No, I haven't heard of those yet. But I have nominated one or two PFF fics for the Hourglass Awards at UR, so hopefully that'll bring a few roomies in. Helping/critiquing writing is definitely a good idea - doesn't even have to be a fanfic! I'd suggest a place for critiquing/requesting graphics, since that was the PFF forum's most popular section before. |

I agree completely with you ![]() Maybe a General area? That would be closely related to Hijacking, though... |

Irvin, were you a judge for the Hourglass Awards? Anyway, how is everyone's summer so far? |

Yeah, I was a judge for Hourglass, though apparently my sense of humor differs from the roomies'. Still the winner was one of the final three or four I was considering, so can't complain there. My summer was depressingly HP-free. I was in a community of Twilight fans with no computer/Internet. And needless to say HBP the movie thoroughly depressed me (even my wizard hat wilted in disappointment). My only solace was the set of HP books in my closet that I started reading through (I'm halfway through HBP now). What about your summer, do anything fun? |

YES!! Finally, someone is back on PFF! I was a judge for Het Romance and AU. phoenixfeather894's 'A Beautiful Mess' was amazing, but unfortunately it didn't win--it was a WIP, anyway. Really? Same here I had too much summer homework to do anything remotely HP, except watch the movie, which I found wasn't too bad.I went to Nova Scotia and my uncle's wedding in Virginia, how about you? |

Yeah...sorry I kinda abandoned you, I had no computer access all summer.
Well, I spent most of the summer in the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania, but I took a cruise to Nova Scotia at the end of summer. Anyway, I'm back now! Back to my shiny brand-new laptop, back to The Group That Shall Not Be Named and all the insane events they have going on, and (unfortunately) back to the nightmare of college apps. But the last one isn't all bad - my college essay was about how HP impacted my life

![]() Did you take Carnival for your cruise? We met so many people that came to Nova Scotia via Carnival. I've never been to the Poconos except for a barbecue, but it sounds like fun! Ooh, a shiny new laptop? Which type? Haha, your college essay being about how HP impacted your life is kind of funny :] It'll definitely be original! |

Nah, Carnival is boring. I went on the Caribbean Princess! My shiny new laptop is the Dell Inspiron 1545, and I am totally loving it! |
