Remember when science discovered early relative to Humans? Well if you don't the fossil was named Ida and it caused a media and scientific shit storm of biblical proportions. For those of you who still are going @.@

Seems that Jorn Hurum, the man that made the discovery, didn't go though all the proper channels and once other scientist got their hands on his paper on the fossil was his claim challenged.

"Our analysis and results have convinced us that Ida was not an ancestor of monkeys, apes or humans, and if anything, has more relevance for our understanding of lemur and loris origins," Seiffert told The Guardian. Seiffert published his findings in the October issue of Nature.
