XD So, this is a topic for the members (staff included) to post what they'd like to see from PMF's new root admin. Changes and such. I'll add stuff as it's posted. 1. To remain focused on Pokémon Spriting, to improve the Pokémon Spriting and Fakemon communities as a whole. 2. A complete staff overhaul to knock out those who haven't been there. 3. A lot of contests and such to bump activity. 4. A giant recruitment/advertising initiative and possibly benefits for recruitment/advertising. 5. A complete overhaul/removal of the rank system and Spriter system. 6. Replacement of WoS with something else, and major improvements to PMR and it's staff. 7. A styleswitcher with member-made styles. Maybe there can be a better way of doing the Rank system, possibly without it, but I would want to see the Spriter system go. Changed, maybe, but I'd hope to keep it's basics. It's one of the PMF traditions that I would like to see stay. Of course, that's just my own opinion.

Woop? Posts: 109 Group: Member Member #62 Joined: January 4, 2009	I don't think they should get rid of the rank system. I think it give people a reason to want to be active. As I don't think that the Sriter System should be gone either, mostly it get people a reason to sprite so they can become a Spriter or A Elite Spriter, but thats my opinion.

D: If I think of any ideas, then I'll say something, but I don't have any as of yet. As for #4: I think that PMR benefits would be nice, like getting a special item for every x amount of members you attract or something. There can be additional options for those who don't RP, I suppose. #5: I like the spriter system (if it's what I think it is: actively spriting is spriter and high quality is elite spriter), but the rank system is kind of convoluted and I don't like that you can't apply to be a spriter until after you obtain ranks or whatever it is right now.

To go off of this, I think that a) we should have at least 1 more assistant to speed it up, even if it's only until opening. b) specific guidelines on how far we should go before opening. Rank 1 changed a while ago. You can apply for Spriter whenever as long as you have been a member for a month.

Every five blog posts is worth one point. Being a Spriter is worth ten points. Being an Elite Spriter is worth another ten points. Every 200 posts are worth one point. These "points" end up as your rank. ...well, I'd like to see WoS get revived.

How would you give the benefits of each rank? (Unless x points gave one rank, as opposed to the points being the ranks, which is what I understood.)

Sure, that's what it was originally intended for but 90% or more of the members have moved on now. Look at the board activity as it is now, it's all Gaming Plaza and General Talk. There are 1 of 3 directions I think that PMF could possibly go: - Expand all forms of Digital art. - Expand to an all Pokemon board. -Expand to a Nintendo or video gaming forum. This would bring in a larger audience and would increase activity among current member. How,ever we can still keep spriting. Put PMR on hold until there is a larger interest in playing it than there is making it. Make a strategy to have PMR less work to produce and manage, and simpler to play. Keep the Rank system and keep the Spriter system, but adjust according to which field the forum wants to specialize in. Increase the staff as we increase in members. It could follow the pyramid system we have used before: 1 Founder 2 Admins 3 Smods Complete abolishing of safe4work/school/mommy rules. We're all mature, so who cares if people swear or say sexual things. Just put a warning on the topic title if the topic contains inappropriate things. Edited by Ilex, March 22, 2009, 4:35 pm.

Pokémon: Nope, way too many big forums to compete with once again. Nintendo/Video Gaming: Once again, too much competition. If we did expand, I'd say expand to all types of spriting like CS, or just stay with Pokémon spriting. The formula we've been using isn't broken, it's just we need some new members to replace those who aren't coming back.
