lol sorry Shed, had to do it. XD So, this is a topic for the members (staff included) to post what they'd like to see from PMF's new root admin. Changes and such. I'll add stuff as it's posted. 1. To remain focused on Pokémon Spriting, to improve the Pokémon Spriting and Fakemon communities as a whole. 2. A complete staff overhaul to knock out those who haven't been there. 3. A lot of contests and such to bump activity. 4. A giant recruitment/advertising initiative and possibly benefits for recruitment/advertising. 5. A complete overhaul/removal of the rank system and Spriter system. 6. Replacement of WoS with something else, and major improvements to PMR and it's staff. 7. A styleswitcher with member-made styles. Remeber that old project? Edited by Seika, March 21, 2009, 11:37 am.

Hm. Of all those, the only one that bothered me was 5. Maybe there can be a better way of doing the Rank system, possibly without it, but I would want to see the Spriter system go. Changed, maybe, but I'd hope to keep it's basics. It's one of the PMF traditions that I would like to see stay. Of course, that's just my own opinion. |

i like the rank thing. D: but definitely something to make it more active and such, like it used to be. i'd also say get pmr up sooner rather than later if possible. |

I don't think they should get rid of the rank system. I think it give people a reason to want to be active. As I don't think that the Sriter System should be gone either, mostly it get people a reason to sprite so they can become a Spriter or A Elite Spriter, but thats my opinion. |

Please try to find some incentive for people to use the PMF Dex so PMR can go faster. D: If I think of any ideas, then I'll say something, but I don't have any as of yet. As for #4: I think that PMR benefits would be nice, like getting a special item for every x amount of members you attract or something. There can be additional options for those who don't RP, I suppose. #5: I like the spriter system (if it's what I think it is: actively spriting is spriter and high quality is elite spriter), but the rank system is kind of convoluted and I don't like that you can't apply to be a spriter until after you obtain ranks or whatever it is right now. |

To go off of this, I think that a) we should have at least 1 more assistant to speed it up, even if it's only until opening. b) specific guidelines on how far we should go before opening. Edit: Sorry for double post, I was going to copy the previous post into this one then delete it so I could have the quote, but I realized I can't delete posts. Rank 1 changed a while ago. You can apply for Spriter whenever as long as you have been a member for a month. |

I had this weird idea for the rank system: Every entry you add to the PMF Dex is equal to one point. Every five blog posts is worth one point. Being a Spriter is worth ten points. Being an Elite Spriter is worth another ten points. Every 200 posts are worth one point. These "points" end up as your rank. ...well, I'd like to see WoS get revived. |

I think that's what the ranks are now; they may not be the same numbers, but the same concept. |

I think as big a part it WAS to PMF, the spriter system is outdated and needs to go. I like Kam's idea for ranks better than what we currently have. |

Admittedly, my idea for ranks was pretty half-assed. But I think it could work. |

That rank system faces technical difficulties. How would you give the benefits of each rank? (Unless x points gave one rank, as opposed to the points being the ranks, which is what I understood.) |

x points would equal one rank, yes. I think that's what Kam meant. |

Yep. Every, say, 5 or 10 points would equal 1 rank. |

Digital art: No, too many big forums to compete with and not enough interests in non-spriting fields. Pokémon: Nope, way too many big forums to compete with once again. Nintendo/Video Gaming: Once again, too much competition. If we did expand, I'd say expand to all types of spriting like CS, or just stay with Pokémon spriting. The formula we've been using isn't broken, it's just we need some new members to replace those who aren't coming back. NSFW Rules: Yes, I agree. get rid of the fucking swear rules goddamnit. Wait. We have to get younger. As much as I like to swear, we have to think about those who don't like to... |

I agree with Ethan we should respect those who don't like to swear, especialy if we stay Pokémon Spriting Forum we might get some younger members, so it wouldn't be a good idea to get rid of the swearing rule, plus we've been perfectly fine without it have we not? |

Pokémon fans who are intelligent enough to contribute to our forum are probably older and don't care about swearing. |
