:SOAPBOX: So my tire has gone bald :CRAP: and no one around my area has the size I need in stock :HELP: I called around and even went in to the new dealer close to me. They said it will take about a week and a half  I could get that from Richard Jordan and it will be here in a few days (but I digress) ;ROLLEYES: . I found Kawasaki/Suzuki Dealer about 50 miles from me that had it in stock  . They were charging $50 more than the other places I called except that I had to order them -ok. I figure I really need the front tire since my tire is pretty much bald. I don't own a bike jack and the right tools to remove my wheel so I asked for cost of install - they asked what brand my bike was and size...blah...blah blah $82 for installation. I say ok I have a Hyosung-Korean branded bike that I am taking there in about an hour or so and the service person said "ok we'll hold the tire for you and just come on down". I have been up since 3 this morning due to work, but hey I may be tired but I really need a front tire. It took me around 35 minutes to get there and was directed to take my bike to the back for service. I pull up and the lady goes "that's a nice looking bike, what is it?". I replied (like I told her over the phone0 "It's Hyosung made in Korea. Her response was "ohh...umm...we can't work on those". I was disappointed was thinking out loud ( I was really tired) "dag nabit - what a freaking waste of time...I guess I'll just have to figure something else out". Her reply was "you can take the wheel off and bring it in and we'll put it on for you for $15". I replied "well as I mentioned on the phone I do not have the tools to take 'em off hence the willingness to pay $80 for you guys to install it, but that's ok I'll just take off and find another solution". I was ticked off but still respectful. I started putting my gear back on and she goes "wait, let me ask my service manager and see what he has to say". "OK" I responded. A few minutes later he comes out asking who makes it. I replied the same answer as the lady I was talking to. His response was "Well we cant work on these kind of bikes - they are inferior products made with poor quality materials, but if you take the wheel off and take it in we can install the tire for you. My suggestions is bring it back to where you bought it to get the tire and installation done". I was just ticked off before, but now I'm fuming (on the inside) but still trying to be respectful. I told him these is not just some Chinese brand or fly by night company. It is Korean and they have been in business for a long time and has had ties with Suzuki a long time ago. He doesn't know when to shut up and doesn't care about future customers I guess and he adds "I don't believe that...never heard about Suzuki being tied to an off brand. I put my helmet on and felt insulted and belittled for not having a brand that he sells. That's customer service for you (-lots of sarcasm on this statement-) I have worked in retail industry for 13 years. There are different products with different price points. Sure some of the expensive ones may have extra bells and whistles but doesn't always equate to superior quality. Now if you were in business would you carry items that are junk and tell people that what you are selling is considered junk? I guess if you are unscroupulous you would by junk and sell it as the best thing since sliced bread. It's sad and infuriating to talk to so-called sales people that are so closed-minded that they have no wish or inclination to improve themselves. Oh well screw them anyway. :SURRENDER: Sorry and Thank You for reading my ranting...needed to vent so bad :CRAP: :BAWL: BTW: In case any one wanted to know which dealer this was...and would like to get ticked off talk with the service people at West Coast Motorsports 3845 N. Yeah I can see where you are coming from I would have been real pissed as well. It amazes me some of these shops stay in business, supposedly their customers like being given the run around. |

| :OLD: That ranks in the top five of worst service Departments I have ever heard of. I would make sure that every one I talk to even one on the brand he sells all about his stupidity. We only work on what we sell till it comes to tires. Granted we donot sell many as another dealer here has become a major tire dealer for motorcycles and scooters. You should contact the BBB about him also. |

| :OLD: I would go so far as to contact the major brand that he sells and let them know what kind of service he is offering. I doubt that he never does that to his own brand that he sells. |

:HANDCLAP: Good going guys. Ach, I feel your pain bro. I have washed my hands of my selling dealer. I think they knew less about thier product than I did. Fortunately for people like us, we have this massive resource for information and help. I plan to do my own repairs, tires, etc. Curious tho... howz your back tire? The front wore out first? I have more life on my front tire than on the rear on my Venox. In fact I'm going to need one soon. Let us know the outcome Ach. Take care! :HYOSUNGCOOL: [redit]I can't spell or type LOL[/redit] Edited by annox, Sunday, 30. November 2008, 17:26.
