A sharp, biting wind blew in from the north, ruffling the fields of golden wheat. At the center of the field, a circle of plant life, ten feet in diameter iced over, cold frost killing the fragile root work. At the center of the circle stood a tall impossibly thin man. He looked like he should have been dead, his hair and skin was covered with a fine webbing of ice, as if he himself had met the same fate as the wheat around him, his breath froze in the air, and fell to shatter in a thousand pieces to the hard ground. Scanning the area, he smiled slowly, his smile was cold and hard, yet undeniably beautiful. |
