He jumped a bit as she went off, not really expecting that. He turned round to follow her though, letting her lead. Perhaps her authority would be enough to frighten the path itself into leading her the right way. Jack plunged his hands into his pockets and took a few half-hearted strides in her wake, hunching his shoulders as water dripped down his back. |
