Prince Charming, much to his displeasure had found himself in the woods once again. He was to be investigating numerous sightings of a giant, but was more focused on a maiden he heard about that was asleep in a tower. Like his brother's Rapunzel, but much less odd, and hopefully with better in-laws. The witch had not only cast Rapunzel into the desert where she bore her brother's twins, but rendered Jordan blind. It was a shame to see his handsome brother always trying to calm down his wife from her crying and whining, Cinderella was luckily much more mild mannered. Rather boring sometimes in fact. And that's why this new slumbering maiden intrigued him, now that he had his princess, he was now needing a new challenge in his life. And pleasing Cinderella was no challenge. Caleb sighed, and place his hand on his angular chin in a thoughtful manner. That was one good thing about the woods, it gave a place to think. How would he see this maiden? What would wake her up? Oh, yes, and what about the wife? It was a very hard confusing life for a Charming prince. So many subjects to ponder. |

Jordan had heard the rumor of the damsel trapped in her glasss casket. This news, of course, intrigued him. The possibility of the company of a woman who did more than shriek and cry? It was one that he couldn't pass up. Besides, a prince should have other lovers, right? He needed an heir, and if Rapunzel's children should die, he would need others. This was why he had once again entered the woods. Prior to a very recent entry into the woods, he had avoided this place his whole life. Now, however, Jordan found that it was difficult to stay away. There was so much to be discovered, so much chance, and he liked that about this place. As he wandered, pondering what he might discover, mulling over the idea of this trapped away maiden, Jordan stumbled into the same area that his brother was searching. A glance upwards was enough to tell him that Caleb was too thinking hard. "Hello, brother," he called out in a firm greeting. |

Damnable gnomes!! There she'd been, minding her own business, strolling through the woods picking ferny roots for a potion. Though, the witch's concoctions nowadays were nothing more than murky drinks that she'd drink just for kicks. Really, she shouldn't even really be called 'the witch' anymore. Araba was less of a witch than her damn neighbors next door! Anyway, back to the gnome. Araba had been picking ferny roots, minding her own business, when she heard a shuffling from up the path. She'd flicked her eyes over to the source of the noise, to see that it was, indeed, a gnome. Well, she usually didn't mind them. Unless they went in her garden and stole her potatoes! Then again, anyone who'd dare go into her garden was someone to be minded. It was her, after all, right? Well, the gnome did not continue walking to pass her by, as she'd hoped. Oh no. He'd stopped when he'd closed the gap between them. Araba decided to act as if he wasn't there of coarse, picking the roots as casually as possible. But he would not go away. He just stood there and stared and stared and stared! Finally, when the elapsed time spent in this fashion had reached three minutes, she'd had it. She snapped her head over her shoulder to give him an icy stare, her long and abundant hair flipping around and bouncing a bit against her back. The gnome merely smirked at her, wiggling his eyebrows in a most inappropriate way! Hmph! This pretty body wasn't all that great. As she'd known of coarse, from the moment her staff began to malfunction, but really, this was just rude! In the end, Araba had decided to pick up and leave. Unfortunately, the gnome followed her. As she darted through the trees and hopped over rocks, she could hear, all the while, his little feet shuffling along in her wake. Leave me alone! Eeew... Her attempt at escaping had lead her to the edge of a clearing where two fancily dressed men stood. The prince brothers, no less! Ugh, would this torture never cease? At the moment, she was far enough away not to be seen, but she feared she might have been heard. This slow, practical way of travelling (that is, not poofing about from place to place like she would have done were her powers still intact) was maddening! Araba darted quickly behind a tree, concealing herself in darkness under a large root. Hopefully the pervy gnome wouldn't see her, nor the princes. |

Caleb looked over at his brother, pleased and also suprised to see his less rugged sibling to be wandering the woods again. "Hello, brother!" He strutted over to the other prince and hugged him in a brotherly, yet manly way. "Why, what brings you into the woods?" He smirked as he often did. "Princes don't wander into the forest for no reason." |

Jordan pulled out of the hug when he deemed that it was becoming too long, and held his brothers shoulders for a moment before backing off completely. "These woods are home to a damsel, I've heard," he answered vaguely, not wanting his brother to become interested in the lady as well. "And, why are you traveling through here today?" His hands came to rest on his hips in a princely manner, out of habit. "Like you said, princes don't wander here for no reason." |

Araba peeked over the root, sitting up on her side and clutching it tentatively. She would recognize those voices anywhere! Those cocky cock-and-bulls. They were talking about damsels. Hah! As if there were any more around here. Now that Rapunzel went off and married that princely poodle. This thought made her witchy-yet-powerless blood boil, and she clutched the root a bit harder. Remembering that it was the fairer one who'd snagged her daughter, Araba turned a stony gaze on him. Sizing him up. Well, he was handsome. But in that head, she could only picture soggy noodles. Or dried up worms. Akin to, perhaps, the anal cavity of a dog. So many variations, all wielding the same results... She did not dare look back to check for the gnome. If he saw her looking, she'd be doomed. Doomed! |
