This is an RPG based on the fairy tales we all know and love. The catch is, these aren't your sweet cuddly sparkly princess fairy tales in the cartoons you've probably seen. This is based on the original tales. Some of the most well known fairy tales have deep roots in ancient cultures from around the world. These original works include macabre and dark undertones, and in some cases are more complex and interesting than the Disney versions.

This is also an RPG based on the musical Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim. The musical, for those who haven't seen it, is inspired by the book The Uses of Enchantment: The Meaning and Importance of Fairy Tales by Bruno Bettelheim. Sondheim meshed a bunch of fairy tales together and made a poignant, revealing story based on themes of human nature and the impact that environment and upbringing have on children. I would recommend going out and renting the filmed version of the show from 1991, or having a listen to the original Broadway soundtrack if you want to.

Knowledge of Into the Woods is not required for joining and participating in this site however.
