 "You make me sound like a vampire, sayin' it like tha'," she replied with a wry little smile. "Fraid I will need t' get some blood from ye."

Gryphon crossed the infirmary with her usual birdlike, darting movement. One moment, she seemed to be standing in front of the pilot, the next, in front of the drawer where she kept her needles. Had Dodge blinked, she might have missed the transition from one place to the other entirely.

With practiced ease, she put a fresh needle tip on the syringe and dug out an antiseptic pad and tie. "Don't worry," she said, "I'm good at this- it'll only sting for a mo."

Again, that quick darting motion. It was no wonder that the infirmary floor was as clear as it was- otherwise, she would likey trip over something without realizing. Once more she stood in front of the new pilot. "Arm please."
"I'm an optimist. That may be a crime to you twisted so-and-sos, but it keeps me from goin' crazy."
