Final Fantasy IV, made by Square Enix, was recently remade for the Nintendo DS and was released on July 22, 2008.

Story
The game centers around one of the greatest male Final Fantasy protagonists ever, Cecil, who is captain of an elite squad of soldiers called the Red Wings. Plagued with uncertainty over his kings’ orders, he turns looking for a path of redemption in order to repent for his blood stained past. The story unfolds into an elaborate plot full of trials, betrayals, friendships, loss, and self-discovery.

Gameplay
The player controls the characters as they move through castles, towns, forests, deserts, dungeons, and so on. They expand their arsenal of weapons and items via stores and treasure chests and by fighting enemies - standard RPG stuff. The player is able to switch back and forth between an active and waiting battle system for the turned based, random encounter combat.

Graphics
The graphics for the game look very good and polished for a Nintendo DS game, and it even has a beautiful CG cut scene for the introduction. The character and enemy sprites are nice, and even do well done animations based on what they're told to do on the battlefield.

Sound
The music in this game, as it is in most Final Fantasies, is beautifully composed. It really adds depth to the environment you’re in. The voice acting for the game is also well done, but I hear that my opinion on that is in the minority.

I bought this game a couple of days after its release date, and have been thoroughly impressed by it.
