THE CAKE IS A MOTHER EFFING LIE! XD Yeah, Orange Box isn't really new. My brother's had it for a while. Portal is fun to at least LISTEN to. And one of the Half Life games reminds me quite a bit of Resident Evil, I can't quite figure why. |

I remember the ORIGINAL Half Life. I think it ruled. No, but seriously, the chick in the OB version reminds me of Claire Redfield er something. |

Portal was a very different game. As it started, it mostly didn't have any story at all. A simple puzzler with an awesome style of gameplay, rewriting what could be a platformer or 1st person game, or any genre at all. It bent rules and broke new ground. Not only that, but the hilariously cold comments from GlaDOS, your sole companion which was a computerized voice with a sick humor, made it one of the funniest games I've ever played. The ending was incredible, not to spoil anything for anyone, but it's not what you would expect in a puzzle game. Portal is simply the best game I've ever played. Short, replayable for months, witty, deep and fun. That is why the phrase "The Cake Is A Lie" became so popular. That and Team Fortress 2 is Big Smoke. BOINK! |
