Welcome to Orone, the Hub of the Worlds, an original pulp fantasy play by post RPG. Take some time to wonder around and see the sights of the big city, and remember: don't feed the goblins!

Orone is a wondrous magical anomaly: a series of floating islands located at a nexus of inter-planar portals. In other words, a multiversal crossroads. The city which has grown upon these isles over the millenia since it's discovery have come to encompass individuals from hundreds of worlds, thousands of races, and millions of backgrounds. The city is currently ruled by fifteen great guilds, each possessing their own unique philosophy and vision for what the Hub of Worlds should be. From noble knights to shady demons, and from fumbling mechanists to all-mighty dragons, we've got it all.

Except for you.

Now, at the moment, you're viewing our forum as a guest. This means that you're limited to browsing, unable to post, vote in polls, interact with the other users, et al. Basically, you can't tell your story or add your ideas to the pot as you are right now. Orone Proper

The Bazaar of Worlds
The buildings in this district are flat roofed, linked by a confusing web of bridges and balconies, their interiors having been transformed into massive indoor markets. The twisting, impromptu streets that weave between the stalls and shops of the merchants are crammed with beings of incredible diversity.

Lake District
The towers of this district rise thousands of feet into the sky, and between them snake the channels and aqueducts that feed the rest of the city. Above these channels rise a dizzying array of bridges and skyways which link the various levels of the massive edifices housing a good portion of the city's middle class inhabitants, as well as their many businesses.

The Woods
This district owes its name to the extensive network of public parks, common greens, and temple grounds where the last true vestiges of wilderness in Orone can still be found, the thickets and groves intermixed with graceful towers, stately colleges, and sprawling temples. Rising above most of the towers of this district is the Crow Street Station, the heart of Orone's massive Sky Tram system.

The Forge
The industrial heartland of Orone, the Forge's soot-choked sky eternally smoulders an angry orange due to its eponymous foundries. There are residences and smaller businesses here, but most of the district is given over to industry.

The Undercity
Beneath the great towers of Orone lie the ancient sewers and ruins of the Undercity, where homes and shops are little more than glorified alcoves and alleyways, and the stench of garbage and rot hangs heavy in the air.
