Musky fishing from Collingwood involves at least a two hour drive . My destination of choice is the Moon River Basin on Georgian Bay south of Parry Sound . Three full days of fishing in this area has yielded one lousy pike . this area is full of countless islands , channels , currents , and depths from 2 feet to 100 feet . Various trolling speeds , every lure in the boat , rain , white caps , and cold temperatures are not bringing any musky into the boat . We usually connect with pike , pickeral , bass , etc. if not musky . The fish finder is marking lots of big fish both on the drop-offs and in the weedbeds . Is anybody else finding this to be true . ( I'm using the wife's laptop and can't get a question mark to show). Can anybody give Troller some info or hints . This year , I need all the help I can get . Thanks

:freakincold: Butch is going out tomorrow on LOW. Have heard reports of much success. Although everyone is saying the troll bite it later this year, so be patient I would say. We're going to be pushing the edge, plan on trolling till it ices up. :freakincold:

I think you're right about going till things ice-up . Fishing has been slightly later all season down here around Collingwood . Most guys report smaller fish in all species and not the numbers they used to catch . Bassaddict and Scotty are probably the exception . I think they had a great Bass season putting a lot more fish in the boat than most of us . Still open to more advice or ideas to improve what's left of the season . I have to get out with #1Moose for some fall rainbow in the rivers (he's outfished me all season as well) .The brothrer-in-law and myself are still going to give the Moon a couple of more shots . Hate to come home empty handed when we've marked so many fish . Still open to advice and tips-Thanks-TROLLER
