I had been bored a few years back and decided to build my own tip up for lake trout. It does work well and take note of the high tech release. The weight of the dime is enough to feed line continously once it is released. I also use this for walleye fishing especially when they are biting light. Notice the magnet that holds the dime. |

Nice set up, I use something similar but use a slug from an electrical outlet instead of a dime (too cheap to use a dime, the line might break). |
