well i make my own plugs,,suspenders twitch baits and deep runners myself. I usually whittle them from drift wood,,but you can use old wooden broom handles even..lol
I grab the hardware i need off of other used plug and such,,or go by them myself.
once i get the shape I want,,be it a two piece twitch or a deep runner..I'll start to paint it up.
then I'll add my hardware on..I'll post a pic of my very first one I did...Don't laugh to hard fellas...It was my first attempt and I was young..lol..

what it would look like ...no hardware except lip

So i would have a treble hook on the bottom of the top piece,(mid way),,,a treble hook on the bottom piece (Midway),,and a treble out of the tail end ....just find the balance and there ya go..i used this and it was awesome top water twitchbait for walking the dog for Pike,,and also for quick retieves as a 5 foot depth swimmer......but since it was my first one,,,i retired it in case a Big Pike wanted her more...lol..

that looks good big foot I have a few muskey body baits in the works and I buy the hardware at luremaking.com This year I have been making my own spinnerbaits and they have been working great, I use them for bass mostly but pike whack them too, I make them heavy 3/4 ounce to 1 ounce with 5 inch skirt. I also make my own worm harnesses.

That looks great bigfoot. You don't even want to see my first attempt. I've tried a few times
but can never get the lip angle quite right. So it doesn't swim to good. Any suggestions?

Thanks for that web address bassaddict I've been looking for somewhere to get the hardware.
