If you have some shots of walleye post them here with a short description. Anytime you post normally be sure to put your picture in here too. This will grow and grow. :fish2:

Here is Cowtown's (all the way from Texas) first winter walleye. He jumped on a plane last winter and joined a group of people from Thunder Bay out on Lac.

Here is a photo of me and renegade and and our limit of eyes. OUt with our respective wives we met up for shore lunch one day on LOTW. Hard pressed to say who had the bigger catch. Looks pretty even. Good times.

I usually try for eaters myself and have been lucky enough to get some big ones and learn how to catch them consistently. The fish pictured all came from july and august. Each year I refine my tactics and try for bigger fish along with some eaters. This years goal is to catch some on the fly rod :fishing1:

Feel free to shed some light on the secrets of taking those big eye's. Do you get any hardwater fishing action in? Great pictures again.

No real secrets, I would say the biggest thing is to get a good graph. I use a Lowrance with a GPS and a SD Lake card for detail. I have fished the same area for the last 10 years but only after getting a good graph did I understand the real structure and where the fish were. I fish open water structure with a vatiety of techniques, trolling deepwater cranks and lindy rigging bait although I have now switched to Gulp. The biggest thing is finding structure that has bait fish and fish on it which some days means running from spot to spot. For years I marked fish around these structures but now with the GPS graph I can stay on them and keep my baits in the right place. As for lures and baits I catch them on a variety from night crawlers to walley divers. One thing I will say is that I have caught big ones on some Bizarre colors so don't be afraid to experiment
