Fisherman tend to be a secretive lot but share want you can so others can learn and take a kid fishing. I will be posting pretty good guides to some lakes in Marathon area I fish frequently.

Haliburton Lake here in the highlands is produceing well for lake trout use large white tube jigs, live minnows or a williams 1/2 and1/2 rippled finish. There is a main group of huts fish to the south east of these and you should do well [not to far from them]

Lake of Bays is also a hot spot for Lake Trout whitefish and a few speckies For lakers try out from main public launch across from golf resort. fish from 20 - 50 ft of water use standered trout lures [tip here for some reason trout will take a lure that is slowly and I mean slow up and down in a 1-2 ft sweep] brookies try along the shore east of the launch towards stream that runs under the road in,small baits work well here.Whitefish try Rabbit bay one of the best spots on the lake jig or use a tip up be warned on a tip up these whites are fast and light biters.

Not sure where every one else fishes....but we fish Lake Erie for rainbows, pickeral and perch usually just nail them. The French River is great for pickeral, pike, small mouth large mouth, cat fish and muskie the only thing with the French is there are slot sizes depending on the type of fish. ( pickeral ) The creek behind my house is great for rainbows which opens the last Sat. in April, there are lots of fish in the sea don't have a problem giving a fishing report from my end of the lake either :fish2:
