Went out yesterday afternoon to the middle of Lake Erie (or it seemed). Had my limit of eyes in about 30min. ranging from 3-6lbs. After spending all that time getting out that far I decided to stick around and have some fun. Caught another 13 eyes in about an hour.  What a blast! Skipped work today and went out again, 9 for 11. Let two big hogs go that were in the 9-10lbs range. Fished about two and a half hours. Had two double headers lost one each time. Also managed a small bow today. It is incredible out there. Fished Erie for about twenty years now and have never seen it this good. I hope it sustains itself and doesn't crash for 10yrs like back in the mid 80's. Sorry no pics I was too tired and had lots of fish to clean. |

Way to go.  Haven't got out here in a bit but from what I heard the bite was slow. Perch in Wheatley are strong, people are limiting right off the beach.
