Went out to a Bass Lake and tried our luck at catchin some for the Smoker, Well lets just say My youngest schooled the most of us...She was fishing a Jig with a dew work of the side of the boat while I trolled around...Se hooked more fish then I with the more usual tackle for bass.. The best part of the day is when she hooked into one around the 5 LB mark and she was battleing it but it snapped her line....She said " My hart was beating so hard it felt like is was going to come out of my chest" I know that feelinf And she tried so hard after that to catch another......And she did but it was a pike and with the samne end result...I need to change her line!!! It was a good day though.

I get 'schooled' all the time. That's what fishing is all about, teaching young ones and then being outfished by them. Seeing the excitement in there faces when a fish hits the line. Smoked bass eh?? Do you marinate the meat first? I have never tried that. |
