When throwing topwater lures. It is very important to cast accurately. When I make a cast and land right next to a bush a rock or any structure. I let the lure sit for a good ten seconds. There is a very high chance your lure will get busted before you even twitch it once. If it does not get busted on I can almost gaurantee the first few tugs on the line will get the reaction bite we all are looking for. If the wind blows the lure and accuaracy is off. I work the lure in a non-normal manner to try and create a feeding frenzy. This is some of the stuff I picked up on from Bronzeback at the Kenora Bass International last summer.
