Smelt Posts: 181 Group: Global Moderators Member #6 Joined: Jan 30, 2008	Well, me and pops made it to Geraldton again for the Walleye Classic this year. Once again we had a great bite both days but just missed catching anything of any real size. We had a lot of great under 18's though that kept us lurking around the money but unfortunately we came just shy with 12th spot. The forecast was for rain both days, however, and we ended up only getting a smattering of rain on sunday so all in all we had some good luck there. This year the tournament location was moved closer to town to invite more audience participation and the volunteers worked hard to make the new format work. Aside from a few glitches and time delays things went well and with a little tweaking I think the new location will be great next year. Congratulations to Cory Nephin and Tom Friday on their win. It was a tight race. My buddy Kelly Koistra and Roger Mayer did well too going into day two in 4th place but they just couldn't get any size on Sunday, although they were hauling them in hand over fist a stones throw away from me, and dropped to 8th. PS My camera battery died so I only have 4 bad pics. I may or may not post them :wink:. BB.

Fish Egg Posts: 1 Group: New member Member #180 Joined: Apr 24, 2009	Geraldton is one of the best run events on the NOPWT, been there twice now, love the parade of boats concept, that was a hoot, i think everyone had a blast last this. Looking forward to this years event.
