Would have loved to make the drive to the west end of the lake but the wind didn't warrant the gas bill. Still determined to get out I hooked up the boat and headed to the lake. The fellow that runs the bait shop looked surprised when I asked for some minnows. I quote "you goin out??" "Yep" put the boat in at the launch and get asked again "you goin out? Did you look at the lake? I responded with yep and no. Well the lake was a wee bit rough. Four footers average with the odd five to six foot roller. In between the big waves was a nice one foot chop. Perfect for anchoring for perch. I was the only moron out there but did manage to come home, with some perch. I hope this Sunday is better. Sorry no pics this time forgot the camera. |

Now that's dedication. Glad to here you got out. I stayed in port and worked on the boat. Lots of big fish were caught on sat for the tournament in colchester. 29 " was 10 th and 30 something was 1 st. With a whole bunch of ties.

Yeah dedication, or as my wife says just being stubborn. Tough to fight mother nature but once in awhile I give her a go. Just love being on the water. |
