I need a new one this year and was wondering if those new tubular gel styles are worth the almost triple price in a deep cycle trolling motor use?

i have never had any experience with those batteries but I have run 3 years on the Energizer deep cycles from walmart and they have never let me down, they have 180 reserve minutes. :fish2:

did some reading on these and they are supposed o hold thier charge longer in hit weather, which is good for the summer fishing season. if my fishing partner didn't just pick up 3 brand new deep cycle marine batteries i'd get him to buy these and test them

I have a Motomaster gel cell deep cycle and to be honest with you, I'm not too happy with it. I only run a little 36lb thrust trolling motor on the back of my 14 foot aluminum and can get only 6-7 hours on and off before charging. I think the best bang for the buck is the energizer batteries. I know a few fellas that have them and they make my gel cell look weak.
