made the call last week to see about getting my boat ready for the water, booked myself a slip just down the road for the season as well. Just need to figure out the kicker motor issue and am pretty much done and ready for water. |

Hey Ian, any turkeys yet? How big is your boat, and how big is the motor? My boat has a 90hp on it and works well for trolling. Or are you worried about gas mileage? As long as you can get your speed between 2 and 3 mph you will no trouble catching eyes and bows. Even with the gas mileage issue I run out to the 12mile range fish most of the day and run in and it usually costs me between 20 to 25bucks. Anyway you may not necessarily need a kicker. fish.... |

that's a good one, main reason why my plug has been covered over with the green goo you heat up for aluminum. no worries about forgetting that, plus it's not like i can't flip my 12 footer over and empty it anyways |

After 2 days of working on the boat it was finally ready for some water. Put it in and it ran fine the first day then the 2nd it seemed like it was not getting enough fuel. After changing the water separator and cleaning the in line filter at the carb she's all good again. Usually I don't get that lucky.
