Here's a tip I've used so long I don't know where I learned it anymore. To prevent rods from tangling when stored in the boat first attach your hook to the hook keeper or the largest guide. Now take the line (tip to lure)and wrap around the rod a couple times and tuck it behind a guide to hold in place. Not recommended for long term storage as there will be some tension on the rod. Rods should be stored "unsprung" and reels should have drags backed off completely when stored for any length of time. >Bill |

I never thought about letting of the drag so maybe thats why i find the reel not to be in top shape like it used to be. |
