Larvae Posts: 31 Group: Regular Member Member #38 Joined: Feb 1, 2008	This was a pretty good weekend for the opener of the Rainbow trout ,My brother in law ,and best friend make this weekend every season . We scout the rivers every year hoping that the season will be a good one ,but it doesn't alway's work out that way,last season was the best season for how many fish where in the river ,but for some reason they just weren't biting ,but this season was very exceptional. My friend Gord come up from Kitchener Thurs night ,everything was going fine and Sat morning came early ,our plan was to get up at 3:30 and be on the river bank by 4:30 at the latest .Everyone showed up except for my buddy Gord ,he was up sick most of the night ,keeping everyone in the house awake ,so unfortunately he never made opening morning ,Of all mornings to miss out on and he was about to find out ,we fished for a couple hours with not a whole lot of action ,but as soon as daybreak hit ,we had a hard time keeping the fish off our lines ,limiting out around 7:30am . It certainly was a great way to begin the weekend,now we go to show Gordo what he missed out on ,let's just say Gordo felt worse after we returned ,knowing that he missed out on a great morning of fishing ,but he would certainly redeem his ill way's that afternoon. We also ran into a good friend and member of our sister forum OTB PatriotVFT ,who also had a great day of fishing himself . Anyway's for 5 guy's fishing we all filled our quota's on Saturday afternoon with Gord catching the final 2 bows of the day. So the remainder of the afternoon we went back to my home and cleaned our fish and prepared for a great fishfry that has become an annual event at my home ,we had a couple strangers show up with Scapko and his son Brandon dropping by for something cold to drink and a bit to eat ,he also filled my boots with a couple beer can's before he left , just to say he will pay for that one .The weekend was great ,the fish were biting and everyone played safe once again . It was an awsome day with lot's of good fishing. nubo
