I like to run 3M line, the last line I bought I also got line cleaner, lets face it fly line is a big purchase. I forget the brand I got, I cleaned my line about every four trips and before I put it away for the season. It never really did the job well and the next season when I got the gear out it looked as if my line was weather cracked. I wasn't to happy. I have to replace the line this year and was wondering what you guys use for cleaning your line. |

Easy soap and water clean up: One sponge with soapy water. Pull the line through it. One Sponge with clean water. Reel it back in through that. Extra dirty or salty line. Strip it into a sink or tub of soapy water, swish it around. Rinse. If you clean your lines regularly, before they feel or look like they need it, they are easier to clean and keep clean. |
