Hey all...

Had the pleasure of heading out to the fish store.....on lake of bays today...with Kennyg his buddy Dave

and outdoor writer... and buddy....Harley.....

the morning started off at a balmy minus 18....with clear and sunny conditions to contend with again....

we headed out to the usual haunt....in about 40 to 45 feet of water.... and set up shop....

it was not long before Dave had this one on the ice...

the Fish finder told us after about an hour or so...it was time to move on....so we headed out for some deeper water

and set up shop again....this time we were in about 85 feet of water...on 12" ice.....

Harley was first to get a bump....but no takers...then Dave managed to have another really good hit and came close to losing a rod down the hole....but his wise choice of setting it on a bucket that grabbed the reel...saved the day...

and his rod...

I thought we may end up with a "scene of the crime photo"...Dave lost this fish while hand over handing the line...up

wasnt too long after I had my first hit and miss....but I soon recovered and managed to put one one the ice...

(now residing in my fridge)

Maybe a photo on one of the guys camera's.... just not mine...lol

a while passed and I followed that with another... a really dark colored fish which was released...

I managed one more for the day.... but still a slow day for this spot....

it was nice to see a C.O. out checking outdoors cards today....and after a quick chat he was off to check some

others...

I really dont like bright sunny days for laker fishing... but you dont get to pick the weather very often...

so you have to take whats available....

all in all a nice day out again....

I stopped into a splake lake I know on the way home and had the pleasure of meeting a couple more guys from the board...and having a nice chat with them as well....

they had also fallen prey to the sunny day...

keep on drillin
