Bass Posts: 305 Group: Admins Member #52 Joined: Feb 2, 2008	Scotty and I headed out to joe today about mid morning. Had a real slow start with Scotty finally hooking up on his first laker ever a nice 2 pounder. I didnt get a bit at 3 different spots I drilled at, i moved 1 last time and soon as I dropped the jig down, I got a hit! I set the hook and line started ripping off my home made ice rod. I yell to Scotty that I may need a hand. He starts walking over and the line is still peeling off and I yell "its going to spool me". Well I guess a couple other guys heard as well and came over. After about a 10 minute battle this is what we sqeeze through the hole. After We took a couple cell phone pictures and a length measurement (35") It was released to be caught again. The day continued to be slow and as we were just packing up Scotty gives his rig 1 more jig and BANG fish on! I assist him getting the fish up the hole and another awesome laker for lake Joe! About 10 pounds! Acouple pics and released. These were 2 of the biggest I have seen come out of this lake! Mined weighed in at a guessimate 18-20 pounds, mine personal best by far The stars must have been aligned today Edited by Bassaddict, Feb 22 2009, 08:23 PM.
