Some pics from the show...short comments. ![]() Member "BigBullJoe" (Joe Dampier) in helping out a Tao's archery booth, he's in the maroon shirt. Tao has got a lot of great equipment useful to archers in the Thunder Bay area. ![]() The crowds... ![]() A shed in the foreground that has awesome mass. Just recently found by Joe Dampier in Thunder Bay area. ![]() This buck is bigger than it looks. 161 net. 168 gross. brought in by another member from Atikokan but I'll let him share the pic and story when he gets to it. ![]() Gord Ellis on the left Mick Bahonis in the middle and the legendary ALex Guthro on the right. Met Alex for the first time. A real cool guy with stories back to the 70's he mentioned he lived in Marathon back in the 70's working as a high school teacher. He was a hunting back then too. Most know for his moose hunting he loves to deer hunt as well. I got a picture of them just before they had a session on hunting with the crowd. They are all great speakers. ![]() Checkin out all the toys on disply from boats to campers to motor bikes, sleds and wheelers. ![]() Tom Whalley one of many taking turns representing the north shore steelhead association in the red shirt. ![]() "Trapper John" (John Kaplanis) getting friendly with the ladies...lol ![]() Kids shooting range busy all day long. Really a lot for kids to do at theis event. There were shooting galleries, climbing walls, indoor hockey, etc etc. Edited by renegade, Feb 25 2008, 11:58 AM.

It was nice to meet Davis Viehbeck. We chatted briefly at the show and he is very passionate and articulate. Great guy. He gave a presentation at the show which I would have liked to watch but I was burried in measuring critters. These shows are a great place to showcase your products and ideas as a business and to visit as an outdoorsman. The hunting and fishing guru's are all around and willing to chat with everyone. I met many very interesting local hunters and fisherman. It was nice to see so many female hunters at the show. Many kids came in to touch the moose and deer racks. |
