Well looks as the ice is here now trying to get everything ready quickly now so I can get My hut out. Brother in-laws cousin put his out on Thursday I beleive it was off of Jackson's Point He's out 3.3KM in 74 feet of water with 6" of black ice. In four hours they landed 3 trout (one 8lbs) and two Whitefish that same day.

Hopefully my hut will be ready by the weekend.

Heard a couple guys did well off of the second of oro as well this weekend, might try on the weekend. They said there was 4-5 inches good ice.

Looks as if Bonnie Boats are going to be running their Bombi's as of this weekend. Reprots are that there are 12-14" of ice out there.

Another report says there are 16" out on the White shoal.

Fishing seems to be pretty good all across the lake.

Fishing seems to be hit or miss now. Inless you can get into 80+ feet of water then there seems to be lots of fish around. Was out on Monday an never got anything had two hits and that was it.

Try moving the hut today with the ATV and that was useless never got more then 100 yards before giving up. Came home an did alittle work on the neighbours sled so I could use it to move the hut at some point this week. Maybe tomorrow I get back to move it.

Travelling with an ATV can be hard if you are out an away from the huts but can be done. But try pulling anything and it is useless as the bellypans are lifting the weight off of the tires and taking away the traction from the bike.

Going to try an get into deep water off of either Snake or Fox island if I can. If I do I might even change my entance point to the lake to something closer over that way.

Well did manage to move the hut on Wednesday evening with the help of a friends skidoo. Never fished it that night just baited the hole.

Went out yesterday, never got there till 10am. By 1pm I had my trout and had loss a couple of other fish. Loss another in the early afternoon left the hut at 4pm to come in. I'm still just out from Jackson's Point. Wanted to wait an see what ther weather did before heading for Snake island.

Lake wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, for the most part the bikes are riding up. But there are times that it sinks in the slush and can be hard to get out of. Have seen alot worst in years gone by.

Was out on the lake tonight to check on my hut. Lake condition was awesome, no slush or water anywhere. travelling was great you can go anywhere you'd like to now. Fished for 1 1/2 hours an graphed three fish. Fish the worst end of the day didn't even expect to graph anything. Won't get out till Monday now.
