These are here just to protect the game and to insure that all players have an equal chance to play. These rules are meant to guide the actions of the players and admins.
1. Players and Admins have to respect the rules as they are presented. Do not argue the rules that are the fundamental basis for the RPG. Without the rules the RPG would have no base.
2. Respect for all Players alike is mandatory. Your character may have a problem with another player’s character but outside of the game you are not to show any disrespect to that player. OOC Slander, Spamming or Flaming is not tolerated. If proof of this is found, the player will be suspended for 30 days. On a second offense your characters will be deleted. And you will be forced to start back from the beginning. On third offense you will be permanently banned.
3. Respect your Admin and Moderators. We are not perfect. We do not catch everything and we do make mistakes but we are putting forth allot of effort to keep the game moving smoothly so that you can have a pleasant game experience. If you have a problem with an administrator please send a message to another Administrator. Do not post it in public view. Internal affairs are handled very carefully and slandering an admin or moderator is strictly prohibited under penalty of direct Delete and Ban. If you feel your voice is going unheard and no admin will take your side then either your argument is unsound thus we ask that you let it go and move on or you can choose to leave the RPG. We wish all members to be happy but if you feel you cannot come to an agreement it would be better for the other player’s experience that you leave instead of making problems with the staff.
4. Stay in the confines of the RPG. The setting is placed to guide the game as far as what is and isn't possible. Don’t say you have something that doesn't exist in that time period. Don’t say you are a simple farmer who gained the rank of Samurai because it doesn't work that way.
5. Stay in Character. As long as you are role-playing you have to think of that character as a real person. They can’t just randomly change their attitude, beliefs or actions because it would benefit you as the player. There has to be a valid reason for a drastic change in your character.
6. God Modding God Modding is not allowed but is looked on leniently as long as the person is willing to change their post when told to. God Modding refers to: Omnipresence, Omniscient, Immortality, Infallibility, Super Speed, and Indestructibility.
-6.1 Omnipresence means you are everywhere at once. You can not be in one province fighting someone and also be in another province having a discussion. You can be in two different topic in different locations they must be chronologically different. One topic must officially start after the end of the other so that your character doesn’t appear in two places at once.
-6.2 Omniscient means you know everything. If your character wasn't at a place to see it or have had someone there who can tell you about it then you don't know it happened. If two people had a discussion and you weren't at the discussion then you don't know what was said. This also refers to being attacked. If someone is attacking you and there is no possible way for you to know they are attacking then you may have to be hit before you are aware you are under attack. Saying that I feel I must also say that there is no real way to completely attack someone without making a single sign. It is your responsibility as the person being attacked to look for signs of an attack.
-6.3 Immortality means you cannot die. If put into a situation where you cannot think of a feasible response to stop yourself from dying, your character will die. There is no resection for characters so if your character dies you will just have to make another character. If you do find yourself in this situation it is advised you call an admins attention to the matter and make sure the situation you are in, that you can’t find a way out of, is not in violation of the rules. Even if you feel that it is a legal post of the other person it is still advised you get an admin to look at it before you allow your character to die.
-6.4 Infallibility means you are never wrong. Your character has the ability to think he can be wrong but if you cannot simply dismiss something because it’s not how you think it should be.
-6.5 Super Speed means you are so fast that there is no way anyone could hit you. In this RPG at top condition a Samurai would still have to try to dodge a rock thrown by a child. Your eyes are included in this rule. If you see an attack already in motion then you do not have the time to put up a proper defense. don't say "I saw his fist coming at me and raised my sword up to cut his wrist." because if your eyes are already registering his attack coming at you then it too late to do something that needs that much precision.
-6.6 Indestructibility means that you cannot be harmed no matter what damage happens to you. If you cannot role-play a way from not getting cut, then you have to post that you were cut. If you were cut deeply or broke a bone then you have to role-play as if you were cut badly or broke that bone. A Samurai with a broken arm won’t swing as quickly or strong. Someone with a broken leg can't run.
7. Not Posting/ Leave of Absence You are given a 48 hour window to post form the time your opponent posts. If you do not post then you are subject to the full attack as if you did nothing and let their attack hit. If you cannot get on the RPG for a certain amount of time then please post it in the LOA area of the General talk. If for some reason you can’t get on to post your LOA and your character dies as a result then you may petition the staff to allow your character to be granted life back.
8. Availability of posting The 48 hour rule is stick for the reason of keeping Topics moving. If you know that you cannot meet that required time for posting then make it well known with the people you are role-playing with and let the staff know. If they are not okay with your availability to post then it is recommended that you don't rp with them. If you are starting the topic and leaving it open for anyone to join then please put in the description AOP and then the time you require. EX. AOP36
