“Hmmph! You think I’ll back down from your tricks?”

Geralf directed his question at Dahlia, her strength was admirable as she held on to the end of the cane and it looked like she doesn’t have the slightest plan of letting go. The doctor had to make a choice whether to let go of his cane and rely on his physical skills which is close to zero or keep holding on and just brace for another explosion. His knees had become wobbly due to the impact earlier; Dahlia’s attack had too much strength on it despite her miniature size and was causing his knees to buckle so Geralf opted to take the bomb head on.

“I hope you realize that you’ll also get caught on the explosion.”
Smiling as he steeled himself, then a flash of light came bursting out of the tiny bomb. Bang! The doctor fell to his knees, his suit was torn and he was suffering from minor burns. His consciousness was now fading as he dropped to the mat, his grip loosened on the cane.

Amos looked up from his quiver just as Don took a step. He reacted without even thinking. Most would look at Don and think that he was slow and that they didn’t have to worry. That wasn’t the case. This man was impressively fast. Almost as fast as Amos himself, though Amos was lucky in that his shot earlier had slowed the Fishman down.

Amos scooped up his quiver as he jumped backwards, landing softly. The image in front of him was terrifying enough to cause Amos to send a silent thank you to the Goddess and the Horned God above that his earlier blow had slowed him down. Don was spinning in the air, using his tail as a blade. It looked like a whirling death machine and Amos wanted nothing to do with it. Amos reached for an arrow in his quiver but hesitated as Don leapt forward again, this time swinging with his claws.

Amos tried to step backwards but his positioning was too faulty. He was in a steady position to shoot, not one in which he could dodge easily from. He moved, but felt the claws rake across his chest and rip through his clothes. The archer barely managed to not scream out in pain.

He glanced downwards and saw the clawmarks on his chest. They were at least half an inch deep and had raked across his entire chest. Amos didn’t bother to try to keep the blood from revealing his position. He had bigger concerns. He reached into his quiver and grabbed a bundle of arrows. Holding on tightly to the arrows, Amos jumped and landed on the turnbuckle. He fired the arrow barrage upwards. They would be invisible and cause mass devastation in the ring. Don was his main target, but Dahlia and Geralf may get caught in it as well since they were all stuck in the little ring.

Dahlia had already known that the bomb would blow up on both of them, it's the whole reason she had tried to pin Geralf in the spot. Launching away from the spot as the bomb did most of it's job although she might fly a bit farther due to not being as heavy. She passed a bundle of arrows up in the air although she couldn't see them. She was sort of wavering on weather or not she was contentious but she recognized that she must be right over where don was so she did the only thing she could think of, "Got a finisher here for you! Set up a few of these just for this I don't think I'm gonna last much longer. Get Ready for a BOMB FESTIVAL" Dahlia pulled a remote out of her mask, and pointed it down, rapidly pressing the button as fast as she could.

The entire arena lit up as explosions went off in every conceivable area right around don, She couldn't tell where Amos was but she could hope he wasn't right next to the fishman. The area was lit up by pink flashes as each bomb went off obscuring the area completely. Dahlia landed down with a light thud on the other side of the arena fading out of consciousness.

"Blood." The feel was distinct, and the fishman had landed his blow. There was some remorse in actually drawing blood from the archer, but he trusted that he'd heal up. This was a serious fight, and Don trusted Amos to treat him the same way. Holding back in that attack would be an insult to the man who he called his crew-mate.

Having connected, Don wasn't going to let up. But there was no doubt in his mind that Amos would move away. Nobody would just stand there and let themselves get battered. But where would he go? "Blood..." The answer was staring him right in the face, the wounds on Amos visible against the empty space in front of the fishman.

"Up-" Don saw him leap back into the air, but that was where his visibility ended. BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG. Repeated flashes of light flooded his vision, a ringing sensation in his ears. The repeated impacts weren't great alone, but together caused him to stumble to the side. "Damn!" The sharkman roared, letting out a punch where he last saw Amos. His fist shot up into the air, air shaking as he did, but the action which was born from frustration bore no fruits.

"Gah!" The white flash in his eyes faded away, but that did nothing to aid him in avoiding the oncoming onslaught of arrows. The fishman's fist was the first to get hit, pain surprisingly shooting down his arm. The pain told him more about this attacks strength than words could, and Don reacted instantly. The iron shark spun around, facing down to the ground as he raised his arms above his head and bolted from his spot.

The archer's arrows normally wouldn't have fazed Don so, yet Amos had surprised him once more. It looked like these arrows really packed a punch compared to his others, penetrating the shark's iron defence. "Geralf!? Where are you?" he shouted, stumbling to the side and looking around at the arena. The arrows were scary, but more importantly, Dahlia was proving a real nuisance with her bombs.

Everything seemed incomprehensible as Geralf lie with his back on the mat, his sights were blurry and his hearing, inaudible. ‘What.. just happened?’ He vaguely remembered a bright flashing light then something hot hit him, after that, everything went black. The fishman turns to where the sound was the loudest, though still blurry, he could tell that it was Don as he spun around midair with his tail sticking out, and Amos was nowhere to be seen except for some blood dripping out of the space.

‘Get up! Geralf, get back up!’

Geralf struggled to get back on his feet, he turned around and planted his hand on the mat and pushed his knee down for support. Then suddenly a rain of something sharp pierced Geralf on his back, “Aaarrrggghhhh!” One, two, three.. Three objects pierced through Geralf’s back, and thanks to his tough shark skin, the arrows had only penetrated the outer layer of his skin but still, pain surged through the nerve endings into his brain. Geralf then falls back down on the mat.

Amos felt pain. Moving hurt. Firing his arrows hurt. Everything he did hurt. Why was that?

Amos looked down as the chaos unfurled in front of him. Air vibrated. Lights flashed. Yet, Amos was more concerned with what was on his chest. Blood. Lots of it. He hadn’t expected that wound to bleed this badly…did it hit some major spot? Amos wasn’t a doctor, so he didn’t know. He just knew this was worse than he thought it had been.

Shit.

Amos looked up in time to see Don stumbling to the side. The blood from some wounds on his arms told Amos that his blows had connected. Off to the side, Amos could see that Geralf had taken some arrows as well. Amos had lost sight of Dahlia in the confusion, but last he saw she had been in the air.
Amos felt lightheaded as he braced himself on the turnbuckle. He needed to move and fast, otherwise Don would find him. The massive amount of blood on his chest would give him away in a heartbeat if Don looked at him.

One.Two.Three….Ten. Ten kicks into the turnbuckle and Amos shot off. Even the bloody visible areas on him would appear as nothing more than a blur to anyone who saw him. The rest – of course – would be completely invisible. Amos stopped himself in front of a turnbuckle across the ring and turned to face Don.

As he turned, he stumbled and caught himself on the rope. Time to end this.

“Sorry, friend.” Amos said as he pulled out an arrow. He aimed directly at Don’s back and let loose.

As the arrow flew, the air around it would grow colder. The arrow itself would become encased in ice.

Techniques

Glacies Iaculat (28)
Type: Offensive
Range: Medium
Power:24
Stats: Debuff Speed -23
Description: Amos has advanced his archery to newfound heights. Previously, he had to target his opponent's ankle in order to slow them down. Now, however, he can harness the power of his spirit to help delay his enemies - no longer requiring him to aim specifically at the ankle, though that is still his favored location. When he fires the arrow, his spirit chills it to the point that the arrow freezes and inflicts ice damage upon contact. The freezing damage slows his enemy down and can even disorient them and knock them off balance. (-4, Medium Range. 14 Elemental Damage (Cold). 8 Disorient. Branched from Debilitatem Iaculat)

Don caught a brief glimpse of Geralf, the hammerhead laid out on the floor. It was harder to see Dahlia given her size, but he was fairly sure that he could see her in similar straits. Not bad. The doctor wasn't the best in a fight, but that wasn't his forte and Don didn't blame him. Don had been told glimpses of the doctor's plans, and once they came to fruition, Don could only imagine how fearsome he would be. But for now, those seeds were yet to bear fruit.

A brief sound drew his attention, Don shooting away from his position. Yet no attack went by. The shark breathed in heavily, stepping back hesitantly and looking around. He looked away from where he was just standing and instead at the archer's previous position, the arena's ropes bobbing up and down slightly. Where is he.... At this point, Amos could have been anywhere. It was unfortunate that Don couldn't detect him, but that was life. He didn't think the two would ever fight each other like this. If, and that's a very big if... If I can even sense this bastard, how am I ought'a defend myself..

The shark's thoughts immediately went to one thing, an ultimate defence of sorts. Yet, despite the combat advantage, the roaring crowd made him shake his head. "That's awful boring... I need something to.... entertain." His words dragged, mumbling to himself for an answer. What was flashy? A special move to wow the crowd? "Ah. That's it." The fishman grinned, stumbling out into the middle of the ring.

"Come on, come on.. the anticipation is killing me. Do something, and do it big. Do it for the crowd." Don could hear the beat of his own heart, every other noise tuning out as he focused. His gaze darted around, frantic in wait. Huh? Cold. A chilling cold. Now. He had no time to wait, fist slamming down onto the ring beneath. The ground below broke, cracking under his punch and depressing around his fist. Air pressure shot out in every direction around him. But even better than that, was the illusion which shot out from his back.

It was Don himself, a window into his spirit. But this reflection of him was savage, bestial and wild in nature. It roared out into the sky, Don himself roaring at the same time. The giant illusion masked his body, but the shark's roar was not fully of pride, but also of pain. Despite his attack, he was too slow. The arrow lodged itself in his left shoulder, a bi-product of crouching down to strike the ground. "Not bad!" Don roared, blood leaking from his shoulder as he didn't stop and immediately spun around to his feet.

His arms moved in a flowing motion as he spun, a chilling freeze emanating from them as well. "You ain't the only one who can do that!" Water condensed from the surrounding air, flowing around his arms in a freezing coat. This is it. His jaw clenched, ignoring the pain around his body. His movements were sluggish, but Don didn't even try to focus himself. All of his mind was put into pure brute power. His right foot slammed out forwards, right arm flying out in a punch towards where the arrow hit him. "THOUSAND TILE RAZING PUNCH!"

Shock-waves shot out from his punch's intense impact, air picking up and blasting out in a cone through half of that entire side. Thud. Don dropped to his knees, barely able to get breaths through. His body went limp, struggling to raise his arm and stop himself from falling over flat on his front. But the struggle did little, unable to get back onto his feet. The fishman rolled over onto his back, chest heaving up and down. "Guess that's it from me."

Amos ground his teeth as the arrow smashed into Don’s left shoulder. Something strange was happening. The ring was cracking, though luckily Amos was on the turnbuckle. Don spun.

Amos prepared for the worst. He didn’t have the energy in him to use Soru again. That was an exhausting movement technique. Sadly, Amos’ invisibility wouldn’t be helping him as he was drenched in blood, too.

Don punched. The air vibrated. Don fell. Amos took the blow directly in the chest. He flew out of the ring, landing hard on the outside’s concrete floor.

The archer struggled to his feet. So…much…pain. The hit was powerful, but Amos had never seen Don do anything like that before. He has gotten stronger.

Amos made it to his feet and leaned against the ring.

“AND THE WINNER IS…..AMOS LEROUX – THE PAIN-T TRAIN – and THE LITTLE FIRECRACKER, DAHLIA DETONATIOOOOOOON!!!”
