The Commander watched as the Lieutenant made his way into the house, stepping over scraps of the door. It really wasn't in a good place, and though the light wasn't brilliant it was fairly clear that there weren't any scorch marks or the such, meaning whatever broke down the door was using brute strength. The way it had broken, the way it had splintered... Someone had broken this down by hand? That didn't seem right. When someone broke a door down, sure it might splinter a little but it usually opened. To have been torn from one of the hinges suggested something fairy tall had struck it with a large amount of force... This just didn't seem right. Perhaps there was a really tall strong guy wandering about his island busting in doors. Scarlett's mind traced back to the large Quartermaster... It seemed unlikely, but not impossible. Stepping in moments after Chrys, Scarlett merely nodded in reply to him, listening out for any sort of movement. Sure, he probably didn't see her reply, but it didn't matter. Instead, she was too busy sweeping the room, her pistol moving quickly from one point to another until she was fairly confident that nobody was in here at the very least. As for the rest of the building, she couldn't tell as of yet, but this room was clear. The fact that everything in this room was trashed as if someone had barrelled in and destroyed everything in sight, most likely by hand too... They weren't even trying to act like this was some sort of theft, this was a quite obvious targeted attack. As Scarlett stepped slowly further into the room, her foot tapped against something metal, causing her to jump back slightly in surprise and let out a quick yelp. Upon looking down she clarified this wasn't anything dangerous, and in fact was a lantern, the type someone might use on nightly rounds or simply to light the room up. Crouching down the marine hefted the metal and reached into her bag, producing a lighter she'd been provided. It was weirdly high quality and unscathed compared to the other stuff she'd been provided, as if it'd been kept in good quality for a reason. A memento from the previous owner perhaps? Nevertheless, she lit it and slowly figured out her way towards the candle within, lighting it and allowing it to illuminate the room for the duo. |

Light shone in the room suddenly. Chrysoara hadn’t noticed the Commander make her way into the room – though he had heard the yelp and the tapping of the metal. He was fairly certain it was her – but it was good to be able to see that it was her for sure. Looking around, Chrysoara sighed. The place was an absolute disaster. He could tell that the entire house had the same layout as Mourner Pelson’s house. That meant that they could search the bottom level fairly easily – if it hadn’t been so thoroughly trashed. Everything was thrown about. Seats were broken into pieces, the wall had holes in it in places… what could have done this? More importantly; why would someone – or something – do this? It clearly wasn’t a robbery. Could it have been to hide evidence, then? Why wouldn’t they just take whatever it is they were worried about us finding…unless they couldn’t find whatever it was? “Wha-“ Chrysoara began before realizing his mistake. This house might not be empty – so he shouldn’t speak out loud just yet. It wouldn’t do to attract the attention of anyone in the house anymore than they already would have done. They needed to split up and search the house to make sure that it was completely clear. Besides, looking around the house with only one lantern wouldn’t work very well. Thus, Chrysoara began to scan the wreckage for any signs of another lantern. It was difficult since everything was laying on the floor and was ripped up but – eventually – Chrysoara spotted a long white candle laying on the floor. The Fishman walked over and picked it up – only to realize that the candle had been broken in the assault on the building. Instead of a long white candle, Chrysoara was left holding a stubby little candle that was clearly broken in half from blunt force. Well, it would work. Chrysoara made his way back to the Commander and held the candle out to her while whispering. “Think you can light this for me? Then we can start to make sure the house is completely clear of enemies.”[/color] |

This house was very similar to Decca's, which was of interest. That meant that most the houses on the island were made by the same design most presumably. Most of them were about the same size, so that was a complete possibility. Very interesting... The architects around here weren't exactly the most creative then, unless their whole thing was trying to fit in as many houses as possible, in which case they'd done fairly well. It was unlikely that they'd have a large number of professionals too, these were priests after all. Or, professionals in building anyway. They seemed professional in the whole... Smashing the ever loving shit out of buildings job. Demolition, that was it. The polar opposite. "Yeah, I gotcha" She replied, still a little shaky despite the warmth providing some comfort. Flicking the lighter once again, she brought it towards Chrys'... Candle stick, and held it there until the little stem bit caught aflame. She didn't know the name for it, and neither right now did she care. She was too busy scanning the room for potential death. Nothing too much to worry about in here, if you ignored the piles of crap on the floor which proved a dangerous trip hazard. Seriously, health and safety would have a meltdown in here. Ok... Comedy wasn't helping calm her down, though it was keeping her mind busy so perhaps it was to a lesser degree. "Don't suppose he was much of a partier?" She attempted, before shutting up again. She was scanning the room for evidence but her mind couldn't focus, especially if there was someone still in another room. Shining her lantern towards one of the doors, she nodded to Chrys, hoping he'd get the general message. Her gun was still ready, and she could fire if needs be. It was a miracle she didn't shoot something when she accidentally kicked the metal of the lantern to begin with. The candles and the lantern were interesting though, something to keep in mind when later looking at the full picture, or as full as you could get with a devastated house. |

Chrysoara watched as the wick on his candle lit up. It wasn’t much but it would give him freedom of movement once they cleared the house. Clearing a building. It was training any marine would go through. First through the door was most likely to die. While the Commander should volunteer for that position – Chrysoara understood why she didn’t. She was more valuable to this mission than he was, and she couldn’t risk her life for something as simple as clearing a house. No, this mission was becoming more and more important as time went on. Clearly there was some major cover up going on on this island. “If so, he makes me look positively sober – even after I drank however much liquor that I did.” Chrysoara said quietly to his Commander as he made it towards the door on the right of the main entranceway – as indicated by Commander Scarlett. This door was standing still – as if it hadn’t been touched. Chrysoara put his hand on the doorknob and began to turn it but paused. If he was going to lay in wait, then he would do so behind a closed door. The closed door would be his signal that someone was coming into the room. Chrysoara grinned – because he had a plan. A door opening wasn’t startling and was slow by nature. A door being smashed open was startling and surprising. It was also fast. Speed could mean the difference between life and death right now. Chrysoara placed his foot directly to the side of the knob and pulled back. He stomped. The door swung open with a crack as his foot left an imprint in the wood. It smashed into a wall on the other side and Chrysoara stormed into the room – scanning it for any sign of trouble as soon as he did so. There was nothing. Well, there was the same as there was in the last room – but not enemy. It was a kitchen and everything in it was wrecked, but there was nothing else important in the room except for a door that stood directly to Chrysoara’s left. The house had an upstairs – would this door lead to the stairwell? |

Chuckling a little in reply to Chrys, the duo stepped towards the door. It was unharmed interestingly, which to Scarlett indicated they hadn't been through here. Either that, or they had no need to actually break it down. They'd destroyed everything else though, so why stop here? They'd know soon enough. There was a brief pause as they stood by the door, almost as if listening for movement. There didn't appear to be any, though after the door was suddenly bashed down... Well. "That works" She spoke, her confidence returning a little bit. Something about being around a 6 foot muscular Fishman did provide her some confidence. Though, it also made Scarlett realise that she was very much not of use in this investigation. It was a little disheartening when she thought about it. If she hadn't have been attacked, sure they wouldn't have the information but they also wouldn't have a potential dead guy on the ship. Chrys could literally do this by himself... She needed to do better. Just, not right now. Right now was his time to shine. The duo burst into the room, Chrys moreso than Scarlett as they quickly used their lights to look around. Nothing particularly standing out, though everything in here was a tad beaten up. Suddenly a thought came to mind. What if this guy had something somebody was looking for? What could it be that they'd want from him though... Perhaps some form of identification? It was something to keep in mind she supposed. Looking over to her left, there was yet another door. Considering they hadn't seen many others it was most likely this was the way upstairs, which... Well, that'd be where he slept, and most likely where he kept everything. Once they'd cleared the place they could start inspecting all the evidence, but for now they had to keep going. Once again she nodded to her fellow marine. In a joking manner once again she spoke: "This place is a mess... Excuse my forwardness, but let's head to the bedroom" |

Despite the situation, Chrysoara found himself laughing at her comment. “Commander! I don’t believe it is proper” would say in between chuckles. Nevertheless, he opened the door leading upstairs. The stairs weren’t particularly steep, nor was the hallway any better lit than the rest of the house. If anything, it was somehow a little bit darker. Luckily, they had a candle - which was slowly dripping wax onto Chrysoara’s hand. Painful, that. Oh, and they had Commander Scarlett’s fancy lantern. That was a good source of light, too. Somehow, Chrysoara ended up being the one to lead the way up the stairs. She wasn’t just using him as a shield - was she? Wel, if so - maybe that was all he was good for in this investigation. Chrys could read people well, but he had no experience hunting for clues. What would they find in this place - and what could Chrys do to help find it? Chrysoara made his way up the stairs one step at a time. He tried to place his weight carefully so that the stairs wouldn’t freak - but the old stairs ignored his efforts and creaked with every step. Wonderful. Well, Chrys had kicked a door in already. If anyone was here, then they probably already knew that the marines were in the house. Once Chrysoara entered the room at the top of the stairs, he relaxed. There was no one here and no other doors...oh wait, there was one more. It stood between two bookshelves which were knocked over. The bookshelves were large and Chrysoara couldn’t help but marvel at the level of strength it must have taken to toss them haphazardly onto the floor like that. A surprisingly small number of books lay on the floor by the bookshelves - though Chrysoara didn’t pay that much attention. They were probably just buried under the bookshelves after-all. There was a bed and a desk in the room. The bed was tossed about, but not much damage was actually done to it. Whoever had caused this chaos was getting tired by this point, then? In contrast, Chrysoara made a mental note that someone had smashed the desk. It was split in two and the split seemed to originate from a single impact point on the top of the desk. Oddly, Chrysoara didn’t see any lantern or candles near the desk. Wouldn’t most writing desks have them? Agnew Respite used the items - why not in his bedroom? "I don't recall Satan rocks or being drunk on the job being particularly proper either. I'm sure we'll be just fine" She continued to joke, making sure it was clearly a joke though. Could... This be classed as flirting though? She pondered the thought for a while, before turning red a little. It probably could, and that wasn't her intention, not right now anyway. She couldn't even pass flirting off as a prank either, toying with people was one thing, but toying with their feelings was another. Chrys was a gentle giant, she wasn't about to hurt him. Still, it seemed their banter was helping keep spirits high, and soon the two were progressing up the noisy stairs. Well, he certainly was no carpenter else he'd have done something about that, probably... The upstairs was also a mess, making Scarlett think this was less likely a humans actions and more likely that of a tornado or something. Though she didn't know of many tornadoes that would split a desk in two. Then again, she hadn't heard of many tornadoes to begin with. Once again scanning the room and aiming her gun at every dark spot she could find, it soon became apparent that there were no evil priests in here. Another door lay ahead though. A side room perhaps? Or most likely a bathroom unless there was one downstairs. The door was shut, just like the others had been. That was also certainly of note. Who smashed a front door, yet shut the others? "Guess whoever did this wasn't a fan of literature" She commented, using the lantern to illuminate anything of interest, before finally once again falling on the door. Could there be someone behind it? Possibly... There was only one way to find out. Training her gun on it, she nodded once again for Chrys to move out. Scarlett couldn't help but be reminded of the tale of the three bears and Goldilocks. Hopefully they wouldn't have to actually... Eat their Goldilocks though, just capture her and question her is all. She took a deep breath, and got ready for the next room. |

Chrysoara thought about her banter about them being improper before…did the Commander actually want to do…things? Was she trying to flirt with him? Chrysoara didn’t reply – preferring to just let that comment sit. He would try to deal with that later – though he couldn’t help but think of the prospect positively. His nearly translucent face turned slightly red as he thought about romance the Commander. She was quite cute, after-all. The mission! Chrysoara nodded to the Commander as she mentioned the person not being a fan of literature. He moved forward to he next door and prepared to open this one up. He wasn’t as tense as before and didn’t think anyone would actually be inside this room, so he didn’t kick it open. Chrysoara semi-calmly opened the door and revealed…. a barely ransacked bathroom. In fact, it looked like someone had just swept their arm across the counter and knocked some hygiene items onto the ground. “That was…anticlimactic.” Chrysoara commented – heedless of the other ways that the word anticlimactic could be used in combination with their previous joking about going to the bedroom. As Chrysoara stood there, his mind kept going back to the comment that Commander Scarlett had made. Whoever had done this wasn’t a fan of literature? Why did that comment stick in his head? “Well, the house is clear. Should we call Decca in now or try to search through this wreckage before letting her in? I think I trust her and she may be helpful in navigating the house.” Chrysoara said, trying to be optimistic. She could be helpful but she could also be problematic. “I just don’t know enough about their religion. With this much destruction, she will probably assume him to be dead. Would it be offensive to look through a dead person’s stuff? If so, it may be best to keep Decca out of the building while we search, I guess?” |

Well, there was the bathroom, with various sanitary equipment having been knocked to the ground. Interestingly, nobody had decided to split anything in half in here, unlike the desk. Intriguing perhaps. Maybe he'd just had a really rabid dog which after going missing hadn't been fed for a while. She didn't feel like renaming this case into the Hounds of Chryserville however so she decided to cross that possibility off the list. Speaking of the Fishman, he currently had made a very correct observation. "I'm kind of glad though, I don't want to have to deal with some drunk and disorderly teens or something like that. Wait, how old did you say you were again?" She chuckled, before letting out a heavy sigh of relief. The question still remained if they called Decca in or not? Her knowledge would indeed prove fairly useful, but maybe they should complete an initial search before inviting her in. A brief scan of the bathroom proved to be fairly fruitless, if you excluded the weirdly fruity bubblebath this guy had. Damn, she hadn't had a bath in forever, she really wanted one now. Showers were great and all, but baths... No, stay on topic. "Hey Chrys, mind giving me a hand with one of these bookshelves? I wanna see how good his taste in literature is, and hey we might even find an inappropriate novel in the mix" She wondered what sort of weird questionable material a Priest of people would read. That said inappropriate to her was very different to a religious individual. They probably had a mild panic when they saw her bare arms. Maybe she was just being a little extreme here, she hadn't had much of an experience with religion. Well, at least it wasn't Bright Eyes. She didn't want to have to deal with all that nonsense. Kneeling down by the bookshelf, she placed the lantern besides her and holstered her gun, and then worked to get her fingers under the shelf, managing to make it budge enough to do so. Slowly she began to move it, though still needed a little bit of help. |

“Uhh…..nevermind that.” Chrys said with another slight chuckle. Commander Scarlett went off to pick up one of the bookshelves -pointedly ignoring his question about whether they should call Decca in. That was irksome, but not overly so. She was his superior; he had no right to request answers from her if she didn’t want to tell him. She would give him orders – in her own way – when it was time for him to get Decca. That would have to be enough for him. “Sure.” Chrysoara said as he walked over to where Commander Scarlett was. He almost leaned down to help pick up the bookshelf, but then he remembered that he still held a flaming candle in his hand. Briefly, Chrysoara looked around for a place to set the candle safely but saw none. So, Chrysoara blew the candle out with a sigh and set the now harmless candle on the ground beside the lantern before reaching to help pick up the bookshelf. It was easier for Chrysoara to slide his hands underneath it than it had been for his commander since she had already lifted the bookshelf slightly. Chrysoara’s fingers – which were relatively fat in comparison to Commander Scarlett’s – would probably not have fit underneath it with the bookshelf lying flat on the ground. Then, he heaved. It was a heavy bookshelf which implied something about its sturdiness. Perhaps that was why it had lived through the onslaught that took place in this house? Chrysoara had noticed a few strange things in here but he couldn’t make much sense of them. “Commander, now that it’s safe to talk in here, I’ve noticed a few things that are weird – but I don’t know what they mean. I’m interested in how many books are underneath this thing.” Chrysoara said as he lifted the bookcase high enough so that he could shift his position to drive it straight upwards. Sweat dripped down his brow as he worked. He didn’t look down at the number of books yet. He couldn’t yet. “Also, there is no light source in this room. Wouldn’t he have had some kind of candle up here? Finally, why was the bed and bathroom barely messed up? Everything else was thrashed but those areas feel almost…lazily done. It’s like the perpetrator was tired.” With one final heave, Chrysoara pushed the bookshelf up with Commander Scarlett’s help. Putting a hand out just in case it wasn’t steady, Chrysoara glanced downwards. There weren’t that many books underneath it. “This man had two large bookshelves but only enough books to half- fill them? That’s weird.” |

The bookshelf eventually rose, though the fact it required both of them to manage it... Someone fairly strong had been through here, though she supposed she already knew that considering the mess made. Though, it was easier to push things over than pick them up, which was fairly deep when she thought about it. No, she wasn't about to get all edgy. Chrys began to speak of his observations, ones she'd been struggling to make due to her panic. Now she was calming down though, she could admit they'd been right there and of interest... The further into the house they went the less chaos that seemed to occur, ignoring the bookshelves and the desk. So were they of importance then? "Intriguing..." By the time they had the bookshelf up, it was clear that there weren't many books here at all, despite the large amount of space. It seemed unlikely he was too bothered by symmetry, but it was something to take into account. Exhaling heavily once she was sure the bookshelf was sturdy, she knelt down and held the lantern to some of the books. They were just generic religious books, surprisingly one or two more out there adventure books, most likely with good morals behind them. She frowned, yes it seemed the most strength had been exerted around places of writing and literature. The only books she'd seen of note on the island were the ones in their underground area. If he was part of their group, that implied he'd have that sort of stuff lying around. As the cogs turned, Scarlett paled a little. "Chrys, that threat earlier... I don't think it was a threat. I'm fairly certain all ties to the New Age Priests have been removed from here, and if that's the case then surely that'd be because he'd been removed from the situation" She groaned, taking a moment to take things through. That pretty much confirmed that they were indeed willing to kill those that might leak secrets. Clever, but brutal. Looking a little closer at the books, it became apparent he did have information on a variety of subjects, including horticulture, medicine and even a little into geographical mumbo jumbo. Yet, there was nothing on anything advanced, such as technology. Whilst that didn't confirm anything, it certainly hinted... Holding her fingers to her temples she inhaled deeply to try and figure something out. Wait... That wasn't the smell of burning candle anymore, that was something richer, something metallic almost. No, she recognised it; it was the smell of blood. "I can smell blood, but yet I haven't seen any. There'd need to be a fair amount to be noticeable, very peculiar. Whoever charged through here was covered in blood then? That really doesn't bode well" So, they had a dead body, a ransacked house and a lack of evidence on their hands. Or perhaps that lack of evidence was working in their favour. They knew the New Age Priests were censoring, they were doing their best to stay hidden. Their willingness to kill, and how brutal they'd been to the house, surely that meant they were getting desperate. The only issue was, the next step would logically be to get rid of those with knowledge that shouldn't have it, through any means necessary. Yet, there movements hadn't been direct so far, except for the one attack on her... What did that mean? Perhaps the priests hadn't expected such a fight from the duo? "I have a feeling something is coming, something that's going to throw a wrench in our plans completely... Wait, wrench... I've got it. If we show the world that they exist before they can do anything... We should keep looking around here, but with Decca like you suggested, then... I hate to say it, but I think she needs to see that passageway..." |

“If it wasn’t a threat and they already did this…” Chrys groaned audibly. They had made a huge mistake in their investigation when they decided to come here before going back to the ship. “He’s dead, isn’t he? We got him killed.” What did that mean for Chrys? The man had attacked a Marine Commander. He deserved to be punished – but did he deserve to be killed? Chrys couldn’t say that he thought that was a good thing. They should have been able to do something more! Chrys slapped himself in the face. Not across the cheek, but directly on the face. “We should have called in support to keep an eye on the prisoner or split up so that one of us stayed with him. Our mistake cost us a valuable resource and denied him justice.” Chrys looked up as Scarlett mentioned blood. He could smell something, but couldn’t identify the source of the smell or what it was. Of course, Chrys had never been around so much blood that he would easily recognize the smell. “He was either covered in it or killed someone here. Could this mess have been done to hide the spot as well as to cover up the removal of all the technology?” Chrys thought out loud. It certainly made sense that there was no light up here if the New Age Priests removed everything relating to technology. He probably had some technological light source for his bedroom. Why the candle and lantern in the front part of the house, though? Were those there so that he could keep the technology hidden from neighbors who came over? Was there something more to that? “So, we need to move fast. Try to see if they left anything behind here and…show it to the other priests?“ Chrysoara asked as he grabbed his candle again and held it out for Scarlett to light it once again. He stood up as he did so, dusting himself off slightly. “I’ll get Decca once you give me a light. We need to decide how much to tell her, though it sounds like you want to pull her in completely?” |

"I believe so..." She sighed, thinking about what this meant. Did they have blood on their hands? In some ways, no they didn't. But in other ways, perhaps they did. Well, in the end they'd taken a hostage, it wasn't down to them what their enemies did and they couldn't have predicted such an extreme reaction. The thought of anyone dying was something which weighed heavy on her soul, but if it meant saving many more lives... Still, they didn't 100% know that he was dead, and at least it wasn't an innocent she supposed. Turning towards Chrys she sighed slightly: "It's horrid, but we're doing this to save lives. Once this is over we can find the body if he really is dead, and provide him a proper burial. For now, we've got to continue onwards I guess" Why did she have to deal with all this? She hated the idea of killing, and sure she used a gun and all but she knew where not to shoot usually. She had to continue to think about their mission and where to go from here. It seemed somewhat unlikely to Scarlett that somebody had died here, especially considering Decca had mentioned him being alone, or something to that degree. Very interesting. As Chrys held out his candle, once again she grabbed a hold of the lighter and flicked the spinny bit, causing a flame to come forth and light his stick thing. Technical words weren't her forte. "Merde, I don't know... What to do, what to do. Uhhh, what about... Alright, yeah, we'll get Decca in on this and gauge her reactions, and then we'll go and... Gather some priests and drag them underground. Anyone that objects is someone we've got to keep an eye on. That's fairly simple, right? I'll come with you, we'll get Decca and give this a onceover, see if her experience and knowledge of the place can find something we can't. Then we'll head back. I'm exhausted but we've got to keep going if we're going to keep on top of this case..." It had been a long day, and she'd love nothing more than to fill her belly with food and then go to sleep. Yet if she tried to do that, there was no doubt by the time she'd woken up something would have gone horribly wrong. Another competent marine or two could have been useful here, but they had this. It'd all work out. Stretching her legs slightly, Scarlett moved towards the door, giving the room a quick intrigued look. Was she missing something? |

Chrysoara listened to his Commander’s plan. She was right that they needed to let the world know about the organization. That would make it harder for them to move – which is something that they wanted. But did they want to bring a bunch of priests underground with them? Chrysoara didn’t think that was a good idea. That was the headquarters of those people. It was the place where Commander Scarlett had been attacked, which meant it was somewhere Agnew Respite had felt comfortable. If they took a bunch of priests underground, they would just be opening themselves up to being attacked down there… right? What they needed was to bring a piece of definitive proof out of the basement and give it to the priests. Once the proof was out, there would be no stopping it. It would be easier to eliminate a bunch of priests who went into a top secret area. They would probably not make it out alive – or, if they did – it would take a fight on the part of Chrysoara and Commander Scarlett. Chrysoara Fusce did not say any of this to his Commander. Perhaps he should have, but he didn’t. How could one contradict their Commander’s plan? She knew better than he did and so Chrysoara would have to trust in her planning and judgement – even if it went against his own. “Let’s do this then, Commander.” Chrysoara said softly as he looked around the room. Should they both go and stick together? They already had said that this place was clear of enemies…if they were really on a time crunch, shouldn’t they split up to search? “Actually, Commander. Would you mind if I stayed here and looked around a little more? I can see if we are missing anything here while you go get Decca and explore the rest of the house. It should move faster if we split up and we have already agreed that this place was safe for the time being – right?” Chrysoara dared. He couldn’t contradict her entire plan, but a small suggestion. Yes. He could make a small suggestion. |

Chrys seemed to pause, as if something was on his mind. What that something might be Scarlett wasn't sure, but considering he had sobered up a little it probably wasn't Decca right now. Or perhaps it was. She couldn't read people very well, she looked for more indirect scans, such as how people wore certain clothing, or perhaps hairs on their clothing which signified contact with a type of animal. It was a shame she didn't have much knowledge on animals, else she'd have been pretty good at finding information on people. That was off topic though, there currently was nothing on anyone right now because nobody was here, and she wasn't seeing anything of note on the carpet. "Yeah sure go for it, I'll go grab Decca then. If anything jumps out at you, let me know" With that, she hefted her lantern and cautiously made her way down the stairs. Once she arrived in the kitchen, she spent a moment to look around having not had much of a chance earlier. There certainly wasn't as much damage here, but it was present. Most the cupboards had been opened and the contents thrown on the floor, though damage to the house itself here was limited. That'd support her hypothesis on this being about collecting any evidence and removing him from the equation when it came to evidence. In fact, it was currently only what they'd heard from him as proof, which was concerning. Though, she had it all in her head somewhere. Now they had a lead, no matter what happened they'd figure this out. Exiting into the living room, there was again a lack of structural damage, excluding a rather beaten up coffee table and the main table in the centre itself. The scent of blood was fainter here, however as she stepped closer to the front door it seemed to pick up again. How... Odd. Did whoever did this injure themselves when exerting their strength? It was possible she supposed. Looking out towards the confused looking Decca, Scarlett lifted her lamp a little bit, exposing her own pale and slightly tired looking face. She began to speak, standing to one side of the door as to allow the Priestess in if she wished. "It's not looking too great in here, but I was wondering if you could join me in a once over of the place, see if you can spot anything out of the ordinary. That is, if you're feeling up for it" |
