Jeremiah landed into the pink haired girl with the grace of a collapsing building, but the genius wasn't versed in flying believe it or not, despite his many claimed traits under his belt. To his delight, he'd see the blade slice open the girl like a zipped jacket, albeit a small amount. He licked his lips; finally, some blood. He took great satisfaction in carving her flesh before removing the blade, watching her expressions of pain and anguish. Suddenly, he would get occasional spikes of pain himself, throbbing from his wounded eye. The rivers of blood that oozed from the socket began to slow, clearly starting tom heal or at least scab over. He hated that his perfect self-image had been ruined, despite that very thought contradicting his plans to become more and more machine. Deep breaths and exhaling would leave his body, he was far too low in stamina reserves, but the drugs worked their charm... whatever they were.

"Gah- Heheheh, don't die on me now~! We're just about to have some fu-"

He would have no chance to finish his words before the woman raised a weapon to the Genius... complete heresy, in a church of all places. Her movement was sluggish, due to the wound being near her arm muscles. Thankfully, his was around his face and his arms were metal. Whilst standing over the girl, he strafed his body to the left to avoid severe damage upon his center mass, yet the bullet struck against the metallic surface of his bicep. It was nothing, but the impact left a pulsating feeling of pain similar to a bruise. He jolted back, creating distance between them. He could easily see she was versed in marksmanship, but who was better? Jeremiah, obviously. Maybe she had him out matched with skill, but she was a marine and the Genius was in a position to play dirty. Still facing his stab victim, he would plunge his grappling hands backwards, grabbing any poor sod that was behind him and using the grab-e as a ramming shield: hoisted in front of him now, he would strike through the body so that his knife would surface on the other side. From there, he would charge towards the female marine, spouting words of anger:

"DON'T YOU DARE INTERRUPT ME, BITCH! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!"

Chrysoara continued his charge towards the skinny man holding Decca Pelson – completely unaware of any happenings with Jeremiah and Commander Scarlett. Any noises those two were making were drowned out in the cacophony of battle. Decca Pelson struggled valiantly, but it was clear she was injured somewhere. Blood trailed down her leg and she kept trying to shift weight to it to do…something but the injury was causing her problems.

Each step caused Chrysoara’s leg to burn. Fire coursed through the veins of his leg as he stepped toward the smug cyborg who held onto his captive. Perhaps the last captive in the room?

The man pointed a finger at Chrysoara. The Fishman didn’t care. He wasn’t particularly fast before his injury but he pushed through it. He had to reach the man. He just had to.

Boom.

The bullet flew inches next to Chrysoara’s skull. The man had missed, thankfully. The fishman looked intently at his opponent and saw – much to his surprise – that the cyborg’s finger had popped upwards and revealed a pistol of some kind. It seemed he wasn’t the greatest shot, but still. That was an impressive ability. The cyborg smiled and held the gun up to Decca Pelson’s head.

“One more step, and the girl gets it.” The cyborg said smugly as he began to back up. Chrysoara began to think, but he wanted to scream. He couldn’t fail in this! He had to save her, especially since they had brought Decca here! The man was clearly backing toward an exit. Planning to escape without his comrades?

Chrysoara took a step forward. The man’s hand tightened, though no bullet flew. “Watch it!”

Shit. Chrysoara couldn’t get there in time. He had to do something…extreme. Something risky. He had never accomplished this before but…one technique kept coming to his mind. It was a fishman karate technique that he had seen and been told how to do. He had just never made it work.

“Yabusame!” Chrysoara yelled as he swung his hand in the air, collecting water from the moisture in the air. He flung the water at his opponent. The water droplet flew forward with surprising speed and smashed into the man’s skull. It didn’t pierce like a bullet – as a true Yabusame would – but it did the job. The man’s skull seemed to indent as he fell over backwards, some blood rolling down his head.

Techniques
Yabusame (16*)
Type: Offense
Range: Medium
Power:12
Description: Chrysoara collects water on his finger and throws the droplet at his opponent. (Shockwave 10, Medium Range -8).

Scarlett's first attack struck, and not only that but it seemed to interrupt the man slightly. He paused, as if it had caused some sort of pain... This was an opportunity, however she couldn't make any use of it without her guns. Raising her sabre, she did her best to watch the madman's actions, being once again surprised by his cybernetics, and his violence as he grabbed one of his own men and used the poor individual as a meatshield. No sooner did he start charging, a blade protruded from the individuals chest and the green haired man started shouting, causing her to pause for a moment, fear once again building up. As she watched the angry leader charging her, her body froze up. It wanted to run, but she just couldn't... She couldn't move she...

"YOU'RE A PIRATE!"

She suddenly screamed out at him, as he grew closer. Yet still her body refused to move, panic already having overwhelmed any form of rational thinking. The weapon in her hand, it was longer than his dagger... If she wished to stab through the man she could, however there was no way she was about to defile a body, even if they opposed each other. But for their leader to be willing to kill his own to escape, surely that would mean he was getting desperate? Her analytical mind was finally kicking back in it seemed. His arms were clearly cybernetic, but there wasn't much else about him made of metal... Why would you augment your body with metal to begin with? These priests were smart... They'd do it to eliminate weakness, meaning either he lacked arms to begin with or he was physically weak. Considering how adeptly he moved like this, she figured it'd surely be the second one.

"So I will stop you..."

She spoke, in a softer tone now, a shaky one at that. Her injury meant she couldn't use both arms without pain, and she knew she wouldn't be able to overpower her fear of pain, meaning she only had one hand she could use... And she wasn't all too physically strong either, however when she looked at how he moved, it was unnatural... They all looked so ill yet continued so easi- That's why! It must have been! Their movements weren't natural because they weren't functioning naturally to begin with. Perhaps some form of medicine? Or maybe something else? She wasn't sure, but she doubted it'd last forever, and to already be moving with the pace he did... This man would be draining his energy quickly. She could... She could stop him!

As he crew near, she threw out her good hand, leaning forwards so that her gut wasn't near the blade, and at last moment, shoved with all her might to one side. If he was charging, her ability to push directly back would be challenged, so instead she used his movements to her advantage and pushed him away to one side, following it up with a swing from her sabre at his torso.

Mid-charge, the foolish girl would spout the obvious of Jeremiah's chosen lifestyle. Was there any doubt at this point? If he wasn't a pirate before, he definitely was now. But regardless; the question was rhetorical. He was the great genius after all. It didn't matter when he would make it to fame, just that he will and people should fear him before it's too late, whilst they could still stop him rising to power. He'd be slightly amused at the thought of him inevitably having these two marines grovel had his throne before butchering them in front of their loved ones.

A fleeting though, has the commander would chime in with a tactical counter to the Genius' offensive. She has opted for a sidestep and push, shaking his position's integrity and moving him to the side. The human shield fell lifeless onto the pews, his body sliding and flipping between them like a fish out of water. With his arm free, he'd slash backwards only to find himself lucky enough to parry the following combo attack from the pink-haired girl. Clashing, the two metal weapons would ring out it's metallic twang for a brief moment. Due to the impact, he stumbled back onto the floor if only to quickly assume a couching stance. He readjusted his composure, tightening the grip upon his knife. From below, he looked up at the woman who stood over him. It was unsightly of him, even so that his anger would become unbearable. He would shoot her the stank eye out of frustration.

"You'll stop me...? You're not fighting me! You're fighting time! The longer we dance, the less the crowd. You two are just here to enterta-"

Interrupted once again. Quickly, a mass of metal would slide it's way around Jeremiah's waist, gripping onto him and raising him off the ground. Who was it? One of his subordinates. Turns out killing your pawns doesn't work out as well if most of them are friends. The hulking mass of a man began to slam Jeremiah onto the floor repeatedly in anger.

Chrysoara dashed over to where Decca Pelson stood breathless. She gasped and muttered something that Chrysoara assumes was a tha k you. The fishman wasn’t sure as he was too caught up in what just happened.

He performed a Yabusame. That was the first time in his life he had managed to throw water that managed to damage someone. Chrysoara leaned over the body of the man he hit and...he wasn’t breathing. It had killed him?! Was Yabusame that powerful? He didn’t think it was but he did hit the man in the forehead…

Chrysoara turned around as he quickly realized that the battle wasn’t over. The crowd had pushed itself against the walls on either side of them - seemingly to get out of the way of the battle that was taking place on the other side of the cactihedral. The fishman watched as a large hulking metal armed person grabbed Grass-Hair by the hand and began to slam him. While the fishman held no love for the terrorist, he didn’t want the man to die. Though, the question of why the man was being attacked by his own men was worth asking.

Furthermore, why did they back up to the sides? Was there a coup in the middle of the fight with the marines...wait! Did that mean that this other side wanted to give up and submit themselves to them?

Chrysoara began to walk forward and - as he got close enough - reached down and grabbed his pair of iron handcuffs. He tossed them to Commander Scarlett and began to talk at the same time.

“That’s enough! Give grass hair to us and submit yourselves for questioning. We will not prosecute you for your actions here if you talk to us about your experiences. The exception to that being grass hair, himself.” Chrysoara hoped he wasn’t being too presumptuous as the junior officer - but he was an officer.

It appeared their leader was quicker and more wary than Scarlett had given him credit before, as he managed to catch her sword with his own blade. However she had been correct about something, as he stumbled back into a sort of crouching position from the impact. His strength either lacked, or was ebbing. Whichever it was, it didn't make much difference. She remained there for a moment as he began to spout something about fighting time, whilst it looked like he might have actually soiled himself with that facial expression. Thankfully, he didn't get to that part of his exposition as suddenly a large amount of metal wrapped around his torso, as he suddenly jolted backwards to the proceeded to be slammed into the floor of the Cactithedral over and over. The young marine couldn't help but wince at the sight.

As that occurred, the rest of the individuals in the room began to back up, even shoving the remaining few hostages forwards and away from their grasp. They were giving up? Or, perhaps they were simply giving up on their traitorous leader. Whichever it was, Chrys took advantage of it quickly, speaking them down with impressive confidence considering the situation. He also threw Scarlett a pair of handcuffs, which she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at, before wandering over to the green haired man who was increasingly resembling mushy peas as time went on. She held her hand up towards the large man to encourage him to stop.

"Justice will be done, don't worry. And, thank you for the help"

She spoke, her voice hoarse. Her body was still shaking after all, her head swimming, tears streaming and blood gushing. No matter what way she looked at it, she was a bloody mess. She still had a job to do, and so as best she could do with her working arm, she attempted to handcuff the criminal assuming he was given a moment of solace from his consecutive embraces with the floor. She also made note to kick away any weapons from nearby to him. And with that... They'd captured a dangerous pirate, so of course that was when her body allowed all the pain to flow back in. Grunting in agony, she stumbled back, only just keeping her footing and nodding towards Chrys to take the green haired man away. And then, she proceeded to collapse.

Chrys was left in an utterly shitty situation. Grass-Hair was handcuffed and the beatings had stopped - though he appeared to be either unconscious or faking it so that he could get the upper hand on them. The entire room was stressed and anxious, and then - of course - Commander Scarlett collapsed.

Well, the fishman decided that he would have to make the most of what he did have. What he had was a group of people who just wanted help and were led astray by a murderous pirate.

“We will begin taking your stories when we make it back to my ship, the Medusazoa. From there, we will arrange transport for all of you to go to a nearby island and decide your fates from there.” Chrysoara began to speak, though only one of the cyborgs in the room would meet his eye as he spoke. The large man who had ruthlessly beaten Grass-Hair gave Chrysoara a small and encouraging nod.

“I’m with you, Fish-Marine. We all are. This...thing took charge of us during a moment of weakness. We aren’t all bad people. He convinced us that you were dangerous and not to be trusted. He fed our anger and hatred and.. I’ll tell you what Fish-Maribe, I’m still bloody pissed. I’m pissed but I’m not stupid. I know a lost cause when I see one. We weren’t getting out of this without being dead or in jail if he kept giving orders.” With that, the large man began to bark an order to pick Grass Hair and Commander Scarlett up and that they would all follow Chrysoara back to his ship. At first, Chrysoara wasn’t sure if the group would obey their new impromptu leader. Luckily, only a moment passed before four people rushed forward to grab the unconscious duo.

Chrysoara led them back to the ship, tied the already handcuffed Grass-Hair up, and lay Commander Scarlett down on Chrysoara’s couch before calling in for backup.

“Yes, Ma’am. Thirty three passengers and one prisoner, yes. Thank you, Ma’am” Chrysoara said hanging up the Den Den Mushi. The transport ship would be here in about two hours.

So, Chrysoara pulled out Commander Scarlett’s notebook - which had miraculously escaped damage - and sat down. The line in front of him would take a little bit of time to get through their stories. Hopefully the commander and/or Grass Hair woke up soon.

"Ow"

Scarlett awoke, pretty much instantly complaining about her discomfort. This of course was reasonable, considering the fact that she'd been beaten, bruised and cut open, was actually still leaking blood, hadn't eaten for nearly a whole day, and hadn't rested in that time either. Despite this, miraculously she managed to wake up, staring at the roof of a familiar ship, with various gross smells surrounding her. Her mind was hazy, but she still could tell that the smell was coming from both Chrys' old puke from when he'd been drunk earlier, and the blood of the murdered guy. Wonderful... She woke up after nearly dying and she was instantly back in the mind set of work.

"Owwww"

She continued to complain, as her chest continued to sting. She could feel warmth drippling down her chest a little bit... She actually was still bleeding. She supposed her waking up had disturbed the healing process but... She really needed to get this seen to. Groaning again, she attempted movement, only to instantly regret it when it occurred to her that any movements would provoke pain. She needed... Pain killers, a doctor and some food. None of which she had a feeling they had with them, excluding perhaps the last one. She didn't feel like being fed a carrot through a straw by a jellyfish though. Then again, he was a nice jellyfish...

"Owwwwwwwwwwww"

She decided this was about the best that she could do right now, lay here and complain until something was done about this. Her ability to formulate words was severely hindered considering the haziness was her mind, and yet her body had quickly figured out what it wanted. It wanted a few other things right now like a whole lot of comfort, and probably a distraction like a good book. And a nap, but that could prove deadly so she decided to continue to complain. Thankfully, out the corner of her eye she could see the magnificent jellyfish that had probably brought her back here. She wondered if perhaps he could go fetch her one of the doctors outside, surely one of the people in that group which could be heard milling around would be useful in this situation. And hey, maybe he could fetch her some food from one of the barrels, and some... Well, they didn't have traditional pain killers but they'd already proven they knew of one certain liquid which helped: Alcohol.

"Fucking... Ow..."

“Okay, and do you mind telling me what happened after you were captured?” Chrysoara asked for the fifteenth time. None of them were being very helpful as they kept telling the same story. They arrived at the island looking to begin some adventure or other - that pet actually changed - and were kidnapped near the beach. Chrysoara could only assume the kidnapping occurred there due to the relatively low number of people there to see what happened. Then, they woke up underground where they underwent cruel and painful experiments. While they could glean some good information from what they’ve said...Chrysoara was hoping for a bit more. Names or something like that. Sadly, none of them seemed able to help in that regard.

“Huh uh, what then?” Chrysoara asked as he scribbled down what the tiny man in front of him said. There really wasn’t anything new in it.

Chrysoara thought he could hear someone groaning. The fishman immediately began to focus on that noise instead. Yes, that’s groaning.

“Excuse me, I need to check on Commander Scarlett.” Chrysoara said as he held out a finger. The fishman pushed the table away from him and stood up with a stretch and a yawn.

He made his way to the couch behind him - upon which a bloody and groaning Commander Scarlett lay.

“I wish I could with your wounds, Commander, but I don’t know any first aid.” Chrysoara said sadly as he looked at her. It was good she had awoken, though. Part of Chrysoara has wondered if she would ever wake up.

“I don’t mean to interrupt, but I used to be a doctor” the skinny man said with a grin. “Of course, I’ve been held captive for a few years and haven’t been able to practice socmt skills might be a bit rusty:..” the skinny man walked forward to stand beside Commander Scarlett with Chrysoara.

“May I look at your injuries?”

Scarlett focused intently on Chrys as he approached, explaining he knew too little about first aid to help. She couldn't blame him she supposed, but in the pain she was in she sure as hell wanted to. She groaned in pain again, her mind still a little fuzzy. That was a good thing, it meant she wouldn't feel the full pain. But, she also hated the fact that this pain would get worse, and the fact that she had a huge injury on her chest again... She didn't dare try to get a look at it. She really was stuck for what to do though. Naturally her body wouldn't heal this, but if they couldn't find help...

As if on cue, one of the escapees offered help, asking Scarlett if it would be ok if he were to take a look at her injuries. With a brief grunt, she managed to nod her head at him. She made sure to try and block out whatever he said and did however, she didn't want to know... But she needed something else... If he were to try patch her up it was going to hurt more than she could stand. Turning her head towards Chrys a tad, she grumbled:

"Food, drink... Please. Alcohol, will help the pain"

She opted to avoid mentioning the fact that she hadn't had much alcohol in her time, or the fact that technically she shouldn't have been drinking it in the first place. It was the marine's fault for allowing her into the position she was at the age she was. It didn't matter anyway, she needed pain relief and she doubted Chrys would refuse her it, even if it was on an empty stomach. That just made it even more effective, and hopefully she'd either black out or just not remember the pain she experienced. She noted that the man looking over her injury was saying some things, but her active avoidance of what he was saying seemed to be working, and she thankfully didn't have a clue what he was on about. Turning her head a little bit more, she noticed the unconscious form of the green haired leader there, his hands bound... He was the cause of her pain. She didn't like him.
