Character: Rio Request: I want to entirely replace my old techniques (save for the base DF techniques) with new ones, because they're just kind of dysfunctional and a lot of them are outdated from old systems. I also want to see if these techniques are okay and what kind of changes I need to make to them, if any. (Made the techs with the OPRP app builder, that saved me a whole load of trouble.) Also want to update my traits, now that I have 200+ SD. Changes:

| Description: Rio can release thick, black soot from his mouth, full of glowing red embers. It is thick enough to act as a smokescreen or potentially even choke enemies. He can also generate and control ash from his body. The ashes are weightless and thin, but can potentially be lumped together into solid objects, or mummify opponents (although their noses and mouths will remain uncovered due to moisture.) Objects made from ashes, no matter how strong, will dissolve immediately in the presence of water.

[Flavor] Rio's anger causes his spirit to manifest as a demonic entity, temporarily making him look taller and sprouting horns from his head, his entire body seeming to be covered in burning embers [Spirit Generated Illusion]. Specific Devil Fruit (4 General Traits) - The player may choose a specific Devil Fruit, either canon or custom, for their character. These fruits are limited based on moderator discretion but can be of any of the three types.
Fate of the Whimsical (1 General Trait) - By placing traits in Fated, you lock them until the next time you earn a trait. You may put as many traits as you have into fated. If you're swapping traits around, like taking a professional from Sonic Speed, then this should really be part of a scoop rather than simple cmisc update
Likewise your old techs, as listed here, aren't so old and outdated that they aren't functional, at least as far as I can see, at least not enough to really warrant a free wipe of them

Not sure if I'm up for a revision scoop though, and if I'm not, it'd be kind of dumb if I have to wait an artificial amount of time on top of grading just to get some techs swapped out and add some traits.

I'll take the updates to a revision scoop since I think I'm up for one, but I'd like to use this thread instead to get some ground rules on the Chimney Chimney fruit. A couple of questions to start things off with:
As per Tricky Fighter, can I use Chimney strictly for Debuffing opponents with the ashes and the thick soot?
As per Blade of Embers, can I use Chimney to buff my weapons with the embers (fire elemental damage)? Is fire the only allowed type, if it is allowed?
Can the ashen constructs be tiered if I simply pay for them (or have other types of defenses, such as causing fire damage if they're passed through), or would they require something extra such as Armament Haki?

I imagine heat would be allowed as your elemental damage, maybe not fire though I'm unsure
Debuffing tends to me limited to poisons when it comes to fruits, however you'd certainly be able to apply effects like disorient and sensory overload, especially the latter for free
You'd probably be allowed tiered constructs considering the fruit is listed as being able to make constructs. Additionally they'd probably have the construct ability free.

Don't believe Chimney has debuffs enabled, not 100% on that though.
It'd be more heat than fire, but yes essentially. Its the only active element I can think of you'd be able to really produce and use, though you're always free to test your creativity
DF constructs can be tiered, yes, if paid for, no need for haki. Reasonably you could also make them hot enough to cause damage to people that tried to touch or move through them. You wouldn't, however, get construct for free; you could make ashen "constructs" freeform since that's a basic ability of the fruit, but as far as techs are concerned you'd still need the construct effect.
