Professions:
  • Assassin - Primary: The Assassin profession gives stealth skills, the ability to move silently through areas without being detected. It also gives general poison knowledge. An Assassin generally has little actual combat experience, since their victims don't fight back, and as such don't fare that well in a true fight. Assassins are able to create poisons that debuff, and have access to stealth techniques. Additionally they will be proficient in small weapons such as daggers or blow darts.

  • Doctor - Secondary: A Doctor, on a ship or otherwise, gains large medical knowledge. Suturing and cleaning wounds, making bandages out of various materials and preparing drugs, is all part of a Doctor's job. Doctors are the only ones capable of healing serious injuries on the crew.

Hair: Chocolate brown hair, short and messy.
Eyes: Bright green eyes.

Clothing/Accessories: On his head he have googles, often resting on his forehead. He wears a white t-shirt and dark blue denim. Etho sports millitary boots, with the whole green and brown colors scattered. He also wear a brown leather coat, 5 inches long.

General Appearance: Lean and muscular in build, though is more muscular then slim. Pale from years in the shadows. He always carry a posture that says that he is relaxed, however he is always listening, always aware and his eyes constantly following sounds and movement. That is unless he is with others, in which case he gives more attention to them.

Like all Dwarves, Etho have a fluffy tail, his have the same brown color of his hair.

Mad Scientist - Etho added wings to himself, feathers black like a ravens.

The Character
Personality: All dwarves are gullible...

What Etho think of the world, well, it is the only world he have and wishing for a better world is useless and bound to make you feel unhappy. Instead, go traveling, find every nook and cranny of this world, finding different communities and places that are odd or different from what you know, well, that is like finding different worlds. Some of these worlds are wort exploring.

There exist good and there exist evil, not much to do about it, it is owever what you do with this information that matters. Basically, be good if that feels right for you and be evil if that feels right for you and when someone crosses you, deal with it in a manner that feels right for you. When it comes to morals, well, Etho will do whatever it takes to carry out any mission, to that end he can be entirely scrupleless.

Because of the dwarfs inherent guilible nature, Etho have trust issues. Should he ever learn of some sensitive information, he wont tell anyone what that is, not even if someone tells him they know and tell Etho what it is. He would tell only his emloyer or take it with him to the grave, holding out even through torture.

Because of his trust issues, loyality is an iffy thing. He have only true loyality to those who have earned it, which is a rare thing at best. But it can be bought by peole wishing to use his small size for infiltration and spying, however that type of loyality is cheep and he can't be bought to go against those who have earned his true loyalty.

Hometown: Shells Town, East Blue

History: As a child he always won at hide and seek, having an afinity to hiding. It even went so far that for a time all the kids he used to play with was the seekers, that is until they grew bored and started playing without him. Getting bored himself he hid and hid until he was found by worried adults who had been searching for hours on end. After being grounded and yelled at by worried parents, he learned that other dwarves stopped taking him serious when he "disapeared". Being not taken serious made him so much more serious about hiding. It came to the oint that no one would spot him until he walked home but before he got home he didn't just found a hiding place and stayed there. No, he adventured, with his trusty blow dart he would often chase away animals, just not big animals, from food provided by nature, like an apple or to kill insects.. He liked survival games..

This all changed one fateful day when his pride took over him, thinking that no one could find him, not even the animals of the lands. Etho was wrong, so very wrong but before he would learn this vital lesson he tried to sneak into a snake nest and steal an egg. It was a really stupid idea for an ego bosst, though he got in, getting out was harder since he was caught and to boot was thought of as food. His saving grace was a Big Human, Dwarf name for Human. What the Big Human was doing there, Etho didn't know though speculated that the Big Human was after the snakes or the vemon in their fangs.

The Big Human needed only to speak a little about the world beyond to peak Etho's interest, he had always dreamt about adventures. His very first adventure away from home, beyond what he knew, was slavery. With his gulible nature he believed the Big Humans and came with them willingly, he didn't notice anything at first though he was fooled into a few "favors". He always refused to let go of his blow dart, no matter how much they lied about how much they needed to hold one. On such a night he saw them for what they where when they tried to force him to give up his blow dart, even going so far as to grabbing it while trying to shake Etho of.

That night Etho spent the night on a sack of potato with a former rebelious Dwarven slave who peeled potatoes one by one and never ending. The slave told Etho about the rest of the so called slaves, so Etho grabbed the peeler and swatted the other one, like a fly, who was sent flying to the wall and then collapsed, no doubt they needed sleep but most importantly they couldn't tell the Big Humans anything knocked out.

Etho shot every Big Human, the few that was in his way to freedom, with a poison to make them feel weak and sick, making them want what passes for a bed on the ship. The second thing he did was, while not outright saving the others he did locate them to tell them the truth just before he ran off to a more pleasant adventure or perhaps a more exhilarating adventure, his list was long and he traveled far.

He got involved with politics, working as a mercenary, spying for the highest bidder and aquiring sensitive information. Because none of these rich and influentual Big Humans where nothing more then buissnes aquaintances Etho could easily
play the doubble, triple or even quadraple agent to rack in as much coin as possible, as his fleeting loyalty came with a price tag.

His lifestyle had left him with few friends, though he was prepared for it, there came a time where he had to go underground. Deciding that this will be a good time to start traveling again. Following odd rumors to see where they lead him, this worked out for him because he didn't have a preferred destination, the goal was simply to move onward, the goal was the journey. Half the time rumors lead to nothing and the other half he found himself in trouble.

Etho came into a clinic one night, wounded from a fight, coming from a place a rumor had led him to and found trouble. For a time of eleven years he stopped bothering with rumors and focused on medical studies, mostly because he had found a good doctor to study under and their personal motto was to learn how to heal before learn how to harm. At the end of his apprenticeship he was to do something big with his knowledge, something that he could take with him on his travels, so he altered his body for wings. When the doctor found out she got angry and finger flicked him, yelling at him to get out, thinking that it should have been something beneficial for the community based on the knowledge he had learnt. Etho wasn't welcome anymore so he decided to travel once more and the best way to start that was to follow up on new rumors, though he lingered for a while learning how to use his wings.

One of the rumors was about a talking gerbil in captivity so that their owner could sell tickets to people. Etho watched the so called performance and returned at night, he shoot the Big Human with his blow dart, making them feel weak and sick. From there it was an easy matter to getting the key and getting the gerbil out of the tiny cage and finding out that it was a little big human.

Recognizing that they worked good together and that Etho had saved her Juno joined Etho. Though soon she would find out about how gullible a dwarf could be, which was the starting point for the two as Juno declared her position as the "Yell at Etho when he falls for obvious lies".. The odd duo became fast friends.

Abilities and Possessions
Combat: He uses his blow dart, often in conjunction with his poison expertise to weaken an enemy before he start a fist fight. Etho have many tools at his disposal for a fist fight, firstly is the inherent Dwarven strength and the fact that Dwarves are hard to hit. He like to employ hit and run tactics, sort of, he hit and run and then hit again, somewhere else on the enemy.

Traits:

Dwarf (2 General Traits) Character must be in the Grand Line - Dwarves are extremely small humanoids with fluffy tails. Dwarves gain the benefits of the Mighty Strength trait and have a mastery benefit on all their movement techniques of +4 ranks. Their small sizes makes them harder to hit but they also take more damage when hit. They tend to be extremely gullible.

Born Leader (1 General Trait) - Characters with this trait are gifted with the ability to command respect and admiration from others. Sentient NPCs are easier to sway over to the side of those with this trait. They may gain information, calm down the angry, and sometimes even placate hostile adversaries. Additionally, those normally friendly to strangers find themselves easily enamoured with the character. The user also gains one NPC henchman, who behaves as a crew NPC and is controlled by the player of the main character. They are exceedingly loyal to their ‘master’.

Mad Scientist (1 professional Trait) (Wings)- The epitome of madness. Cackling and gleeful hand-rubbing is a favorite pastime of this character, and every time they finish an experiment, there are obligatory flashes of lightning. The mad scientist has the ability to make one major biological modification to themselves or any NPCs they control.

I changed out The Beast Handler Trait for Born Leader and changed very little about when he meet his companion.

This app was approved less than a month ago. Rather than going through the hassle of a scoop, I'd be fine simply doing this through a char/misc topic. Normally you wouldn't be allowed to swap traits around like this, but seeing as how you're new, the nature of the change, and the fact you haven't started RPing yet, I'd be inclined to let it slide. So, I'm going to decline this for now, and what you want to do is post a topic is Character/Misc Submission instead asking to swap the traits.
