’Ah right bullets, better move out of the way of that.’ Dahlia’s inner monologue is surprisingly calm for the way she moved. She zig-zaged around the gunsman turning at sharp angles to try and confuse them as much as she could. Bullets popped around her dangerously close one even impacted right in front of her forward motion causing her to bolt at a right angle. She managed to get a bit too close for them to be firing guns and she heard something that the hammer headed fishman said.

” Don’t call me a thing, I’m Dahlia. And- She had wanted to tell him that he sounded creepy but she got cut off. Turns out getting distracted in front of a bunch of people that were shooting at you seconds before was a bad idea because one of them kicked her towards his friends. She sailed through the air as another foot was coming up to send her in another direction. She had to think quick or these guys were gonna toss her around like a hakysack, She pulled a different explosive out of her bag and tossed it at the pirate’s face. He flinched but the small ball simply made a series of popping noises and little flashes in his face, and he only had a second of being confused as the little pink projectile he had been ready to kick suddenly slammed into his foot with more force than he would have thought possible. Dahlia’s fist connected with his boot and she could feel it break a toe or two from the momentum she gained.

The man with the broken toes howled in pain and hopped back holding his foot. She looked up at the few men that were surrounding her. ”Want some more?” She wiped under her nose removing the little bit of blood that leaked out, when she got kicked the first time. She tried to keep an eye on what was going on with the big guy, he looked like these guys’ boss but he didn’t seem too concerned with keeping them safe, more like he was getting annoyed that they were losing. That and he was starting to move with Don or more like he was moving to intercept him? It was hard to tell from where she was.

The red-haired man's lack of care disturbed Don's flow, growing a deep caution within him. The large man didn't throw anymore cannonballs, he didn't run for Don or anyone else. He didn't even look at his comrades as they frantically reloaded multiple guns.

Speaking of his comrades, Don saw a few of them get knocked out of commission. Excluding the few who were knocked out earlier by that explosion, only a handful or two were left. Don even caught a glimpse of the other fishman striking out at one of the pirates.

Don was glad. The gunshots were relatively unaffected against Don's body, but that wasn't to say he was completely unaffected. Too many shots and they really might get through. Even if they didn't, he was starting to get sore and numb. So it was huge relief when he saw the only two people who could possibly help out fighting.

More-so, there were two pirates who seemed slightly distinguished from the others. This wasn't an astute observation on Don's part though. The two men were darker in skin, quite tall and incredibly muscular. Clothing-wise too, they were shirtless except for loose clothing strips hanging loosely on their bodies. Hopefully the two of them could be dealt with as not to make all this even harder.

And yet, the red-haired man didn't flinch. Don didn't let this get to him, shaking his head as he sprinted for the red-haired man. Son of a bitch can't be fast. Not when he's that big. I'll out-speed him.

Hmph

It was finally then that the red-haired man reacted, grinning widely with a mad gaze. His right arm shot back and gripped another cannonball. Don's eyes widened as he saw the small pile of cannonballs behind him.

"TEN HUT!"

The large jagged haired pirates slammed his right foot forwards and followed through the momentum with a powerful strike. The cannonball flew forwards, shooting through the air straight at Don. The fishman grit his teeth and time seemed to slow. Don could practically feel the sweat dripping down his face. Now.

SWOOSH

Don just barely ducked down in time. The force of the man's throw made a gust of air nearly push Don back. He barely kept his momentum though, speeding forwards still. The jagged-haired man's eyes widened as he reached out for another ball, this time slightly more agitated. Don couldn't perceive this though, relying solely on instinct to get close at this point. He'd succeeded in dodging the first ball, but now he had an even greater issue. The speed at which his arm moved to throw the ball was incredibly fast. Was it even possible for him to be slow?

Geralf inhaled and took in a deep breath of a lethal combination of dust and gunpowder smoke, the combination had a sick, weird odor to it but the doctor had no choice but to take a whiff of it as he successfully landed a blow on the pirate. He wasn’t really known for his stamina, he was a doctor for god’s sake and doctors have no need for this useless training. What they need is a large capacity of brain storage to take in all the knowledge they could in order to excel further in their field of work, or so he thought.

The pirate had wrapped his abdomen with both arms; it’s as if the blow was powerful enough to knock the air out of him, even Geralf was a bit surprised with what he had done. He was the type to turn away from a fight, but now it left him no choice but to fight his way out.

On the back, he noticed that the tiny creature which called herself Dahlia had been kicked like a piece of doll but was able to make a comeback and smashed the other guy’s foot. Astounding. ‘Ohhh~ Those tiny hands packs quite a punch to them.. What was its name again? Ahh~ Dahlia.’ Geralf playfully recalled while still gasping for air and at the same time chose to focus his attention towards the other two pirates.

As he shot his sights towards the other two, the doctor noticed another figure in the back; actually there were two of them. One turned towards the doctor, while the other held his position as if not wanting to disturb the red-haired pirate of his afternoon tea time with the other fishman. His skin was dark, and was incredibly muscular like those muscle bounded idiots who does nothing but sculpt their physique all day long.

He pushed the other two aside as he came forward, “I’ll deal with this freak.” Clutching his knuckle and cracking them, “And when I’m done, we’ll drag his ass to the auction house, he’ll fetch a nice price.” The pirate nodded as he talked in a deep, Southern African tone.

“This will be troublesome, hmmm.” Geralf said in a hushed tone as he set his cane down and reached for a syringe.

Dahlia had been sure that the largeish group would end up attacking her again, but they seemed to scramble back as a dark skinned muscular man made his way over. She sized him up as a fist fighter in an instant, the way he presented himself made that much obvious.

”Move morons! Why any of you thought you might be a match for fishman or a dwarf is beyond me. I’ll handle this you all would only get in the way.” he pushed the gunman out of the way. ” You there, Dahlia! I am Ramsay the grip. Prepare for a crushing defeat at my hands he took up an open palmed stance.

”This is starting to get annoying, if you’re so eager to get beat down before your men be my guest” She cracked her knuckles and glared at him.

Dahlia stood there locked in a stare down with the man for several long seconds as if they were trying to judge what the other one would do. The man moved first charging forwards and swinging his open hand at the ground where Dahlia stood. Too slow, dahlia dashed under his legs and kicked him in the back of the leg, he didn’t fall. He was lifting himself back up from his attack holding a fist sized chunks of rock crushing it with his hand as he turned around. ’oh geez this guy is tough, and his grip strength is crazy! Was he trying to grab me? This is not going to be as easy as I thought.’

The young dwarf scrambled back to put distance between them but it wasn’t going to be enough. Ramsay was fully turned around and he pointed at her.

”you cannot win little one, I am your superior in strength and stamina and my capitan is by far my own. Give up and accept your fate!”

Dahlia rolled her eyes at him, ”See now if that was gonna work I would have run away when we first got attacked. All that is gonna do is make it way more satisfying when you’re on the ground and I’m walking away.” The grin on her face was matched in intensity by the angry frown that furrowed his. ’And hopefully that anger will make him sloppy enough that he keeps on missing.’

The cannonball smashed into the ground somewhere behind Don as neared the red-haired man. Four, three, two. Don had just barely entered the man's range. The red-haired man noticed and gave up throwing the cannon balls, instead opting to simply fight Don hand-to-hand.

The fact that he had to fight in such a fashion seemed to displease him, grumbling and frowning as he spun around and lunged onto Don. His right arm slammed down as he fell towards the fishman, using his own weight and momentum to crash his elbow Down on the fishman.

Shit.

Don shut his eyes closed and threw all caution to the wind. Here goes nothing. Don ducked down and kicked off to the side at the same time. He didn't even look while doing it, lest the oncoming attack's brute strength spread fear and slow his movements.

The softer sound of an arm smashing against soil came from behind Don as he rolled on the ground and jumped to his feet. He instantly spun around, right arm raised out to punch before he even saw where the red-haired man was.

Please.

He slammed his right foot down in front of him as he spun and followed through with his weight as he unleashed a powerful punch. In the short period of time between Don rolling out from under the man's elbow strike, to him standing up and throwing a punch; not once did Don open his eyes. He simply prayed that the man was still in the same place and that his movements were quick enough to give no time to react.

Thud

Don's hardened fist hit flesh, slamming against the man's abdomen. Shockwaves from the punch made the man's skin ripple. A grin of success grew on Don's face as he shot back and finally opened his eyes. As expected, the red-haired man was still leaned over from his attempt to attack Don. He stumbled to the side and grasped where Don hit him in pain, lumbering slowly while groaning.

"Not bad!"

His powerful voice caused Don to shrink back a little. He's still standing? The man not only was still standing, but he stood up straight and glared at Don angrily. Tell me that at least hurt..

Geralf hadn’t had a second thought; he knew he wouldn’t stand a chance if he is going to go toe to toe with this muscle bounded idiot, and so he would need the assistance of his superior intellect and could only hope of getting out of this relatively unscathed. The doctor scanned the dark-skinned pirate, the first thing he noticed was the obvious bulk to his physique, his muscles underneath his rough and scarred skin looked durable enough that cheap needle syringes wouldn’t able to penetrate deep enough to reach his bloodstream.

“Tsk.” The doctor clicked his tongue in a sign of displease, it was one of his bad habits that he wasn’t able to correct back in his youthful days.

“What have I gotten myself into?”

“So are you just gonna stand there fishman?!” The dark-skinned pirate yelled with a large smile on his face, showing a rather incomplete, disgusting set of teeth Geralf had ever seen in his whole life. “If you ain’t coming, then I’ll be the one to come to you.” Knowing he has the upperhand, the pirate dashes forward in an utmost cockiest manner possible.

“Ugghh, he’s quick!”

Geralf knew his planned was foiled, though he knows there is a way to deal with this adversary, he just needs to know where to hit the softest spot repeatedly to soften the muscle and inject his toxin into his bloodstream. Letting go of the syringe, Geralf prepared to dodge as the pirate charged like a raging bull in a pit. The doctor leapt sideways to his right, rolling as he tightened his grip on his cane.

The pirate then crashed onto the nearby debris crushing it in an instant as dust particles began to rise, forming a thick cloud. The fishman picked himself up and breathed a sigh of relief, he was safe for the moment but he knew he had to act fast. Geralf dashed towards the pirate seeing as he was still quite dizzy upon the impact, using another piece of debris as leverage, he then sprung up airborne and aimed his cane on the pirate’s neck and delivers a powerful strike.

Dahlia was the first one to break the standoff this time, charging right up to her larger opponent. He made another reach for her but she expected him to do that, he was after all calling himself The Grip. She hopped right up onto his arm and scurried up winking at him as she ran past his face and jumped above him.

”What are-” He looked up only to see the little dwarf crashing down, her tail impacting his face with a force that shouldn’t have been possible for something so small. He carried down with her, his head impacted the ground and Dahlia hopped back to see if he would get up.

”So you were saying something about being stronger than me? I feel like that’s not gonna matter if you can’t actually land a hit.” Unfortunately the large man was not going to be taken down just like that. He lifted himself up and spat out a tooth.

”Maybe you are stronger than you seem. Yet I am stronger still!” He was at a strange angle now, basically leaping forward at her from a kneeling position. Another predictable move, Dahlia jumped up over him. That was when she realized her mistake as his other hand shot out above him and plucked her out of the air.

”let me go you-AHH!” She didn’t get to finish as he squeezed all the air out of her causing her to scream.

”You have a big mouth for one so small.” he held her out at arm's length slowly increasing pressure.

Dahlia could feel her body starting to give a bit as he squeezed tighter, it was a bad situation if he keep a hold of her like this she was gonna pass out. She felt for her bag, her arm was practically pinned to it but it was there. What she needed was to distract him so she could get her bombs without him noticing. ”you- ah one to talk- ah, those- oh long speeches- ah common.”

His eyes widened and he grit his teeth in anger. ”Perhaps you would like a quicker death, allow me to help you!” He wound up and pitched her at the ground, Dahlia made it just in time. As he released his grip she grabbed a handful of bombs and lobbed them at his face. Through his missing tooth, a few of the bombs slipped into his mouth right before they exploded. The result of this exchange was Dahlia hitting the ground and bouncing away and her opponent's head being engulfed in smoke from the aftermath of the explosions. Ramsay fell to the ground, his eyes rolled up into his head his mouth smoking from where he ate a bomb.

The still standing weaker pirates were hanging their mouths open in shock.

The large man stepped forwards, ready to strike at Don again. This time Don noticed something though, a slight limp in his step. In fact, when Don looked at the man, he no longer saw an intimidating beast. The striking red hair combined with his physique to be quite the thing, but it seemed like Don's punch really did something.

"Hmph!"

Don didn't think further, gathering his courage to strike back. Although in realtiy, he didn't need to gather it. Ever since landing a hit, Don had felt like a weight was lifted off his shoulders. Whether he noticed it or not, it gave him courage. Whether it be from the knowledge that this hulking man could really be hurt, or that Don wouldn't die as quickly as he thought; it was a comforting thought.

The red-haired man saw Don's shift in tone and snarled, speeding up and charging at Don. Don was about to sprint towards him as well to settle this fight, but something up above caught his sight. Don smirked and quickly put his eyes back on the man, keeping his face straight as not to give away anything.

The fishman whistled loudly and then bolted full speed at the red-haired man. The gap between the two rapidly closed. Don raised his arms out at his sides and let out a guttural roar. The red-haired man grew a massive grin, revealing his weirdly sharp teeth.

"Die-!"

Slash

Don suddenly shot to the ground and rolled out of the way. At the same time, something came down from above and shot past the large man, slashing at his eyes. The soft tissue wasn't as resilient as the rest of his body, easily being cut. The red-haired man gripped his eyes in pain, trying to slow down, but his momentum carried him forwards. Don's tail stretched out and slammed against his foot, causing him to stumble to the ground and tumble with no control.

Don didn't give him an inch, instantly shooting after him and stretching his arms out once again. "Hundred tile cutting claw!" He slashed out with his arms, nails becoming sharp for a brief instant and slicing into the man's flesh.

The man howled in pain, blood pooling from several cut wounds. Don stumbled back and breathed heavily, tail hurting from whacking the man's leg. The sound of something hitting sand came from behind Don, the fishman turning to see a sight for sore eyes.

Growl

Gruff, a mix between a lion and an eagle, walked up to him and nuzzled against his leg. "Took you damn long enough."

“Hmmm, I’ve managed to hit him but something seems… off.”

Geralf didn’t have the leisure of easing his grip on his cane; he knew the pirate wouldn’t fall down with just a direct hit on his neck. No, it would be far too easy if that were the case. The doctor would already be slicing him open and study his muscle structure by now.

“You have strength in you fishman.” The pirate said with his deeply accented voice, “So based on what I’ve heard, I already believe it’s true that you fishmen have posses ten times more than our strength. But-“ He paused and flashed his disgusting set of teeth once more with a bizarre smile, “Yours is pretty shitty!”

The pirate didn’t allow Geralf to react by quickly taking hold of the fishman’s arm, “This- This is true strength! HAHAHAHAHAHA!” He pulled his free arm back and curled up a fist, then driving it onto the doctor’s face, hard. One, two, three hard punches to the fishman’s face; those punches were quite strong supported by muscles dense enough to crush solid rocks.

“If you had been trained physically, I might’ve fallen down with that hit earlier. But you, you’re pathetic!”

Geralf’s body grew limp as he was still held by the pirate; he wasn’t accustomed to getting hit. Heck, his parents wouldn’t even dare hit him. “You.. Talk.. Too much..” The doctor said, mustering what strength he had left, he lifts his other arm and began striking the pirate on the same spot as he did with his cane. Repeatedly as many times as he could before feeling his strength oozing out of his body, he felt lactic acid began creeping on his muscles giving it the burning sensation.

“Futile, stop wasting your strength and just allow me to incapacitate you and then I’ll drag your limp body down the auction house.” And again flashing his teeth, he lifts Geralf high up and drove him to the ground.

“Arrgghhhh!” A stream of blood shoots out of Geralf’s mouth.

“You’re done.”

Bending over, the pirate picks Geralf up by the neck with a firm grip but not that firm that he was choking him. Geralf was now slipping in and out of consciousness, though he fought hard to stay awake but his body wasn’t in the mood to listen and with the little strength he could muster, he reached for the syringe on his pocket and before the pirate would notice what he was doing, he stabbed the syringe on his neck, pushing the plunger down.

Dahlia lay there for a bit, just breathing heavily her ears were ringing and she felt like her whole torso was gonna bruise up. But as much as taking a nap on the ground was looking more and more appealing she still had some gawking spectators to deal with. She lifted herself back up and brushed some dirt out of her clothes and picked up her hat, adjusting it on her head. The few gunman that were still standing around were frozen in shock, just looking off at the battlefield. She lazily turned her head towards the actual fighting ground, catching the last look of the opponents that the two fishmen were fighting as the were falling to the ground. She walked over to her own downed foe, poking him a little to see if he was dead. A soft groan but no other movement told her that he was still alive, if just barely. ’this guys face must be made of iron or something, he only lost like three more teeth from that explosion.’

She grabbed his arm and started dragging him over to pile him up on the big cannonball guy. One of the stunned gunners took a step forward, and it earned him a bullet in the ear as Dahlia shot and grazed him on purpose. He stumbled back at the furious look that the small creature was giving him and all at once the remaining foes started running back towards the town screaming. ”Capitan!” Dahlia groaned at the thought that they were getting even more people to come ruin her day. She tossed Ramsay’s unconscious body onto the other downed guy.

”Right so. I’m sure you heard that but um, I didn’t get your name before the fighting started. Either of you. Also, HOLY COW! I didn’t think people would be like this when I left Gritando. Plus I’ve only ever read about fishmen, I didn’t think I’d meet any quite so soon, you’re really strong.” She looked back over at Geralf and noticed how beat up he was. ”Then again those guys weren't exactly pushovers either and it sounds like we aren’t done just yet.”

Don plopped down on the ground, sitting and heaving heavily with him arms propped up against the ground behind him. "Fuck." It was just one thing after another with this goddamn island. The Grand Line definitely lived up to its name at the very least. That small time pirate captain gave him one hell of a fight.

Or at least Don thought that the red-haired man was those pirates' captain. That relatively positive thought was shattered as he glanced to his side and saw some of the men running away shouting captain. Did they have another man who served as captain? Don didn't even want to think on it, rubbing his face tiredly and sighing.

Thinking on a brighter note; sure, the people in the Grand Line were of another caliber, but Don just proved himself to be of an even higher one. Well, with a little aid from a flying lion of course. Speaking of whom, Gruff's head turned up to look at the red-haired man. Don's gaze followed, seeing a body get dumped atop the man Don just fought. Hmm?

It was then that the little girl from earlier walked up and began speaking. Her presence broke Don out of his state of fatigue, glancing around as he remembered the other fishman. As Don caught sight of him, the man didn't look to be faring all that well, but it seemed he'd succeeded as he plunged a needle into the other man's neck.

"We?" Don asked, groaning as he stood up. "Sure you don't wanna run away? Someone as small as you can hide. They won't be all that happy when they see you." Don stretched his arms. He was tired and sore in some spots, but overall wasn't hurt too badly. He'd opted to dodge most of the large man's attacks, allowing him to avoid lots of pain. It ran the risk of taking lots of damage should he fail, but it all worked out.

"And what about you?" Don called over to the other fishman. "If you don't leave this island they'll come hunting for you."

Geralf felt the pirate’s grip loosened, enough for him to struggle and get away. He drove his knee towards the pirate’s sternum, effectively breaking free of his clutches and falling on the ground. The doctor struggled to pick himself up, his body was aching from all those beating, his face might have doubled in size from swelling.

“That was careless of me.. too careless perhaps..”

Reaching into his pocket, Geralf pulled out a handkerchief and began to wipe his mouth of blood and an awful taste of iron. And then folding it neatly then placing it back inside his pocket, looking down he could see that the sedative he injected the pirate with had already taken its effect. He was effectively grounded, though still awake but weakened considerably. His tense muscles had already loosened and relaxed, he could still throw a punch but in this state, Geralf could take even ten of those without breaking a sweat.

“You’ve caused me much trouble pirate, strange that I think of your kind as inferior but for you to posses this much strength. You have my respect.”

And again the doctor reached onto his pocket, but this time he pulled out another syringe. “This my friend, is a neurotoxin that I successfully cultured for my studies.. this toxin attacks your neurological tissues and you know what would happen, do you?” The pirate could only moan in response, his saliva was now dripping out of his mouth as his muscles relaxed.

Geralf showed his a gleeful smile on his face, though it was evident that it was more of an evil smile than ecstatic. He bends down and injected the pirate with it on the same spot. Then, Geralf’s alone time with the pirate was cut short when he heard the other fishman calling, something about leaving before someone catches up to them.

“Hmmph, I’m saddened by the fact that I wouldn’t be able to study the effects of the toxin on your body..” The doctor paused to catch his breath and then he continued, “And because time is of the essence. So.. enjoy it while you still can.” Before he left, he repeatedly stomped on the pirate's face and a nice hearty kick to his mid section and then tipped his hat and cane in hand, Geralf turned around dusting off his coat and went on his way to join the other two.

Dahlia rolled her eyes, ”yha, I’m sure I could hide for a while. If everything on this island wasn’t White I’d imagine I might get away with it. Buuuuut I’m not gonna get very far with that if they actually start looking, I’m not great at hiding.” She tapped her foot thinking. ”but that doesn't mean we can’t make them think that! I’ll need to apologise later but I think we can use these buildings to our advantage” The tiny dwarf got a look in her eyes like she had a crazy idea, it was a dangerous look. She started digging through her bag for some things and stopped. ”I’m moving too fast, let me explain what I’m thinking.”

She pulled out a little pointer and started drawing in the sand a little map of the docks. ”So we are here. She pointed at a spot and then over to some buildings that were pretty close together. ”And over here is where I’m thinking of, basically the plan amounts to knocking over a building or two onto this guy. Or well just a little bit of them, not like there hasn’t been enough knocking over of buildings already.

She put the pointer back down, ” And uh, we might want to go check on the merchant back there, he didn’t look so good last time I saw him.” She scurried around and brushed the map away with her tail while moving to look towards the town. She couldn’t see anything coming just yet but maybe all the white was hurting her eyes. ” I don’t know how long we have before they get here but, if I set up a trap over there do you think you can get them to go into it? And uh, maybe mister Doctor can give them a dose of what he gave that other guy, if their capitan is anything like these three his stupid face is gonna be like a sheet of steel It might be better if he can’t get himself out once I drop a building on him.” A noise sounded in the distance like a sort of angry snarl.

”And just like that we are out of time,” She scurried over towards the sort of alleyway and winked before disappearing into it. ”Just shout if you need my help! I’ll work something out!”

Don glanced back down to the miniature girl as she begun ruffling through her bag for something. The fishman leaned up against a tree as she took out a small stick and drew a little map on the sand. It seemed she had some sort of plan involving buildings. He reserved his scepticism and didn't expect much to come from listening, but it didn't hurt,

A small dot that she'd poked into the sand indicated their location, not incredibly far away from another clumping of buildings. The basic premise was to cause the buildings to collapse on the pirates after drawing them in. Her plan was a bit naive, but the core idea had merit. "It's not like we can just go around breaking walls and collapsing buildings, but something heavy would do the job well enough. A preemptive attack like that could make a head-on fight much easier."

She also brought to his attention the old man. Shit. Don had nearly forgotten about the guy. Before he could worry further about the man, a noise sounded out from far off in the distance, one that wasn't particularly pleasant to hear. From what he could discern, something living made that noise. An animal? The girl took that noise as a cue, hurrying off to go prepare something without much further notice.

Don sighed and rolled his neck, sick of all these problems stacking up one after another. That one's a handful. Turning his attention away from the girl's back as she scurried off, Don called over to the other fishman. "You're a doctor right? I can deal with some minor things but his injuries didn't look too good." Don looked back over at the shop and could vaguely see the old man's shape. "Anyways, could you help him?"

Geralf could see that the two were talking and the tiny creature which called herself Dahlia was scribbling something on the ground, something about breaking and collapsing buildings and stuff. The doctor wasn’t really sure what it was and he didn’t really like to pry on other specie’s business, as he got closer he heard the other fishman calling to him regarding the old man that was caught in the middle of the battle earlier.

“I’ll see what I can do; he’s still useful to me anyway.”

Geralf talked in a cold, monotonous tone. He remembered that the old man needed to ‘share’ some information with him, valuable information at that at least to the doctor. Geralf then turned to the direction of the store, and went on his way towards it. He knew time is of the essence as losing even just two liters of blood can already be lethal to a regular human, much more that this one had barely enough stamina on him despite his upbeat demeanor.

As he got closer, Geralf scanned the surroundings, looking for things that might collapse as he treats the old man. Above is the overhanging roof, it’s still intact though the supporting beams seemed heavily damaged by the blast earlier and didn’t look like it would hold on for much longer. The doctor hastily entered the premises and found the old man lying on a pool of his own blood, and this time, his consciousness had already faded into oblivion.

“Hmmmm.. The wound looks severe, and the bleeding doesn’t look like it would be coming to a halt..” Geralf carefully deducted the situation; he bends down and picks up the old man to transfer him outside where they are free from the roof collapsing on them, he hastily goes outside a few meters from the site and laid the old man down.

Reaching for his pocket, Geralf pulls out a clean piece of cloth and lays it on the ground. He had a sick feeling that this was against his principles, he knew that everything should be sterilized to prevent further infection but he needed to keep the old man alive. On his other pocket, he pulled out his dissecting kit and lays it over the cloth, opening it. The doctor then raised both his hands with palms facing inwards.

“Let us begin.”
