The problem with ambling aimlessly through a town searching for your friends was typically the aimlessly part. The ambling as well. Honestly, it was all wrong when pirates were attacking. However, Chrysoara had no other choice with the state he was in. He walked slowly and carefully. Each step he took felt like a thousand pounds as he struggled. Apparently, the fight with Ripster had taken more out of him than he had thought. Chrysoara saw a small group up ahead but he was just….so…tired. He didn’t consciously choice to slump over. Rather, it was as if his body decided that on its own. He felt himself lean against the nearby building and take measured breaths. He thought he’d be okay, though he was exhausted. Chances are that he just needed a minute to recover his breathe. He just hoped Ceu could hold on while he did that. Though, in retrospect, he probably wasn’t in any shape to assist Ceu anyway. He would probably end up getting in her way again. He had to get stronger. He was tired of this happening to him. He was always the weak one. Why couldn’t he just be strong enough so that others didn’t have to worry? Chrys couldn’t help but imagine what Ceu would do if she saw him slumped against the building like this. “Are you okay, Mr. Marine?” A feminine voice said from overhead. Chrysoara couldn’t suppress the groan. For a split second, he thought it was Ceu. The voice, though, was completely different. Chrys allowed his head to peek up and look at the woman in front of him. The woman was relatively cute. She had short blonde hair that fell just past her chin and strange wings on her back. Not to Chrysoara was one to call anything weird. He was a damned jellyfish. She wore jeans and a simple t-shirt, though managed to look like she was showing up in relaxed wear for work nonetheless. “Just tired.” Chrysoara said with a smile. To his surprise, the woman plopped down next to him. He momentarily wondered how she knew he was a marine but then quickly realized that he was wearing his marine uniform. That would explain that little mystery. “Will you protect me if the pirates come at me? They attacked my shop to get this map” The woman said, holding a map in her hand. Chrysoara immediately realized what it was. That was the reason they had attacked this town. “Sure. What’s so special about that map?” “I don’t know, to be honest. My grandfather brought it with us when we came to this island. I always assumed it was a hoax that he made up to explain our weird wings.” The woman seemed to hesitate as if she didn’t want to explain the next part. Chrysoara couldn’t help but wonder what it was. Why would she willingly sit next to him and share that she had the map but hesitate to explain it fully? “You see…. this is supposed to be a map of a sky island. Those rumored lands in the sky, ya know? I mean, I didn’t think it was real…but the pirates sure seem to think so. Luckily you marines are here to help” “This time.” Chrysoara said solemnly. He was good with people, but he also recognized a need to be blunt at times. This was one of those times. “Though, these pirates worked for someone else. As long as what they want is here then more pirates will come for it.” Chrysoara passed to catch his breath. He was sure the pause would have a lasting effect on her. Pauses were great for dramatic effect. “I can take the map off your hands. My partner Ceu – she’s a swordswoman – and I can handle ourselves.” While Chrysoara was intensely aware of the current state of his body when he said they can handle themselves, he hoped it would work. He didn’t want this woman being a target any longer than she had to. Besides, the map could help Chrysoara figure out what the pirates end goal was. He didn’t like a large pirate force that seemed this coordinated. It just didn’t smell right to him. He would say it smelled fishy but…well…. he was a fish. It always smelled fishy when he was around. “Hmm, okay. I don’t think my grandfather would have minded if I gave it to the marines. Especially since that swordswoman helped me out back there.” The woman said as she handed the map off to Chrys. He took the rolled-up piece of paper and held it in his left hand. “She helped you? Do you know where she is at right now?” Chrysoara asked, acting as if he had the energy to go to her even if he did know where she was. “Right up that way. It seemed like everything was beginning to settle down, though.” The woman said cheerfully as she flashed Chrysoara a smile. |

At this point, everyone who hadn't received a massage yet were lined up, eager to have their stamina regenerated, like their comrades, so much so, that the latest marine to enter jumped at the sight of the massive lady, but her professional and reasonable manners lead to the marine hesitantly laying on the table. A moment later, there was the sensation of what could only be described as a hail of rocks tickling his back, and his whole body grew numb. "My, my, you like going above and beyond, don't you? You shouldn't push yourself" She said, somehow reading him like a book from just tapping his back. Jynx was already done, however, as she pressed four different points on his body, and he suddenly realized he could move again, and, more terrifyingly, he had momentarily been robbed of his movement, without his knowledge. "I assure you, everyone else is-" Lucius stood, quite passively as she yanked his arm, out of nowhere, and he calmly rolled on the ground, his arms stuck upwards, his expression blank as Ceu responded to the gunman. Lucius stood, brushing himself off, "My, my, it seems you've attracted quite the crowd, madam. It seems I will need more than my usual bag of tricks to dispose of them." He remarked, casually, as he drew his pair of sai. Then something strange occurred, as he drew another pair, with their own set of arms. His eyes also swelled, as they curled around his head and solidified into countless lenses, a long, segmented tail extruded from his tailbone, and four wings emerged from his back. He hovered in the air, his wings thumping soundlessly, and his tail angling itself in the air, "Now, then, I hope you understand I am taking this little spat seriously." He stated, staring each of the pirates in the eye, "Allow me to support you, madam." |

The swordswoman almost let out a small chuckle as she felt her sword connecting with the barrel of another gun. It was been so long she practiced this technique, and finally she was able to pull it off. Céu feeling like she reached a new heaven was smiling while combating the members of Jubuki's crew. Her movements became more clear and sharp, the marine girl body was like released from all the pent up stress for a brief moment. There wasn't a single wasted slash and swing, Céu gentle steps moved with the wind, making her swordplay akin to a dance. Without realizing herself she fell into a state of trance, moving between the pirates as one by one quickly went down. All of her pent up stress, seemingly vanished from her mind. She let herself go as she quickly dispatched most of the mob, with the exception of a group of four a bit further from her. Using her ongoing momentum, the swordswoman fell forward and right before reaching the floor, took a quick glance at the direc-... Huge weird dragonfly? Céu got startled from seeing the weird thing, her full focused stated broke and with it, she felt her legs buckle from the heavy strain they were in. Céu failed to move forward and delivered a well placed headbutt on the floor. Letting out a small shriek in pain, she groggily pulled her body up and watched the weird bug, from the clothing ti would be either Lucius or a monster that ate him and stole his clothes. The monster talked with her with Lucicus voice, so it would pretty much mean it was him using a devil fruit. Céu dragged a bit of her words, she rubbed her forehead which had a new big shade of red. "Suwe, pwease deal with those fow.". Céu got up albeit a bit too slowly and began walking away towards the blonde girl. The swordswoman was almost using her saya of the sword as a cane, moving similar to a tipsy pirate. The marine hurried the pace when she squinted hard and noticed there wasn't anyone peeking behind the door, thinking that she got kidnapped while she fought. |

Chrysoara sat there contemplating his options. He really should go check on Ceu and help her but he was…so…tired. His muscles ached as he tried to stretch them. He was no warrior. That needed to change. Chrysoara needed to truly dedicate himself to his cause. He needed to become a master of Fishman Karate. To that end, he needed a way to learn further techniques. Most small towns in the Grand Line carried some books on Fishman Karate. Sure, most masters made fun of those who practiced out of books but Chrysoara did have some background so he wasn’t going in completely blind. It’s not like he was liable to find a Fishman Karate master within the marines, anyway. Most that he would find would be on Fishman Island or be pirates. Neither of those options seemed to be in the cards for him at the moment. “Miss, can you do me a favor? You said that you own a shop? I would like to purchase some supplies. I know that Ceu went there and delivered a list to you. I hate to reiterate things, but I’m afraid that she has forgotten some stuff. If I tell you some stuff that we need, can you get it for us?” “Sure, though I will have to charge you. I know you guys helped me and all but I’m barely scraping by as is. Giving too much stuff away would be no better than letting those pirates destroy my store. I can give you a discount, though!” The woman said with a smile. Storms, she was cute. That was an odd realization for Chrysoara. He had a fondness for the “bad” women. He generally didn’t fall for the cute and naïve type. Of course, finding someone cute wasn’t the same thing as falling for them. There was just something in her eye. Perhaps it was because she was a merchant, just like him. “I get that. Normally I’d go with and haggle about the price but I don’t think I can do that just now. Do you have paper and a writing utensil?” Chrysoara glanced at the girl and saw her slip a piece of paper and a pencil from somewhere. Chrysoara hadn’t looked quick enough to see where it had come from, but he was interested. He needed to begin hiding a writing utensil and some paper on himself at all times. No telling when it would come in handy. “Good. We need some food. I’m sure Ceu already gave you all the information on the food that we need. We need Iron Bars so we can make a cell on our ship. We need a miniature Den Den Mushi. It would be nice if it was attached to a leather strap so it could be worn as s watch. They only need to be same sea. I doubt you have access to global Den Den Mushi, anyway. We also need a Den Den Mushi communication system to set up on our ship. “ Chrysoara took a breath before continuing. Despite everything he had thought before, voicing that he needed a martial arts book was still embarrassing. He was a Fishman. She probably expected him to already be a master of Fishman Karate. Hell, they all probably expected that of him. “I also need an intermediate level book on Fishman Karate. I doubt you have too many so I’m not too picky about what school the book is. Last, we need a practicing dummy. “ Chrysoara sighed as he pushed himself to his feet. The sigh quickly turned into a groan as his tight muscles ached. He was young, but he certainly didn’t feel like it at the moment. “When you go back, can you let Ceu know that I am heading down to the docks. I’m too tired and hurt to be much use in anything else going on. I can send some people up to get the supplies when they are ready.” “Can do!” The woman said as she sprinted off back the way she had come not too long ago. Chrysoara watched her go for a minute, then turned and faced the way back towards the dock. He trusted that she would get what he needed done. Why he trusted her….well, Chrysoara couldn’t say. She just seemed nice and wasn’t that enough? Chrysoara made his slow way back down to the docks. As he did so, a call came on the small Den Den Mushi that Chrysoara had with him. “Ensign Chrysoara? This is Lieutenant Broge. Come in. Over.” The voice said. Chrysoara’s heart jumped at the voice. He didn’t recognize who it was but it must be the person who was in charge of the prison transport. “This is Ensign Chrysoara. My ID number is 87532486286, over” Chrysoara said. He let the implication hang in the air that he required the id number of the lieutenant in order to continue talking. He was using the enemy’s Den Den Mushi, after-all. “Roger, my ID number is 65403963452, over” Lieutenant Boge spoke calmly but quickly. Chrysoara, of course, did not have access to a list of all the marine ID numbers on him. The number sequence fit in with the sequence used by marines, so it would be a highly sophisticated imposter or it was a real call. “Roger, Sir. What can I do for you? Over” Chrysoara asked as he continued on his way. He had come further than he had thought. Either that, or sitting down had allowed his adrenaline to burn away and he was just more exhausted than he had been on the way up. That was difficult to believe since he was completely exhausted when he had headed up. “The prison transport is about to pull into the dock now. Please be there to greet us and direct us towards the prisoners. We’ll gladly take them off your hands, over.” “Roger, over.” Chrysoara said as he forced himself to pick up his pace. He was so focused on making it to the docks that he barely heard the lieutenant say “out”. That was the signal that the call was over and he wasn’t expecting another response. By decorum, the person initiating the call or the higher rank would end the conversation. Chrysoara had been neither in this situation. The docks came into view just as a large marine ship pulled into the docks. This ship managed to successfully anchor itself without destroying the dock. |

The workers at the dock seemed much more lively, moving quicker than they were before Chrys left, and the last of the line emerged, virtually shining with new energy. They had even went to help the new incoming marine ship with no hesitation, as Jynx stepped out, hearing a commotion outside. She started when she spotted the incoming ship, which seemed rather close to the size of the ship she was currently on. She then scanned the docks and spotted Chrys as he stumbled back, carrying a den den mushi. She spotted the snail-like creature, and climbed down from the ship, wincing slightly as she did so. She approached Chrys, rapidly moving to support him, again wincing slightly at her aching wrists, she had massaged more people today than she usually did in a week, and her hands, though well-trained, still suffered, as a result. "Are you okay? You should rest." She counselled, as she helped him walk. "You've already been through a lot, just leave the rest to your crew." She almost ordered, again displaying surprising authority. Lucius, at first, didn't move very much, as the lady seemed far more capable of handling these pirates, even on her own, and it was much to his chagrin that he managed to momentarily distract her with his own transformation. "Madam, are you alright!?" He yelled, watching her face-plant on the floor. He then nodded, and performed a short bow, mid-air, after hearing her request "Of course, madam. I shall fight them off with the best of my ability." He promised, turning around to face his targets. "You gentlemen have caused that young lady a great deal of stress. Allow me to take her place, for the time being. I hope I can defeat you all as efficiently as she was." He stated, all four of his long arms drawing a sai, his top two arms twirling them between his fingers, with sophisticated expertise. He then crossed his arms, aiming the blades downwards, "out of our way, old man!" one pirate yelled, charging at him with a cutlass, while another aimed his gun. Lucius immediately reacted, taking his lower left arm's sai and sticking it to intersect with the blade's arc, while his right lower arm caught the back of the blade, and Lucius used his body weight to press it into the ground, before stamping off of the flat of the blade, and using his wings and extraordinary balance from his tail to spin and strike the man with the handle of his right sai, knocking him unconscious. He then swiftly ducked the incoming bullet and charged the group of pirates with startling speed and grace, his four wings allowing him to manipulate his body without the restrictions of gravity. |

The swordswoman pushed the door open and after a quick glance, there wasn't any blonde winged merchant hiding away inside. Céu squinted her eyes hard, the blurry vision wasn't the motive, but rather realizing the girl got probably kidnapped. When Céu zoned out in the middle of fighting the pirates, her concerns completely faded away. The harsh reality came quickly shaking her lightly, the marine didn't had any of the supplies she was supposed to buy, let the person who would provide with said supplies get kidnapped, nor had she said anything to Chrysoara. Reality began to shook her even more, bringing her a jolt of pain, forcing her to face it. The blonde winged girl was calling out to her and trying to get her attention, but after a few light nudges and calls, she used a bit more strength to make Céu break off from the frown expression on her face. "It's Céu, right? I already talked with the fishman. He already gave me this new list of things, I will have someone get the supplies for you, they were busy on another dock and were held back and forced to deal with a bunch of that crew pirates making questions too." Céu watched the girl talk, completely unscathed and quite chatty for someone, who was almost robbed and kidnapped. The swordswoman shoulder relaxed and drooped a bit, after watching the girl condition. "You shouldn't have left here, for a few moments I thought the pirates had take you... Yet, what's important it's that your are fine. Yes?" Céu gave a large sigh in relief and smiled after the girl gave a light nod and confirmed her well being. "How is Chrysoara, did he seem fine to you?" "The marine told me he was just tired. He seemed fine, anyway. Are you ok? I saw you stumble here and thought you would fall at any second." Céu wasn't feeling as light headed as before and despite the extreme weariness on her body, she replied similar to her fellow colleague. "I am just a tad tired. Anyway, do you mind if I see what Chrysoara asked?" With the biggest concern out of the way, she had to start dealing with the other. "Not at all! Here! Do you need to add anything to the order?" Céu read it carefully and was noticing more than a few things in there, stuff that wasn't on their immediate concern. The swordswoman made a quick calculations albeit very loosely based and handed out the paper to the girl. "How much will it cost?" They ddin't had much beli to use, so she waited a few seconds as the girl wrote up the number in the paper after doing the math. Showing the paper, the marine couldn't believe it. "Are you sure?" The winged girl chuckled and reassured Céu. "Yes! Oh, he also wanted you to get on the docks." After clarifying a few things with the merchant, about the reason the pirates were after her, and what she talked with Chrys. Céu left her store and gestured Lucius to come with her towards the dock. |

Chrysoara felt the large woman reach underneath his arm and grab him. He resisted – at first – but let the woman support some of his weight as they walked. It really did make things much easier. “I’m just tired.” Chrysoara grumbled as if he were someone three times his age. He was a young adult. He shouldn’t be able to feel this tired. Should he? A man sauntered down the gangway and towards Chrysoara. The man clearly was able to recognize him due to being the only one in a marine uniform. “I can’t let them deal with this. They aren’t marines.” Chrysoara didn’t say anymore on the subject as they walked up to meet the man. Once they had met him halfway, Chrysoara heaved himself out of Jynx’s embrace. He delivered a sharp salute and waited. The man returned the salute and promptly lowered his. Chrysoara followed suit, lowering the salute less than a second later. The art of saluting took practice, but it showed respect if done correctly. Some disliked the formal ways of the marines; however, Chrysoara was not one of them. He loved the discipline. “Ensign Chrysoara, I assume?” Lieutenant Boge spoke in a crisp but clean voice. Every word the man spoke made Chrysoara imagine as if the words were a blade capable of cutting through anything. They were delivered with a sense of finality that brokered no questions. “Yes, Sir!” Chrysoara barked as he settled back into Jynx’s support. He didn’t like to do this, but he had managed to stand for the salutes. That would have to be enough. “Good, are those the prisoners over there?” The commanding officer jabbed his finger towards the Mermaid and Fishman who were tied up. “Yes, Sir!” “I’ll have my men grab them. Good work, Sailor. Who is this and who are those on the ship with you? They do not appear to be marines” The Lieutenant posed the question. Something about his voice made Chrysoara think it was more a demand than a question, though. |

Jynx was also somewhat exhausted from tirelessly working on the slaves and marines, but she was nowhere near Chrys' level of exhaustion, and from his voice alone, she could read just how much he pushed himself, despite his arm. With all this in mind, she couldn't excuse herself to leave him stumbling about, on the verge of passing out. She moved to continue supporting him, as he moved to stand bolt-straight to salute the new marine from the new ship, but backed down, respecting his wish to salute the newcomer. It seems he outranked Chrysoara, with his commanding aura and how Chrys forced himself to bark out his answers but Jynx simply stood, patting her white coat, before leaning down, slightly, to support Chrys as he slouched, again, to rely on her support. She glanced forwards, as it seemed the marine was addressing her, now. "ah... I'm a bounty hunter, I was just passing through when these pirates showed up. I captured the Mermaid, but Chrysoara handled that beast of a fishman, virtually alone. Those men, to my knowledge, were slaves, recently rescued by Chrysoara and his crew. I was not present, so I don't have many details about the event." She reported, calmly, "My name is Soul Shaker Jynx, or Mercede Jynx and I am a masseuse, as well as a bounty hunter, and I have been massaging the men over there, as their tissue was severely strained from continued work." She explained, placing her free hand on her chest, as she introduced herself. "Speaking of, I should take a look at you. You were injured before the fight even began, who knows what new damage occurred while you were in that brawl." She said, to Chrys, eyeing his body for what new wounds were inflicted, during the fight. "...If you don't mind, sir." She caught herself, and assumed she needed to ask both for Chrys' input, and if marine's needed approval for medical treatment like that, maybe this marine would prefer Chrys go to a different, actually credible doctor, which she could understand completely for being a reason for her to do nothing. By the time Céu emerged from the shop, with the supplies, Lucius landed on the ground, as the remaining pirates fled, after watching his omni-directional movement patterns and unpredictable flight paths, and the sheer inhuman nature of said movement proving too much for them, as they left a number of their comrades lying there, in their escape. He landed, folding his arms behind his back and sheathing his sai under his suit, as hie extra pair of arms shrank away, along with his wings, tail and near-360 degree eyes. He returned to a human shape, panting from his exertion, but still maintaining his composed stance as he turned towards Céu, nodding and walking alongside her, "Shall I... help carry your purchases, madam?" He offered, noticeably breathing heavily, but still obviously capable. |

Céu heard the voice of the polite butler nearby as he offered himself to aid carrying her stuff. The swordswoman didn't even realized she was carried some items with her, if it wasn't Lucius calling out to her. "I appreciate your help, Lucius. But you seem to be in worse shape than I." Céu paused still trying to access his other shape, devil fruit users weren't a rare occurrence on this seas, she met a few marine ones from the time of her academy, even a few of her colleges had one ability. "I will be happy with just your company." Her body was still pretty worn out, specially her legs, yet she had already imposed him on fighting those pirates. This man wasn't a marine and already did more than she could ask for. "I am sorry to intrude, is it a dragonfly? It is the first time I see a bug zoan user, so forgive me for my early behavior." Céu stopped in her tracks to give a bow to Lucius. He really did surprise her, it wasn't everyday she saw a huge bug appearing out of nowhere. "Lucius, can we bring up the pace? I need to go meet with Chrys, he's expecting me." The swordswoman politely asked her company to keep up, however she walked faster anyway. Not realizing she was gradually moving faster way before she asked. It didn't took long for them to reach the docks, Céu bolted towards few of the ship crew members, and after they told her several times that they were completely fine. They directed her towards the marine ship docked and Chrysoara. "Chrys are you ok?" The swordwoman ignored what was going around her but noticed Jinx in here, the masseuse large woman, maybe they could know something. "Is he ok? Are you ok?" It was only with an awkward cough that made the girl realize the superior office in from of them. Céu gave a quick glance and after a double take, straighten herself up, even if wincing a little and gave a sharp salute. "I am Ensign, Céu Violante! Currently without a division, Sir!" |

“A masseuse, eh? You can look over Chrys but after that he has somewhere to be.” Lieutenant Boge said calmly. Chrys eyed him inconspicuously. Where did he have to be? That seemed very strange. His plan was to meet up with marines at Nemea, though he hadn’t expected to do so before he made it to a base. Perhaps he had orders that would separate him from Ceu. Chrys felt a stab of pain at that. He had grown quite attached to Ceu in their short time together. Not romantically, but as friends or perhaps more. They were both marines and they had served in combat together. They were family. “I’m okay, Ceu.” Chrys said eyeing the swordswoman. How hurt was she? Chrysoara didn’t see very many obvious wounds, but he was tired and could have missed some. Chrysoara barely held back an exhausted chuckle as Ceu finally noticed the Lieutenant. Watching the man for any signs of anger, Chrysoara was relieved as he returned Ceu’s salute. “Relax, you two. You’ve been through an ordeal. I know who you are. We don’t have a permanent Division for you to join but I was given orders for you whenever we realized you were on the island. I don’t know who you are friends with, but they asked for you on Nemea by name. It seems you were already headed that way, though. Chrysoara Fusce, you are to head to Cactus Island. We’ve heard reports of some strange disappearances on the island and need someone to look into it. I would send someone else, but we’ve had some trouble with a certain pirate crew in these parts and can’t spare anyone who is already integrated onto a ship. We’ll take you part of the way on our boat and then get you on a requisitioned ship. Ensign Violante, you are free to take your ship on to Nemea. Take the slaves with you, if they wish to come. We will see who among them has what it takes to become Marines and enlist them if they do. Mercedes Jynx, you are welcome to join her as well. The Marines are always looking for powerful individuals to join our ranks. Of course, you may work with us as a Bounty Hunter. Not all marines may be pleasant to you, but most on Nemea should find your presence welcoming so long as you don’t venture into any restricted areas. I would welcome your help in looking over these two with whatever skills you have before they head off, though they do need to leave shortly.” Chrysoara’s body relaxed slightly as he listened to the speech, but that didn’t last very long. He was right. He was being separated from Ceu. At that news, his muscles tightened once again. The pain inside grew a little more as he thought about adventuring around on Cactus Island without Ceu. He didn’t sigh. He wouldn’t. He really wanted to sigh. Instead, Chrysoara’s military training came in handy. “Sir, I would like to request a transfer to Nemea from Cactus Island.” Chrysoara said briskly. He knew the transfer process. It required the signature of a superior officer and would have to go through some steps. Ultimately, it could take up to a month for the process to be confirmed or denied. Chances were he would have to head to Cactus Island in the meantime and then head off to Nemea from there if the transfer was approved. “Sorry, Fusce. I’m a superior officer but I’m not your superior officer. I’m just relaying orders. Your superior will meet you on Cactus Island. Her name is Commander Scarlett. She’s an interesting one, from what the reports say. I’ve never met her personally.” The Lieutenant seemed to relax a little bit after he gave his spiel. Chrysoara looked closely before his eyes opened wide in realization. He wasn’t trying to be demanding. He was nervous about delivering all of those orders without messing anything up! That made some sense and allowed Chrysoara to not be as mad at the Lieutenant. He was just delivering what the higher ups have told him. “Ceu, Jynx….it looks like this is the end of our trip together for now. I’ll put in a request to transfer duty stations as soon as I arrive on Cactus Island. Hopefully we’ll see each other again…” Chrysoara finally let out the sigh – though he did sneak a glance at the lieutenant to check and see if he would get a reprimand for the sigh. He didn’t. “I don’t think I need to be checked up on, Jynx. Thanks, though. I think…I think I’m going to get going to Cactus Island. The sooner I get there the sooner I can put in that transfer request. You two be safe while I’m gone.” With that, Chrysoara made his slow walk up the gangway towards the ship. It was a large vessel and one he wasn’t sure he could handle on his own. Thankfully, he didn’t have to. There was an entire crew of marines on the ship to handle everything for him. Chrysoara headed over to the side and looked down on his companions. He flashed them a sad smile and waved. He would miss his two friends, that much was certain. However, his mind was moving on to his next mission. Likely this Commander Scarlett wouldn’t approve his transfer before he finished the mission. Disappearances on Cactus Island? He didn’t know very much about Cactus Island. It was filled with Priests, that much he knew. He didn’t think very much trade went on at the island. What could be going on an island filled with priests? One would think that priests would discourage the kind of behavior that would require a marine presence. He sighed. This had been a long mission, but it was finally time to move on. Could he prove himself to this new commander? If so, would she approve his transfer or hold on to him even tighter? Lucius shook his head, gently, to Céu's concern, "nonsense, madam, a scuffle like that was... no issue." He insisted, but he stood up straight, once more, "But if you insist." He nodded, at Céu's assessment, "Indeed, I have eaten a devil fruit that allows me to take the shape of a dragonfly, and it is I who should apologize, I should have warned you about my ability beforehand, you wouldn't have hurt yourself otherwise, amusing as that was." He explained, chuckling at his light joke, before Céu requested they sped up, "Very well, I shall go and fetch me and Mrs. Mercede's luggage, if you'll excuse me." He bowed, before he shrank before her eyes, and with a faint thrumming of her four wings, a normal-sized dragonfly wearing a sharp suit flew back towards the direction where the lodge was. From the sound of it, Jynx hit right on the money, so her asking permission seemed to be the correct choice in this matter, but the choice really only lay in Chrys, if he wanted a massage, she couldn't see an excuse for someone else to decide something as trivial as that. Hopefully the navy wasn't exactly as overbearing as she was imagining and she was just overthinking that simple response. She then nodded at Céu's approach, acknowledging her presence, and then spotted Lucius, who was dragging a small number of rather large cases with their belongings inside. "We're fine, Chrys is just very tired, unfortunately." She explained to Céu, calmly. From the sound of it, Chrys was intending to go somewhere else, leaving the other alone with their marines and freed slaves, but she did also get an invitation to go with her, and she saw no reason to leave Céu on her own, in fact, Lucius seemed to have taken a liking to her, and he's an excellent judge of character, Jynx knew. Alright, she was going to go with Céu, especially since their ship is so much larger than her own, and it would be nice to have her own room, for privacy alone. She eyed Chrys, with a raised brow, as he again refused her services, why was he so stubborn about this? Well, it's not like she could change his choice, it was clear he made up his mind, as he departed on the other ship. His departing words struck her, as he told them to be safe, an almost odd thing to say, had they not their professions, but it was all still as if, even though they had just met, he considered them friends, just like that. Somewhat of a bizarre sentiment, since they hardly knew each other, but it was still abundantly clear that she would have to step up her abilities if she was really going to be travelling with this marines, especially if they were going to be investigating a missing persons case. She yelled up, to Chrys, "I don't care what kinda training you go through. Try to relax every now and then, okay?" She almost ordered, with her arms crossed and her stern tone echoing up to him, before she was certain he was out of earshot, of even her own yells. She turned towards Céu, "Well, I guess it's just the three of us, for now." She pointed out, turning her gaze towards Lucius, for a moment, before returning her gaze to Céu, "Hopefully we can be some assistance." She laughed, nervously, bringing one of her hands to the back of her neck, as she chuckled. "Oh! You should show Luciano the kitchen!" She realized, turning eagerly towards Céu. Lucius nodded, "Of course, I need to familiarize myself with the utensils I will be working with, as well as clean the ones I have been using until now." He bowed, elegantly stating his approval of such an idea, "However, I believe we should prioritize some rest, especially for you, madam." He gestured calmly towards Céu, "You were put through quite the ordeal." And with that, Jynx stooped down, picking up the largest of the boxes of the two's luggage, and stepped onto the ship, followed by Lucius, who carried his case behind him. The swordsman stood at attention as the superior began to give out orders. She was glad everyone was ok, even if a good amount of weariness was visible on their faces. Chrysoara arm seemed to be injured once again, she wanted to know why and how. Despite pretty much have an idea fort he cause of his wound. She had a scuffle with Jubuki and a bunch of his men , and if the pirate ship close by said something was that it was the crab fishman ship. The jolly roger black flag was waving to the soft breeze on top of the mast, with the same symbol the pirates were using on their skin and clothes. Céu was distracted due to her mind racing, she only began to hear her superior after he caught her attention with Chrys name. They were ordered to split and she couldn't understand the logic behind it. They weren't supposed to be working together, circumstances had brought the fishman to her, and the two of them, did accomplished their previous mission. After a long adventure together and a journey at sea, Céu had grown accustomed to have Chrysoara around. The swordswoman didn't knew half the time, if what she was doing was correct, even if the fishman didn't say much or agreed mostly with her. Céu was left speechless trying to process the information given, Chrysoara was leaving her side and with it, a piece of her chest was being pulled apart. The jellyfish fishman was already moving outside their sight when she finally reacted. Opening her mouth she tried to shout for him, but her voice cracked immediately without letting out any sound. Céu was facing down, her bangs covering her eyes while her legs were jittering. A couple of familiar voices snapped her back into reality. Lucius was addressing her and the masseuse was already getting inside the ship. "What's my mission on Nemea, sir?" Céu still composed asked the lieutenant, having missed the start of the conversation. "You are to met someone, I do not have the specifics. The former slaves if deciding to join could also become official on Nemea. I suggest you to hurry as there was a sign of urgency on this orders." Changing farewells and a salute, the Lieutenant left the scene. Céu was about to get on the ship as Mary if she wasn't mistaken came about with a couple of hands transporting food supplies along with heavy metal bars, but it wasn't only that, Jubuki and his goons were also being carried here. Something she totally forgot after the news of Chrysoara departure shook her core, not only she completely missed mentioning Jubuki but also Bag's body. In a hurry she went for Mary's den den and with a polite bow and a quick sorry removed it from her hand. Luckily for her the lieutenant for some weird reason gave his personal number, something about congratulating her and having a dinner. She outright refused him, the mission on Salt was a mess, and she didn't deserve such thing. The marine was quite sad, which was a bit weird because she actually saved him money and time. "Lieutenant! Are you there?" The swordswoman hopefully tried to caught him, and surprisingly the marine quickly picked up the call, even if it took a bit too respond. "We have a pirate here along with part of his crew, they belong to the same crew of the pirate ship nearby." The lieutenant quickly came and took of the pirates off the working men, along with Baga's body. The two most urgent issues were resolved, the crew had more than enough food, and she was free from Baga's corpse. Despite her overall improved mood, she still refused once again the lieutenant advance. After Mary small crew finished loading the ship, Céu paid for her services and Mary even gave out her den den saying it was a thanks for helping her, before leaving the dock. With everything in order but still missing and vital piece with her, Céu confidently gave out orders and set the course of the ship towards the next island. |
