Chrysoara watched as a strange man in a suit with extremely long arms approached him. No one else appeared to be stopping to direct them to a nearby doctor for Ceu, so Chrys listened to what the man had to say. “Whatever you can do to help her” Chrysoara said, pointedly ignoring the part about his arm. It had been looked at once before, so surely it was healing fine. It had only been four days, so it wasn’t completely better but it was getting there. He was more concerned about Ceu at the moment. Chrys watched the suit man disappear into the crowd after asking them to wait. So, he did. He didn’t bother calling for a doctor at this juncture. It seemed as if the citizens weren’t going to respond to his pleas other than that man. He just had to hope the man was going to come back and that it wasn’t some elaborate practical joke that the people of this island played on foreigners. He knew very little of the island other than what it was famous for exporting. It didn’t take very long before the large woman appeared out of nowhere. Up close, she was easily much taller than Chrysoara. It was a strange feeling to look up at someone. As she talked, Chrysoara realized she was as strange, or even stranger than, the suited man. “Hey, whatever we do…I need you to treat her. My arm is okay, honest. Just ignore it.” Chrysoara said as he began to drag Ceu with his one good hand. He was moving rather slowly, so he decided that he had to be a little rude and/or presumptuous towards these two strange doctors. “Could one of you help me carry her? I don’t need help with my arm but it isn’t exactly in a state where I can carry her too easily.” |

"Don't fall behind, everyone," The butler warned, as he held his arms behind himself, gently holding his wrist, as his arms dangled, past past his back, and around his glutes, making them sway much more as he walked, than a usual person. The girl, however, stared at the guy as he spoke about his arm, "Well, if it was a pro looking at it, I guess there's not much I can do to help." She shrugged, before hearing the fishman's request, "Oh! Of course!" she almost lunged towards him, as she grabbed Céu's arm, and started supporting the girl. While she did this, and they started walking, again, she started touching the girl's arm, feeling her pulse, then her head, before just lowering her head, and listening to her torso, she remained silent, as she kept checking various points on her body, as well as just poking her in the face, sometimes, to check her physical reactions. By the time they reached their motel room, she had stopped her on-the-go examination, She glanced around, "Nice job, Lucius! This place is great!" She complimented the man, who just bowed, in response. There were only two beds, in the cramped apartment, where if it weren't for the fact she was already crouching down, a little, she would have banged her head against the frame of the door, while Chrysoara could walk in, almost scraping the frame with his head, but otherwise able to walk in normally. The place itself was... unimpressive, a window staring straight at another building, that one having no windows to see, so it was only a brick wall. The Long-Arm butler stood up straight, "I shall prepare a filling and nutritious meal for our guests." He stated, walking a few feet, reaching the stove-top in virtually an instant. Despite the short distance, he moved a bit too quickly, but it may have been a trick of the eye. Regardless, he reached into one of the bags on the counter, "Is it alright if I use the bear meat, ma'am?" he asked, not turning around, but stopping his movement, as he awaited an answer, "Yeah, go ahead, our guests must be hungry, after all." She answered, passively, as she guided Céu to her bed, and lay her down. "You should take a seat, Sir, try the other bed, you can tell me how comfortable it is." She said, before sitting up, tapping her head, with her knuckle, as if she had forgotten something, "Oh, that's right! Where's my manners, My name is Mercede Jynx, but just call me Jynx, no need to be formal!" She stated, obviously trying her best to talk casually, but her success was debatable, at best. Meanwhile, the stove top lit up, a pair of knives were drawn, and set next to the man, and a pot was set in the sink, before the water was turned on, seemingly all at once, the man's long arms allowed easy accessibility to virtually the entire counter-top, without having to move at all, and his arms weaved through the air, his red gloves flowing as though he was conducting a concert of food. He poured some liquid into the pot, as well as the water, before chopping could be heard, for a moment, before he set aside a cutting board, covered in tiny squares of meat, as he moved, "Hm, bear meat is too dense to eat without softening, so I will have to make a stew, the simmering broth from a previous chicken meal which was diluted from the water, but shouldn't detract from the overall nutrient intake will soften the meat, and the residual fat will melt off of the meat, and rise to the surface, Now, I shall add some herbs and spices, to add some flavor to distract the mind from the watered down broth, which should also have the flavor of bear instilled into it." He spoke, as he cooked, as if he was on some cooking show, grabbed a large scooping utensil, and filled a few bowls with the soup. "And here we go, apologies for it's bare-bones nature, but we are somewhat constrained on resources." He bowed, graciously, as he set one next to Ceu, and handed one to Chrysoara. He then got some glasses of water, "and of course some refreshment." Edited by DracNosferatu, Apr 24 2018, 11:13 AM.

The pleasing feeling came into an halt, as Céu began to open her eyes slowly. She didn't realize what had just happened and was now trying to access what was going around her. Watching the scene, the brunette blinked twice. There was a tall butler not to far from her, his arms had an extra joint in them and he moved with a mechanical precision, which made Céu wondered if he was a robot. Her sight was still a bit hazy but she could discern her surroundings. However what kicked her awake was the nice smell coming from the long armed fellow, she almost began to salivate all over just from the meaty fragrance assaulting her olfactory sense. The marine picked up the food and began assaulting it with the ferocity of a starved beast. Someone of her stature or usual demeanor wasn't expected to act in that way, but Céu was a street kid before coming into the marines, and despite her composure, some of her early days came through. Céu didn't made any mess, but the speed she was gulping it down could put to shame even her fishman friend. The swordswoman eyes began grow big and get watery, it was good, too good, maybe it was the few days she was without food that was influencing her. Even while busy munching her food, Céu turned to her left and saw the big fishman near her. "Chrys- Why- am- I- ere" Between each word the swordswoman took the spoon to her mouth. The other two were looking at her, which cause her to flinch for a bit and avoid their gaze. "I- m- Céu-" She got up promptly and bowed even if she didn't put down her soup bowl. "The- crew- is- starving-" She said turning once again to her translucent friend, putting the bowl down on the sink, she bowed to the tall man and thanked him from the food. "I am sorry for delaying us! Did you had someone observe your arm, Chrys?" Céu after a full bowl of soup was prompt and ready to get on her way, but if she took into account the good food she had just received, this place was probably on the costly side. Focusing towards the rather large woman, which for some reason gave off the feeling of being the one in charge, Céu addressed her courteously. "Ma'am, how much is for the food, care and accommodations? And more importantly thank you for coming for our aid. We appreciate your help." Céu felt like she already had the rest needed, they needed to get on their way and bring provisions to everyone on the ship, but not before the large fishman got at least looked at. The large muscular women was wearing a long white coat akin to a doctor, so maybe she could tell if Chrys was already healed. |

Chrysoara grunted as some of the weight of Ceu was lifted off him. This woman was strong. That made sense considering her massive size. They led Chrysoara and Ceu into a small room. It wasn’t the best and made Chrys doubt whether he made the right choice by trusting these two to take care of Ceu. They seemed nice, but perhaps it was a ploy to take advantage of two injured people. Chrysoara listened to the woman named Jynx and sat down on the other bed. It wasn’t the most comfortable bed but it beat the sleeping arrangements on the ship. The ship had been stripped so it didn’t exactly have the best bedding for them at night. Chrysoara’s back was still a little sore from the long nights on the floor of the ship. The smells of the cooking began to waft over to Chrysoara, prompting his stomach to gurgle and growl. He hadn’t been starving himself as Ceu – evidently – had been; however, he was quite hungry after multiple days on rations. Chrysoara began to eat the bowl of soup as the butler (well, that’s what Chrysoara had been able to figure out he was so far) sat it down. Chrysoara was momentarily distracted by the startling contrast between these two and their statements and actions. If he was truly a butler, why could they not afford better lodging? If they were poor, why did he wear a suit and why didn’t they mention charging for the health care that she was going to provide to Ceu? It all seemed so contradictory to Chrysoara. Chrys’ eyes darted over to Ceu, who was devouring the food at an extremely rapid pace. It was quite unladylike, and quite unlike Ceu. Chrysoara gave a small chuckle before turning to his hostess. “It’s nice to meet you, Jynx. I’m Chrysoara Fusce but you can call my Chrys. As for why we are here, Ceu? We are here because you have been ignoring taking care of yourself. The crew is getting by alright for now, just as I was. We will buy our supplies, including food, and get back to the ship for them In due time. They’re probably still working on that dock, anyway.” Chrys pointedly ignored the question regarding his arm. It was feeling far better than it had when they left Salt Island. He felt it didn’t need looked at, and besides, it would only slow them down further. Chrysoara was eager to purchase supplies. “Do either of you know where we could purchase…let’s see. I think we need food, metal bars, some furniture, a Den-Den Mushi for the ship, and probably a personal one for myself, as well.. Yeah, that should do it.” |

Lucius chuckled softly, watching Céu devour her food, "Well, I don't think it's simplicity is an issue here, I am honored you enjoyed it so." He bowed, courteously, "Ma'am, would you like some?" He asked, turning towards the large young lady, who shook her head, "No, thank you, we should save it for later, when I do get hungry, you made that from the chicken broth, right? We ate that a little while ago, before we saw the island, so I'm not that hungry, store it for later, please." She requested, calmly, before hearing Céu's question about prices and accommodations, she frowned, and seemed to think for a few moments, before she tapped her forehead, resolutely, "You two are guests, I'm treating you to some food, like a good host." She said, seemingly to herself, as justification for giving them food. "And I can take a look at that arm of yours, if you'd like, but either way, you shouldn't handle directly physical labor, with only one arm. If you keep stressing that working arm of yours, you'll strain your muscles, and you'll and up in constant flux between singular working arms, you might even need some of those weird cyborg enhancements, eventually." She cautioned. Lucius tried to answer their questions, "I'm frightfully sorry, madam, We are not native to this island, but there is indeed a small square down that road, where I purchased some rations, but I don't know where to find material goods like that, I'm afraid," He apologized, putting a hand to his chin, despite his nature as a seeming butler, he seemed incredibly casual. "Hey, Lucius, maybe you can go into town and find some stuff like what they're saying." Jynx suggested, "Exactly what I was thinking, ma'am," Lucius agreed, it seemed he referred to other women as Madam, while he referred to his mistress as Ma'am, not really important, but something noticeable in his behavior. He stepped towards the window, pushing it open, before stepping onto the frame, holding his balance on the sides of the windowsill, before he jumped out of the building, with a cheery "Off I go!" the moment he left the group's line of sight, with the window, he seemingly vanished, into the small crowd below, and the birds and bugs throughout the area. "Now, then, you two must have had some journey, huh? Maybe I can help you unwind a little bit, see, We aren't a restaurant, actually, we're bounty hunters, and, more importantly, a massage service." She explained, flexing her fingers, outwards, leading to audible cracks and pops, "If either of you feel tense, lie down, and let me relieve your muscles, she said, accidentally sounding intimidating, as she approached the two, brandishing her knuckles, and with a scary look in her eyes. "After all, I am known as Soul Shaker Jynx, from rumors that I can reach the soul of whoever I strike, through their pressure points." she explained, a bit too casually. Céu looked away from Chrysoara after his reply to her question, he was right but she was a small girl compared to most of the crew, she didn't need as much food as Chrysoara and the former slaves needed. She gave an awkward and nervous chuckle and tried to pay no importance to it "I-I was just trying a diet, it wasn't because we didn't had any food, n-not at all." The swordswoman had already proved herself to be quite the reliable actor in their previous adventure, little did his fellow colleague know that she wasn't the best of liars. "We need to bring them food! And you guys were definitely not alright! We didn't free those people just so they could suffer from hunger!" Céu was becoming tired of pointing the same issue, but she promised to deliver food for the ones working back at the dock so Chrys would have to deal with it. "Ma'am, I appreciate your help, it's very kind of you." Céu bowed to the large muscular woman in front of her. She was commenting over the condition of the fishman arm, as the tall butler informed them of his little knowledge about this island market. "Chrys, you should have your arm checked. I will acompa-" The swordswoman went for the door to join the butler, yet the tall man went on the opposite direction opening a window and hop off it. "Who in th-" The marine quickly reached the window and peeked over it, watching what was going bellow trying to see where was the good cook, but he was already gone. "Is something wrong with the door?" She thought out loud taken the ma just went and jumped off a window for no apparent reason. The girl wondered if she got carried inside through the same exit, yet she was interrupted after hearing Ma'am Jinx taking. "A m-massage service? Aren't you a doctor?" The muscular masseuse began to move in a quite menacing manner, quite strange taken the ones Céu knew attempted to be docile like an animal when they had costumers. "Oh Chrys, where did you bring me to?" Her voice couldn't hide the disappointment she was currently feeling at the moment towards the fishman marine. However, she understood that these people were probably the first to come to their aid. "I will pass... But perhaps Chrysoara is in need of someone reaching for his soul or something... I am going to go find the market and leave you two alone..." Chrysoara is a man or rather fishman, she noticed how he looked at Sasa Dion, it would be best if she wasn't here. The girl with her face already beet red slowly approached the window and jumped down making the same quick exit as the butler. |

“Bounty Hunters?” Chrysoara replied as he sat there. He saw Ceu turn beet red and mutter about where he took her. She sounded…disappointed? These people just saved her life. Why in the world would she be disappointed that Chrys brought her to them? Next thing he knew, Ceu jumped out the window before he was able to ask her what that was all about. “Well, Jynx. I hate to deny your services; however, we do have many men and women at the docks who could use your services. They are tired, sore, and have injuries from the slave rebellion we led.” Chrys said, though he was more wary around the woman, now. Bounty Hunters fell into two categories. Those who sought justice and those who sought money. Chrys wasn’t sure how he felt about either of them. After-all, if one truly sought justice wouldn’t they just join the Marines? The red tape was a hassle but it was there for a reason. Bounty Hunters tended to be too reckless. Regardless, if this woman could help those back on the ship then they should let her. Chrys stood up, pushing off the bed with his one good arm. “Don’t worry, I won’t do too much physical labor. I can handle everything else. I do so worry that Ceu will end up buying the wrong stuff….well, I can always go back out for shopping to get anything that she forgets.” Chrys walked towards the door but stopped to look at the giantess behind him. “If you are Bounty Hunters, does that mean there is a pirate on this island? Someone that we should be wary of?” Chrys silently cursed himself. He wanted to have the jail cell built on the ship before encountering any pirates. That way they wouldn’t need to call in for a prisoner transport. Meanwhile, on the Docks A large ship began to pull towards the island. The dark pirate Mast bore a symbol of a skull with tentacles coming out of it. Three figures stood on the deck, looking out over the water and towards the island. The first one was a crab-like Fishman with eight arms. He had four swords on each side of his waist. The one directly next to him was far larger. The massive Fishman resembled a Whale Shark and stood at least twelve feet tall. His muscles were toned and his body looked as if it contained no fat whatsoever. The third person on the deck was a petite Mermaid. Her fin was split into two, allowing her to walk on land easily. “The map is supposed to be somewhere on this island?” The eight armed Fishman said. The mermaid spoke up. “Yes, sources say that it is some kind of family heirloom…” The mermaid said with a smile on her face. Meanwhile, in town A young woman with short blonde hair that fell just past her chin smiled as she took the money from the customer in front of her. Her shop was a general store and had lots of random items. A shop like that might not normally do well in a small town, as people would favor more specialty stores, but her family had owned it for generations and everyone knew and trusted them. They didn’t even stare at the small white wings on her back. |

She frowned, at Ceu's statement, she had learned from her sensei that diets were only for self-righteous idiots who didn't understand the value of food, and this girl didn't seem to behave at all like one who would take such a strict diet, she put her hands on her hips, "Well, starving yourself to the point of a loss of consciousnesses isn't something I'd call a reliable way to lose weight, besides, if you're a marine, how do you plan on fighting without energy?" She asked, pressuring the girl a bit, before catching herself and backing off, "excuse me, I got carried away." The swords-woman insisted on her comrade get his arm checked, but he continued to vehemently protest, well, if it's already been looked at, no real reason for her to look at it. She felt mildly obligated to explain her butler's choice of departing, "He's always preferred the quicker routes, don't mind him." she apologized, bowing slightly. "Well, I never said I wasn't a doctor, see, I massage points on a person's body, that induce reactions within one's body, so I can do things to accelerate the repair of one's body, but if there's broken bones, I'll have to treat those the normal way-Oh, she's gone." She started to explain her profession eagerly, as the girl asked, but she just muttered some stuff to herself and left. Was she really that boring? Perhaps she needed to think of a more concise way of explaining her abilities. She placed a hand on her chin, at Chrys's question on any pirates in the area. "None come to mind... We haven't exactly been able to find any notable criminals, we were just planning on stopping by this island to pick up some rations." she explained, before snapping her fingers, as she realized, "That's right! You're a marine, and there are more, back at that boat of yours!" she recalled, a cheerful expression on her face, before she froze, shivering, a cold sweat washing over her expression, and her eyes bulging, as her pupils dilated, almost frightened, before she threw herself on her knees, in front of Chrys, slamming her head against the ground, creating a dent in the wooden floorboards, in a sign of sincere apology, "How utterly foolish of me! I didn't even consider the well-being of your crew, who must mean so much to you! Please, allow me to treat your men, as a sign of apology!" She pleaded, looking bizarrely pathetic for her size and her well-toned body. Meanwhile, hundreds of eyes investigated the woman at the storefront, before departing. After a few minutes alone, Ceu may hear a familiar, composed voice, "Ah, madam, I believe you would be interested to hear that I have located a general goods store, and if I may, I can also guide you to that food pavilion I mentioned earlier," Lucius offered, seeming to materialize out of the crowd, in an instant, despite how thin the numbers were, it was as if he had somehow teleported behind her. He was holding a small jar, with an insect inside, and with a cap with holes poked into it. It was apparent he wasn't going to mention it, unless asked, as he placed it into one of the inner sleeves of his suit. Despite his age, he held a sense of professional danger to him, and it was easy to tell he had killed a man before, at some point in his life, with his composure out in the open showing dignified pride. "Please excuse my sudden departure, I wished to hurry along with this matter, as you seemed to be in a hurried need of knowledge about the subject of supplies." Céu walked between the busy streets, wondering where the markets were located. It couldn't leave her mind, on the particular choice of location Chrysoara took her to be treated. The marine eyes did wandered on the body of the latest criminal they encountered with, she just didn't know he felt the need to go into a massage parlor. Even if the fishman didn't seem to be the type to frequent those places... The swordswoman shook her head in denial, perhaps she was overthinking and got flustered out of nothing, but the actions of the woman seemed of someone with experience like the ladies back at her hometown. The marine girl was having trouble finding her away, most of the building around were made of brick, she was no carpenter but their design and craftsman work seemed to be quite sub par. She had already walked for a few streets but there wasn't a shop in sight, only the occasional wooden carts filled with Burdum passed by. She thought about picking a bunch, that is if there's enough money left after they buy the supplies needed for the ship. Despite knowing the full extent of the ore, she saw it once at best but never got to work on it. The ore was specially produced in a single island, it didn't come to her mind she was actually in that island. A lot of things were getting her full attention, seeking rare minerals to remake her weapon was on the end of that list. Céu was focused on finding the stores, paying really close attention to the buildings she passed by. So when someone spoke behind her and out of nowhere it took her completely by surprise. Letting out a gasp, Céu instinctively went for the hilt of her wakizashi and jumped back ready to cut the knee of her attacker. Noticing who it was, she misplaced her step, stumbling backwards and falling on her behind."Yes, yes, I appreciate your offer. I advise next time to use a different approach, people don't enjoy being greeted from their back, specially with someone holding a bug on their hands."The butter gave of a similar scent of a few people Céu already encountered, her whole reaction was mostly due to her training kicking in. As much friendly and good cook this man was, she started to become wary of his movements. "Thank you for everything until now, I will take on your offer, please show me the way. I will follow you close behind." Her hand rested on her short blade unconsciously, as Céu let the butter lead her towards the general store and the food pavilion. They didn't take much time reaching there, the stores were conveniently rather close by to each other. Moving towards the clerk of the food one, Céu politely requested his small notepad and pen. Quickly writing the amount of food she calculated it would be needed, she even put a little extra so even if something unexpected happens they will not run out of food."How much will this cost?" She handed it back to the vendor wondering if the price wouldn't be too high. Edited by TechnoVash, Jan 31 2018, 08:05 PM.

Chrysoara jumped backward and bumped into the wall, banging his head in the process, as the woman prostrated herself with fear in her eyes. She seemed to cower before him. Did she think that Chrysoara was just an angry fishman who wouldn’t appreciate the help he had already been given? She didn’t need to apologize in the slightest. Heck, he appreciated the offer and had been hoping she would be willing to treat them but this all seemed….weird. “I…I don’t think you need to apologize.” Chrysoara began, unsure how to approach the situation. He didn’t want her thinking that he was just the stereotypical angry fishman. Chrys had rarely seen a fishman who was like that. “But, I appreciate the offer. I’m sure that the men and women would appreciate your skills. They’ve had a rough time of things lately. “ Chrysoara regained his posture and began to walk towards the door but stopped before he made it outside. “I can tell you our story, if it helps with knowing how to treat them and what might be going on with their bodies. We have a large number of ex-slaves. Not even a week ago Ceu and I freed them from their bonds on Salt Island. Their muscles were disused and they were malnourished. Some, but not many, were still in good shape. I imagine those ones were slaves for a shorter amount of time. After we freed them, we made a quick escape off the island. The harsh life of a sailor the past few days has been kind to some of them but not as kind to others. We had very little food, as you could tell from Ceu’s weakness earlier, and I doubt that helped the state of their bodies. As far as I know, most of them aren’t actually injured but many likely have knots in their muscles and difficulty moving due to the poor care and the harsh work.” At that, Chrysoara exited the building with the intent to go back to the docks where the crew would be fixing the dock that they crashed into on their arrival. The Shop “Hmm? This won’t be too much.” The winged woman said with a smile as she wrote down a number on the paper and passed it back to Ceu. “We have more than just food here, if you would like to pick up some other supplies?” She was a cheerful woman and stopped to wave at a customer who had just entered. Her wings fluttered slightly and her face turned red. If Ceu turned, she would see that it was a very handsome local male. Embarrassed by her reaction, the woman promptly turned away, revealing her wings in their full glory. “Please tell me you didn’t see anything” She would whisper quietly. She didn’t want anyone knowing that she had a crush on the man. Though, little did she know that the entire town already knew. |

Upon hearing his assent, she was on her feet, in a moment, "Alright, I won't disappoint!" She declared, spiritedly a red, steaming mark already appearing on her forehead, where she slammed into the floor. She switched out of this behavior as soon as Chrys started describing just what she was dealing with. "I would imagine they have some bad forms. You did mention these slaves before, didn't you? Well, I guess it doesn't matter. Let's go." She concluded, more to herself, but with impressive confidence. When the two reached the docks, she frowned, looking at the people. They all looked like they were in bad shape. She turned to Chrys, "Sorry to trouble you, but I need a tent pitched, for their privacy, and a platform within they can lie on while I work on them.” She requested, impeccably formally, as she stared at them, “I can’t very well treat them in the daylight, if we want this to be relaxing for them.” she explained, as she watched the former slaves walking around. “Hey, if you don’t mind me asking, who did they “serve”?” She asked, curious as to who would own slaves, as she hadn’t really heard of something so drastic, back where she came from. Lucius raised his arms, partially in defense, and mainly to emphasize he had no intention of fighting. “Of course, madam, my apologies, you were just so occupied with finding the stores I wasn’t sure if you would have heard me if I spoke, apologies for assuming.” He bowed, slightly, as he turned, to lead the way. He walked, his composure absolute as he glanced around, accurately recalling the buildings along the way to their destination. He muttered silently to himself as he walked, “If I recall correctly… Ah! Here we are!” he proclaimed, turning towards Ceu, “This is the square I spoke of earlier, madam, the food vendor is there.” He said, seemingly unnecessarily, as Ceu was already purchasing rations. Meanwhile, he examined the sketch he made of the fly he had captured, during the walk. Satisfied with his work, he tucked the bottle under his arm as he folded up his sketch and placed it within another inner pocket, of his suit, before he opened the jar, prompting the fly to buzz around, for a few moments, before finding the exit and flying off. Seeing The vendor change her behavior as the newcomer arrived made him chuckle, and mutter under his breath, "Oh, that's precious..." Edited by DracNosferatu, Feb 2 2018, 09:38 PM.

Céu received the paper with the cost of the expenses on it, she read the number and was quite glad the money they had was more than enough to cover for the food. Even if it seemed a bit pricey for the swordswoman, she wasn't used to buy food in large quantities nor had any experience with merchants. It would be best just to accept the price given to her, taken there's a bunch of people hungry and waiting to get some food on their mouths, she shouldn't waste a lot of time trying to get the price down. "Uh, Ok, I can cover this..." The marine priority was covered as she was more concerned about dealing with the food, the rest was to deal with it later but with this opportunity she could take a lot of things off her mind. "Yes, could you give us a a discount? We need a lot of supplies! A set of spare sails! Ropes! Medicine! Do you have a den den mushi? We are desperately in need of contacting someone!" Céu started to unload the mental list she made, the ship was bare bones so a lot of stuff was needed, not to mention the fact they needed to dispose of the Body of the pirate they caught. The swordsman continued on, but the girl in front of her didn't seem to be paying attention, and was rather focused on what was going behind. Céu turned to see what was the problem and only saw a man waving back. "I am sorry but I am quite in an hurry. I find it lovely your boyfriend came to see you, but there's a bunch of people counting on me." The blonde girl was acting embarrassed which made Céu wonder why after the little scene they both did. Most of the people around watched and payed almost no importance to it. She was most interested on the wings on her back, one of her old colleagues from the academy had ones too, maybe that was the reason for her actions. "No need to be ashamed of those wings, they are cute." Céu nodded as if she was trying to input some confidence in winged girl. "Now, can we resume with our exchange?" |

Chrysoara followed after the large woman and thought about what she had said. Bad form? What did she mean by that? Was that something about the way they worked. Some of them were decently built and all had done a lot of labor in the past. Surely they knew how to work hard. As he ran, he noticed a few people laughing as they walked by them. In the midst of them was a large fishman with eight arms. Who was that? He didn’t run into very many of his kind. He almost wanted to stop to chat but the woman was running ahead of him and he didn’t want to be left behind. After arriving at the docks, Chrysoara immediately registered the pirate ship docked nearby. The flag…he didn’t know it but it was definitely a pirate’s flag. A crossbone with tentacles? Who could that be? Tentacles made him think that it was a fishman…Fishman. He had just ran by a fishman, though that fishman didn’t have tentacles. He was running so he had had trouble placing what kind of fishman he had been but Chrysoara had thought it was some kind of crab maybe? It had appeared to have some sort of armor on it and it was red and yellow. Chrys had not heard of anything with tentacles that fit that description. Did that mean there was another fishman on the island? Was it perhaps an entire crew of them? Suddenly, Chrys realized that Jynx had been speaking to him. “Hmm? Oh, sorry. We don’t have a tent but you can use the inside of the cabin on our ship. They weren’t actually sold to a master. They were rescued from a slaver by the name of Baga. Nasty guy. We threw him out a window.” Chrys said nonchalantly. Then, Chrysoara cussed. A mermaid and a massive fishman walked off the pirate ship. The fishman was a Whale Shark Fishman, that was evident immediately. It had an extremely large mouth. However, more than that it was evident that the Fishman was a monster. He easily was double the height of the mermaid he was walking next to and three times as think. Just looking at the creature made Chrysoara feel like a kid. Hell, the creature dwarfed Jynx as well. “Pirates” Chrysoara said. “I’m terribly sorry ma’am!” The woman at the counter said as she blushed an even deeper shade of red. “I can’t give you a discount. This is a family ran store and I have to pay my own bills, you see.” The woman paused before responding to Ceu’s comment about her wings. Was she trying to hit on her? Didn’t she just see that she was massively in love with someone else?! “Thank you for the compliment and the fact that you are attracted to me but I have feelings for someone else” The door to the shop slammed open. Three men entered. Two humans with swords on their waists and an eight-armed fishman, carrying four swords on each side of his body. “We hear you have the map, Sky Woman. You're going to have to hand it over or die now” |

Jynx was too busy staring at the men who were on the docks, working away. She was right, their muscles were basically ragged, and judging from their movements, they were used to that. She inhaled, deeply, and rotated her shoulders and head, "A cabin would work just fine." She answered, "Well, that's almost worse, well, now we can-" She was cut off by Chrys cussing, she turned, almost asking what was wrong, but Chrys was a step ahead of her, answering her questioning before she had the chance to ask it. She glanced up at the small group of pirates, as they left into the town. "That can't be good..." She said, turning back to look at the battered people at the ships, she was torn, she was a bounty hunter, yes, and these marines could use her muscle, she assumed, at least, from their injuries, but she also didn't want to leave those soldiers in pain for much longer. Well, these pirates could cause some damage, but these men weren't going anywhere, it pained her masseuse heart, but she had to leave them for now. She turned, to stare at the group, as the mermaid of the group, at least, she thought it was a mermaid, besides the fact she could walk on two legs. The mermaid turned, giving her a plaintive look, an obvious cry for help, before she reluctantly returned to trailing behind the pirates, again. Was she their slave or something? Well, that couldn't stand, "I can follow and watch them," She offered, stepping forward, "You're injured, you should stay back." She stated, with surprising authority, despite her previous behavior. Back at the shop, Lucius stood, silently and virtually unmoving, with such a minor presence that he blended into the background of the store, effortlessly. He found himself chuckling at Ceu's woeful misunderstanding of the winged lady's words, as well as the apparent confusion shared between the two. He stopped, when the door slammed open, and three men demanded the winged woman's attention. Lucius closed in, soundlessly, on the men, tapping one of them on the shoulder, and speaking, suddenly and firmly, "I'm afraid she is already doing business with someone else, so you gentlemen will need to have some patience, you can do your business after those who got here first, at the very least." He said, with a heavy sense of formality and maturity, sounding like someone's disappointed father. |

Céu couldn't hide her dejected state of mind when she got refused without given a second thought. Perhaps it would be best if she was accompanied with her fishman friend, his eye often glints when talking about buying stuff. His enthusiasm would be better to try to pull a better price, maybe it would rub off on the vendor and help them at least save a bit more and help get something extra for the ship. "I understand." If the blonde girl gave a discount to her, then the other customers would want too. It made sense that she refused, even if Céu's wallet would appreciate the exception. "Oh, I am stating the ob-" For some inexplicable reason the blonde winged girl took her compliment with an whole different meaning. The girl probably received a lot of compliments and maybe it made her think each and everyone who did so was interested in her. Even if Céu was composed about this whole supposedly big misunderstanding, there was this itch of wanting to input some modesty on the winged one. The lack of some common one was probably the whole reason the blonde girl was fallen to the island bellow. The swordswoman was about to make her point across and clear out the misconception about having any sort of feelings towards the girl, as the door slammed hard against the wall and a couple of rude individuals came in. The marine had no issues with loud people, she even enjoyed hearing some of them on the ship's crew rally up everybody. Still, death threats were not to be taken lightly. It wasn't hard to notice the fis- crabman and his two friends were pirates. "Do you know these people?" Céu asked inconspicuously, or at least tried, as pretty much everyone heard her. Her voice failed to be secretive as her body too, her hand was already on the handle of her blade, and her attention already focused on the pirates. The long haired brunette didn't even realized how clear her voice was, because everyone had shut up after the butter interjected the pirates. Céu wanted to engage immediately on them, one of them carried a weird jolly roger tattooed on his arm, which was good enough for her to attempt an arrest based on their actions. But her hand stood still, the crew was starving. The girl hesitated as her instinct told to jump in and her mind forced her to stay put. |
