Jeremiah reluctantly tailing behind the speed demon, pacing himself enough to keep up and maintain sight of the little gremlin. He'd made it past the point of complaining about practicing table manners as he could see Cero was paying no mind to the genius. He considered this quite rude, yet understandable at the same time, perhaps the savage did not know the level of prestige of his guest... Jeremiah thought, but as a matter of fact the madman had no speck of high class about him; he was just being obnoxious and narcissistic per usual. On the subject of higher class standing, Jeremiah was hoping he wouldn't have to subject himself to eating off the floor like Cero did only a few moments ago, even worse would be uncooked rodent guts... gross. Jeremiah had this thought, yet was not particularly squeamish when it came to blood and entrails. Perhaps it was the fact that he was used to torturing people for amusement, however he never went as far as to gut them like a fish... yet. Maybe another time... The great genius thought to himself, visually displaying a snake like grin through the huffing and puffing of exhaustion.

Suddenly the three eyed child had halted in his tracks amidst the open plains, Jeremiah following suit by quickly shifting his feet sideways in order the cause a slight slide along the cacti surface. Then the child directed the genius to a position, much like instructing a subordinate, which Jeremiah loathed, but subsided the notion; his mind was more set on reaching Cero's home. Jeremiah took position as the child shoved his hand into the cracks of the surface. Perhaps a secret base of sorts? Shortly, Cero would reveal that in fact it was a secret lair of sorts, indicated by the chain and handle that would open the cactus ground up to reveal an underground facility of sorts. Clever... Thought Jeremiah, However it came to the genius's mind that Cero probably did not build this based off the level of intelligence shown throughout their short time together. So why is an underground structure like this here? and how would someone like Cero have access to it?

Jeremiah jumped inside following Cero as the giant latch behind them shut slowly. The view that the cyborg was presented with almost brought a tear to his eye, finally. Before him lied a long hall way of concrete walls lined with iron support pillars, accompanied by a stone tiled floor. Jeremiah never knew the sight of grey could be so refreshing.

he managed to keep pace with the little rodent eating monster, who had yet to let up running around like a goddamn bat out of hell. While following the lead of said monster, Jeremiah began to observe is surroundings. Cells barred with iron outlined the cement walls, some holding creatures that were rotting corpses, some alive but barely... and some were empty and damaged, with the bars of the cell ripped open. The more he looked, the more confused he became. After looping around corners and several pathways, the two finally arrived at their destination... which appeared to be a small cell amassed in numerous items, mainly scrap, as well as blankets that consumed the floor out of sight. The climax to Jeremiah's little trip was this? It would be an understatement to say he was beyond disappointed, in both Cero and whoever was his parental guardian... if anyone.

"No books, Cero? No wonder you're eating raw rodent entrails... With a few notes outta my books, you could have whipped up entrail pie or entrail risotto. Not surprised your body looks so malnourished. You orta be eatin' a balanced di-"

A thought struck him. Why did he care for this child so much? It's not like they have known each other for so long, he could have easily be rid of the child and been on his way to the next island by now. So why?

Suddenly, his attention was drawn to the end of the long narrow hall way by a faint clapping and tapping of shoes against the stone surface floor. It was too far to spot, but Jeremiah could make out a shadowy figure heading towards the two. Jeremiah drew his steel revolver and held it by his side, waiting ready for whatever was arriving their way.

Cero would instinctively nestle his body into the filth. The things around him were comforting, although not everything was soft and cuddly. Various metals with jagged edges, bones, wood, hard plastics, and pointy objects were in the tens of dozens for every piece of fabric around the boy. The noise hesrd earlier not only made the boy docile but drew him back to his "home". Cero hadn't much of an idea as to details or rezoning for his return home, seeing as he left to hunt, but he wasn't supposed to be thinking now. Whatever consciousness he had at this age, under his circumstances, was being circumvented for a purpose that he was not yet aware of. Hunkering down in the trash of his cell, the boy would cross his arms behind his back and cross his legs into a pretzel. Though much of his body was obscured by the trash, his movements and behair seemed incredibly dulled. Breathing lightly, Cero's eyes would droop down to the floor. He'd no longer make eye contact with Jerimiah, the boy would appear to be waiting for something. That something would be heard by the boy. Though looking visibly oblivious to what was around him, Cero would be focusing his hearing on what he could only think were his master's.

He anticipated their arrival as soon as he heard the whistle outside. Not even aware of his manipulated thoughts, the boy waited in manufactured anticipation. In reality if his master's were appearing then he'd experience no joy, or no happiness. He'd likely be tortured and experimented on further. It was only fortunate that Jerimiah had fed fujin, and proved to be friendly as quickly as he did. While not having any attachment to the man, the boy had an intense hunger that could've lead to an attack on Jerimiah. The only way so far that the boy could be coerced was with food, anything else would be attacked or avoided. The manipulated boy would wait in relative silence for his master's, or whoever else to appear.

Jeremiah readily held the cold, steel killing machine that was himself and the gun. The figures slowly approached, heading closer towards the iron sights of the gun's barrel, close enough to make out three figures in front, and two behind them, heads dropping in and out of the view of the barrel. They'd make stops on their way down to the Genius and the Cyclops, Jeremiah could hear the faint sound of writing and scribbling against a hard surface, like wood; probably notepads. Why were they here? What is this place? It finally started to make sense in his mind. Caged animals. Bad conditions, sealed entrance, notes... These were the prerequisites of a mad scientist laboratories. His head turned over to Cero once again, now seeing him as the hopeless test subject that he is. Modifications beyond his understanding as well as taking his rights as a disgusting rodent eating weirdo; this was clearly inhumane. Despite these thoughts, Jeremiah would, if given the right personnel and funding could pull off the same thing but on a bigger scale. Not that he'd waste money on such a fruitless task; why would he put any effort into enhancing anyone else's attributes but his own?

He readjusted his grip; seeing the figures come to view. Surprised at what he saw, despite it not being a rare sight on this island, was priests... Jeremiah was unfamiliar with the "science" that went on in Cactus "Green piece of shit" Island, but he was pretty sure priest stayed away from that shit, due to religious views. All five figures stood only but a few meters away from the duo, in robes and all. Some pulled grins of evilness, as far as grins went with evilness, and some maintained resting bitch face like there wasn't a situation at hand. Jeremiah lowered his gun, trying to be polite to the priest he was about ready to massacre.

"Look, i see what you're doing here guys, test subjects and shit? It's nice yet pointless... You're better off letting them loose on the island and fucking off back to whatever backwards cactus-hole you came from. Also, Priest doing science shit? i'm digging it, really, but it doesn't make a lick-a sense unless you worship some big machine..."

He holstered his weapon and moved his opposing hand to the back of his belt, which held his iron Bowie knife, resting his palm on the hilt of the weapon. Perhaps if they were unreasonable, he could make one of them a hostage, get Cero and skedaddle outta there, maybe cut the guy open, feeding his lower intestines to Cero... Nice.

"Anyone gonna... elaborate the situation for me here? I'm pretty sure this is gunna go down one way, so feel free to prove me wrong, but i usually never am..."

Walking down the streets of Cactus Island it was hard to say that something was not up, every one of them old priests seemed different somehow. From what seems to be the news was that Clint had been sent to Marine HQ for punishment and that the new marine leader for the island was still up for debate...after the defeat of so many marines here it was easy to say that perhaps most of them were likely too injured to take the role or perhaps not confident enough. The fact of the matter was this was quite a blessing for Kuroda as for many of his men this was their home. He let many of his people wander around delivering food to their families and supplies from the ship. Kuroda however did not have a home to go back here.. he was very much so an orphan... the only real person who knew him here was Clint... and to be honest it was likely he'd never see him again. Kuroda could not help but look at his bloodied hands and not think to himself. How much longer can I go on consuming life as not unlike a hurricane of destruction before I am satisfied?... somewhat long winded but with not a single nakama to his name now he really was somewhat lost... but he felt a burning deep down in his stomach saying that he was not done yet.

[His Den Den Mushi began buzzing]

"Big Black Snake do you read me?"

Kuroda lifted his den den up too his lips.

"My name is now the Spectacular Handsome Bastard... I told you this already."

You could hear him sweat from the sound of his captain's frustrated voice... however it was hard to keep up with all the sexual innuendo names and self compliment secret code names he keeps giving himself...

"Oh, I'm sorry Handsome Bastard."

The nearby denizens would be surprised if they had not seen this behavior before from the hometown...antihero?

"I SAID SPECTACULAR HANDSOME BASTARD, God dammit Donkey Fucker.. how many times do you have to get these wrong...I swear to god this is why I don't hire milk drinking land dwellers..."

Donkey Fucker composed himself.

"Captain... several of the people of this island have gone missing... those guys aren't monks they are scientists... this is perhaps another scheme by your arch enemy Will Smoth!? Several of the scientists have went missing but one of our men's brothers have alerted me of a secret location."

Kuroda frowned as he almost bit his tongue.

"What, what what ! i must go there immediately!"

He focused on his mind's eye and began to use his supernatural awareness to try and detect the location of strong guys. Rushing towards where he could find them. Before long he found himself running farther and farther from town and honing in on what seemed to be like perhaps an underground presence....Perhaps if he was capable of crushing the structure of whatever it was below him he could perhaps be able to save enough of the towns people who have been kidnapped by this evil cult of "scientists" However perhaps punching through concrete and bedrock would be quite difficult for your normal person he was quite adept. Feeling like he could easily bag every single person on this island he kicked his foot up into the air before bringing it down on the ground below him.

"Rankakyu!"

This move would slice through anything that wasn't above a certain density below him and would allow him to travel an immense amount of distance towards the culprits who are messing with his town...and perhaps his least liked people.... Cyborgs...He also sensed a familiar signal.. however... it likely was an enemy requiring full force. The ground would split below him and he'd land in the middle of what seemed to be a confrontation, the cutting edge of the Rankakyu shockwave would strike whatever was in it's way as Kuroda glided down and stared over to the cloaked cyborg and the robed men with nothing but hostility towards them.

"Play times over kids..."

Sensing Cero is of some connection too his past he seemed to turn his eyes directly at him. Perhaps even the people would maybe be able to figure who he was due to his over 100 mil bounty. He would point at him similar to Hulk Hogan when he's hulking up.

"Who are you!?"

The ceiling would begin to collapse and the sounds of this would spread across the island to the farthest reaches of the island, the marines which were stationed on the island could no longer bring a blind eye as they sent out a small rifle squad to scout out what was happening, they'd be arriving soon.

Donkey Fucker would go on to be a pretty cool guy despite feeling as if it was quite rude to be hung up on. He was 63 and this was his last day before retirement, No wonder he had such trouble remembering all those names. I bet you envisioned him in his 20s or something... Well whatever at least he could be proud of his last day and I'm glad you joined me for this story.

The young Saikens eyes glazed over as he waited for the New Age priest to arrive. They were near, however their presence would be blocked by something nobody, not even the boy had expected. A world renown pirate would fling his way into the life of Cero, serving as a barrier to his meeting with his assumed masters.

A shockwave would tear and rip through cement, wood, and low grade metals, opening a gash in the boys home. The few barely living souls that shared this space with the boy would be terribly shocked, the New Age priests that were present would be shocked as well. They'd leave almost immediately, leaving little trace of their location in the damp darkness from which they came.

Cero would also be shocked, and the sight of Kuroda, or Spectacular Handsome Bastard, was entirely jarring. If the violent sounds wasn't enough, the boy would be put in distress by the vulgar outfit and vibrant colors. Cactus was a place of purely diluted...everuthing. muted greens and Brown's were all the boy had seen, this vulgar purple was more than he could handle.

Widened eyes turned to shock and then confusion as they rested on the image of Kuroda. Kuroda would make the fifth person that Cero would have ever seen, and he was a cozy for sure. His aggressive nature and bombastic entrance wouldn't do much to foster any sort of friendship with the boy however. Cero couldn't speak, nor was he yet capable of much complex thought. All he'd see in front of him was an intruder, someone that was assaulting his home and potentially his health. Cero was usually very cautious but he'd become triggered once he'd seen Kuroa point at him. The boy had literal to her gun, and although not everyone had one, the boy didn't know that. He didn't know what or how people lived, he only knew his own experience. Seeing the paramedic devil fruit user point his finger would cause the boys killer instincts to awaken immediately.

All docile and relaxed expression would be replaced with intense anger, the third eye on his forehead would open and from under the piles of junk, a pair of bullets would fire towards the pirate. Both shots aiming towards his torso.

Just when Jeremiah thought he had the situation under control, with the soon to be dead priest that were soon to be up to the heavens to see their non-existent god when another entered in a rather dramatic fashion. Bursting through the ceiling of cement and other weak materials to land directly into the scene. Completely stealing Jeremiah's thunder. It would be an understatement to say Jeremiah was enraged right about now. He hated this, being in control of a situation then having it be torn down by some random imbecile. By his mindset, he could see two potential enemies in the same area. Either the priest or the figure behind him, which he would now turn to observe. To his surprise, it happened to be a pirate of some renown. His name didn't come to the Genius' mind; he seemed to only recognize the person's face from a mesh of bounty posters that Jeremiah had once sifted through. He also couldn't remember the bounty price, but if Jeremiah remember it at all, it would have been a high price indeed, to even warrant a memory in the great genius' mind.

He would have to be cautious, looking into the man's eyes over his own shoulder, not quite turned to face him yet. He wasn't sure how Cero would react to this; his body was positioned in a fashion that he only could see the child in the corner of his eye, which wasn't much to go on. He'd only assume and hope he'd side with his relatively new master, Jeremiah, like some lap dog. He'd hoped he had gained this much from Cero at least; having to go through feeding him like a wild beast.

He reached into his pocket, was it time? hmm.. he thought. Contemplating briefly about whether to unleash his first ever weapon of mass destruction. Was he ready for it's power? It would render his foes powerless, the thought alone was marvelous to the cyborg... but with great power comes blah blah blah. His hand rested on the item itself, it resting in his inner coat pocket, like the dragon resting in the deep caverns of a fiery mountain. No, not yet... he thought; he wasn't ready.

His grip released from the hidden item, his arm loosely hung near his knife wedged between his two belts.

"Play time, eh? it's only just begun..."

With that statement, he grabbed his knife, swinging his arm towards the priest, whilst detaching his cyborg hand into a grappling hook, extending the reach of his knife slash, this attack would at least slice open the priests stomachs. With his other arm, equipped with his bone revolver, he'd aim it at the infamous pirate and fire rounds wildly in hopes of landing an attack. All whilst holding a twisted grin upon his face, showing a shade of both excitement and anger at the same time.

OOC: You do not know if I am a devil fruit user, I tend to not show that to strangers as to pull gags on them mind you, I don't care much.

"Bazinga!"~"

The ceiling continued to collapse around them till one could look up at the sky... the sun shined down on the inhabitants. Looking over at the two whom which had started attacking the priest and himself he could not help think that they were kind of jumping the gun a little. There was something up with the priests, I mean they might have some kind of weapon prepared for them, fighting cyborgs and grand line pirates unprepared would actually be pretty unsafe. There were rustlings from an adjacent room behind some large metalic doors, Focusing on Ceros to try and prevent him from being able to do something to the pirate he'd likely end up regretting, The truth was Kuroda really wasn't into squashing or steamrolling people much weaker than him, mind you he could not leave in good conscious his home town to the folly of these strange scientific priest and if these dude's really were related to former enemies then were they prepared for Kuroda arriving? Last time Kuroda had a major skirmish he was fully equipped with a party of pirates capable of going head to head with the battlesuits which Will Smoth was making. I mean there was no one within a close proximity that seemed to reach the same strength levels as Kuroda so it's not something he could totally discard as impossible. There was enough distance away that Kuroda could see Cero's intention to shoot him from a mile away...not literally but you get my point. Turning too his side he was able to swerve out the way of the bullets them lightly clipping his jacket as he would begin walking towards Ceros. He would look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"C'mon kid, You can't just rely on weapons your entire life...With a shot like that... it could be YEARS before you could face me..."

He would calmly state mocking Ceros in a way to try and encourage him to make his day. In truth Kuroda had been become quite numb in general to the combat he began experiencing on this level of paradise. He wanted to force the kid to go all out in his attempt to even harm a pirate of this level... The foundations for the underground facility seemed to have been made quite fragile with all of the commotion and one could tell that it wouldn't be too long until the marines found out what was going on here due to Kuroda's larger than life entrance into the scene. Once the scouting squad gets here they'd likely deploy all units to secure the perimeter as best as possible and prevent the three pirates from leaving and whatever is actually in here... mind you the priests might of made a coup with the marines... well if any case it was probably best to contact headquarters...lifting his wrist up too his lips he would tap the back of the shell of his den den.

"Cunt Destroyer... Handsome Bastard here.. retreat all men from town and prepare to defend the ship until I've secured the town."

The pirate was arrogant not only to walk towards Ceros but to multi task whilst he is doing it. He looked over as well to see some dude with a knife like go to stab some folk... he was rather unsettled by that.

OOC: Vero doesn't know you are a para df user, I just used it as a way to describe you. As for me it's easier to differentiate most characters by their profession, df, ect when writing. In no way did I mean to imply that the boy knows anything of any of your powers.

From his pile of filth, the boy would watch in shock as his shots missed entirely. Well, almost entirely. Tri-colored eyes darted about spotting the exact location that his bullets missed, and the point in which the pirate had turned away. Of course the boy hadn't seen someokne so swift thus far, actually he hadn't a clue as to how or who Kuro was. The boy couldn't recognize the man's voice, which was jarring as every set of speech he heard managed to conflict with the little experience he had. The roaring, bombastic, and outlandish actions all combined to create a scene that was as scary as it was triggering. Cero, under normal circumstances would have tried to assault basically anyone he came into contact with. But the sudden motions made it more than simple survival and conditioning playing as puppeteer to the child's actions. Shock was the major driving factor as his home, well, the only home he could remember, was under attack by a dramatic chain restaurant owner.

Barely responsive to the man's words, Vero would remain as still as he could, using the time to adjust his eyes to the lighting and his mind to the difference of speed that was very apparent. Some may have been surprised that Kuroda was even to tell Vero was a boiy at all considering the amount of trash over him. Vero waited, his body still and yet ready to jump at any second. Once Kuroda began to speak into his den den, Cero would act. Bursting from the filth, the boy woyld fire a pair of addition shots. These aimed in anticipation of his movement. One was towards his chect, another towards the chefs left, where he had evaded before. The bou was only attempting to act on an action that he percieved may become a pattern. Similarly to how hed attempt to shoot two or three steps in front of a land rodent by attempting to perceive their pattern of movement. Of course this wasn't a perfect system, but it was what he was taught. Much closer to the clown now, given both actions, the boy would prepare to use his right arm, the one equipped with the flamethrower, if Kuroda came closer or backed away. Of course the flamethrower wasn't in tip top shape, not full of fuel. But the location was tight enough to allow most of the flames to fill a very short area directly in front of the boy.

Jeremiah recoiled his grapple hand chains back into his wrists, collecting himself again before focusing on his next attack. With his knife attack, he had slashed one of the priest across their chest, causing them to topple over in pain whilst the other priest began to retreat. From his rapid gun shooting, his bullets had been narrowly dodged by the individual alongside Cero's bullets. Odd, that this man was capable of maneuvering in such a way the likes of Jeremiah had never seen. was this the mysterious "Haki" that he had only heard rumors about? Is this how pirates and the like fought in the Grand Line? Even more surprising was that Cero was capable of shooting bullets. Perhaps a body modification? Evaluating his situation, Jeremiah would ideally head for the retreating priests, making them suffer great pain for such cowardice. Yet, he couldn't leave his newly found companion to the likes of such a powerful foe. Jeremiah was definitely in a pinch; Both decisions could lead to a deathly demise.

He would now turn to face the man, who had now became enveloped in a conversation through his Den Den Moshi, only before taunting the poor child. He could see that Cero was preparing an attack, thus Jeremiah would follow up with a backup attack.

He was still curious as to why this man hadn't attacked yet. Was he stalling? Perhaps he was testing the metal of the duo. Jeremiah pulled a face of disgust. Who was he to judge the great genius and his newly found pet?

"Hey hey heeeeeey! How unimportant do you think we are... EHHH? I couldn't give a thousand shits who you are, years in my eyes is just big ass steps! No imbecile like you will halt the progression of Jeremiah Ortega. Now why don't you just... disappear... Now!"

Jeremiah uncoiled his grapple arms again, this time flailing his arms over arms, down onto his target from a few meters. He aimed for either side of the multitasking man, trying to restrict his movement while Cero attacked. He was hoping his lapdog would see this as a cue to attack.

There was a loud grinding of metal and some shaking of the foundations of the room as a nearby door began to slowly open a snail's pace to reveal a large battle suit designed for the capture of Kuroda if he were to ever return to the island. Being someone who is not shy to come home the idea of him returning wasn't exactly totally out of question for any faction which were to seek power or dominion of the island. With the loss of their more powerful marines gave an opportunity that such a device could amplify the fighting capability of any one individual too the point that they could easily take on people or fighters which may pop up over their stay. The cult being a religion they had enough diplomatic immunity that they could not be simple stomped out by large amounts of goons sent by the marines without proper reason.

"Achoo!"

Kuroda's spider sense tingled as he felt an overwhelming amount of projectiles being sent towards him at a moment's notice. Not that he could fully sense the future but he sneezed due to the tingling sensation sending him back a few inches. Seeing more frames of movement for Cero's body stance for when he fires Kuroda leaps into the air and begins skipping through the air without a lot of resistance against his movement.

"Geppou!"

Kuroda was quite literally flying out of bounds for the projectiles such a feat would be somewhat relatively unheard of by travelers of paradise but yes now it was happening in front of their very eyes, it was tricks like these which always put newbies into fits of awe, the flame and the arms which were coming towards him, seeing the flame thrower however sort of irritated Kuroda enough that he felt an almost essential need to comment on it and scold him for daring using a weapon like that. It did though give him a nice little warmth which was quite neat, Kuroda did really appreciate the simple things in life.

"Hey, watch what your doing dude! You trying to light me on fire or something that was pretty rude!"

Kuroda would begin skipping in place as he scolded the dude for trying to set him on fire, I mean there was ways that Kuroda could of countered that honestly but he found a lot of joy in fucking with people... I mean hopefully this wasn't the main course.

Cero's attacks would only continue to fail. The continued failure caused the child to at a moment question what he was competing against. Even if he only had a standard idea of how the world worked, he could still question what he saw. The boys eyes would do what they could to dart towards the figure of Kuroda. Watching the man fly was startling, almost scary as it was co platelet unexpected by Cero. He was taken aback, and his flames missed further due to his own shock and confusion.

Most individuals would have such misconception and emotion manifest in fear or frustration. However cero was without such deep thought, and his training, limited as it might have been when compared to someone like Kuroda or any other experienced in Paridise, urged him to go forth. Walls and mechanized figured appeared in the background, things drew the boys focus. But if two eyes were focused on the developing scenes, there would still be one focused on the clown.

"Bird" the boy recited as he turned his head towards Kuroda completely. Seeing as his attacks had failed so far allowed the boy to see that he could only really hope to push the pirate from his lair. Fire seemed to be something that filled up a decent amount of space and pushed the 'bird'closer to the sky. Aiming his right hand, and what little fuel it had towards the ceiling, Vero began to fill a small area with fire to engulf Kuroda. Once the fire started the boy would jump into the air in order to push Kuroda up and out of the hole in which he came. Vero wasn't jncredibly strong, but he was decently fast and capable of jumping even in his currently weary and diminished state.

With an outstretched right arm the boy would hurdle into the air. His left hand only have a couple of bullets to spare was being kept close. He didn't have many bullets or knowledge to melt metals into them. Hed only enough understanding of his weaponry to use it, not augment or supplement it. The boy if all else failed would fire until only one bullet remained in the cartridge. Hed need at least one to kill whatever he may eat if he survived this encounter.

Jeremiah's sudden surprise at the ascension of the idiot before him. It appeared he had "stepped" up into the air, rising above the projectiles aimed towards him. Jeremiah would be impressed, if it weren't for the fact he was fuming in anger. Now he was beneath this man, the metaphor implied was too much for Jeremiah to comprehend.

Even more surprising was the new development between Jeremiah and Cero. After Jeremiah noticing two things: the gout of fire aimed towards the famed man and the flamethrower part extending from the boy's arm. With this evidence in place, he came to the conclusion that Cero was a Cyborg, which would explain the ease of survival in the Grand Line as well as the science-like priest and underground bunker of sorts. Jeremiah felt little bit closer to Cero; sharing something that divided them from the rest of the common scum. Through this, he attained some new found respect for the pauper child, from being his submissive pet to a partner, maybe; he was still considering his status in Jeremiah's quota of class. As for his flying fiend, he was aimed to be knocked down a peg.

"Flying isn't going to save you, id-"

Suddenly the genius turned to face the loud thumping noise from behind him, the cranking of metal and the loud, deafening siren that had been suddenly switched on. Each thud was enough to make the earth tremble, whatever the source was, it sure was big. Jeremiah peered down the long, elongated hallway but to no avail; he could barely make out what was there. He recoiled his hands back into his cybernetic arms, readying himself for whatever was coming, which he couldn't even begin to imagine what the Grand Line, let alone crazy priests, had in store for him. Focusing his vision, be would spot shadows appearing from the cross sections of the hallway, equipped with what appeared to be rifles. Had the priests come back? Amidst the low hanging dingy fog of the cryptic hallway, bullets began to fly. Jeremiah had lifted his iron arms in order to guard himself, heading towards a support beam against the concrete wall for cover. He planted his body up against the wall, still managing to catch glances of his targets. He would then stay under cover, picking off the masses of priest that had gathered, inevitably waiting the hulking metal mass of machine. To Jeremiah, it sounded experimental... perhaps a giant Cero? To bad there weren't any more rodents about, let alone giant sized ones.

Floating through the air the strange cyborg which gave him the creepy was still trying to cook the pirate lord into a shishkebab. As the strange cyborg began trying to leap and run at the flying Kuroda he could not help but wonder where he got the strength to carry all of the gas for that flamethrower he was toating at him. Regardless flame or not he wasn't exactly going to let himself be pushed around by a bunch of weaklings like these bots. He decided what would be best for him is to take a hostage. Once the full visage of the mechanical monstrosity behind the door was seen a large amount of non flammable gas began filling up the room. Of course due to the opening in the wall and the flame whatever purpose the gas had was being kind of overpowered currently, A large amount of priests armed with quarterstaff began billowing out in large groups and began charging across the room being taken out by the mysterious cyborg sniper. Kuroda was able to clock onto him from far away in the room though and began dashing through the air like he was gliding towards his destination, however to most of the people in the room it would happen in an instant.

"Soru!"

The shots and his his observation haki was able to determine where the cyborg had ran off too.. Quickly her grasps at both of his wrists with an amazing deftness and begins to try and wrench them behind his back between him and the cyborg. Their loyalty has come far? Well lets see what happens if it's really put too the test, Slowly the large battle suit armored priest would emerge and begin to stretch out the mechanized limbs which he was now under control of. From the looks of things the infiltrators were too busy fighting each other...

"Don't move or I'll snap these wrists clean off!"

Seeing the difference in ability it was quite obvious who would come out on top with a little struggle, If Kuroda outwits him fully he'd begin to bring his fore arm across the neck of the cyborg. Mind you using the flamethrower against an opponent like Kuroda was very smart he wasn't going to just sit there and let him speak the day he made Kuroda run! Plus... If he really wanted to he could of think of ways of just stomping these two and making short work of these priests but extending out these mundane skirmishes against rookies can really crush their dreams so he was all about that seeing as it had been weird meeting cyborgs like these this early in the grand line regardless. They seemed almost strangely naive.

Naive was an understatement when it came to this particular seed of the infamous Fudo Saiken. Cero was borderline feral. His actions were often reactions, and his only thought was survival. Signs of brotherhood approaching only increased his desire to act offensively. The religious priests only empowered his resolve and his hunger. His home was invaded at a point where he should have been secured by those who raised him, but the only family he'd known.

The approaching priests and their death machines only provided comfort in these trying times.

Cero would notice Kuroda evade his view, completely unaware of where the man would go until he landed. Hed hear the man spew a sentence or two. It was forceful, likely a command. The boy recognized loudness as directive, but Kuros was no man that he could follow. The boy would initiate a motion to point his finger towards the man, to shoot his last bullet.

However, before more than a centimeter of movement had occurred, there would be a large explosion, something that would send all persons flying about in this containment area. Cero would be completely engulfed in a torrent of flame and force, blowing him many meters from where he was. The walls seemed to burst with tremendous concussuve force notable heat damage.

What was unknown to even the boy was the gas systems that lined this base. The New Age Priests and much of their information had vanished on the island, one way that helped was their intricate base planning. Rigging base as for utility in more than one way benighted these men and their duties. Regardless if Cero's importance, hiding their secrets was primary to the priests.

Now hunched over in a slump, Cero laid in rubble and flames, his body able to manage but by no means he was capable of fighting currently. With enough time he'd manage a way to at least free himself from the rubble but his senses were jarred. Pain, shockwaves, flames, fatigue, and pressure held the boy dazed in place. Breathing heavily the boys eyes did what they could to pierce the wafting flames.

Jeremiah had turned to see that the buffoon of a flying clown had taken his feral companion hostage. It seemed like the most tactical choice in this scenario, back against the wall with the enemy with a huge ass mech like machine the likes Jeremiah had never seen. Heck, even Jeremiah would consider the same tactic if it wasn't for the one factor. The same variable that stopped Jeremiah from putting a bullet into Cero's skull: He was too human. An odd kindness shone through his sadistic nature, perhaps a trope that he adopted from his mother. Having been cast out from society back on his homeland, we would have thought he curbed the notion of feelings towards people he considered lesser than himself long ago. In the end, no matter how much times Jeremiah would destroy his body and augment it, he will always be-

No.

He had already come this far, he wasn't going to yet something so meager as being born human keep him from greatness. The great genius was not just his title, it was his ideals, his passion and his conviction. The burden of the still lit torch of intelligence and brilliance was his to carry. Flying clowns, crazy red haired lesbians with the strength of oxen and mech wielding priests, he would surpass them all.

Amidst his trail of thought, Jeremiah was knocked a great distance, at what seemed like he had said the magnitude of his thoughts aloud. A fiery explosion would cause him to be launched overhead passed the crazy science-y priests and into a leading hallway, slamming against a wall along with large pieces of concrete that had winded him into his mid section. Propped up against the wall, he sat in a pile of rubble, surrounded by a haze of flames that licked the floor, flickering around, almost mocking him. It seemed the majority of priest in the area had been caught by the blast also; most being knocked out from sheer force and others ran around, arms flailing, in a coat of fire. Jeremiah scanned the scene, mainly looking for his three eyed minion and the flying idiot. Not a lot could be seen; the majority of the space was covered in a orange tint created by the low hanging fog and the newly arriving flames, causing big colorful blurs in the Genius's vision. The only thing he could make out was the looming shadow of the mech, which, judging from it's size, was at quite the distance away now.

In this situation, he had to focus on survival, now with cementing his future goals, he had to make sure he was live to see them through till the end. He lifted his body upwards, the rubble sliding off his body and toppling over, he began to stumble down this new hallway, his leg injured abit from impact. He was certain the odd feral Cero would fend for himself while his master was gone, whether that would be Jeremiah or one of the priests. As for the infamous idiot... Jeremiah hoped he got the brunt of the blast.
