~Some time ago~ Alistor struggled to get up. He couldn’t remember what had happened. He was still on Swift Breeze. He just had no idea what had happened with the execution. The last thing he remembered was the Rising Sun Pirates were forming a plan to save Captain William from the chaos that was about to unfurl with his Father’s execution. Alistor shook his head, trying to clear the fuzziness from it. Sadly, that only made matters worse because his head began to hurt worse than anything he had experienced so far. Alistor ran a hand over the back of his head. He could feel the warm liquid before he saw it. His hand had blood on it. It was throbbing still. “Someone must have hit me in the back of the head” Alistor mumbled as he sat up. He was in the town, somehow. He couldn’t remember getting off the boat. Everything around him was calm and the setting sun cast gold and red rays throughout the sky. The wind blew a soothing soft breeze through the city. Alistor cut off the sleeve of his shirt and wrapped it around his head. The next two days passed slowly and painfully as Alistor searched for signs of his crew. As far as he could tell, they had left without him. He could hardly blame them. He was, after all, barely more than a stranger and they surely had the marines on their tail after the execution. Everything Alistor heard said that they had managed to escape. No one seemed to know where they had escaped to. “Well, I can’t halt my journey now. I’ll just have to begin travelling and hope I meet up with them again someday.” Alistor said on the third morning since waking up in the streets of Swift Breeze. The city had begun to die down after the fuss that he was involved in before, but not entirely. So, Alistor was forced to wait for the perfect opportunity to steal a ship to leave the island. Unfortunately, Alistor was not very good at navigating on boats. With that in mind, Alistor watched as large ship after large ship pulled into the docks. None of which he would be able to get out of the harbor before he was noticed; if he could get them out of the harbor at all. Luckily, a small little dinghy pulled up. The Captain of this small boat tied it off on the dock and walked away. He had a gun at his waist and Alistor could tell by the way he walked that he was a pirate as well. He didn’t walk with enough confidence to be a very successful one, though. So, Alistor walked down to the harbor as nonchalantly as he could and climbed aboard the plebian vessel. One swift chop of his sword was all it took. ~Present Day~ Alistor continued to sail. His head no longer bothered him and it seemed to be doing better. He hadn’t landed on any islands sine Swift Breeze and he had already exhausted the small bag of food that the previous owner had put into the boat. It was full of apples; they were not very filling. Alistor still couldn’t figure out why the pirate had only brought apples on board. He had spent the days wondering aloud whether he had previously owned (or been the son of the owner of) an apple orchard. He probably had easy days picking apples for his harsh father, who drove him to be a pirate. Of course, Alistor knew nothing about the pirate and these were all figments of his imagination. Suddenly, Alistor saw an island in the distance. He knew not which island it was because the current and his poor navigation skills caused him to quickly get lost. Alistor’s little dinghy pulled into a doc underneath the harsh sun of the sandy island. A small girl, maybe twelve in age as she was clearly prepubescent stood at the docks. She was the only one there, but it was early in the morning and he didn’t expect the docks to be overly busy just yet. Alistor began to tie off the dinghy (which was difficult since he had made the rope much shorter when he had left Swift Breeze). As he was struggling with partial rope, Alistor felt a hand touch his shoulder. Despite the light tough, Alistor jumped backward and fell into the water. The little girl’s laughter filled the air as Alistor pulled himself out of the water. "Thank the gods that I haven’t eaten a devilfruit” he murmured as he began to dry his blade with a rag. He would have to apply oil quickly so that it didn’t rust from the water. “If you are visiting the Wild Wild West, you must borrow this disposable gun” The girl said as she held out a single shot 9mm revolver. Alistor glanced at the gun and narrowed his eyes. “I’m good” he said as he motioned towards his sword. The girl didn’t laugh this time. Turning the gun on Alistor in a flash, she smiled and said “If you don’t take the gun, I will have to shoot you. Please take the gun. I hate cleaning up the mess of those who don’t.” “Fine. Fine. Don’t shoot” Alistor said as he motioned for her to hand him the gun. As she moved, Alistor heard the clanking of metal. It was only then that Alistor realized that the bag on her left side was filled with these disposable firearms. “Excellent choice.” She said as she handed him the weapon. She promptly turned around and marched back off to the spot she was standing in when Alistor had arrived. “I don’t think this is going to be my kind of town.” Alistor muttered as he stared at the weapon. He turned his head back to his boat for a second but turned back to the docks as he felt a large rumble in his stomach. “Well, I guess I better go get some food and see if anyone has heard word of the Rising Sun Pirates, at least.” |

"Well, thank you miss!" Top Hat's voice echoed through his surroundings as he took the gun offered to him. The girl was looking at him as if he fell from some other planet. He realized that she might not have been used to being thanked for giving people guns. "I do not know what to do with this though? Might you enlighten me?" She shrugged and said: "We do not have unarmed people here!" before leaving him to his devices and going away. The last look she gave him made it clear that she thought he was a weirdo. He held the weapon much like someone would hold in insect which disgusts them slightly. "Whatever do I do with this… " he muttered, "I’m much better off using my daggers." Still, he managed to put it away inside one of the many fitting compartments and pockets his tuxedo was equipped with. The remnants of the gun shot on his shoulder throbbed at that moment. He resumed walking towards his destination. He was after all, almost always a man with a destination, commonplace as it maybe sometimes. It had been months since he was forced to leave Revena Island behind, abandoning it to the much more powerful marine captain governing it. That was the destination he must return to… sometime in the future… in the meantime he had things to investigate. He was here for such a reason in fact. The Vainhollow town in Wild Wild West was one location he came across in his investigation in Revena. Although he had no more to go on than the location itself, he suspected that this very location held the key to the horrifying events which transpired in his home town, or at least some clues as to who exactly was responsible for them. Right this very moment however, his destination was not at all relevant to his quest. He was just in the mood for some breakfast, as one was want to be early in the morning. Whatever he may find to eat here was probably going to be better than the left over fish meat they had on the boat which carried him here. It wasn’t long before Tikus found himself a fitting establishment for his needs. This town was more colorful than your typical Wild Wild West town, being more accommodating to visitors, which meant that it did not want for restaurants. Sitting himself down upon arrival, Tikus ordered some local breakfast right away. He was excited for the discovery, even if it was to be as simple as a dish or two that he never tried before. |

Alistor slowly walked to the nearest town he could find. He marveled at the surrounding scene. To Alistor’s left, men on horses were chasing cattle and swinging ropes over their heads. In front of him, the town lay in what appeared to be a relatively straight line, with very little layers going off to the left or right of the center row. The buildings were all made out of wood with strange doors that swung inwards and outwards at the center instead of on one side. There were people all about. Alistor noticed one distinctive factor about all of the people. They all had at least one pistol strapped to their side. Some had more than one and many had much more valuable weaponry than the pistol he had been given. All the same, he noticed many people standing and chatting in front of multiple buildings. Many of these people were the ones that had the same kind of pistol as he did. Over their heads signs on uneven boards hung with crudely painted words such as “Pop’s Diner” or “All you can eat”. “All I can eat? Tempting…but…” Alistor paused as he looked at the establishment. In comparison to the other restaurants on the street it was rather dingy. “Maybe I’ll go to this one instead” Alistor strolled off towards one of the many eating locations in the town. The one he went to didn’t seem to be overly busy, like some of the others. On the inside, he basked in the homey feeling that the restaurant had. He couldn’t place what caused the feeling but thought the way they greeted him and felt genuinely nice was part of it. Alsitor quickly seated himself and ordered as many eggs and bacon as he could afford. This was slightly less than he had wanted to order but the server insisted that he order at least one serving of steak to go with his meal. The steak was not cheap. Not feeling like it was a good time for alcohol, Alistor ordered a glass of milk to go along with his breakfast. As he waited for his food, a woman walked over and sat down at Alistor’s table. One table over, Alistor noticed a strange looking man with a top hat on his head. It was the kind of outfit that would stick out on almost any island, let alone this one with its peculiar culture. “You look familiar” The woman said as she moved some of her long reddish-brown hair out of her eyes. Her eyes were a deep emerald green and she carried a silver pistol on her side, polished to perfection. She wore darker colors and seemed to be dressed to ride a horse, telling by the split in the skirt. “Nah, you aren’t him. Too young.” “I’m not who?” Alistor asked her as he took a sip of the milk that had just been delivered to him. “There’s a marine around these parts that goes by the name of Axel. He has the same blonde hair and blue eyes that you do. Thought for a minute he got off his horse, literally, and came to join us common folk.” The woman said as she reached over and drank all of Alistor’s milk in a single drink. “But, nah, you ain’t him.” "Well, I hate to say it but I don't know any Axel and I'm definitely not a marine" Alistor replied with a laugh, which he used to hide the indignation of his entire cup being drained. |

Tikus was completely amazed by the sheer ammount of meat they presented him with. He was not used to this for breakfast. Though looking around without drawing too much attention, well at least not more than he'd already been getting, he realized that he was clearly served the most expensive breakfast they could make, no doubt to hustle some extravagant ammount of money from him. Having grown up on a an island dedicated entirely to tourist service, he was familiar with the technique. I can't believe how easily I fell for it... he thought, resigning himself to eating all the deicious treats in front of him. He'll have to think of how to get out of paying later. As he dug into his plate, he was surprised to overhear a conversation about a marine. Axel on his high horse, huh? Maybe looking into this guy would be useful later. he thought, making a mental note to find out who he was later. As he was eating, there was sudden movement inside his top hat. A small white dove poked his head from under it, and came out falling into the magician's lap. As if by magic, the monocle that had been absent from his right eye when he first showed his head was now on it. Dove flew up a bit and landed on the table. He started pecking into what few green vegetables were on Tikus's plate, to get some nourishement of his own. This clearly managed to get the attention of the entire room on him even more. Top hat continued eating. He was well used to having everyone's attention on him. Suddenly, he strated coughing as if something was stuck in his throat. The loud fit of coughing managed to get the attention of everyone who wasn't already looking. At the first moment of respite from the coughing fit, he put his fingers inside his mouth and brought out a single blue rose, which he presented for all to see with a smile. A confused round of aplause started, but soon more people caught on and almost the entire restaurant was applauding. He stood up, walked over to the next table and presented the rose to the woman sitting besides Alistor. If she knew of some high and mighty marine settling in this town, then maybe she could make his job a lot easier. |

Alistor sat and began to eat his food, wondering why this woman was still sitting at his table. He had told her he didn’t know who this Axel was. Pointedly ignoring her, he shoveled eggs into his mouth. They were surprisingly delicious. He still needed information on the Rising Sun Pirates. He worried that the may have been captured and executed at some point. Otherwise, where would they have gone? Would they go into the Grand Line? Alistor didn’t feel quite ready to take the Grand Line on. They say that the deadliest of pirates were there. “You know, you really do look like him. Except you don’t have the scar on your face. Could be his brother.” She said as she continued to stare into Alistor’s face. It was unnerving how much she kept staring at him. “Yeah, he is normally stationed near the ranches between here and Vainhollow, though. Of course, everyone would avoid Vainhollow with how it is right now so you might see him.” “I do have some brothers. They look pretty similar to me but none of the mare named Axel. The closest would be my brother Allen. Never the best fighter but I heard he was doing well in the marines.” Alistor said. He could remember his brother Allen pretty clearly. He was his elder brother by about a year. The older brothers always bested him in swordplay, which Alistor was not allowed to participate in with them of course. Alistor had had to learn on his own. Part of him wished that this Axel was really his brother. He wouldn’t be, of course. She had said that Alistor had looked too young to be this Axel. There was only a year gap between him and his brother. That wasn’t enough to make her think he was too young to be the person. He would love to cross swords with him to see who is better. The weak but trained elder brother or the younger brother who was forced to learn in secret. He did have to wonder why this woman was so interested in him. Perhaps this “lawless” area wasn’t so lawless afterall. Alistor wasn’t even aware that marines were on this island. It was weird that he was stationed at the ranches and not in the town, though. It was at this point that the sharply dressed individual walked over and handed the woman a rose. “Why, thank ya, dear. I’ll cost quite a bit more than a rose, though.” She said as she flashed a very seductive smile at the man in the suit. “Do you know anything about the Rising Sun Pirates?” Alistor asked the seductress and the magician. The seductress merely gave him a look with her eyebrows raised. “ and what is going on in Vainhollow?” “Rising Sun Pirates? Dear, who in the hell is that? As for Vainhollow, it’s gotten pretty dangerous. Some deadly people have set up shop in that town. I’ll say this. Avoid it if you know what’s good for you.” She warned as she turned her attention to the man in the tophat. |
