Account Name: Leens

Basic Character Information
Name: Lena Rose Otherton
Nickname: Doragon
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Affiliation: Other
Bounty: None
Achievements:
♦ Became an accomplished doctor by the age of sixteen.
♦ Fucked up more than a few experiments, immediately lowering prodigy status to “quack”. Managed to further disfigure herself, and turn her sibling into a local superhero.
♦ Ate a devil fruit.
♦ Got hired for the Zanarkland Gabes, a dark horse Chitzball team that made their pro debut and took the world Chitzball cup thanks to Lena’s questionable “Sports Therapy” cremes.
♦ Made sure the racing stallion "King Mystery Sweetie Pie” won the 17th Annual Jockeyton Derby. The horse grew a few extra legs mid-race, and payment was not rendered.
♦ Provided medical expertise and “combat cremes” to a fiefdom full of peasants that wished to overthrow a duke. The peasants succeeded in their revolt, but found themselves experiencing severe side effects that made them unable to work their fields after. Their kingdom may or may not be the ground zero of some sort of biological apocalypse.
♦ Undermined and destabilized a massive underground snail fighting league by providing a mafioso with “Poppers.” Accidentally made a snail that could no longer be killed by salt, and that could kill anyone that tried.
♦ Rigged a winner for a “One-Run Dodecathlon”.
♦ Sub-contracted to a Marine field hospital for a month. Managed to turn half of the battalion’s skin green, but nobody died on her watch. The green skin is possibly a permanent side-effect.

Profession: ~ Dermatologist Without Borders (Doctor)
A Doctor, on a ship or otherwise, gains large medical knowledge. Suturing and cleaning wounds, making bandages out of various materials and preparing drugs, is all part of a Doctor's job. Doctors are the only ones capable of healing serious injuries on the crew. Doctors have the ability to create drugs and toxins that can buff allies or debuff enemies.

~ Fisty Fighter (Martial Artist)
A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body.

Position:

Physical Appearance
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 143 lb
Hair: Whiteish blonde
Eyes: Blue as the sky, babee

Clothing/Accessories: Usually wears long dress pants and turtlenecks, making sure to cover as much skin below the jaw as possible. Underneath the turtleneck is a thin tank-top typically, because you never know when it’s going to be hot as hell. She also wears a doctor’s coat, which gives her a far more professional appearance than she probably deserves. Hair is typically pulled back into a loose ponytail by a gaudy pink scrunchy, with plenty of cute bangs to flop around and push back behind an ear.

General Appearance: Tall-ish but not huge, somewhat fit but not toned, Lena is what you’d expect of a pretty blonde doctor. Her bedside manner is top-notch, at least in tone, and her general relaxed demeanor makes people feel at ease, even if her words don’t. You’ll often see her trying to covertly scratch and scrape at her covered skin, but even if you see some odd scaly bits strewn about, don’t worry; it’s not skin. Well, not skin in the typical sense. Around the neck and below on her arms, chest, abdomen, back, and legs are bits of shiny metallic scales, sort of like a lizard’s, but way harder. And they itch like crazy. Don’t worry, you probably won’t see them unless there’s a fight.

The Character
Personality: A consummate professional above all else, that’s what Lena would like to think of herself. That’s definitely not the case though. The good Dr. Otherton is most aptly described as a mad scientist, though she herself is rarely angry, or even altogether terse. No, Lena is a doctor in the sense that she is always trying to rid herself of that damned itchy skin (and of course help her brother), and has irreparably changed many lives on the journey to do so. Most for the worse, but some for the better. Her own life, in fact, is one that she has failed to enrich. It seems that no matter what Lena does in her quest for better skin, she ploughs through a trail of consequences.

But she’s accepted all that noise. Lena tends to be optimistic, although not perfectly positive. A failed experiment often leads to pouting, and if necessary, escape from authorities or angry patients. Still, Lena is content with the pace her life has led. She’s not shy of adventure (especially in the name of science), and often finds herself happier for the oddities and hiccups that almost invariably surround her work.

When confronted with adversity Lena is just as likely to fight her way through it as she is to try and talk, coerce, intimidate, or just run away. She’s not afraid to do whatever needs to be done to get from point A to point B, but those points rarely involve outright malevolence, so she’s not exactly an evil person by nature or by habit. Just a bit self-involved, or ‘ditzy’ and ‘eccentric’ as she would say. Lena almost always demands payment for her services, even when she’s done very little, so long as she thinks she can get away with it. Experiments in dermatology cost money after all.

Hometown: Somerplace Isle, Grand Line

History: Born to fairly unassuming but well-to-do parents like most people, you wouldn’t expect Lena-Rose to have turned out as odd as she was. Not like “burning-the-house-down-in-a-fit-of-rage” odd, but just..off. Her parents worked at a pretty busy hospital and maybe they just couldn’t put in enough time with their eldest, but the girl always seemed stuck in her own head or just doing something stupid. Between that and the gnarly psoriasis, Lena definitely stuck out in school. Luckily she was pretty smart, or she would have really lost the lottery of life. Eventually her teachers got used to the bloody red spots all over, and the constantly itchy kid. Lena’s parents had at one point considered keeping their daughter in a straight-jacket at home, but deemed it too cruel, even if Lena always had to be bandaged from the skin-picking.

And then Lena’s brother came along. Nothing really changed right away with Almond’s birth, just another kid that Lena’s parents loved, but didn’t quite see enough of. He was lucky enough to not have any debilitating skin conditions, or general air-headed-ness, and Lena took to him like a good older sister. It took a few years, but Almond joining the family definitely seemed to level out aloof Lena, and they would go on adventures around town and get into trouble and yada yada.

So eventually at around the age of eight some teacher got some new extra-curricular tests to test for brightness (which was probably nonsense anyway), and Lena tested well. So naturally she skipped a grade like any gifted kid would, and just kept going. Her parents were very proud, even though her dad always seemed to forget how old she was. It just kept going from there. The more ‘normal’ Lena got with age, the better she was able to apply herself to her studies. She even got to a point where she didn’t completely disfigure herself with peeling skin off, and eventually a goal was established. Somehow she was going to cure this annoying-but-not-altogether-dangerous disease, and so she would be a doctor like her parents. Turns out she was sort of a prodigy, because of course, and Lena Rose Otherton rose to the esteemed position of a Doctorate by the age of sixteen. Her parents were crazy proud, and her mom even found the time to attend her graduation. Dad bought a cake for dinner later, so it’s not like he didn’t contribute.

Then came the hubris. It was probably always there, just lying dormant like any good (bad, really) plot-twisting personality trait. Lena was too young to handle her newfound recognition, and with the grant she had been given for her thesis on Super Soldier Cremes, she made something awful. Of course she tested it on her 10 year old brother, because the kid was just so stoked to be a Super anything, and to her surprise it worked on the first try. He grew into an adult physique, and became super strong and fast. He would heal really fast too. Too bad really, because he turned orange as well, and his hair green. Almond was pretty much a carrot. And the real kicker? If he didn’t get more of the stuff at least once a week, he would wither and his legs would quit. Essentially Almond was either a built dude with superpowers or a tiny kid in a wheelchair. Really quite bizarre, and a little bit silly.

But Lena’s dad wasn’t laughing. He did what any well-to-do but fairly neutral parental entity would do, and kicked his daughter out. “You’re grounded for life!” were his parting words, and Lena’s mother waved her out with a “Do come back for supper, we’re having lasagna and I want some help with the dishes.” Lena didn’t go back though, and went on to lead an exciting and overly dangerous life as a freelance doctor with no previous real-world experience. Her youth lead her to all sorts of stupid and sketchy experiences, like eating a fruit that tasted like hot garbage and growing scales, which she would hesitantly describe as “Glory Days”, if pressured.

You’d think she has no relationship with her parents, but she writes home all the time and sends money. Even finds souvenirs for her brother. Her mother and her have Den-Den calls now and again, and her brother makes a living as a superhero, sort of. There’s a limited supply of Super Soldier Creme, and the main ingredient is really hard to find, so he’s got to use it sparingly. Almond and Lena still get along, and he always says that the day she makes a better version is the day he’ll come adventuring with her. But that probably won’t happen.

Abilities and Possessions
Combat: Lena fights from afar or up close, whatever is needed really. The tough scales on her body are itchy, but they are surprisingly durable and easily weaponized, especially with the power of her devil’s fruit. Typically she tries to sit back and just fling sharp metal scales at people, which is really the same as standing over someone and scratching your dandruffy head all over them. Except usually more painful. Sometimes she’ll try to fake knowing kung-fu to scare people, but it’s all a ruse.
Weaponry:

Boxing Gloves - "Natalie Raleigh gets some fisticuffs upgrades in the form of boxing gloves Martial Arts lightweight training gloves, black in color these gloves increase his strength by 5 when used. The problem being that they don't exactly fit very well and the pressure of fighting with them causes his hands to feel constrained and in pain when striking anything."

The scales can at will be peeled off and utilized like an improvised knife or something of that nature, as their shapes lends them a point and sharp edges. When on the skin they mesh pretty well, looking entirely seem-less until Lena decides to loosen up and peel them off. It’s sort of painful, and they grow back almost immediately. They also itch like hell, and they ooze and bleed a bit when they come off.

Still need to post in Scoop Thread because your cooldown would start after approval.

Also, get rekt Zander.
I'm going to be less active as of 9/25/17. Kinda hitting a point where I'm contemplating why I'm here while having a full-time job.

Your stats add up to 223 currently, reduce by 4.

You also need to include your free devil fruit technique.

I'm going to assume that you've eaten the SD candy, so you'll wanna remove that or cross it out or just somehow mark it's been eaten. You'll also need to note that in your gains and losses for SD. If not, I mean... You're free not to eat it I guess? Just say and this can be approved
