Seth didn't bother arguing with the women further, both of them were naïve when it came to how the world worked. They were still children, and while Seth felt it was tiresome, they weren't his responsibility. He felt no need to rip the veil from their skewed vision of the world. They to would come to see it in their own time, as he had.

Turning his attention back to Captain Lance, it didn't escape his notice that she seemed to approve of his small tirade. Ignoring it for now though, he gazed through the plans with his new information. Taking a small pencil, he drew lines from two patrols on the west side of the island towards the forest. "We can move these patrols here, reinforcing the wooded areas. Supply patrols here..." He marked his point with an x "Here and Here, with Den Den mushi's to report back. "

Tapping the pencil against his skull as he thought, he continued to gaze over the plans. "I take it every combat ready marine in this room has their own weapons, separate from the armory, yes?" Seth didn't bother waiting for a response, instead continuing as if the answer had been a yes, regardless. "Captain Lance, I request that you stay here with a Den Den Mushi, in the event that combat reaches here, you can join in, however as the leading tactician it's only right that you command your troops from here."

Seth's verbatim began to speed as his plan unraveled before his eyes, everything slowly falling into place. "If I took the two Lieutenant's with me to the woodland area, we could seperate into the patrols without Den Den Mushi's provising them extra support since they lack communications"

Marking X's with different color's to those patrols, he continued on, "The Commodore, Captain, Commander, and Lieutenant Andrew will remain here, in the center of the park, acting as High-Command for the coming battle." Seth scrathed out a patrol "Since Nola is a non-combatant in here, she'll remain with High-Command also, we can set up a sterilized are to treat the wounded."

Turning his body slightly, he gathered the attention from the rest of the room, wanting to work quickly as his plan had finally laid itself out. "Commander Lev, if you would please help Nola set up a medical center in the area, assign all military personnel with doctor or medical experience under her direct command if you would."

Turning back to the captain, he scrathed on final X "Anna's swordsplay will go unrivaled in this patrol. We'll divy out the weapons like this..." Seth made a series of Lines and Circles around each patrol, lines signifying swords, and circles - guns. "This will provide both sides with an equal force of close and mid range combat prowess, regardless of where they were to come from...."

Looking down at the map one final time, the scribbles were impossible to make out for anyone who hadn't followed the entirety of the conversation, though the Lieutenant Commander felt confident that Captain Vance had followed along just fine. However, he did grab several other maps and sketch up cleaner plans to distribute between everyone in the room.

"It's not a fool-proof plan, it will require cooperation on all sides." Seth knew he wasn't popular with the two women, he also knew he needed their cooperation, and something dawned on him as he grabbed another map.

"Captain Vance!" He nearly bellowed as his eyes darted back and forth "Here, do you see it? We could protect the civilians while simultaneously upholding the pride of the marines, no one would need to be put in harms way, just as the others would like." He had noticed there was a large auditorium next door to the mess hall.

"If we were to tell everyone of a wonderful event, a-a a stage play, or something similar, we could attract the majority of their attention there, keeping them away from the large combatants." The lieutenant Commander's excitement wasn't without check though.

Turning once again to face the two women, he spoke his final thoughts on the plan "This will protect civilians, in the case that we succeed. However, by holing them up in the middle of the island, they lose all chance to escape by themselves. If we fail, every person on this island will die. It's a risk, but there will be fewer casualties this way." Seth then did something completely unlike him, turning to Nola, he asked her opinion on the matter

"Should we let them roam the island, giving them a chance to escape at our defeat, with higher casualties, Or doom them at our defeat, but nearly no casualties with out victory?"

The sudden action by Seth bought a stop to any other conversation on the canteen. Lilian silently studied through the map, sensing that the whole situation was being sized up well enough by the younger Marine. Having quite the strategic mind to say the least, it left a good impression to not only the Captain, but even to the older Stark. Even as he kept silent, he was studying the whole situation. He could see both women had grievances against their tactics. It was no surprise, since even Antonio had the same feeling. He has been trying to force High Command to actually prevent such an event, but clearly it was not happening. Voicing out his own dislike about this was not going to help, only dampen the mood for their group. But to see there was still at least humanity instilled in the youngsters was rather great for him.

Lilian looked over to the older Commodore, nodding her approval at the tactic Seth devised. Keeping the general population away from the fight seemed to be a well-thought idea, and it flew well with the tactician. In addition, as the Commodore glanced around, he could see both his son as well as Lev approving of it. The thought of ensuring their safety was definitely something worth taking a risk for.

" Even if we pile them up together at the hall, the likelihood of the fight gaining their attention is going to be overbearing. If we are planning to do that, I say we bring the fight away from the halls. We will have to ensure the enemy does not infiltrate the lines. They come inside, and the chances of civilian casualty would be extreme. If our intel is right, the expectation would be a fight in the forest. We keep the enemy at bay there, the civilians would be safe."

The older man reasoned, finally gaining the attention of the group. He absent-mindedly rubbed his chin, his mind working on a strategy.

" Your idea is sound, Dryden. We can use that to our advantage. The headquarters would be this very building. It is at a good position and vantage point, and we can move men to assist at an instant. As you said, Captain Vance and Stefano, as well as Lieutenant Stark would be positioned here."

He stated, before a sudden fist banging on the table gained his attention.

" With all due respect, Sir, I understand why you would want me to stay. But I am the only one that has a grasp of the geographic of the area, and my expertise would be essential to the frontlines rather than staying behind in command."

Andrew stated, clearly not willing to stay behind while the men fought for them. The older Stark could only smile. Even Lev gave a glimpse of a grin. They expected as much from the younger Marine, knowing his temper as well as willingness to lead. After all, he did take that from his father.

" Fine, you get your chance. I believe he will be a strong hand to help out the task forces."

Antonio reasoned, meeting the approval nod of both Lilian and Lev.

" So this will be the chain of command, with me taking point on it and Lev and Lilian assisting me from our command point here. Andrew, you will take a squad and hold the docks. Dryden, you will take the lead to our eastern side. That way, our west and east would be secure. These are the only two points of entry they could possibly have, as such, it should ensure we keep them at bay whichever point they come."

He added as he moved himself towards the map, pointing out the two points.

" My lieutenants would be more than able to assist you, Lieutenant Commander. However, I would like to ask instead of having Nola stay behind in command, she would assist your patrols as well. I believe if we put medics for every patrol squads, it would at least minimize the injuries we sustain, not to mention at the very least deal with non-life threatening wounds. Commander Stefano is more than an able medic, and he can station a makeshift hospital within the area of our command post. He should take command of it. I believe Nola's expertise would serve well on the groups instead."

Vance reasoned, with Antonio nodding to her suggestion. After all, the division did come together, there was little reason to spread them apart.

" I believe we place ten men on each patrol group should be sufficient, with the remaining twenty be placed in reserve here. That way, if there is any need to reinforce either side, we can quickly cover the grounds. I will bring it up to High Command that they will be an event within the halls, hopefully that should bring all the civilians to safety. But remember, if we fail to hold them at the exterior, we will not be able to hide it for long. Nola and Anna, you both will assist Dryden. As both the Lieutenant Commander and Captain Vance stated, your expertise should suffice well to assist him."

Antonio ordered, pointing at the various points. He was worried about the eastern side, with the area of cover quite large to ensure safety. But their headquarters was based closer to the eastern side rather than the docks, which should provide instant reinforcements if the need arises. He was already expecting the attack to come from there. The fact they could simply land there and gain their footing before striking was easily a more sensible strategic attack.

" Every ranking officer will hold a Den Den Mushi, as well as squad leaders chosen by their respective task leaders. Dryden, Andrew, the both of you will choose your own squad leaders. Captain Vance, Lev as well as myself will have our own Den Den Mushi. As soon as any enemies are spotted, you are to inform us through it, and reinforcements will come to assist. Supply caches will be placed at specific strategic places, places where we can hold them if we ever get pushed back into the park."

The older Stark added, pointing out different spots that he would probably be placing the caches. It made better sense, since having the group carry it around was more taxing. Besides, they did not have the numbers to do sucha thing.

" If Lieutenant Commander Dryden is alright, I would like to have Lieutenant Felton assist me instead. He is an able fighter as well as a trusted friend, his assistance as squad leader for my group would help me greatly."

Andrew stated, looking over at Seth as he answered. Regardless, Antonio was already moving on to the next topic.

" I understand the worry of involving civilian casualties would be high, but remember, as long as we hold them at the outskirts of the park, we will keep them safe. Stay alert, men, and we will ensure the safety of everyone in this park. Whether this is Bright-Eyes, or some other nefarious pirates thinking they can fight us at our weakest, we will let the world see the Marines are not a failing power just yet."

The older Stark stated, the face of someone who was frustrated clear. Lev knew why he was such, knowing the Commodore wanted to be in the frontlines like his son was going to be. He was a soldier, and that is his forte. If not for his crippled nature, he would have done just that. Yet that was not his destiny. With no other choice, he would do his best to assist the frontlines from here, hoping to give orders that would not lead to the death of his men.

Anna wouldn't be listening to much, right now she would listen to orders and she followed, giving them out was like talking to a wall with them, not only was she a low rank marine, but not many people listen to a woman's comments, most of all men that thought they were more and their rank, Anna didn't fully think like this, but she knew it was useless saying a single word to them. Anna would say. "Yes, sir." To assist the man named Dryden. It was a little shocking to hear him speak about Anna's swordplay, she was a master at her own styles, but he didn't know that fully, giving that she is a low ranked Marine, and could just be talking big, but guess he didn't think in that way.

Anna had talked for a while, but well if nobody was going to listen at least she could try, even if it didn't work, that marine captain was paying more attention to Nola, Anna would sigh. Anna had alcohol before, but never got drunk, being a swordsman, she had to keep herself together unlike many others we know of the legend, in storybooks, but Anna was more formal and that. What Nola said could be said up in about one sentence, if only she thought it out.

Anna would turn bright red hitting the table yelling out. "You don't know it, and don't you dare!" She would look around the room, as maybe some eye's fell on her, from her outburst, but Anna thought they might be thinking what her measurements are, As she sat on the chair looking down on the floor bright red trying to get the thought out of her head. She really dislikes Nola more and more. But right now it was nothing she could do, but after today everything would be over with them, well she thought giving that the captain was gone.

Nola Finished her meal and the meal after that, and the meal after that one as well, easily packing away more food than someone five times her size, and seemingly with little effort, of course the resources was going into something as she used it to help her body prepare, constructing some of her bio ammo and the like, though as she heard Anna explode at her comment she looked over to the girl, she really did call it all down on herself at moments like this though to be honest Nola WAS trying to help her, she figured constant exposure would help her get over the whole issue, and it seemed to be working, if only a little, as now she was not taking it quietly at least, having actually burst out and yelled at her rather then just shutting down. so it was working, but not as much as she had hoped it would, perhaps a transfer to her ship would be in order?

Ether way Nola looked to everyone gathered and nodded a bit as Seth made his sales pitch and made sure to look at her and Anna when certain points came up, she was sure the man didn't want to have to deal with her and Anna hence part of the reasoning for splitting them up, or so she assumed anyway, and as the man in charge then reconfigured the whole set up to put them in the same group once again she still said nothing, she wasn't here to be a strategist, and she didn't have training in any such things, not on a level like this anyway, she also didn't know the protocols and procedures that the marines followed to be able to make a plan that could be easily carried out. So leaving it all up to the people who did know these things was simple enough.

Hearing Vance she nodded a bit "This ones got a good point, besides with the lack of people we have on this we need minor wounds taken care of and dealt with quickly to get those people back in the fight if needed, having medics in every group means that the small stuff can be dealt with and the fight continuing. not the best Idea but when we have such few numbers, and we can't call in extra support we can't really follow best practice anyway. sounds all good to me" she said as she finished off her sixth helping.

Seth examined those in the room, content with the plan they had set forward. He would rather not have to deal with people who aren't skilled combatants, but they raised a good point in having a medic in the field. If they could reduces casualties, it could help keep their front line stronger during the key moments in the fights. Looking over the plan once more, Seth seemed it reasonable to get a lay of the land. Turning towards the Commodore, he spoke directly to him. "Before the combat starts, I'm going to learn some of the ins-and-outs of the forest."

Seth stood, finishing his drink and still turning down food. He had rations with him in his pack, and would eat what was needed when he returned for the night. Overindulging would only lead to issues throughout the night, and during the fighting. Moving to leave the mess hall, he grabbed one of the spare maps, and began navigating his way through the park. Given the time, it was eerily quiet. Brushing off the tingling sensation of being watched, he continued making his way to the forest, looking for any useful terrain knowledge that would come with it.

As he arrived, he noticed that the trees provided an amazing canopy, blocking out a large amount of the moonlight and making anyone hiding within them nearly invisible. Already, changes were formulating in his mind regarding their plan. If the majority of the troops on this side were to hide in the trees...

They could get a huge tactical advantage with a sneak attack!

Not wanting to miss anything else, he quickly scanned through the rest of the area and tried to memorize the land as best as possible. Terrain, obstacles, and anything else that could provide and advantage when the fighting came.

Turning on his heel, he rushed back to the mess hall to communicate his findings.

With the group accepting his proposal, Antonio simply nodded. That was good, the fact that everyone here understood what they are going to do would be important. It was clear every single one of them wanted to save the civilians from harm, and it was the best way to do it. Somehow, he felt confident that they would counter this threat. With Seth seemingly ready to lead, together with Anna and Nola being clearly able for the task, he felt ready. He knew well enough of his men's capabilities, thus he had little worries about his own side. However, the three are newcomers, but they took their task seriously. That was fine. Even as Seth left the mess hall to do some recon, the older Marine had to applaud his enthusiasm. He just hoped it would not simply be for show.

" Well, seems like we have our affair in order. Ladies and gentlemen, I think you should get some rest. Tomorrow owuld be a tiring day after all. You know your quarters, so whenever you are done, you can go ahead and retire if you wish."

Captain Stark stated, feeling fatigue in his body as he looked around. There was a chance not everyone here would be around when this is done. He has already accepted that much. But just that fact was eating at him. Not being able to lead at the frontlines. No matter, he would have to place his trust at the younger generations for now.

Without any further words, he wheeled himself away, letting the rest eat their dinner as the discussion ended. Lev and Vance stayed behind, each of them taking their own portion of food and eating as well. The younger Stark already went away, clearly planning his own battle with his squad leader. There was plenty to prepare. Like Seth, there was no reason to not start now.

Anna would accept her task it didn't matter what it was she was a loyal marine, but it was many roads she herself didn't wish to cross. Being a marine you did many tasks that were wrong, which Anna herself didn't approve of, but if you rank up as a marine you could give the orders out, and maybe think of better ways of dealing with everyone. Nola sure could eat a lot more and one should it was easy to see that she was not a fighter if she was then fighting would be really hard after eating so much, Anna was still shy from that comment that was said, she really should try to learn to zone her out. Anna walked away but saying goodbye before doing so. "Thank you, for the meal." She thought it was time to do a little bit of training, she left and would get changed into her Miko outfit away from everyone, and when to the training ground ready to start. Her sister proved to Anna her skills had a lot more to grow, she couldn't even cut her once, and even her most powerful attack proved to be nothing.

She would start to swing her swords around cutting the air itself, she was fast like watching a graceful dance, each swing was on point. She was outside focusing on her power, and Haki, but not fully understanding that ability yet, Anna couldn't perform it. She would hold her sword up, closing both eyes. As she would wait, but in that second she would fire a blast out from her sword, it was pink in color, but before it hit the training dummy's it was gone, disappearing but Anna wanted that, she was better learning to control her aura. She wouldn't be doing this all day, as it got darker she would head back inside, to get some rest.

Seth returned to the Mess Hall in a flurry, hailing down the attention of Captain Vance. "I apologize for interrupting your meal. I imagine you haven't had much time to relax since news of this attack surfaced." Pulling out the map they had taken the majority of their notes on, he began outlining the trees, and drawing seemingly random arrows between the squadron positions.

"You see? If we were to hide our men in the tree tops, and make other areas of the island look more protected, It would give these pirates - Bright Eyes or not - a false sense of security. By the time they've anchored their ships, it will be too late to turn back. They'll be out-numbered and out-gunned." Seth took a second to catch his breath, and shrugged lightly "Theoretically at least."

Seth had to admit - He wasn't proudest of this plan. He would rather meet his opponent's head on, sacrifices be damned. However, despite his Bravado and Confidence, he still doubted his skill going up against any part of a Yonkou's crew. Strategy would be his best bet - everyone's best bet for that matter.

Turning to Vance, he waited for an opinion.

Nola watched as everyone took to their own devices, she herself needed more food to convert, and by this time a few of the others there had taken notice of the massive amount of food she was eating. Not that Nola cared, she knew the reason she was doing this, everyone had their own way of preparing for the coming fights, Nola had her own method, she needed resources to burn for her ammo and for her webbing, the more she had the less she needed to resort to other means of getting the resources she required, or worse having to stop to recover, by her understanding, the day of the battle would be quite bad, she could alleviate the need of weaving on the spot by making and stockpiling webbing bandages for use during the fight, she could also distribute them as they would be lighter and stronger then cotton bandages, and as she sat there eating as she got another massive plate full she looked to one of the others and waved them over.

"I will require a great deal more food, please have it sent to my quarters as I must prepare medical supplies for the battle, I will also need delivery people for the supplies to ensure they are handed out to all medics and medical points to ensure that they are well stocked." she said to the man as she stood up carrying the food with her as she headed out taking note of Seth rushing back in, and talking with them about strategy, that was his job, medical situations were hers, so she left him to the job we was best suited for, no reason to step on others toes when it was best to let them do the work they are trained for. Much like she would expect the others to do with her if it came to medical emergencies or situations.

As she headed to her room she slipped inside and started to prepare, taking out her mobile lab she started to concoct her pills and serums as well as weaving bandages out of her webbing, these would all slowly be stockpiled as she worked, making dosages for the fight, to at least give them a greater edge in the coming fight, any advantage could be the deciding factor, and she was going to be sure that they had as many as she could provide, she was making sure that the bottles of pills and vials of serum were clearly labeled, to allow the medics to know what they did, the bandages were also labeled and separated for use depending on severity of the wounds they are meant to treat, she might not be a fighter, but if anyone wanted to have a person that could help bolster the support supplies of a large group Nola wasn't a bad choice.

As the greater part of the group started to go off, only Vance was left when Seth returned. It would seem Seth already had a couple of plans thought out when he decided to move for the early recon, which did not entirely surprise the lady. Taking his plan into consideration, she had to admit it had value, with the ambush would at least derail the numbers that they would probably have over them.

" A sound plan, although it still depends on whether they would strike there or not. However, it would provide you with enough delay that the reinforcements should be able to reach you in time and assist you in battle. I do believe it would be an excellent plan to attempt. After all, you do have field command of this side, so if you believe it would be a worthwhile plan, it is under your command to do so. But even I have to admit, it would enable the forces to move to you as you delay the beginning of the attack."

Vance replied, passing back his plans. The night was getting darker, and they had little time before the beginning of the apparent assault. There was little need to expend their energies of issues that would come by tomorrow.

" A little advice, however. It is best you get some rest before the coming mission. Having your mind fatigued would ensure the destruction of your side. You are in command, and I am sure most of the Marines would follow your orders. So lead them to your best efforts."

She added as he finally gave the Marine a knowing nod, before moving past the marine, planning to retire herself into the room for some much needed rest.

The Next Day, Time 0624 Hours

At the sight of the rising sun, numerous officers and Marines have already stirred. The orders came out late last night, for the group of Marines to be ready for action at seven hundred hours. Whoever that was posted as sentries the night before would be rested until the afternoon, while the remaining group would be up and running for the upcoming events. The most important was of course the guards being posted at opposite ends of the island. Already, twenty handpicked Marines was beginning to stir, readying themselves for the duties they were going to plan out. Both Lieutenants Felton and Tombs were already at the courtyard, gathering the Marines there by the appointed time, awaiting the two leading patrol leaders as well as the remaining officers to come in.

Anna was still training in her many sword styles that she didn't learn from anyone, they belonged to her own way of the sword, well her own mother taught her the basics on swordplay, but Anna took them to new levels, she wished to improve on her styles. Anna was able to get some quiet time, away from Nola, who liked to annoy her all the time and just bother and bother her. She would start to do her meditation, for a swordsman, their mind must be clear and able to cut down anything that comes close to them, but only cutting what they wish, they must move like a river, power is not everything in swordsmanship. After sometime Anna would head to her bedroom and go to sleep knowing it was time to get some rest, ready for the battle that will come soon.

Anna would line up with the other marines, as they were waiting for the leaders for this mission, she was on time and ready for her task today, she needed to keep her mind sharp, in the end this was a pirate crew that had a captain able to match the marines strongest the admirals, even if she disliked that thought, it was true and being unable to see that was foolish.

Anna was lined up now ready to take orders like a loyal marine, and try and stay alive in this battle, but also fight for what she believed in, and that was justiced but it was unknown if the marines and herself had the same idea about that yet, but in the end Anna's own duty was to rank up, and try and make her ideas become more heard, and maybe get her sister on the marine side, but it was no way of doing that her bounty was too high.

Seth nodded, absorbing the words of the woman in front of him. Seth felt very confident, despite the odds they were looking at. Between the tactical superiority of Seth, along with the experience and strategical mind of Vance at High Command, their odds were looking better than ever. Saluting as Vance stepped past him, he held the form for a few seconds after he was alone in the room. Relaxing, he let his guard down entirely for the first time since arriving on this island - having spent the entire time on high alert to capture as much information as possible.

Falling into the seat he had taken to begin with, he poured himself one more drink and sipped it slowly, looking over his plans one last time - checking for anything he had overlooked or missed. Finally, feeling that he had done all the preparation he could, he finished his drink and retired to his own compartment.

Seth stretched, and dressed quickly. While slightly drowsy, it would quickly dissipate in the brisk morning air. Grabbing his officers coat on his way out, he threw it over his shoulders - and headed to the courtyard.

Meeting both Lieutenant's there, he nodded to them silently, taking place next to them calmly as the marines in front of him slowly came into formation. Looking around, he saw the weapon stands on the side of the courtyard. Moving to inspect them, he was honestly just waiting for 0700 hours at this point, ready to take charge of his men.

Satisfied that the equipment was decent, he looked at the rising sun and decided it was time. Stepping between the Lieutenants who were now at his back, and the men whom he faced, he cleared his throat quietly.

"ATTEN-SHUN!"

Seth was genuinely surprised at how quickly the marines in front of him fell into place, all looking warily at the unfamiliar officer. All held salutes, awaiting their orders. Seth looked through the marines present, and was satisfied, as of now rotations would keep all defenses at a good amount of marines to defend with.

"At Ease." Seth spoke out, the quiet morning carrying his voice across the small legion in front of him. They all relaxed, and remained facing Seth.

"My name is Lieutenant Commander Seth Dryden, I've been called in from Headquarters along with a few other select elite to defend this island. The Commodore will provide more insight as to what Im currently speaking about, however for now I need you all to seperate into four groups."

"To my right -" Motioning with his hand "I need all present marines whom specialize in Hand-to-hand combat!"

"To my left -" Motioning again with his hand "I need all present marines whom specialize in long-range combat, namely our sharpshooters or marksmen!"

"In front of me, I need all present marines whom specialize in swordsmanship"

"And Finally, if you have any combat medical experience - Meaning you know how to move around a battlefield while saving your fellow marines, I need you all to step off to the side for now!"

Looking forward as the marines in front of him moved around, he examined the group sizes and wasn't all surprised. The three combat oriented groups were all roughly the same size - which was pretty standard for most marine outposts. The combat medics were significantly smaller, about 1/3 of the combat groups, however that was perfect for their plans.

Moving through the marines, he numbered them off, 1 of each combat group along with one combat medic for each patrol. As the patrols separated and formed, he motioned for the lieutenants to join him, asking them both to hand out the equipment while they waited for High Command.

Just a few minutes after Seth arrived to handle his squad, so did as well the younger Stark. Andrew arrived looking weary, no doubt the night before did a number on him. He was not looking nervous, rather looking serious over the whole ordeal. After all, he was placed in charge of the frontal defense of the island. There was little need to show that he was panicking, if only that would dour the men under him.

Unlike Seth, he entered the courtyard without much of a word. Even the men under him, noticing his arrival, knew well enough being rigid around the man was not something he liked. It was not to say Andrew was lax, he just believed there was more important things to do than to be rigid. And these men were his men, personnel chosen specifically to be under his group. They have worked with the younger Stark for years, and they know well enough what is expected of him.

Fifteen minutes later, the arrival of the ranking officers bought immediate attention from almost everyone. The Commodore was expectedly the first of them to wheel into the courtyard, followed closely by Vance and Lev, each of them looking just as weary as the rest. But there was an intense gaze within Antonio's eyes. The day has finally come as they have been warned, and he has no wish to surrender the island to pirates without a proper fight.

" It seems we are all early. Good. Threats waits for no man."

The Commodore said in a loud voice, ensuring everyone was paying attention to him. He eyed everyone of them, each men from the island knowing well enough that was how he always was. Even though he lost the use of his legs, the man still exudes an aura of command over everyone.

" I am sure you all know what you are here for. Each and everyone of you would be the frontlines of our defense. We are to expect a possible attack from pirates on this island, pirates who may be affiliated with a certain man we all know. I am sure you all have heard the rumors, so there is little for me to hide. Maybe even Bright-Eyes himself would be coming over to show his powers. But nevertheless, we are Marines, and our orders are to secure this place. Lieutenant Stark and Lieutenant Commander Dryden would spearhead our defense. The former would take charge of our docks, where we can expect them if they plan to attack us head on, and Lieutenant Commander Dryden would move towards our rear, where there are still forests and a shoreline in which they could beach and move against us. Captain Vance and Commander Stefano, as well as myself, would take charge of handling communications and reinforcements here at HQ. Remember, we are Marines, and it is our duty to protect the people on this island."

Antonio took a breath, looking again at the twenty plus people gathered in front of him. He could only hope it would be enough until reinforcements come to them when the battle starts.

" Squad Leaders! Take your communications as well as weapons and ammunitions. I advise you to place supply crates at certain points to ensure you maximize your defense. We should expect the pirates to outnumber us, so do not take the chance and inform us when they are spotted. Captain Vance, the Commodore and myself will have personal comms to be informed of the situation. Good luck to you all."

Lev added, signalling to both groups to move towards the armory to gather their items. Andrew immediately signalled five men from his group to follow him, moving in immediately and gathering his supplies. His mind was already placing specific points where he could place the extra ammo and guns. After all, they had more guns than men. It was best they use that to their own advantage. Maybe even have some pre-loaded guns ready if they ever were pushed back deeper into the island.

Anna herself was not a high ranking marine, but had the skills to keep up with the ones that did, and the ability to think as fast as them. As all the officers gave their salutes she would do the same thing as them, but when he said at ease Anna put down her hands with the rest of the marines, but someone was missing the young doctor, Anna wonders where she could be? But oh guess it didn't matter, the doctor could be placed somewhere else, this was the line of marine officers after all. He started to call and the moment he said people that specialize in swordsmanship, Anna started to walk forward being the first one there, and the rest followed suit.

Anna started to make her way into the squad, she was given, but when ready to gain her equipment from the marines Anna said. "No thank you, I will be fine." She had her swords, the two that have won her many battles, her prize rose sword, and her family sword both had meaning to this young swordsmen. So she made her way with only the two weapons. Anna stayed in line with all the marines as the high ranking ones came ready to give their orders for this big battle.

Anna agreed with everything the man said, it was their duty to keep everyone safe, she knew if bright-eyes came it was a big chance someone here had zero chance of beating him, it takes a Marine Admiral to even be evenly matched for that power. She would now walk with her squad to where ever the captain ordered them all to go. Anna needed to be ready, this was bright-eyes after all, a man that has destroyed several islands, on his own, showing his evil power.

It was at about this time that Nola walked in she had been standing just outside the doors listening to what was going on, she felt since almost alll things said were directed at marines, she didn't really have a need to walk in earlier, as the main points had been discussed she walked over to all the medics "Please remember that the smaller bandages are for the lesser wounds, don't use the larger bandages unless the wound requires it, if you need more there is a stock pile in my room here so take a few with you each and set them along with the other equipment being set at the resupply points, if any are far to injured to fight evacuate them to the civilians area, I do not want anyone staying to fight beyond their ability to do so, they will only slow down any squad they are part of, and make the squads worry about them rather then fighting as best as they could understood? if you have to sedate the heavily wounded that try any of that nonsense" she looked from one medic to another and they all agreed though it was clear some didn't like it.

"The lives of the injured are important, we have a duty as medical professionals to see to their safety, some may have more heart them brains, that's when we have to step in and remind them that sometimes they have ot put their faith in others, understood?" she asked and the Medics seemed to better understand her point, with that She nodded and headed over to the other two, looking back and forth between them "So then are you two ready to fight?" she asked as she held up a pair of silk padded earmuffs and handed them to Anna "Here use these, you know why, they have a tiny Den den in them so we can keep in contact with you, you don't have to use them if you don't want to, but I would be a horrible doctor if I didn't at least attempt to help when I knew of something" she didn't wait for Anna to take them she simply placed them in her hand and then looked to Seth.

"I believe there is no mistaking that I have little to no combat ability, that said I will try my best to help if I can. However please keep in mind that I am no combat medic, my place is in a hospital or a lab not a battlefield, if your expecting me to understand the slang that trained military personnel use then you are mistaken, that won't stop me from trying to protect the civilians that the higher ups in the marines didn't want to save by evacuation. That said I am putting a small measure of faith in you as you at least came up with a plan to protect the civilians...eventually..." she handed Seth two pills, an Adamant pill plus and a Might pill plus "these might come in handy only take them if you absolutly need them though...the red one will make you a little stronger while the blue one will make you a little tougher, they are not amazing things but every little bit helps"

With that she looked to Anna once more "Normally I would offer you some as well however I have the feeling that you would not take them, if however you want them simply ask me for some" she nodded to the two of them, the whole time her voice had been monotone and her face continued to have that bored expressionless look to it.
