Thankfully, William had agreed to allow Zommari to be the one to eat the winged dinosaur from earlier on. Zommari was still a little peeved at the fact that that creature had attempted to eat him, so what better way to go about his revenge than to eat the creature? Before the two could eat however, he was going to need to help William find dry twigs and such. Zommari being as is however had decided to instead help out in a much grander way. As the two began to look around for twigs and an open clearing to set up their little fire spittle, Zommari had decided to slip away for a moment. In that time period, he would begin to think to himself. Honestly, this island is so humid that almost any type of wood would be helpful in the matter of setting up a fire for our meal. Continuing his walk through the dense forest, creatures from all about began to glare at Zommari. He knew that when he had come to this island that such a thing would happen, but honestly didn't care enough about that right now to even think about it. His sole desire now was food and if anything was going to get in his way, he was going to ensure their downfall. That was when things began to change slightly. Movement could be heard from the bushes nearby, obviously showing that there had been some sort of creature lurking near by. In order to try and lead this creature into have a false sense of security, he had simply decided to try and pretend that it wasn't there. For now at least. Just when Zommari had begun to grow tired of waiting for this creature to come out of the wood works, a rather minuscule Compsognathus had leapt from out of the bushes and began to head directly towards Zommari. This creature had clearly been starving for food and attempting to eat Zommari. He wasn't about to let such a thing happen to him though. Once the creature had come within a rather close proximity of him, Zommari would use his tail to push off to the side and out of the way of the Compsognathus. The creature had been rather stunned by what had just happened, so it most definitely wasn't expecting what happened next. Just as the creature had turned around to see Zommari, he had been rushing at the creature. Both of them began to rush towards one another at this point, forcing Zommari to leap into the air and come down hard with his tail against this creature. With that swift and decisive attack, the creature had gone done. It was probably one of the weakest things on this island, but Zommari didn't need to know that. Instead of simply sitting by now, Zommari picked up the unconscious Compsognathus, stating that it would make for a good meal and than carrying that in addition to whatever dry twigs he could find along the way to the small campground where the new fire would be set up. Once he had arrived at this fire pit, Zommari would toss the body of the Compsognathus towards William and than begin to do exactly what it was that he had wanted. He began to defeather the birds as he spoke about his people. "I honestly couldn't tell you much myself. I wasn't born amongst my people, but instead, here in the grand line on an island called Neptunia. My people however are said to live in this place called Green Bit in the New World. They are very strong individuals. Certainly far stronger than I am. Why do you ask?" |

Will was impressed by the size of the creature Zommari captured, and started roasting it first, wanting to try the newest taste before the ones he had tried before. I bet this guy is going to be delicious. he thought to himself. He had also took care to place the bird Zommari requested on the spit in the beginning, so as not to forget it. In the meantime, he continued conversing with the shipwright. "No particular reason, it's just hard not to be a bit curious when you meet a new race of people, and I fancy myself a navigator, so I always like to learn about new places. I've never been near Neptunia, at the other side of the grand line, and I only really have rumor based knowledge of the New World. To be honest, now I'm definitely more exicted about going there." After a little while, the first batch of meat was about done, so William removed the vulturous bird first and offered it to Zommari: "There you go! One delicious roasted revenge bird." He then took part of the Compsognathus for himself, and tasted it: "Damn! This is incredibly tasty. Nice catch man. It's amazing!" The hunter realized that he was actually shouting out of enthusiasm and took another bite, as if to distract himself and curb his enthusiasm, but that only served to enflame his desire to have more. By the time he had enough, there was only about one third of the animal left for Zommari. "Ah, sorry I think I got carried away and ate most of your game. hahahaha" he laughed a bit nervously, before taking a seagull off the big crude roasting spit and occupying himself by eating it. The doctor then remembered his own shipmates, and that he should also save some of the seagulls for them, so he refilled the empty space on the roasting spit with a few more birds. As Zommari had been speaking with William, the human began to place both the compsognathus that Zommari had previously caught, in addition to the bird like creature that William himself caught earlier, onto the fire spittle. Zommari wasn't sure how the food would taste when it was done, but he was sure that it would come out alright. This had shown to be true as time had passed and the smell of the creatures began to fill the air. Just from the aroma that had been around them, he could tell that these meals would turn out simply wonderful. Zommari began to smirk a bit as he had heard Williams words. So my words are actually inspiring in this matter huh? That's awesome! He than began to chuckle to himself a bit. "I won't lie, I am also excited for the New World-resu. Although I myself am a tontatta, I honestly know very little about my people. I am looking forward to seeing what my people are really like-resu! However, my duties as a marine are what keep me located here in the Grand Line. Perhaps as I go up in the ranks, I shall be aloud to move on forward towards the New World. Thus allowing for me to complete two of my goals-resu." With this, a shadow had been cast over Zommari's eyes. "I won't lie, learning about my culture and where I come from is certainly one of my motivating factors-resu. However, my main reason for wanting to head into the New World is to defeat the big human Pirate known as Bright Eyes-resu. You should be lucky that my home island of Neptunia is on the other side of the grand line. Because of that, you wont have to bare witness to the destruction that Bright Eyes caused my home-resu... The entire island was flipped over and destroyed and all that is left is whatever the big humans on the island left behind. Not for very long though, since I am sure that there are scavengers and Bright Eyes enthusiasts crawling all over my islamd-resu... Fucking fiends ..." Realizing how dark of a turn that moment had taken, Zommari hops up onto his feet and apologizes. "Please forgive me for that. The entire situation is troublesome to me-resu..." With this, Zommari takes a deep bow and than awaits for his meal to be finished cooking. Once it is, Williams hands it on over to him. Eager to change the subject at hand, Zommari begins to bury his face into the bird, eating as much as he could as fast as he could. And with how little time Marines actually have to eat, that happens very quickly. Soon Zommari is finished with his meal and no longer desiring anything else. Once William apologizes for eating the majority of the compsognathus. Zommari simply waves it off. "Don't worry about it. Take the rest with you. In return, all that I ask is for a ride back over to my ship once our time together comes to an end. I will need to get back before anyone realizes that I am missing." |

The docter listened in silence to Zommari's explanation about the tragedy of Neptunia. He had somehow forgotten to link the island to the apocalyptic event which befell it, more preoccupied with thinking about the wonders of the New World and imagining what Green Bit would be like. Now that the Tontatta spelled it out though, William found himself wondering about Bright Eyes, and by extension, about Red Queen. He shut that thought down before it fully formed in his brain. There will be plenty of time to worry about the Red Queen when he's stronger, now the only things which should be on his mind are training, eating and hunting bounties. "Don't worry about it, I have been to war zones before, and I know how difficult it is. The food sucecssfully took William's mind off the looming threat of the Yonko for a while. "Thank you. And of course I will give you a ride." responded William in an amiable tone between bites of seagull. "I have just the right idea to get you there unnoticed." When they were finished eating, the musketeer stood up and stretched his bdoy for a bit. I should have probably trained a bit more before eating. Now I'm sleepy. he thought to himself, as he removed his coat and gathered the rest of the grilled seagull in it, using it like a sack. These guys better be grateful I'm ruining my coat with grease to get them something delicious to eat. He then proceeded to put out the fire with his boot, before speaking to Zommari: "Are you ready for the ride? Jump on my back." William transformed into a bird again, but this time he completely slipped out of his clothes, and let them fall to the ground. It wouldn't do to attract too much attention while taking the Tontatta back to his ship, and a clothed bird was just the right thing to get people looking up at the sky and telling their friends to look up too. As Zommari had been dwelling deep within his own thoughts, William began to speak up. He had stated that he had seen war zones before hand, and that he had completely understood what Zomari had been going through. Upon hearing this, Zommari began to think a little more to himself. He was grateful for the fact that there had been others out there in the world that had acknowledged what it was that the pirates around this world had done to this place. He honestly had no idea that anyone outside of the marines could understand what it was that the war torn countries and hazardous pirates had caused. It was a nice relief to know that he wasn't alone out in the world in this aspect. This had brought him some closure on the matter. A slight smile than began to form upon Zommari's face as he had spoke up to the big human. "Well than perhaps we can work together some day to stop such occurrences from happening. It would be nice to have you by my side." Zommari had been feeling a little better now, but had realized that with his talks taking a dark turn, it was perhaps time to get headed out. Thankfully, William had stated that he was completely fine with taking him back to his ship. He had even gone as far as to tell the tontatta to hop onto his back. For a brief moment, Zommari was a tad bit confused. How does he plan on getting me back to my ship? Is he going to take me aboard his ship and back on over towards my ship from there? That would ruin the point of my attempts of hiding the fact that I had snuck off the ship. If I get caught, I will get in so much trouble and possibly demoted or even kicked off the force! Zommari began to worry himself until he had realized exactly what it was that the man had meant. With his smile now growing wider and his eyes doing the same, he began to shout out, "Your going to take me to my ship as a vulture?!" Once William had transformed into a bird, Zommari began to laugh in excitement. "That's amazing! I can't wait to soar through the skies on the back of my new companion!" With this, he had taken a powerful leap up off of the ground and up onto William's hat. He had been very excited to get to soar through the skies once again, but was a little caught off guard by the fact that the zoan user had begun to take off his clothing. In an attempt to try and keep that thought out of his mind, lest his ask why, Zommari simply sat down onto the mans hat and prepared to soar through the skies. Once William had been set, the two would begin soaring through the skies and on over towards the ship that Zommari had been traveling on. After a while of traveling, the two would end up over the ship. With the thought of the fact that he was going to have to go now, Zommari had simply began to snuggle onto Williams hat. "It was nice getting to both know you a little and to train with you. It was certainly an honor-resu. Thanks for the ride and I hope to see you again in the future-resu." With this, William had leapt from off of the mans hat and down towards the flattened top of a nearby mast. Once he had landed onto the mast, he would take a seat on the edge of it and simply stare out at the sea. I had such a nice time today. Perhaps such a thing shall happen again in the future. I loo forward to seeing that big human again someday. |

Taking care not to leave his affairs on the ground, William grabbed his clothes with his talons, his sword being strapped to the belt and the left over meat tucked in his coat, and flew away, making a quick halt at his own ship to drop everything, before soaring upwards to find Zommari's ship. The island grew smaller and smaller the higher he went, but he couldn't see a ship anchored anywhere near it, until his eye caught a ship in the distance, sailing through the sea past Little Garden, as if it hadn't left a passenger on the island. I guess they really didn't realize he wasn't there. thoughtthe vulture as he made his way towards the marine ship. On the ship, he stood on the top of the mast, above the crow's nest. "I hope we meet again someday too." William responded to Zoammari. "The sea is a big place after all." and with that William made his way back to Shark, and dressed himself to resume his training. Hours later.... William was surrounded with a trail of trees which he had mutilated in his attempts to cut them clean in half. An avide observer would have been able to realize which tree he had tried to cut first and which he had last, simply because the first one was really no longer recognizable as a tree, while the last one had only needed two swings to fall down. Damn these things are hard. he cursed silently. Shaking the negative thought from his head, he took the cloth near his feet, and proceeded to clean his sword from the sap. He then chose a fresh tree. I should just focus on the cut. he thought solemnly, before trying a cut at the air. There was a moment in there where he thought he heard something, something coming from the tree, and the ground, and the grass. His attention was pulled away from it by his sword. Artemis, it was called. William wasn't one to believe in legends, but some called her "mistress of the wild". He tried another swing, smiling slightly, and heard it again. The third time, his body moved towards the tree as he swung Artemis, and the rapier went through the thick hard wood sideways with one fluid motion almost like it was butter, so much so that the tree didn't fall, only slid a few inches to one side. He kicked it to make sure it had been cut properly, and it finished falling slowly to the ground. |

Thank you for your patience. Your storyline has been reviewed.
So William's Grand Line Route has been Two Custom Islands - Romulin - Las Arcadas - Nemea - Las Arcadas - Kyuka Island - Brick Blues - Flint Island - Little Garden? Is that right? I have never had to enforce the traveling rules before but your case is exceptionally silly. Could you please follow travel rules for the Grand Line on this character now? No more hopping about at random until route freedom is achieved... you've used your island skip on Drum Island. Kyros ended up hitting the SD cap Enjoyable read overall, thanks both of you for writing it! |

I wouldn't normally reply to SL notes, but Shamma clearly asked me a question in public, I can't very well ignore an Admin like this.
The short answer is: No, that's not right. I have been following the rules since the beginning. And you don't have nearly enough information to judge the silliness of my case or lack there of. But yes, I won't jump around anymore until I achieve full route freedom. The long answer is: Let's start with me electing to start with a custom island, rather than one of the starting islands of paradise. At the time, route freedom was still associated with the character slot, not the lone character, so William inherited Brick Blues from his previous incarnation Jack Trade. This was sanctioned by multiple staff members at the time, but it's too long ago for me to remember the details, or care to find them. So the first custom island was a replacement for Island 2, of the same route, which is Teufort. The second custom island was a replacement for Kyuka. Romulin was a Jack Trade SL, not even a William Salty SL. And an ME on top. Late grading. You remember Axel right? Las Arcadas was an ME. Nothing wrong with jumping to do an ME, according to the rules. Nemea's an island 3. I already had island 3 freedom. Las Arcadas. I already completed an SL on Las Arcadas at this point, so I was free to go back there, or to any other island 6 I wished to go to. Kyuka Island. Already did an island 3 SL, so same as above. Brick Blues. You updated the rules at this point in time and clarified that scoops can't inherit route freedom. I think it's silly, and designed to hinder people, but I still went back to Brick Blues and did an SL to fill that hole, because I had a hunch there would come a day when you'll scrutinize my route freedom. Didn't know I was going to be first though. Flint Island. I used my skip on Plantenal to reach Flint Island. Little Garden. I already have a custom replacement for island 2, so all islands 2 are open. Albasta. I didn't use a skip to reach Alabasta. I have access to Alabasta through Kyuka diagonally, and Fudo, who I'm RPing with in that SL (aka "traveling with" to use the term used in the rules), has access to Alabasta through its normal route. Overall, I think this is more a case of, when someone gets closer to full route freedom, moving around becomes easier gradually, so it might seem silly from the outside, but it's not at all silly when you get all the information you need. And by the way, I'm glad you enjoyed reading this SL :) Edited by Franky, Apr 29 2017, 03:14 PM.
