Blade growled under his breath, he didn't like playing the waiting game. While they sat around and counted mouth swabs and pain relievers, their crew could be in the jaws of who knows what. Maybe a mile long cockroach of half digested in a t-rex, the possibilities really were endless. Blade paced back and forth, finally going back to the wood pile and helping move the large pieces closer to the ships for final sorting. It would be up to Wolf to properly fit these pieces, he seemed decent with repairs to the ship as she was.

It was in that moment Blade noticed something dark in the water, a few bubbles gurgled to the top as the shapes approached the ship. Blade's eyes narrowed as he dropped the wood he was carrying and and ran up the dock of the ship. He grabbed his gauntlets and jumped up onto the raining.

"Come on out!", Blade roared as he slashed the air, "Pack Hunting Strike!". The air in front of his claws ripped and was torn as the shock wave ripped through it, the shape of wolves on the charge appeared before him as they went right into the water causing a huge explosion in the water. The water splashed everywhere soaking the shores on the mooks. The river level dropped grammatically and the three sea monsters were mostly exposed.

Blade pointed at the creatures, their heads and backs were exposed to the open air. "SHOOT!", Blade called, "Aim and Fire!!!", the crew within the ship where scattering to do as they where told.

It was annoying Ant greatly that they could do little more than wait around, without anything more to do than ensure the medical supplies were fully equipped and in order to face whatever would come their way in the coming days. Ant also took the time to create a blend of painkillers utilising the plant cuttings he collected earlier in order to amplify their effectiveness without the traditional side effects. He'd even set to work preparing some of the other plants for use to fight infection, it was usable but it was crude and it'd take time to perfect their usage.

Ant thought it was going to be a clear evening with nothing turning up, ready to look for the crew if they didn't return soon. But he was to be proven wrong, he was just leaving the ship. He noticed Blade shortly before the creatures, they really weren't having any luck with sea monsters huh. He cursed under his breath as Blade's attack practically soaked everybody. He hated water these days, he used to like it before he became a Zoan.

He wasted no time loading a cannonball and firing it straight at one of the sea monsters, his aim was perfect at this distance and the mooks knew it. They kept feeding cannonballs to him, and he kept bombarding the monsters. He thought they were all taken down until one sprouted up mere inches from the cannon "Holy shit!" He shouted as he fired one last shot off at point blank, blowing the monster's head off. He held his hand over his chest, good lord that was scary as hell. He just hoped he'd actually taken them all out, and they didn't somehow survive or have back up. He did not like water, and he certainly didn't like water based monsters.

As Shadow moved, the raptors moved to intercept him, attempting to strike him down. They knew they were fast, but the terror they witnessed still echoed in their minds, slowing down their reactions. They were struck with fear, as a dark figure moved closer, only thing they could see were those eyes. Those eyes that screamed death... They hesitated to move, but Shadow didn't as he leaned down placing his katans by his side, pointing to the side. He was ready to strike, but this wouldn't be so easy, and he knew that. The raptors were fierce creatures, with sharp claws almost as big as his swords.. As he moved closer, one of them jumped at Shadow, attempting to slash him with his claw but the pirate managed to block the attack and attempt to strike with the other katana, but as he saw first hand they were fast.. The creature easily dodged the attack, but as he was distracted by it the other one attacked from the side. Shadow saw it coming, so quickly docking he managed to avoid a fatal attack, aimed at his throat. The two now stood back, watching him. They smiled, as he was outnumbered, he was at a disadvantage.. but one thing they didn't know is that Shadow thrives in these situations, and what does outnumbered mean? More targets to kill. "Guess you thought you could take us down that easily.." the two laughed as they began scattering and running all over the place.

They were fast, faster than before. It appeared as blurred lines were brushing past him, but they were moving so fast and consistently that they made a circle around him that he could clearly see. They brushed past him a couple of times, not hurting him, just trying to show their dominance in the situation. But Shadow chuckled a little, as he just stay still. One of them getting pissed off, now attempted to strike him, but similarly to the previous situation Shadow moved and dodged the attack as he attempted to slash the lizards gut open. And he thought he did, he could tell the trajectory of the blade was going in the right direction, but he underestimated their reactions. They were ready this time, so the lizard avoided the fatal injury, just barely. "Do you think the same trick will work on me again?" Shadow asked as he laughed. They made it easy for him, he figured out the way to know when they were going to strike and when they were just mocking him. When they had their fun, and rushed past him he could taste no kill intent in the air, but as soon as this attack commenced the blood thirst was bad, really bad. And for somebody as Shadow, who basks in this feeling in combat, it was easy to differentiate between a false attack and a deadly one. Turning towards them once again he would say "Come little pups, don't be scared. I'm only getting started"

As the party turned to face the ominous sounding voice that had announced itself to them, they would be met with the terrifying sight of glowing eyes, peering towards them in hunger and anger. This fearsome gaze belonged to none other than a dinosaur, a metallic box strapped along its neck, with metal boots strapped to its feet as it slowly stomped towards them, the beast's feet thundering across the ground as it did so. With a hushed silence, the mooks of the crew all leaped behind their leader, the First-Mate of the crew, whose knife was now held in a defensive manner in her hands. Taking a small gulp, Blair would reaffirm it to point it towards the beast in a threatening manner, holding a more aggressive pose as she leaned forwards. The knife's edge was held in an accusing manner.

"Targets? You sure you want to throw that out there?" she'd ask, her eyes scanning the darkness behind the dinosaur, looking for the owner of the voice. "I'll have you know, that I've taken on more men that you'll probably think to fight," she'd smirk, holding up a cocky demeanour, her tongue lightly running along her lower lip in anticipation. As the beast took another, heavy step forwards, it revealed itself to be a Stegosaurus. Its small head was connected to a large, bulky body with spines jutting along its back, each face of which would have the number eight drawn on it. The beast would continue to stare directly at her, its intelligent eyes scanning her as if it were sizing her up. With a loud snort from its nose, it would shake its head before the box on its next lit up.

"I am familiar with your records; Blair Flannigan," the dinosaur would reply. Its voice was a deep, masculine one, the metallic sound to it giving him a foreboding tone to it. As he'd stare at Blair, the entire group's eyes would widen as their jaws slackend, Blair almost losing grip of her knife. The dinosaur was talking. Talking to them.

"Are you kidding me...?" she'd ask in disbelief. "There's a dinosaur talking to me... Some weird, tattooed dino - " and before she had a chance to finish her sentence, the new creature gave the instant retort of, "stegosaurus." Blair nodded, her jaw still hanging agape, the hand of a mook reaching behind her back to close it for her, which she'd promptly, yet quietly, thank him for. A thumbs up was given before the hand slid back behind her, to retreat among the other mook hands, who were shaking with worry and shock. "Men, stay back. I'm really not sure what we're dealing with here," she warned, readying her blade. It was now that she wished she had a few more techniques under her belt.

Blade did his best to direct and centralize the attacks. It was nearly like some huge game of wach-a-mole, the moment a monster appeared Ant shot it down. The heavy cannon balls broke scales, teeth, snapped their fins and exploded in their faces. After a few seconds, it seemed they began to lose faith in their attack. Usually when they attacked the ships where empty or mostly so. They hadn't ever had to deal with a real ship that was fully capable of defensing itself. Or at least, these few didn't before.

Blade was even pleased when one, got it's whole head blown off. It seemed to be going well, the monsters were starting to dip away, limping, and hurting. Many had some serious injuries on them too. But one stayed, snarling at the ship and lifting itself almost completely out of the water, it was huge! It's scales were jagged, teeth already broken from previous battles. This one had seen war before, the scars on it's bodies attested to it's many battles.

Blade cracked is knuckles at the creature, it wasn't a fight. Blade called below deck to Ant, "Anthony! Get everything ready to depart. I'm not waiting until sunset to search for the crew.", he snarled loudly at the creature that roared back. The very wind from this beast rippled the sails of the ship, saliva and old fish chunks accompanied the huge roar, coating Blade in both. Blade growled, wiping his face of saliva and fish pieces and grimaced. The smell was revolting, and made him sick, he groaned loudly, it was so gross!

The ancient sea beast rushed toward, head first and mouth opened, wanting nothing more then to rip off the front of the ship, and Blade along with it. Blade grinned ear to ear, his body shifted and he launched himself forward. He was still in mid transformation, changing from his human form his his Striker form as the monster snapped it's jaws closed around Blade and the front part of the Dawn Challenger, ripping up the Bowsprint. Blade only needed a few seconds to finish changing.

He nearly passed out from the smell inside of the dinosaur, it opened it's jaws a little to crunch down, but Blade refused to be food. He had come to far, and done to much to become dino poo on an island he didn't even really know. "Chew on this! Shigan!", he roared as he jabbed at the roof of the creature's mouth. The soft tissue of the mouth was absolutely shredded, Blade jumped up, literally digging himself out of the beast by tearing through flesh, bone and cartilage. With one final push, Blade ripped his way out of the top of it's head. The beast roared as it's eyes rolled back, it's body falling down into the water. Blade ran forward, jumping off the beast and landing back on the deck of the ship. He panted heavily, covered in blood, spit and rotting fish. He groaned, the smell made him sick he scrambled to the edge of the ship and hurled what little food he had eaten for the day. He groaned and laid down for a moment, maybe he should have thought of something different. He laughed to himself, but it was fun.

"Do we have any towels?", Blade said between pants, not even bothering to see if Ant was even around.

They were struck with fear. Shadow was by no means a harmless pirate, oh no. They made a mistake when they decided to attack him, and especially somebody he cared about. That drives him like nothing else. The two would stand back a bit, looking at each other. They were reluctant in their next move. Finally on of them moved. They went for a straightforward attack this time. He wanted a battle of strength? Well, than strength challenge he would get. They clashed, Shadow prompting his katanas against the beasts claws. He was getting pushed a bit, he didn't predict such strength from an overgrown lizard. He lowered his stance a bit, getting more power from his legs. He was finally managed to push the creature back, when the other one attacked. "Playing dirty.. figures" he'd mutter, as he redirected the force from the first one to the side so he could safely avoid the other one.

He needed to take one of them down, before he could move on to the next. He loosened up his left katana's chain, a bit, but carefully without them noticing. He than rushed to the lizard on the left, attempting to strike him horizontally. Of course, he managed to block Shadow's attack, but that was just the thing he expected him to do. He used the momentum of his swing, and the surface of his katana to slide down the raptors claw and forcefully rotate himself. Just as he would start rotating he would swing his left arm outwards releasing his katana. The trajectory was carefully directed towards the other raptor. It came as a surprise, as the katana came out of nowhere. Shadow rotated his torso, and together with the force he accumulated threw the sword. It was followed by the sounds of chains, but.. it was still to late to dodge. Shadow didn't get to see when the mark hit the target, as he tried to move away from the other raptor as soon as possible, but he felt a tug. He could only guess that the katana got jabbed into.. "Haha, nice idea" a voice would say. "But, It was still not fast enough". Shadow's eye's would widen. The katana he trew did get caught, but not in the matter he hoped it would be. He could see the Baryonyx holding he blade, which he caught with his claws. "You two, move out" he roared as he looked at them "He is mine.."

With her crew quickly retreating behind the safety of another tree, Blair couldn't help but notice that the Stegosaurus wasn't keeping track of them at all. It's fierce, glowing reddish brown eyes instead focusing solely on her. Why on earth was a talking beast, which was meant to have been extinct, focusing on her? She couldn't tell. All she knew was that her senses were kicking in, being on board a pirate ship filled with members who were able to transform into killer beasts allowed her to hone in on her skill of scanning for someone's killer's intent, and this dinosaur in front of her had it trained to zero in on one target. It wasn't a normal wild beast, it was a trained, lethal weapon.

"I can tell you want a piece of me, mind if I ask why?" Blair attempted to ask it, trying to see if she could gleam any information from the bizarre situation, trying to ignore the fact that the entire scene was playing out at all. The blade in her hand glinted light, the small beam catching against the dinosaur's sharp scales that protruded from its back. "Irrelevant," it replied. "Fantastic."

The Stegosaurus would then lunge forward. Despite its size, the powerful muscles on its legs was able to take it farther than Blair thought would be possible. Leaping up into the air, the pirate tried to avoid the attack, but to her surprise, the spines along this back shot forward, extending, which was something she doubt they were meant to do. As two hit against her foot and bent leg, she'd close her mouth to repress a cry of pain, her body being tossed further into the air.

Whilst airborne though, she would be allowed a good angle to attack the massive beast. "Aren't you light footed for such a large thing, Budget Cut!" Blair growled, her blade whipping through the air as a blast of cutting air fired forwards, rocketing towards her opponent. The Stegosaurus growled in response before it attempted to sidestep, getting its skin grazed along the side of its body. "Stegosaurus," it responded, evidentally disliking being called a 'thing.' As Blair landed, she rolled along the ground, ending by a large tree trunk. As her head whipped around to face her opponent, her hair waving around her face.

Charging towards her was the Stegosaurus, its loud feet thundering as it did so, its head lowered. "Demolition Eight," it growled, kicking off with its back legs as the rest of its body leaned in on itself, the spines along this back extending once more, transforming into a large, piercing weapon.

Blade got up slowly, he smelled absolutely disgusting and the mere smell of himself made him feel sick. He feared changing into any of his forms would make him vomit immediately due to their sense of smell. He looked at the sky, it was almost sunset anyway. With the monsters in the water gone, the Dawn Challenger was safe for the time being. Blade walked inside the ship and quickly washed off, and changed into new clothes. Although he was clean, he still felt sickeningly gross.
~~~~~~~~~
After he was cleaned up he walked to the edge of the ship and called out. "Last Chance! Come with me or be left behind!", he called out to Anthony. He honestly didn't want to leave Ant alone, half his crew had already left and had yet to return. His eyes scanned the jungle for movement, and it was like every little leaf trembled with the possibility of hiding a monster.
Ant heard the captain's orders and shouted back over to him "Aye captain" he wasted no time hurtling through the ship to grab the last of his things and emergency medical supplies. He couldn't be sure that the ship was going to survive so he had to get what he could now or people could die preventable deaths. He was glad he was below deck, because even from there he could smell the foul breath of the beast. Good lord that made his bedroom from five years ago smell appealing which was saying something.
He barked orders at nearby mooks, ordering them to gather specific items ready to leave; including food, tools and weapons. He was worried about Blade fighting that monster, so when he came on deck to see no Blade his heart skipped a beat. Though, he wished he didn't have to see what he did because that was absolutely disgusting. He grabbed a large towel of a nearby mook and threw it on Blade's head "That is being incinerated once you're done with it. It's beyond cleaning" he said bluntly, more accurately he wouldn't put himself or some poor mook through the horror of attempting to make it fit for human use again.
Ant was pinching his nose in an attempt to stop the smell getting into his lungs any more than it already had, it made his voice sound rather funny but he didn't care. He looked out towards the island then back at Blade "We're ready to head off and I've got all the medical stuff ready. I'll let you use your ears to guide the way. If trouble is going down I trust you to hear it when we're close" Being a bird was cool and all, but he was annoyed he didn't have super sensitive senses for times like this. It'd probably be useful for crafting medicine and spotting poison too.
As the Baryonyx roared, he would immediately disperse from Shadow's view. He would imagine he was using the same tactics as the lizards before, so he tried to sense the blood lust, but than.. "Arghh.." Shadow would scream out, as the claw mark appeared on his right tight. The raptor laughed, as he stood tall, looking down on him. "You thought to use the same tricks, again? Oh no, that will not work on me..". The pirate was at a disadvantage now. He was barely keeping up with the smaller ones before, even if he didn't give that impression. The slight differences he could sense in attacks were possible, because the smaller ones were easily read but this one.. "We shall see." Shadow spoke confidently, even if he was not sure if he was capable of defeating such a foe. He shook his head, positioning himself lower, not attempting to underestimate his opponent.
The Baryonyx just laughed, as he disappeared again. Shadow could hear a slight laugh here and there, but after the third one he swung his katana... He missed, but the lizard didn't. "Hmm, not bad" he spoke as he disappeared again. Shadow needed to adjust his eyes accordingly, he needed something he could track. He slowed down his breathing, trying to calm down. His vision blurred a bit, but he focused his sight in one direction. The lizard noticed his motionless, and as he did he moved closer again. Shadow decided not to move, absorbing the blow, feeling like his arm got ripped apart but it was not in vain. "If you want to die, you just need say so" he laughed as he looked at the pirate. Shadow moved his mask, as he made a big smile, he wanted to make sure he sees it "I figured you out" he'd say as his teeth would still be in a smiling position, gritting with enough force to bite though a bone. He may be smiling, but the pain he was in, oh he was going to repay it tenfold.
Blade grabbed the towel and growled lowly. "I promise Ant. However bad I smell to you, I smell 1,000 times worse to myself". He went to the bathroom and scorched himself with hot water until his skin turned red trying to make the smell go away. In the end, he got a good majority of it, until it was more of a small annoying scent. He had no doubt it would take him a few days to rid himself of the reeking scent. Just the thought of it made his skin crawl and his nose want to run off. But he didn't have time to cry about it, his crew might need him. And ever second spent on this island was a chance for something bad to happen to them.
~~~~~

Returning to deck, Blade shifted into his full animal form. The large wolf walked between the mooks who parted for him like great waters. His damp fur still had droplets of water and almost made him look shiny in the waning sunlight. He have himself one last good shake before walking over to Ant. He took up one of the emergency packs and put it on, making sure it was secure before trotting on. Some of the medical supplies in it made a little tinking sound, and his natural hopping gate made it seem like each of his steps was accompanied by the soft sound of metal clanking. "Blair went for food. Wolf went for supplies as well. I heard a lot of commotion to the east, hopefully it was made by one of our crew and not one of these...monsters.", he said simply.

Trying to isolate his thoughts from the pain was hard. He couldn't concentrate fully after the strike he just recieved, as his left arm throbbed and bleed. He knew that if he doesn't do anything soon, this will be it for him. He thought of a way to exploit the weakness he just saw, but it's still hard to deal with the lizards movements. He opted to use distance to his advantage, as this time the opponent was faster and stronger.. and to be honest his grip was not going to hold that much. He loosened the grip on his left katana, wrapping the chain so tightly that it would hold even without him holding it. As he squeezed, so the blood dripped harder. He clutched his jaws, withstanding the pain. Baryonyx was looking for a second, before moving again. He would try to track the movements of the lizard, but not like before. He would move as well, anticipating the position he will be in. He would swing his katana after a brief second, as a flash moved quickly to avoid it, the katana clashing with the ground.

The Dino would stop, looking at how close he was to being hit. "You are not to bad boy.. let's see if you can keep up" he smirked, looking down on Shadow again. But little did he know, that there was something on him that was giving direction to the pirate's eyes. If you looked closely you would recognize that this dinosaur, and others were different than the ones you read about in books.. well other that they could speak they had some devices attached to them. The Byronix was fast, so fast that he looked like a blur as he moved, but the device had a red light on it that could be tracked more easily and Shadow was going to exploit that fully..

Item Box!

You all get a simple white T-shirt with a decoration of your character's choice on it.

Additionally, the crew finds a treasure box on Little Garden. This box is somehow immune to all forms of damage, but still isn't hard enough to be used as a weapon, and any NPCs they might want to sell it to will be very disinterested in it. If two or more characters from the 5 who particpated in this SL finish an SL together, they may contact me to open the box and get all the goodies within.
