“You do realize that Blair left to get food tight?”, he said with a slight annoyed tone to his voice. “Too much meat around our ships is going to bring in unwanted guests Anthony.”, he said with a growl. He looked over his shoulder at Anthony for a moment, crossing his arms slightly but not letting go of the lead connected to the little pterodactyl. Blade’s eyes drifted toward the dead dinosaurs for a moment as Ant continued to talk. Blade shifted his weight from one foot to the other, but said nothing much more about it for the time being. “It seems this hot and humid environment really does wonders for the plants around here. They are bigger, more potent and more vibrant. I would over stock if possible. Our crew is very prone to damage…” , Blade said. It was as if he could read Ant’s mind, but honestly, they were both thinking it. Blade grabbed some medical supplies out of the bag he had taken into the woods. He eyed the wing of the pterodactyl for a moment, he pressed the shoulder, causing the little creature to cry out. “Shh. It’s not broken it seems.”, he pushed the creature down and grabbed the wing in one hand, and put all his weight on the creature’s back. In one, sharp movement he grabbed the joint and popped it back into place with a loud popping noise. The little creature screamed again, but softened into soft whimpers. It flapped it’s wing, it was sore, but usable. Blade wrapped it in a tight bandage with some muscle soothing cream on it. “There. A few days and you can go knock someone else out of a tree.” Blade took the beast and tied it’s lead to the walk boards by the ship to stop it from wandering off to much. Blade picked up the supplies and walked over to Anthony once more. “It seems the crew are processing the tree, they don’t seem to need much help from me.”, he gazed up at the sun. “I have to be careful, thick furred animals don’t seem to live on this island for a reason”, he said with a soft laugh. He was trying to make a light joke of a very important topic. He was trusting Anthony with the knowledge that his fighting would be extremely limited here. And in truth, he wanted someone to know that he was potentially in danger of heat stroke if he used any of his furry forms for too long in these conditions. “I haven’t seen Blair, Jackery of Wolf for a while...”, Blade noticed that quite a few members were missing from the camp at that moment. |

Blade was right about the meat he guessed, he couldn't help but laugh awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his neck. Maybe it would have been better to just dump the dead dinosaurs elsewhere, he couldn't leave them where he found them because there were medical herbs there that they could still collect. He didn't know whether or not they were plentiful yet so it was important to leave that spot clear as not to attract stronger predators, not that he thought of this at the time. He nodded as Blade mentioned overstocking, it was his plan to get more than they'd need in the short term, he doubted he'd be able to cultivate the plants to grow but he was going to try it just in case it worked. He kept a mental log of just what they'd collected, he'd put it down on paper later but he was confident he'd be able to remember it all.... that was until his focus was completely snapped at the sight before him..... did Blade just drag an animal back to the ship to fix its wing and bandage him up. Ant could only blink a few times as his brain struggled to process the sight before him. The Blade Ant knew was getting a little softer and friendlier, but he didn't think he'd see the day where Blade went out of his way to help a wounded animal. Though he doubted the same courtesy would be extended to any old human had they been in a similar situation. He shook his head clear of the shock that had befallen him, he didn't want Blade to notice his surprise at such an act. After all, he didn't want the captain to be shy or angry in case it stopped him doing that later. Blade mentioned something that Ant had actually overlooked, Blade's fur would prove somewhat troublesome on this island. Now he thought about it, everything here had scales and not fur, it was obvious when somebody pointed it out but fur would lead to potential overheating which would limit Blade. Still, the captain was quite fearsome even without his Zoan forms so he would hopefully be okay. Nevertheless, Ant made a mental note to keep an ear out for the captain and to keep enough stamina in him to help him out if it were possible. Ant cracked his back a little as a mook came up to the pair with two flasks of water, Ant took one and the other was for the captain. Ant took sips before he spoke "They'll be fine captain, they can all handle themselves. Even Wolf is learning how to handle himself these days. I've beat his ass enough times for messing with the medicine cabinet to instil some endurance in him" he was half joking but also being somewhat serious, he figured Blade knew Blair and Jackery could handle themselves but nevertheless he made an offer "Want me to check up on them?" He could remember more or less which directions they went in, so he could track them down easy enough with his speed. |

"Mhmm, just a little more, I'll be right up" Wolf spoke mid-sleep as the bird's tweeted in the distance. Nearby somebody was heard munching on leafs as the sound's distracted Wolf, who was trying to sleep. The ruckus was to much, so he started turning around until he finally opened his eyes "I said fiv..." to look deeply into eyes of another. They were big and strange. He blinked twice, and so did the other eyes. He rolled them up and down, and they followed. He rubbed his eyes, glaring back at them, and as he leaned closer the creature lifted it's head to snore wind directly from it's nostrils, blowing Wolf away. As he tumbled back, he remained seated to look around him. The whole are was covered with giant lizard's with horns, the same one's that stampede through the are he was at. Strangely enough, they were ignoring him, and it looked like not one of them was looking at Wolf, well expect this one. He turned to face the smaller one, as he was munching on leaves, staring back at him. "I know I'm good looking, no need to stare.." but the creature didn't get fazed. He just munched, and munched, and.. well you get the point. "Okay, than. You know where we are? I feel like I'm lost for some reason" he talked to the small one, looking around him but he couldn't see clearly. He tried to find a high enough tree, so he started moving in between the creatures. They were munching , turning around and walking right past him.. more like trying to do stuff right through him, so he was managing to avoid getting tackled or getting his leg bitten off.. As he reached a tree, he climbed up to look to where he could have come from. To his demise, it all looked the same.. It was a jungle after all.. One thing that was going for him, is that this tree had some strange fruit on it. And just as his stomach started growling.. He grabbed a few of them, basically swallowing them whole, as he started choking. Coughing like his life depended on it, and it did, he managed to spit something out.. It was a piece of tech? Staring at it for a second, he placed it between his teeth once again, as he tried to bite down... "Yea, it's not food." But, than it raised the question, where is it from? He went through more of the fruit to find a camera like thing? He stared at it, turning it around to be sure.. It had some wires that went around and into the trees... Now he really was confused, what was going on on this island? Edited by RaMp4g3, Jun 2 2017, 04:49 PM.

Blade considered Ant's offer to search for them. But he didn't want Ant wondering off too. So he found himself at a cross roads, did he want to risk sending out more of his crew? What if they all got eaten by the monsters that dwelled in the trees? With a soft grunt, he shook his head. "No Ant. Stick close to me, we can't afford to lose anyone else. This island as to many creatures bigger then me for my liking.", he picked up one of the axes on the ground and walked back to the log they had dragged back. "We'll give them tell sunset, and if they don't return then we'll go looking for them.", he raised the axe over his head. "Until then, stay close enough, maybe get a head start on cutting up those oversized lizards for Blair.", Blade threw his arms down, the axe colliding with the wood and made a shower of splinters explode with a mighty crack. A slice ran up the trunk from Blade's strike and split the whole section nearly in half. A task that would take the mooks a while to do. Blade glanced over his shoulder at Ant. "Or you can chop wood. It's good exercise." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From the enterence of the caverns seven shapes appeared. All of them dinosaurs of various sizes and spieces. Each of them had thick leather collars on, and metal pieces on them. Cyborgs. All of them had a chunk of metal on the back of their heads, as if they were toys and that's where batteries go. A small, and strange, beeping sound was immiting from them as they stalked into the trees. Their mission was clear, capture. But kill if needed. They were an eliete group to be sure of. One of the triceratops of the group stopped at the edge of the trees. A large number 2 was painted over his left eye. "3. 7.", he said, a adult pterodactyl with three painted on it's back and a young spinosaurous with 7 painted on it's right shoulder stepped forward. "You two take the bays. Drop the rocks at the edge of the rivers and trap those boats. No boats. No escape. Have the Pliosaurus A,B,C, and J sink those boats. Or at least, rip holes in the bottom." Number three and number seven nodded and headed off. Number three took flight and number even ran with savage speed through the foliage and greenery. "The rest of you. Head in with me. Mistress says they split up.", number two said as he walked into the forest. The other dinosaurs followed him, the hunt was on. |

Interesting, Blade's reason for Ant sticking close by wasn't the one he was expecting by any means. Now he thought about it, everything being bigger than him didn't bother him much. He supposed it is because he could keenly remember the times everything was bigger than him, and how he'd landed on his feet enough times. Ironically, the first time he was on the receiving end of an ass kicking in a while was from a smaller woman. Ant nodded to confirm he''d received his order, he'd stick by the captain's side and have faith that his cremates would be safe. He raised a brow slightly and gave an impressed whistle at Blade's display of strength, the old captain was still getting stronger despite the harsh treatment his body had suffered. Perhaps it was because of the harsh treatment, but that couldn't be the sole reason given his past and the growth rates he'd witnessed. As much as he wanted to help Blair by cutting up the lizards the mooks could handle that, he rather fancied a contest with the captain. He was fully aware he'd lose but that didn't mean he would stop giving it a damn good go. He gave no verbal answer right away, but he did stroll over to the axes and lifted one up over his shoulder. A mook was passing by, he looked busy and quite red. Ant placed a hand on the man's shoulder stopping him where he was, the poor mook was tired already from the heat "Shane right? Mind getting me and the captain some water, get yourself and the other guys some too. Don't work yourselves too hard or you'll pass out, 'kay?" Shane nodded as he scurried off to do as he was ordered. Ant jogged back over as he slammed his axe into the other end of the log, completing the split down the middle with a playful smile "The crew can handle the lizard, now this will will be more fun. Fancy a little wager on this? If I cut more wood, I get to takeover the kitchen again. If you win I'll pay double my share towards ship repairs. Sound fair?" he had money to spare so it wouldn't really bother him. Besides, he really wanted to get back in that kitchen and he would give it his all to get back in. |

As the group were running along the back of the snake, their feet bounding off its body only to find that they weren't moving in the slightest. Blair was the first to realise this, coming to the conclusion that they should obviously jump off the side of the wide serpent, only she felt that conveying this to the crew would be difficult as they were now in a state of screeching fear. Narrowing her gaze towards the head of the dark, slithering creature, the merchant leaned forwards, kicking off from the creature's back as she darted forth, her whip drawn out before it lashed out. As the leather weapon flew forwards, it would snap against the side of the creature's head, causing the creature to bellow and hiss angrily, lifting its large head off of the earth that it rode along. Grinning, Blair would lash out with her whip again, this time, it flew at an angle. "Hey buddy, how about you give us a lift!" the merchant would call, the whip reaching around the monster's throat, the dark haired pirate having jumped cross to grab a hold of the other end of the weapon as she tugged upwards. This sudden jerking action forced the beast to steer its snout up into the sky, lifting both Blair and her scrambling crew up high as it reared its entire body upwards. Clearing the treetops, Blair was able to get a full view of the entire island, including its massive mountains and grand landscape. Taking in the sight, Blair could do little but leave her jaw hanging agape in awe and wonder. "This whole place.... It's so amazing..." she muttered, having never been to an island that was covered head to toe in forest land, where nature thrived above all else. "We really are such a bizarre land, aren't we," she'd say aloud before the snake flicked its head to the side, sending Blair and her crew flying in one direction as the force loosed the bind the pirate had the snake in. "Wuaaaaaah!" |

Getting down from the tree, he paced around around, trying to figure out what strange contraption he held in his hand. It looked strange, he was in no way an expert with technology, the most advanced thing he knew how to use is a knife sharpener.. and he wasn't even sure it was a piece of tech. Walking around, he would stumble on something. Facepalimg down, he would turn to curse the thi... wow that was an big looking lizard up close. There were two big eyes staring back at him, and even bigger horns on top of it's head. The creature was one of the heards, that surrounded this area, and as it was munching on some leafs it was looking at Wolf. As they looked at each other, for some reason Wolf held his breath, to make the creature think he is dead? But he was still sitting there and looking back at him.. it was a dumb idea, and as the time went on it was getting harder and harder to breath.. Good thing the creature lost it's interest and turned around, otherwise Wolf might have choked himself. His heart racing, from the lack of oxygen he turned around, to look for the contraption but.. "Hey there little fella.." he spoke, as he saw the tiny one holding the thing in his mouth. "How about you give me that nasty thing, huh?" he spoke as he reached with his hand, but the little dino jumped back. "Haha, you got me.. Now hand it over" he reached again, but you guessed it.. It took him a while, to realize that this scenario won't work. He could just tackle the little one.. but looking around him, he thought better not aggravate the heard. "Oh, you know what. I'll give you some food, you might like that huh?" he spoke as he plucked grass from behind him. He reached with his hand, but the tiny one just remained there staring. "Come on, yum yum.." but nothing.. Maybe he didn't trust the pirate, and to convince him Wolf even started chewing on the grass. You could see his facial expression change while he chew, but he immediately tried to bring back the smile like he enjoyed himself. He somehow swallowed the grass, his pride and probably some other fungus and bacteria, but the creature still just stood there.. Half pissed, he exhaled to calm himself as he gave up and laid down looking into the sky. "Wonder where the crew is now.. I have to go and report to Jackery as well or Blade will be pissed.." but as he spoke he heard something lurking around, and he could tell it was not the dinos around him. Blade looked over at Ant, a single eyebrow raised silently. He listened to Ant's wager. So, if he won then he won the pleasure of not eating Ant's food again, that alone was enticing. But a glance over at the Dawn Challenger also made him thing about his poor ship. We was limping alone, crying out for repairs. The next island they landed at, the poor thing would take at least a few weeks to work on. It would be expensive, and making Any pay up more would save him money. Blade himself didn't care for money, but, he did need it for other things. "Fine.", he finally said. He turned and patted Ant's head as if he were a child, "A wager it is.", he turned away from Ant and walked over to a large section of wood. He ran his hands along the bark that was slightly damaged from the straight to the rest of the tree and the dragging here. He pulled out a marker he had used earlier and marked a circle on the trunk after tapping on it a little. He stepped back, a reasonable distance and turned to face the tree again. He looked at Ant, "Beat this for starters." Blade shifted into his hybrid form. His whole body grew and changed, blue fur overtaking his body until he stood at the form that towered over the height of ten feet tall. He snarled lowly at the tree, and flexed his claws a little bit. "Stand Back.", he snarled at everyone, mooks took off away from the tree. Blade popped his neck left, and then right before getting into a stance. Blade slashed the air in front of him, "Pack Hunting Strike!", he snarled as the wind was sliced by his very claws. The shock wave raced forward, the sound of it slicing through out made a loud howling noises that echoed the space. The wave nearly looked like a pack of wolves as it split the air and smashed into the tree, perfectly landing in the circle. The impact struck a weak point in the tree, and the shock wave exploded internally within the tree, sending it into pieced everywhere. Huge chunks of tree remained crumbled where the section once stood. The large tree sections were about the same time, most of the slicing came from the shock wave traveling internally along the tree rings. Blade shook his body after the strike, pieces of splinters fell from his coat. Some of the mooks who had hidden behind other tree pieces also found themselves coated in pieces of wood and bark. Ant couldn't help but pout ever so slightly as he was petted, he kinda liked it but it did make him fee somewhat like a child. He guessed he was actually the most immature in the crew, even if he liked to think of himself as currently being more educated than most. That was only because he was a not so closet bookworm when it came to medicine. At least Blade agreed to the deal, he knew that if he won Blair would respect Blade's authority and allow him back in the kitchen. Though he doubted he would get exclusive occupation given he never asked for it, so Blair would probably be the head chef or something. His hopes were soon to be shattered. He couldn't help but arc his neck back a little to look up at Blade, well that was just cheating. If they were going to play like that Ant figured he'd have to step up his gain. He backed up a little and discarded the axe as he watched what Blade could do. He was very impressed to, this was all very new and any hopes of overtaking the captain were soon snuffed out. As soon as Ant saw the attack forming he drew his staff and spun it defensively, deflecting a great deal of the small debris but some of it still hit him. He couldn't help but give an impressed whistle of approval, and after he put his staff away a clap for the captain "You've improved a lot captain, I'm afraid I can't match your strength" No sooner had he finished speaking did he start shifting into his hybrid form. Feathers sprouting from his body, he kinda liked this appearance even if his feet and face did look kinda weird. He wasted no time sprinting away at full speed until he had a 400m run up. He drew one of his blades and steadied his breathing. He raised his sword slightly above his head before he exploded forwards at full speed. He couldn't follow his own movements, but he did not the time it took to get where he was and timed his slash accordingly. His blade managed to sink just a quarter of the way through the tree, well that wasn't fair. He sighed in defeat as he tugged his sword out of the tree and turned to the captain "Guess you win this one, I know when I'm beat. Well played" there were no hard feelings and he even offered a fist bump to the captain, he'd done it to the mooks before but he didn't know if Blade knew what one was. Hopefully he did, but it's be kinda funny if he didn't he guessed. Techniques

Placing himself at the distance from the sound, he looked around if he could see something suspicious.. The dinos seemed calm, and were just chewing the food they were eating, but he knew something is up. He could feel the sinister eyes watching him. He pulled out his katanas, faced the direction the growl was heard from as he spoke "I know you are in there. Show yourself before I make you come out." but he got no response. Maybe it was really nothing, he didn't hear anything after he spoke.. He moved to the bush, poking it with his blade but nothing was there. Hmm, maybe he heard it wrong? He turned around to face the little monster again "Now where were we? Oh right, you were about to give ba.." but he was cut out by a sharp claw clashing alongside his blade. He placed the katana right above his head, as something jumped out to attack him. When he pushed it back, he turned to fiercely face the challenge... wait.. what is this tiny creature doing here. I mean, it's not tiny but it's smaller than most other things he saw at this place. They were smaller in comparison to the pointy heard over there for sure, but they had a huge claw on their leg.. comparing with their hand that is, as it was so short he wondered how does he use it? Anyhow, Wolf prepared himself as he took up on a stance. The strange lizard should be no problem, right? Just at that time another tiny one jumped out.. and another one.. and another one.. Panic broke in the heard, as they all started moving in attack positions, to protect the heard and you guessed who was in the middle? At this point it was the big rhino looking heard on one side and at least 10 of small lizards on the other side, and he could guess more were coming soon.. It didn't take long, as they all rushed at each other, as Wolf just looked up and smiled "Well, this is not the worst way to die right??" Edited by RaMp4g3, Jun 18 2017, 03:39 PM.

Blade watched Ant's attempt to rip into the wood. And although it was a good, and impressive try, he didn't even split the tree. Blade laughed softly, running a hand through his hair, knocking more splintered pieces of wood from it. "You should have looked at the tree. A straight forward attack may not be the best for a foe like this. A sound wave like attack attacked the very rings of he tree, splitting it from the inside, as well as the outside." Blade looked at Ant's fist outstretched. And even though Blade rolled his eyes, he touched his fist to Ant's. "So childish.", he muttered as he turned around. "Start picking up this wood, and carving out good pieces!", he barked orders at his mooks. Blade looked up at the sky, the sun wasn't quite setting yet, so he would wait a little longer before sending search parties out for the crew. He hoped nothing bad happened to them as he started to pick up pieces of wood as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Across the bay, two dark shapes appeared, the dinosaurs. They muttered to themselves as they pulled back some thick hedges to reveal the entrance to a secret riverfront. They walked inside, keeping a distant eye on the Dawn Challenger. They who dinosaurs disappeared into the thick passage, petting the hedges close behind them. The island was filled with these secret passageways. A few moments later, three very dark shapes appeared in the water, but they did not seem to be dumb crocodiles like before. They swam together as they slowly approached the Dawn Challenger. |

Ant made a mental note of what Blade was saying, now he thought about it he did lack a shock wave attack that wasn't a cutting attack. He had been so distracted by his medical studies that he had been letting his range of attacks become somewhat limited in comparison to others in the crew. He had to try and fix that if he didn't want to risk becoming a liability. If he was to become the crew's primary doctor, he also had to be a fierce combatant. If he went down in battle, then all the medical knowledge in the world wouldn't be much use He stopped beating himself up when Blade fist bumped him though, he had a somewhat childish and gleeful grin plastered across his face. The fact Blade would still fist bump him even though he deemed it childhood was kinda awesome in Ant's book. It meant the old captain was growing fonder of him, and was learning to loosen up a bit. He suspected the blade he'd met originally would have bit his hand clean off if he offered a fist bump. He didn't help the books with picking up the wood, they were paid for it and he needed to at least try and save some of his strength. He was pretty sure what Blade was thinking about too, and figured that took priority. Ant walked to Blade's side with a soft smile "Don't worry captain, even if they're not back by nightfall I'm confident they'll be safe and we''ll be able to find them. I'll go pack medical supplies in case though" He jogged away from the captain, heading to the medical room just to double check they'd have everything they needed. He was getting quite worried himself, but he didn't want Blade to catch on about that in case it made him worry more. |

The time slowed down, even as the two forces rushed at each other, the soon to be dead pirate admired the view and the feeling of sun grazing his face while the birds tweeted.. well he was enjoying it until he felt a thug on his leg. He brushed it off, thinking it's started so he will be a goner soon, but the tugging didn't stop. Didn't take him much to get annoyed at this point, I mean how hard is it to just gallop over a person? But to his surprise, the one tugging him was his little friend, the same one who took the piece of tech he got from the tree.. "You again huh, what are you doing here? I bet you ate the vied thing I had and now you are he..." it suddenly shook him. He was here? The little triceratops must have still been there with Wolf when this whole thing started.. How did he not notice it earlier? Damn.. Observing the situation he has about few seconds before he would get crushed, and the little guy together with him. Picking him up, his only instinct was to protect him.. Yea like a mother protecting his baby, ha ha ha.. Oh boy would he get roasted by Ant if he saw this.. He used one of his hands to hold it, while the other to try and move to safer position. As the two packs tackled, Wolf would attempt to jump atop one of the triceratops, and rush over their sturdy body's across but the velociraptors were much faster, as one jumped and attempted to claw the tiny creature's face out. He had time to use his katana, block and attack back, but than he would get crushed by the rhino looking thing running towards him, so to his better judgement he protected the pup with his back. "Argh.." he screamed out, as the giant claw dug into his back like a sword. For a brief moment Shadow began pulling out his katana, as he spat blood, facing the raptor's gaze with his own forcing him to back down a bit.. but the yawn of the tiny creature, resting in his arms shook Wolf back as he smiled at him and continued with his original plan. He managed to rush across other triceratops's back to safety as he laid down the tiny guy down. Edited by RaMp4g3, Jun 30 2017, 04:31 AM.

As Blair and her pirate entourage began to plummet down towards the lush green forest below, the entire group could do nought but let loose primal screams of panic as their arms and legs flailed uselessly. None of them had any means to prevent themselves from smashing into the ground and the titanboa was already beginning to slither away from them, fully intent on leaving them to their demise, possibly coming back to see if it could snore a quick snack out of one of them. In this mad array, Blair found her arms wrapping around the closest mook. "Whelp, looks like this is the end for us. I lived a terrible life of treachery!" she'd declare with ample amount of pride, each of the men agreeing and admitting that their own lives were similar, noting that they were happy with their lots in life. After their declaration of peace, Blair's eyes snapped open. "Wait just a moment, I can't die here! Especially not from something as silly as falling to my death!" Blair announced, her mooks looking confused, the one whom she had been clinging to was promptly kicked away from her. The black haired merchant procured the whip from her side, unfurling it before she snapped it through the air, allowing it to coil around all of the mooks, each of whom would let out a yelp. "Break those fruit and I'll beat you all!" she warned as she got up close to the barrel of crewmen, the weight of which would force the air to billow around them, slightly slowing their fall, but not enough. Reaching for a knife this time, many of which were tied to her body. Holding it in her hands, she turned to face the trees, preparing her knife and angled it correctly. "Here we go, crew! Budget Cut!" she'd call, her knife letting loose a blast of air, the shock wave whistling as it crashed down to earth, blasting straight through the foliage of a tree, which caused its leaves to burst apart, revealing the various trunks that lined the forest. "Bend those knees and when I say go, we jump!" the first mate ordered. This order didn't come with some cries of shock and despair and the men realised their advisor had lost her mind some time during the sea voyage. Entering the forest, Blair would jerk forwards, her hair flying forwards as she did so, the group now tilted so that their feet and legs were angled in the direction of a nearby tree. "Go!" she'd scream, and with a massive heave, everyone would push off the tree, flying forwards. Blair would jerk around again, flinching against the brunt of branches that she'd find hitting against her, making sure she absorbed most of the damage before turning again. "Go!" she'd order again, this time with more confidence, the group doing the impossible as they'd use their momentum to bound off the trees, slowing as they approached the ground.. "Go!" "Go!" "Go!!" Suddenly, they'd hit the ground, the bound up barrel of men would roll along the forest floor , snapping branches and crushing bushes as they passed them by. Everyone would roar with panic as they did so until, with a loud thump that reverberated the leaves and ground around them. As silence settled upon the woods, the group would take a long and deliberate sigh as they all untangled themselves, spilling out onto the ground. It was then, once they were all certain they safe, save for minor scratches and dirt and leaves covering their bodies that they began to let out a bellow of laughter, all of them hugging each other. "We're safe~ We're safe~ We're~" "Targets acquired." "Targets~ Wait... What?!" Spoiler: click to toggle

The sharp claw dug deep into his back, but he managed to rush across the heard. It was tough, their scales scratched his hands, badly but he still managed. His heart racing faster, he took a deep breath to calm down, as he felt a tiny nudge on his shirt. It was the baby-rops looking up at him. "What am I to do with you now?" he spoke, as he placed him down. He pat him on his head, carefully avoiding the tiny horns as he smiled. He knew the battle behind him is getting bloody, but he couldn't just leave now.. the tiny triceratops could follow him or even rush back into the battle.. For a second he imagined him, and the now grown up triceratops on top of a hill, standing over their dominion. Wolf would have a crown, with a giant sword pointed to the sky while on triceratops's back. "Obey the king" he would say..."Wow that was random" he thought as he shook his head. "Okay, I need to get you to a safer place, until this battle ends" he spoke turned towards the clashing tide of giant lizards. Damn, they were really going at it, blood sprouting everywhere. It was really a wild fight between animals, that's for sure. "Okay, I don't know how to call you so I'll go..." he spoke, turning around to see him missing again. His eyes widened, as he opened his mouth to yell but no sound came out. He began waving his hands around in panic, but silent panic, he didn't want to attract attention. Once he was calm, and collected... as if, he started rushing from bush to bush. "You here? You here? Hey, you there?..." he'd speak whenever he'd ransack the verdure. "Mhaa.." he'd hear a short sharp squeak, so he'd immediately rush to it's origin. He rushed through the forest, it wasn't far away, but he wondered how did the little guy get there... or did something take him? Just by that thought, Wolf already placed one hand on his katanas hilt to prepare. He'd be damned if something was to eat that little munchkin, especially now after he risked his life to save him. Getting branches out of his face and avoiding slipping on various mucus found on the ground and trees, he'd make it to a smaller clearing. His head would instantly turn in all directions to locate the triceratops, but nothing was to be seen. "Hee's heeeereee~" the wind would carry the sound, blending with it so it'd be hard for Wolf to hear. "Where is he? I swear, if he is eating som..", Wolf'd stop as goblinish laughter would be heard in bushes nearby. Glancing over, he'd already be on his way to pull out the katana he was holding his hand over, and throw directly at sound's destination. As the blade cut through leaves, somebody would yell out "Ouch, dang that hur... not, hahaa" as the laugh would continue but now in the completely opposite side. "Tsk, where are you" Wolf would speak, whilst tugging his katana back. "Now, now, don't get angry little boy. You don't want your little pet to get hurt? Hahah" the voice would speak back. It echoed through the field. It appear as it came from all directions, so the young pirate couldn't pin down it's location. "If you hurt him, you will pay!" he yelled out, losing his temper in the minute. "Tsk, tsk.. calm down boy, you will get your chance.." and as the voice spoke it drew weaker and weaker. Wolf prepared, unsheathing his weapons ready to defend himself.. "Aghh" he yelled out as a scratch appeared on his back. He turned around, but another one appeared again. Breathing heavily now, he'd need to know where the attacks are coming from in order to defend himself. He could feel the blade digging deep into his back, but it was oddly shaped.. Much like the claw of the raptors he fought just a couple minutes ago, but wider and bigger. "What's wrong little boy? Can't see us?" another voice spoke. "Multiple opponents, just what I'd like to hear." he would speak to himself. Thinking of a way to defeat them, he got cut again, deeply as he hunched over a bit.. Even though he's been wounded, he'd smile because this time he paid attention. A black blur speed past him, it was only for a moment but he saw through it, and he knew what to do. Standing tall, he'd place his weapons by his side, bowing down his head. "Ignoring us? Big mistake little one.." he'd say as slashes would continue. Taking deep breaths with each slash, concentration would wrap around his mind, allowing him to bare through the pain until suddenly... Shadow would dropped on his right knee, rotated on it by forcefully pushing his other foot he dug into the ground, his katanas flowing through the air with perfectly placed blade angle as to slash open the dark figure passing by. Blood would splatter on the ground, as a scream would be heard like from a deeply wounded animal. Shadow stepping up, would turn around and on the ground he would have a sight to see. There it laid, a raptor about the size of those smaller ones.. So a bigger velociraptor basically. As Shadow approached the beast, he could see busted it's knee out as the leg was twitching uncontrollably as well. "Stop!" somebody yelled out behind Shadow. He only threw a glance, as he saw two more of these creatures standing behind him. They looked at him, anger full but yet scared to approach. One took a step further, but as soon as he did Shadow stopped and so did the reptile. "Whoa, kid, what do you think you are doing to my underling" a deeper voice was heard coming from the bushes. The pirate ignored it as it continued on his way. The fallen velociraptor roared back, as it saw him.. but the creature knew what was coming. The two behind him couldn't even move, but the big one than stepped closer. "Hey, I was talking to you.." Shadow would finally approach the fallen beast, looking down upon him. It would try to scratch, bit and claw him but alas.. it was in vain. "I told you to STOP!" the giant rapotor would yell out, the roar echoing through the forest. Shadow would just look at his katana, rotate it so it was pointing down and jam it down the raptors eye socket. "And I say.." Shadow spoke as he turned around "What's the point talking to dead lizards".. It was dead silent for a moment, as this huge lizard stepped into the light. It was big, really big. Much bigger than these 3 here with them now. He was a big baryonix, for reference, but Wolf wouldn't know that. "You shouldn't have done that.." it spoke as he carried out the little baby triceratops. Shadow would just smile and stare him down. The atmosphere would suddenly get grim and heavy, you would feel it in the air.. the blood thirst and anger.. "You know.. you really shouldn't anger a lone wolf" he spoke as he noticed a scratch on his face. Shadow would wipe the blood with his fingers, than proceed to lick them and speak "who likes the taste of his own blood!" That would be the last thing he would say, before pulling up his mask and hood, the only thing they'd see are those dark purple eyes starring through them.. Edited by RaMp4g3, Jul 16 2017, 07:46 AM.
