The approaching island looked pretty strange to Wolf. The whole vibe of death both excited and terrified him. Guess he was still inexperienced when it came to staring death down. Taking note of the crewman running around Jackery, even him being busy as he is, Wolf just observed. He would love to help, but labor work was not his virtue and.. he was just really lazy. Patting his full belly, he came approaching the edge of the ship. The cold breeze blowing down his face, as the first sounds of birds were heard in a while, with the smell of trees and wildlife following it. Taking it all in for a moment, he saw the Dawn Challenger heading in front of them, as some of the members were on deck. He wondered what they were up to, and what was he going to do with Jackery now. Helping the crew would probably move to getting materials to repair the ship, which was a good thing to do but a boring one as well.

He had high hopes that the other captain would give him more freedom to investigate and search for fun things on the island.. Not a moment's pass as a big wave was felt even on such a giant ship. Taking his attention was a giant reptilian like creature that was headed towards the Dawn Challenger. He knew it was a big ship, but unlike Nemo not sturdy enough, and especially not now.. Pulling out his katanas, stepping on the edge of the ship, as he was about to go jump he saw somebody do the reckless thing before him.. It all lasted a few moments, but at the speed of which it happened it still amazed Wolf. After the blurry silhouette took a breather and stood before him he recognized Ant. Never would he guessed how fast he has gotten, and how quick. A little jealous but still happy for his comrade he smiled, sheating his weapons whilst looking at the dead croc. "Tsk, not so tough as you seem" he commented as he turned his back on the creature, making fun of the single wound that knocked the creature down. Making back to Jackery, he saluted in a funny way once more and asked "Where to when we dock?"

Even though the immediate danger was dealt with Jackery made a had motion to his crew that they should maintain alertness. Seeing the ever reliable Mr. Sims coming to him Jackery spoke his mind. "Except for sea kings which may not even be natural creatures, animals would not attack a pair of ships bigger than they are while alone unless they were trained to. By this I mean either by someone as an early warning guard animal or prior adventurers showing up as easy prey. Either way it means that we can expect more trouble, signal as such to the other vessel." It would be pointless to tell the crew to be more vigilant since they were already at that point, but this encounter did serve to drive the idea home that even if there were no other people on this island that did not mean this place was safe.

Much like back on Boin the most deadly enemy could be the environment, referred to once as a Darwin's Pond these predator heavy untamed landscapes were never to be underestimated. It was then that Wolf arrived and asked. Pondering if the situation had changed enough for the plan to undergo rethinking for a moment he answered. "It is up to your captain to pick a suitable beach and as soon as he has made landfall I will dispatch you and the team to begin the work. As has been proven your crewmates are likely able enough to stop any further wildlife attacks, but if there are hostile people here the Nemo's guns may be needed and from this lake I can hit nearly any point on the island. The scouting may have to wait until we are established here, I was not expecting to find such an...inviting location. A few shipbreaker piles sunk into the river's entrance just below the surface would be a good early step in securing our position for now."

Ant was feeling really rather good about himself for the brief second between landing on deck and his ear being dragged. Oh shit, he was in trouble and it quickly dawned on him as to why. His usually confident exterior turned meek in the face of an angry captain, honestly the current captain scared him more than the old one when he started shouting.

As his back struck the railing he looked the captain in the eye and nodded, saying a polite "Yes captain" despite being bollocked by the captain, he did feel strangely good. The captain more or less said Ant was important to him, a far cry from how Blade used to act towards Ant. He honestly wasn't sure which of the two of them had changed more, but changed they certainly did.

He dusted himself down before he made his way inside, he liked his weapons clean and now this was was dirty with the beast's blood. He made his way to his bedroom, applying some alcohol to the blade to disinfect it before wiping away the relatively fresh blood with a rag he didn't mind throwing away. Being a student of medicine meant he knew only too well the vast number of diseases that could be spread by blood so to say he was a little paranoid was a slight understatement.

His blade shinier than it had even started, he made his way back onto deck, helping to oversee the beast being cut up ready to cook. He hoped he'd be able to smuggle a bit of the meat away from the main part so he could cook it himself. He had so many wonderful ideas for it, he did wonder if the crew would approve though. He never really saw anything wrong with his own food even if it wasn't amazing, but the crew really didn't seem to like it.

With a solemn shake of her head, she took a moment to register what had just been said. She didn't realise that the captain would take the warning for the crew as a literal threat. She had attempted to inspire some sense of work into her men, but apparently came off as a monster of sorts. That said, they were a monstrous crew, with a total bounty that shot well over the one hundred million mark. Sometimes she couldn't believe that it was mere months ago that she had been stealing money from letters aboard a messenger ship and now they were some of the bigger names to be traversing the first half of the Grand Line. An avid reader of the news, she had noticed her name along with that of the crew pop up within recent articles. Most notably though was the image of Blade, known for being a ruthless warrior on the battlefield.

Turning to look at her wandering captain as he made his way to steer the ship, she gave a soft chuckle. Not nearly as many people would be as scared of him if they knew how much of a softy he was to his own crew.

As the ship entered into the island's pull, the battered and beaten ship began to make its way down along a river through the island, the current assisting with guiding the ship through a soft lull in the waters. Taking a moment to observe their surroundings, whilst also monitoring the work of the crew, she noticed that there were an assortment of shifting and convulsing shapes within the looming darkness. The ship then came to a slow and graceful halt along the banks of the river, the anchor being cast and a gangplank quickly extending down to the ground below. Receiving her orders, she picked out a few men out of the bunch that she had been ordering around the deck. These men usually accompanied her during acquisition ventures within towns, so she knew that they could handle themselves well enough. "You heard the Captain, men. stay on your toes, I'll try and give any back-up in case anything off putting goes. Just stick close and all will be fine," she grinned, waving away to Blade as she left the ship, her men already having baskets strapped to their backs via harnesses.

Giving Ant a small wave goodbye, she exited the ship, her hands in her jackets pockets as she began to stroll about, whistling gently to herself as she wondered what sort of mysteries lay within this island. It couldn't have been that this island had been untouched by human contact after all of these years, could it?

The sounds of men hurrying around the ship resounded, which grabbed Blair's attention. she noticed that a large crocodile had begun to emerge from the river bank, only to find itself cut apart by a large shockwave blow from the legs of a certain peacock. Shaking her head, she gestured for her group to continue on their path through the island. "Disregard the peacock," she sniffed, keeping her eyes out for any sorts of food that she could find. She had to be careful and make sure to use her knowledge on goods that she had seen within the Cactus Island markets to ensure that she didn't take anything dangerous to her health.

After a few moments of travel, they discovered a tree filled with large, glistening fruits that a hung from its branches. Cocking her thumb towards the tree, one of the men took off his basket and scaled the tree, reaching for the fruit that hung all about it. "Yep, I recognise those fruit. They're Troco fruit, I believe," Blair mentioned, naming the bizarre fruit that she hadn't heard of before having entered the Grand Line. Something loud growled behind the dark haired merchant, which caused the pirate to frown. "Did somebody skip breakfast or - ?!" she began, halting as she saw something that didn't quite expect to see. Before her lay a massive monster with a clubbed tail, growling menacingly at her.

"What?!"

Blade gave a loud, sharp snarl. He was way less than pleased about the whole thing. He really didn’t want Ant dead but it appeared the other had some sort of death wish. Nonetheless, Blade couldn't fight against a ping of pride, Ant was must more than the meke lad from the island of Red Sand. Standing on the edge of the boat, he hauled the axe over his shoulder, and jumped off the side onto the land below. He looked out at the Nemo, and knew that Vach and Wolf wouldn’t be too far behind. He kept an eye on the dark waters for a long moment before heading inward into the thick forest. His five men behind him all had axes of their own.

They walked for quite a while, the smells alone were almost disorienting for Blade. Some leaves smelled like peppers, stinging his nose, there were flowers that smelled so sweet it made his stomach clench as if he had ate a hundred sweets at once. Every few moments he rubbed his nose or shook his head. He didn’t like it much where, everything had such an overpowering odor. If it affected him as a human, he could only imagine what his zoan would think of this place. He became lost in his own thoughts for a moment, walking without much regard for where he was going. Out of nowhere, he head one of the men behind him call out. He turned for a moment only to see a huge, dark shape looming in the thick foliage. Blade snarled, clenching his axe as the shape moved closer. It was huge, the size of a bus, and as it approached the sound of it’s feet shook the trees.

“Hide.”, Blade called to his men. All at once they took off, hiding behind trees, two of them climbing up. The creature emerged from the thick foliage. A large scaled beast walked out of the woods. It’s head was large, with three horns and it’s forehead was pushed up creating almost a shield like structure out of it’s skull. Blade watched it, and while the creature itself was not acting mean, and was not going after them, it’s size did leave the air of caution to be more than desired. But, the creature walked by without incident, disappearing through the forest as it had appeared. But, one thing did stick out to Blade, as the creature lumbered through, he noticed it had some black band on its left horn. Some leather with a metal buckle and some sort of number. Clearly, it was not a natural occurrence, and Blade felt the hair stand on his back. His stomach dropped, but he wondered why. Maybe there was more than just beasts here after all. Not that Blade hated other people or anything, but, the unknown of that person left him less than enthused.

With the dinosaur gone for the moment, Blade and his men regrouped. The looked up into the treetop, examining the trees and trying to find the biggest, strongest, and ones that appeared the most durable. “Be careful men. Try to make sure that there isn’t a nest of something in them. This is a island of larg monsters, and I don’t want to be the target of some bird because of some scrambled eggs.”, he said. After a few moments of selecting, they decided on one. Blade sliced the thee a little, making a large x on it. He looked at the men, “Look around for more like this. I’m going to climb it and make sure there is nothing wrong with it.”, he said. The men nodded and continued to look, none of them wandering off too far. Blade dropped his axe at the base of the tree and started to climb. Giving the intense smells around him, he thought it best to do this in human form. The tree had thick vines growing around it, but the wood itself still seemed solid. He ascended the tree without much issues, going one step at a time. Reaching with one hand, adjusting his footing, reaching with the other, adjusting his footing and so on. As he climbed, he did realize he forgot the amount of stamina this stuff took. By the time he reached the first of the large branches nearly 200 feet up, he almost was sweating.

He hauled himself onto the branch, and heard a strange hissing sound. He looked up to see a small pterodactyl. The creature’s wings were not fully developed and it was only about the size of Blade. He tried to shoo it off, but the baby beast didn’t really get the message. It kept hissing at him, bobbing its head to look loser, and editing closer too. “Shoo!”, Blade said and waved his arms at the baby. The creature tilted its head to one side, jumping down a branch, it was just above Blade now. “You need to get out of here.”, he warned the baby beast.

Wolf's excitement rose after the little show Ant pulled off, even if he preferred he tried himself out on the beast.. Well, never the less something good came out of the big beast as the big croc was pulled aboard the Dawn Challenger to get scavenged for meat.. probably, he could only guess but he wanted to try it out badly, betting it will be tasty.. Heading over to Jackery for further instructions, he was given a guard duty to the Nemo crew.. He disliked the idea really, babysitting the mooks while they chop wood and scavenge, so he tried to think of a way to get out alone for at least a while and the docking of the Dawn Challenger gave him the perfect timing. "Hey, they docked. Guess we will be going there as well. I think I'll go ahead a little, want to make sure the area is clear and all" he spoke, already walking towards one of the boats. "I'll catch up with your men as soon as they land" he spoke as he waved whilst the boat was getting lowered. Turning around to face the amazing view he had on the jungle, he slapped his face, pumping himself up for what is to come. "Oh boy, hope I find something fun to do out here. These damn chore-full days nearly sucked the life out of me" he spoke while thinking of all the times Ant made him count his pills and arrange them by color, or Blair's "Cleaning the bottom of the ship is a great idea" chores. Or Blades... he just stooped, shivering a little, before shaking his head.

The boat was getting closer to the land, the atmosphere could be felt even more so than before. Warm and heavy air overwhelming the senses of a inexperienced pirate, Wolf pulled up the mask he had so he could bread easier. Just moments after, as the water around him looked suspicious or rather something in it looked suspicious.. or back at him, he leaned down to get a better look. Just after he blinked at something small down under, he only had but a brief timing to back out and fall to his ass, as a bunch of fish came out jumping and clashing their jaw's together. Blinking fast, he was not looking at the fish, but at the one munching on his nose.. He screamed at the thing, his eyes widened as he started jumping to shake it off. Finally, he realized that the fish looks big because she is right in front of his nose.... so he just pulled it off.. or he tried to as the dang fish has dug even deeper. Pulling out his katana, Wolf slashed at the fish, that realized who is going to become a file and jumped off. Slowing down his breath, inhaling and exhaling slower he realized that the boat was moving a little to much. Looking even better, he saw water.. like dugh, he in a boat in a river, but the water was actually sprouting like a mini gazer in the middle of the vessel. "What is going on" he yelled out frustrated. "Is this punishment? For all the fish I ate over the years?" He spoke as he looked to the sky, for a no good reason but he felt it was the right thing to do. Suddenly all the ruckus stopped, as he took a second to recollect. Looking left, right and even daring to look down the lake he saw nothing unusual.. Looking like he finally was saved, he would turn to plug the hole in the middle of the boat, but he didn't have anything at hand so he just plunged his tumb down.. Seconds after he remembered, there were man eating fish here, and he just placed a lure down to the middle of a boat. Hysterically trying to pull it out, he couldn't as the thumb was stuck. Squatting down to push down with his legs, pushing so hard that veins started popping on his forehead, he felt as the ship began cracking beneath him. Thought it was his enormous strength, but actually the case was completely something else.

Noticing something popping out to the side of the boat as well, he went over it with his fingers.. Tis was sharp! "What is goin.." he spoke until a snapping sound was heard and the ship split in half, the sheer force springing the pirate into the ear leaving him mid air with giant jaws beneath him. "What is with this island!?" he yelled, quickly trying to think his way out of this one. "Good thing I have my trusty chains" he said, confidently swinging the katana that he pulled out, attempting to wrap it around a tree to use as a swing... "Onward you gooo...oo.o.."

*bloop*

Well, the katana flew but somehow into the water.. Now falling down, certain he would die, he gave up hope but.. "This might yet work". Now with his legs gently resting on the top of the giant teeth, you might be thinking, wait what, but little did you know that Wolf has been stretching and has been wanting to show of his splits skills for a long time. He could swear that he saw a fish or two clap when he did it, so he took a little bow. Well to bad that the only other being that is admiring the cool gymnastic moves is this dang giant-boat-eating fish!! Quickly jumping, as the jaws of death closed down on him, Wolf knew that it was not going to work again, but strangely he saw something dangling in front of him. Tis was a vine! Grabbing it, he swung across the surface of the river, some fishes jumping out, one nearly munching on his goods as he would land on top of the tree. Now, safe he would pull the chains to get his weapon out of the water. While he was at it, he wondered how did he miss a vine the first time and why the hell was it.. so.. slippp

*Hissss*

"Oh come on!"

The ankylosaurus looked about as pleased to see Blair as she was to see it. After having calmed herself down for a moment, she noticed that something was off about the beast, namely the way its lip had some kind of tag attached to it, almost as if it were some form of cattle. She had seen similar tags on beasts in the past, which was what caught her curiosity. "Are you friendly?" she asked, giving it a small wave and taking a step to approach it, her hand gently reaching out, as if to pet the beast across the sizeable gap between them. with a sudden roar though, the answer to her question was answered as the dinosaur charged towards her, causing the merchant's eyes to narrow before she bounded to the side, avoid the charge.

Far faster than she had been before, her training was paying off as, with a mighty bound, she leaped over the beast, her arm whipping in the air with her knife in hand, releasing a shockwave that bore into the beast's back. She did, however, leave herself open for a retaliating swipe from the dinosaur's tail. Knocked through the air, it did little to deter Blair, who was already back on her feet and rushing towards her target. "Nice try!" she called, jumping up again before slicing the air with her knife once more, only this time the single shockwave expanded into a large X shape, slashing right through the beast's tail. With a roar, the aknylosaurus rocked around the place before falling to its knees. Blair stood on its back, looking confused as she peered down towards it.

"Why are there dinosaurs here?! Didn't these guys go extinct years ago?!" she asked incredulously towards the crewmen who had scurried up into the branches of the trees. They each gave her shrugs or looked away, which only prompted Blair to shake her head. "Get outta here," she cried, shooing the beast away after having left its back. "Lets go back to the ship."

The beast screeched loudly before plummeting down right onto Blade. The captain let out a surprised yelp as the sharp claws dug into his back. It’s claws dug into his thick vest and jacket, but he still felt the sharp tips. The branch he clung to made a huge cracking sound, it began to lean downward from the weight of them both. The creature’s claws dug deeper into Blade’s back, not enough to do serious damage, but it was definitely not pleasant. The beast went right into pecking at Blade’s blue hair, and he had to cover his head with his arm to stop from being decapitated by the beast. He flailed around under the baby until the branch finally gave way, Blade yelled and the beast cried as the fell down to earth. They both landed with a hard slam, knocking the wind out of both of them. Blade gasped, clutching his chest as if he were having a heart attack. Luckily for him, after a few moments he was able to catch some air.

He sat up right as his mooks arrived to his aid. Blade looked over at the baby beast, it was screeching in pain, it had broken it’s wing in the fall. Blade slowly got to his feet, watching the pathetic creature flap wildly trying to get back into the threes, but it simply couldn’t. Every flap of it’s wing made it cry out, and Blade really did feel bad. Well, as bad as he could feet, he hadn’t actually done anything wrong, it had attacked him. He was completely not at fault for this situation. Blade rubbed his head and looked at the men, “Well...”, he grabbed a rope out of the hands of one of the mooks. He walked over to the beast, jumping on it’s back while it wasn’t looking.

The baby screeched and wildly thrashed, Blade used all the strength in his legs to cling to it’s back while he used his arms to wrap the rope around the creature’s beck, shutting it up. He secured it around the head too, making a harness for the creature, and it wasn’t to happy. It could no longer scream and make noise, it was more or less trapped. It couldn’t call for help, and it couldn’t fly. Blade tied the lead to a tree, and did not have much of a real solution.

“Let’s get some trees chopped. Then we can deal with the little beast.”, he told his man as he started marking trees with a marker. He made sure that there were no nests in them before marking them, but he watched the skies for the mother dinosaur too as he worked.

"Slowly.. slowly" he spoke as he started backing away from the vile reptile. As it hissed back at him, he tried to move at least a bit faster than the speed it was going at. "That's a good snake, who doesn't want to eat a big human, you don't.. that's who" he spoke like he was talking to a child or a dog.. he knew it worked on them who knew if it was the case with snakes as well? But the answer came quickly, as the snake stopped and just stared back at him. Proud by his new profound talent, Wolf thought it would maybe dance? "Now shake it, but do it like you mean it"..

*hiss*

Well that didn't work. Thinking he shouldn't overuse his luck he started backing up again, but you know how trees are these days in the jungle, slippery and full of.. "Ouch" he yelled out, turning around to pluck a big piece of wood from his behind.. well it was just a splinter, but it really hurt, maybe it even left a scar.. He managed to get it, but deep in his thought as he turned his gaze forward, vile eyes were staring into his.. They somewhat looked like two big spirals, spinning into infinity.. they were also slowly getting darker.. and darker...

It was at that time that trees started dancing to the tune of the wind, that howled in it's stead as something was approaching, the earth seemingly shaking from the fear of it's step. Birds started flying and flocking their wings, as wild roars were heard rushing towards Wolf. Snapping out of the trance, he was welcomed by a giant dark hole, otherwise known as snake's mouth. His eyes goggled, swallowing a big noddle, he was lucky enough that the tree's momentum also shook him and made his hand slip on some mucus.. He slammed down onto the floor, but that was a preferable choice, as big jaws of death almost clashed down of him.

Going on half a dozen attacks within such a short time of arriving did not bode well for the chances of success with this operation. Jackery jumped into the shallow water where the Nemo had gently pushed itself into the beach he waded ashore holding his belt of pistols and powder above his head to keep them dry. There was no time to wait for the smaller service boats to be lowered into the water. "Hold fire unless you have a completely clean shot." He ordered his crewmen, the risks of hitting one of the other crew accidently was too great during the struggles.

The moment his boots hit dry land Jackery went down to one knee and dropped the majority of the items he was carrying, the dual pistol remained gripped in his hand as he rested it on his other arm to steady the barrel. Focusing his mind on his target he allowed himself a moment to stop breathing as he targeted the snake attempting to devour Wolf. A single instant of insight changed his aim slightly as without seeing any reason for it the snake changed direction slightly. With two trigger pulls and an extremely minute adjustment between them the weapon fired twice fast enough that it made a single sound leaving Jackery's ears ringing as he got up and with the same motion holstered the expended pistol and picked two spares from the ground.

Both of the bullets should hit the creature's eye and go through into the brain but Jackery did not want to take the chance, even though the animal should be easy enough for Wolf to deal with on his own given the man's proven ability so far there was still the risk of things like poison or even bad luck causing an injury and taking him out of action for a time.

This island was certainly one which was very beautiful, but the fact it was in the Grand Line alongside the fish he'd already slayed told him it was a dangerous one. It seemed the books may not have been exaggerating about what wonders lay inside if what he''d already seen was anything to go by.

He couldn't help but admire Blair's leadership, it did feel like they had two captains at times, he guessed if Blade and Blair ever hooked up like he thought they should that would give them two captains. That being said, he was pretty sure that Blair would have the last say in their relationship if they ever had one.

He was the last to pick his crew members, he knew the mooks were fairly equally capable so he was confident they'd be able to do the task. He did try not to get too attached to them even if he did remain friendly, they aren't as strong as the main crew members so they weren't as likely to survive.

He ventured into the forest, taking note of his surroundings with every footstep. He'd quickly spotted some herbs lying low to the ground, he was fairly sure they had been noted to have an antiseptic quality when used correctly "Here, collect some of these. Pluck it at the stem so you don't tear the leaf" he said as he passed some jars around to his men, it was quite potent but given the amount of wounds the crew often endured it couldn't hurt to be well stocked.

All seemed to be going well until he heard a rustling in the distance that was getting closer. Ant thought it might have been something harmless until he heard a growl and the pace picking up. Shit. He wished he'd came alone now in case the mooks got hurt "Climb!" he shouted, these animals would know the forest better than they did so just running could be bad. Ant himself jumped up onto a nearby branch. It was two dinosaurs...with feathers? Was this some sort of cruel irony? These Troodon seemed to be scouts. Ant hoped he could wait it out, hopefully they wouldn't spot them.... all hopes of this were shattered as one of the mooks sneezed, Ant shot him a glare, this was bad.

"Uh, Miss Blair?" One of the mooks would pipe up, a hand raised in question. Blair, perturbed over the fact that the island was somehow riddled with dinosaurs, merely kept on walking, her mouth shut tightly together and her eyes peering into the woods around them, each step coming down with a loud thud. "E-Excuse me, ma'am?" Another one of the mooks started, looking hopefully at the First Mate. Each of these men were weary of getting on the dark haired woman's bad side, fully aware of the power that she possessed, especially with one of her knives. Despite this though, the men seemed to be equally weary of another factor from the island.

"I'm sorry, but I think you should really - " the man tried, quickly being cut off by Blair turning around, her foot stomping into the ground. "I know! We're lost, no matter how far I walk, I can't tell anything apart in this stupid forest! We hardly even went that far to collect all of the food!" Blair yelled, letting her anger get the best of her before taking a breath, shutting her eyes as she rubbed at her temple. "I'd choose your next words very carefully, I'm not in the mood to hear any whining," she ended, looking up towards the men as they each pointed to either side of them, indicating towards the trees surrounding them.

"What are you all...." she trailed off, looking to either side of her, realising that despite the fact none of them were moving, the trees were still slowly moving past them, or rather, they were moving past the trees. Her eyes opening wide, the Merchant looked down towards the ground and with a great shock, realised that they were standing along the back of a massive serpent. "Snake... Snake....! Snaaaaaaaaaaaake!" she'd scream, instigating the rest of the crew to join in as they all began running once again, which only prompted to snake to slither faster, neither Blair nor the crew making any headway in their progress to run off the creature!

Blade dug his claws against the thick bark of the first tree he had marked. Even the bark on this tree was so thick, almost like scales of the dinosaurs around them. A thick, coarse texture that felt almost like sandpaper, and they smelled odd too. The sap that came from them smelled bitter, soured from the heat of the island. This place was very tropical to say the least, which seemed ideal for overgrown lizards such as dinosaurs. Blade stepped away from the tree, and grabbed the axe he had brought with him. He held it over his shoulder, letting the feel of the axehead shift to as he positioned his hands on the handle to strike. With one mighty swing, he swung the weapon with all his might. “Take this!!!!”, he roared as he struck the tree with all of his might. The tree made a huge creaking sound, the bark splittered and struck out covering the whole area in a cloud of splinters. But despite the initial appearance of the strike, the tree was mostly unharmed. True, the axe had completely gone through the bark, and even six or seven rings on the tree, but in the whole thing, it looked like a half attempted hack job. The tree was mostly unharmed, but the axe was not. It was broken, the axe head had snapped off right above the handle leaving the captain with little more than a thick stick. Blade snarled, huffing softly at the weak durability of the weapon. “Alright then tree.”, he said. Despite the comical way the sentence may have sounded, he spoke with only conviction and bitter hate in his voice. This tree had just made a personal fight with Blade.

He grabbed his gauntlets that were strapped to the sides of his waist, connected at the belt. He took off his heavy jacket, and tossed it to a mook. He didn’t want to get it ruined, it was new after all. He rolled his head, popping his neck and crackled his knuckles as he stared down the mark on the tree. The diameter of the tree was no less than five feet across, and was definitely a worthy opponent. Only one or two of these beastly trees would provide more than enough wood for repairs, even making a few extra emergency boards. Blade stretched his arms out as his body began to change shape. His body expanded, his muscles bulged and grew bigger as his dark blue hair covered most of his body. Blade snarled as he shifted into his hybrid form. The wolf man glared at the tree. For now, it was Blade’s strongest zoan form for physical strength, or so he knew.

“Stand Back.”, he warned the mooks. They obeyed, and backed away as Blade flexed his gauntlets. Blade took strong stance, digging his heels into the ground focusing all his strength into his fists. “Savange. Gauntlet Strike!”, he shouted as he threw punches. They punches were fast, impacting the deepest cut point mercilessly, the strikes came so fast, one right after the other in a the normal gatling fashion. As he continued to strike, the blows began to spread out, hitting more areas of the tree. Each punch was awarded by the sound of splintering wood. Blade’s fists ripped through the trunk of the tree, and when he was more than halfway through, he stopped. Pulling back his attack. He gave a small pant, he had been hammering away at the tree for quite a long time. Even if it broke a little with each punch, it only cut into about an inch per punch. Over all, he had been working for nearly half an hour with his non stop punching. Blade quickly ran around the tree, away from the now weakened point. The whole thing made a huge creaking sound, as he ran he struck out both fists to the unblemished side of the tree. “Double Wolf Strike!”, he shouted as his fist smashed into the back of the tree. The tree completely gave way, falling over and striking the ground with so much force it seemed like the whole island shook. The trees around them trembled, and the little pterodactyl cried out the best it could with a tied mouth. Blade panted slightly, the heat was annoying. It made his fur stick closer to his body, and his clothes kept in even more heat. Wolves are not exactly known to live in tropical weather, and bit of work had already made Blade break into a small sweat. He shifted out of his hybrid form back to human and took off his shift. He noted silently that he would have to be careful using his forms with thick fur in this place. Then again, his mooks were also starting to strip down a bit, all having taken off their over coats and were in their undershirts now. Blade ran a hand through his hair.

“Let’s get this thing back to the river bed and start to chop it up.”, he told his crew. The nodded, “Yes Captain!” The work was hard, but the found through trial and error that rolling the tree was better, they had walked up hill to get here, so the downhill trip was not bad at all. It took less time to get the tree back to the bank then it had to cut it down or even walk to it. Once back at the bank, all the men were panting heavily, except Blade. He sat up on the fallen tree and looking into the forest. He was panting slightly, but not nearly as bad as his crew. He called to the ship, and some more mooks came out to help them process the tree. Blade rubbed his hand across the bark, this tree had but up a pretty good fight. It’s core had been harder than some rocks he use to practice against back in the blues. But, this was the grand line, so it was understandable that it have such a strongness about it.

“Make sure to stay hydrated!”, he called to the mooks as they started to hack away at the tree with some of their own axes, wedges, and other tools. “It’s hot and humid, you’ll sweat out a lot. First person to get sent to sick bay because of dehydration gets a dunk that alligator infested water!”, he shouted. The mooks jumped, and worked faster as a few ran to get buckets of water for drinking. Blade snickered to himself a little, looking down at his hand. He hoped he wouldn’t be sent there, he would have to use his furry zoan forms sparingly here. He head a angry chirping noise and looked over to see the pterodactyl they had dragged back with him. “Almost forgot about you.”, Blade laughed as he grabbed the lead rope of the baby beast.

Unknown Area

The room was nice here. The stone walls were adorned with exotic fabrics, lined with jewelry and decorated also with the skulls of various creatures. Not all of them dinosaur. The floor was stone, except for a long red carpet that lead to a plush chair that could fit at least three people. One of the walls was covered in monitors, den dens lined it and showed all the visuals for the whole island.

A shape entered the room. It was a velociraptor, but looked very different from the wild ones around the island. This one was dressed in a nice suit top complete with tie, undershirt, and vest. He also had a mustache and a thick golden monocle with a hat. Something under the had made a small beeping noise every few minutes. The dinosaur was carrying a silver tray, on it, a bottle of blueberry wine and a wine class fashioned from the skull of a human. The velociraptor stopped at the chair, bowing its head and lifting the tray as the large chair swiveled around to face him.

“We have guests Mistress.”, the velociraptor said. It’s voice was scratchy and hollow, but it was making words.

“I see them.”, she said pointing at the monitor. Or rather, at two paused monitors. One of them frozen on Blade’s hybrid form as he struck the tree, and one frozen on Ant from when he used his hybrid form on the alligators. “I want them.”, the mistress said with a wide smile. “I have a soft spot for exotics. Take both ships. I need new….toys. If any of them fight, kill them. Two ships worth of men is more then enough that I can spare a few broken eggs.”

The velociraptor nodded as he poured the glass and handed it to the women in the chair.

“But her.”, The mistress paused on Blair. “I want her dead. I don’t like the idea of another queen bee coming into my hive. As well as any other sea hag they may have brought to my home.”, she said. “Send out the special forces. I expect results by sun down Drogo.”

“Yes.”, Drogo the velociraptor bowed and left the room. He left the mistress to stare at the scenes.

“The last seven zoan who came to my island died due to my little testing. I wonder if these two will fair any better”, she said as she sipped her wine.

A sharp sound cut through the stomping sound, that carried through the jungle, it distracting Wolf for a brief moment as his hand slipped and he started falling from the tree. Face palming down, he would use his hands to turn himself onto his back, but as it kinda hurt he took his time so as soon as he faced up he saw the snake dropping on top of him. His eyes widened as he rolled out of the way barely.. As he rolled briefly, he would stand up to look down at the snake. It was not moving! He picked a stick and poked it.. poked it more.. and moree.. *hiss* "Aghh" he jumped a little, as the snake flapped back.. He carefully turned her around with the stick, but she laid down with two huge holes in her head. Must have been some muscle and brain reflexes still left, that were responsible for that last attempt on his life.. yea he is calling it that. He wondered how did she die, as he didn't see anything. Well she did have some pretty eyes, for a snake.. Turning around to try and figure out how to get to the others he started patting himself down, to get rid of the dirt and whatnot's.. "Now If I can only.." he stopped mid patting "Oh God, what is this?" to pull up his hand and see some mucus on his hand, that came from the side of his pants.. Must have gotten it when he was rolling around in the mud.

"Well, good thing I'm not doing my laundry" he chuckled, before remembering he is still kinda lost.. He moved closer to the water, to see the ship passing by him. He figured they must have planed to land close as the water canal was getting tighter, but than again.. Wolf looked into the water, than in just few seconds had many little eyes glaring back at him. He smiled back at them, protruding his tongue before two giant glaring eyes appeared beneath them. And that was the moment he jumped back, and disappeared into the forest.. It took him a while to realize that fish can't go out of the water.. oh and that he is now lost. He looked around, turning his head to see nothing but trees and bushes all around. Some of them had colorful looking fruit, and you know Wolf is always hungry. He got up to the tree and looked up.. It was really tall, but he wondered if he could climb it? Rubbing his hands together, he looked up and took a deep breath. He jammed his fingers into the tree and off he went. He was fairly successful in climbing the tree, well he thought he was, but after he looked down, for whatever reason he always has to do, it was a whole other story.. Sometimes he forget's he is kinda afraid of heights. Sometimes it's useful like in battle, but other times.. It was not long before he heard ruckus in the bushes behind the tree.

"Oh please let it not be something as huge as this tree" he spoke, closing his eyes to prepare for the worst. He can just get down from the tree and escape.. oh right he can't because his fingers tensed up and he couldn't. Still tightly closing his eyes, he heard the bushes right beneath a little before he heard a small roar beneath him passing by. Opening his eyes, he saw a creature with few horns up front passing him by. He relaxed, as he took a deep breath. "For a mommen.." he tried speaking, as the tree started collapsing. It was followed by a stampede of those same small creatures.. but now they were a few times bigger. As he was falling, he was still tensed up until the tree came closer to the ground. Now even if he was in mortal danger, he could do something when the tree was vertical and almost like a plank for him to jump off. He had but a moment before the tree crashed, so he had to think fast. "Okay, now I need to find a safe plaa..aaaaaAAAA" It was at that time that one of those rhino looking creatures came rushing by and his chain got caught up on it's horn so it pulled him with it. If somebody was watching they could see the stampede rushing away, with Wolf up on one of them, tangled on it's horns..

Ant sprang from the tree towards the mook who made the noise. It was obvious he would be the target after he'd caught the attention of the bird dinosaur thing. Ant drew a sword from his waist, he made it to the mook too quickly to intercept the troodon mid jump. He had to work on that, he was fast but his perception was lacking.

He kicked off from by the mook once again, flying head on towards the dinosaur and thrusting forwards with his sword, spearing the beast through it's open mouth. He landed steadily on top of the now dead animal, his sword embedding itself in the earth. He heard the other dino charging right at him, crap.

He had to abandoned one of his blades and drew his second, raising it just in time to intercept the beast's jaws. Unsurprisingly it was quite strong and Ant was having to dig his heels in a little. Well this wasn't going anywhere, he couldn't easily get to his staff, he couldn't pull the sword out of the ground with one hand and he couldn't shoot the thing either.

Ant dropped his stance completely whilst stepping to the side and pivoting his lead foot 90 degrees, making the troodon barrel forwards with all the force it had been exerting. Ant acted quickly, dragging his blade down the side of the dino's jaw as he was pivoting, continuing the slash until he'd left a large, deep cut in the dino's side. Wanting to put the beast out of it's misery quickly, he fired a single bullet in its skull. Even if it had to die it didn't need to suffer any more than was needed.

He panted lightly, that was intense. Glancing around he barked an order at his men "Collect the shrubs you have written down in the local area, and for the love of all that is holy don't fucking sneeze if you see a man eating animal" Whilst his men were collecting samples from the plants, Ant conducted a detailed inspection of the animals, their skin was quite tough but their jaws seemed to be the weak point, and once cut it was easy to carry on, interesting.

After around half an hour of collecting, his men soon returned with ample samples, they'd need to restock everything. He arranged for the men to carry the bird dinos between them, last thing he needed was to drag those two after all the fighting he'd already done and would likely have to do.

He'd thought he'd done well until he saw the dino blade had killed, he pouted a little to himself before he walked up alongside Blade, getting his comment in first before the captain could say anything "Yours might be bigger but I took down two, one of the mooks sneezed so it went on the attack" he gestured towards the two dead dinosaurs before talking about what he'd gathered "Already found some plants to fight infection, it was surprisingly easy to find, on the next round we'll look for pain killers and anything generally useful. We'll need it" he hoped they wouldn't but he knew they would. The crew had a habit of getting injured regularly.
