The trip to the grand line was a very long, and arduous one, taking several routes hardly traveled and relying on a simple compass-like device to point you in the right direction, you could only hope you weren’t too quick to find your demise. And despite all of that, there was also the looming threat of others who would undoubtedly want to sink you for the simple cause of having less competition in just about any endeavor. It was hardly ever about survival. Luckily for Corrida, that wasn’t the case. His travels were completely uninterrupted, and he had the free time to practice with his devil fruit, managing everything on the ship while sitting in one location the entire time. It was difficult, but the odd weather phenomenon seemed to give him a pardon as well, the worst he endured was a little rain.

He had been asleep for a short while before he woke up to the screaming of a man, a voice he had never heard before. “Oi! Hey, kid! Get your ass down here and pay this docking fee!” They yelled again, seeming to lose their patience. Corrida looked around confused. “I don’t remember docking…” But sure enough, the Piranha was perfectly in place at the docks despite him being asleep for such a long time.

After the whole debacle with the rather annoying man, Corrida set off into the town to do… something. He wasn’t sure what yet, but this was the grand line, so there should be something new to enjoy at the very least, right? Maybe? The tired lone boy wandered down the streets, beginning to hear some music he didn’t think he’d ever hear. As he turned a street corner coming into the town proper, he came face to face with an on-going festival. It was very noisy, colorful, and full of costumed people that looked like they were having trouble impressing children. “Eh, whatever.” he shrugged, walking into the festival. The people behind the booths seemed cheerful, and there were plenty of people attending the affair. What to do first?

Sitting on a roof looking down at all the bright colors and people seeing a few rich ones enjoying the festival along with the kids calm was grinning slightly as he chuckled "Who knew this island could have this sort of festival well, time to enjoy it while it’s here." Jumping down after saying that he kept jumping from stand to stand until he was eventually on the ground after a good 10 minutes as he thought "Huh why did that take so long to get down, must be all the roofs and disorienting lights." landing in the middle of a large crowd only to be surrounded by a group of 8 maybe 9 kids as they dragged him to a stand which had multiple drawings and above it a bright colored sign that said Animal Face Paintings

"Woah hey, hey, chill already." He jumped off from the kids as they all looked at him one of them who was a girl most likely about 8 or 9 was asking him "Hey old guy can you give us some paint tubes so we can get our faces painted?" scratching the back of his head calm just pulled out a few paint tubes as they all came back with all sorts of face paintings 2 of them as lions and one bigger kid even had his face painted as a monkey which fit him surprisingly well as calm had to suppress himself from laughing and the kids said their thanks then just ran off.

Climbing up on a stand he looked around for different stands to find some interesting looking ones but he mostly saw throwing rings and one’s that had to do with throwing baseballs most likely used to scam the kids. Seeing one interesting one he jumped off and started walking towards it as it was all the way in one of the secluded parts of the festival that had the title Exotic Fish Catching as the clerk said to him "Got an eye for exotic fish eh, well a few special ones are mixed in." the clerk handed him a small fishing net as he had to try and catch them only for him to catch 3 fish in it, 2 of them having a rainbow pattern on them and calm thought of how he could most likely sell them for a lot on this island until one that looked like a tiny shark only with small needles poking out tore through the net as calm looked at it his eye twitching as he thought "Does this damn fish have a deathwish?" only for the clerk to start laughing and gained a massive grin that would much butter fit on a demon than any human as he said "Told ya a few special ones were mixed in and sorry but only the first try is free, but you can get a 6th try after you buy 5 tries." Calm started questioning how greedy this town was but the fish that tore through the bag kept staring at him like it wanted to fight "Fine i’ll try again."

“Come one, come all to Beautiful Betty’s Bottle Ring Toss! Try your hand, see where it’ll land! You there, young boy!” Betty, the very hairy red headed lady with a very attractive body pointed a finger at Corrida with her acrylic nails. A chill went down his spine, the woman that peered at him from across the street looked so… he couldn’t think of an appropriate word to describe her, and that bothered him even more. While he was staring at the woman trying to figure out what he was looking at, she beckoned to him. “Come here little one, play my game and win glorious prizes!” She said waving to the shelves above her with an assortment of wondrous toys and knick knacks, one of which that stood out particularly strongly was an immaculate white rabbit plushie.

Corrida looked at Betty, his cheeks burning red, he managed to not smile wide and show the vast amount of childish joy welling up inside of him. “Okay… I’ll give it a shot.” he said, somewhat ashamed of himself. Betty handed him a group of plastic rings to toss. “Go for it hun!” She said with a smirk on her face, as she reclined against one of the pillars in her stand, waiting patiently for his attempt.

Taking the first ring, he casually tossed it out onto the sea of bottlenecks, it clanged against several of them before bouncing out and away in an exaggerated manner. “What the…?” he frowned a bit, before taking the next ring with a bit more determination. He thought he had a clever idea for a second. Tossing the ring straight up into the air with a nearly perfect arc he stood on his toes excited for the ring to land, and as it hit, it bounced back directly into his face. He was mildly annoyed, grumbling to himself as he took the third ring in his hand. Another possibly not so great idea came to mind. Twirling the ring around his finger, he carefully flung it across the bottles. The ring skimmed across the several bottle tops before falling between them all uselessly. Corrida slammed his hand on the counter, wanting to call bullshit but he held himself back. “Something wrong, hun?” Betty crooned at him with a shit eating grin on her face. “No, it’s fine!” Corrida retorted, feeling like he was beginning to catch on to the scheme here. He folded his arms annoyed, but he had one final option. Unfurling a ribbon from hair on the back of his neck, he coiled it around one of the rings, to toss it directly downward on the bottles, yet to no avail. “Oi!” Betty yelled at him, holding a sign that read ‘No showing off.’ that he was almost certain wasn’t there before. “This is so stupid!” he slammed his hands on the counter loosing his grip on the last ring in his grasp, as it made it’s uncanny bounces until it finally hugged one of the bottles.

“YEAH, FINALLY!! GIVE ME THE BUNNY!! I-I mean… can I have my… prize.” He blushed once again, feeling rather embarrassed after that outburst.

Betty then, reaching out to Corrida handed him a paddle-ball toy, and for a moment he only looked back and forth between her and the cheap piece of crap in hands before she read his mind, and gave him the low-down. “Look kid, you got the lowest prize level possible, you gotta land the ring on the red bottle for second level prizes, and the golden ring for Mr. Bunny up there, ya read me?”

“Okay fine, give me more rings!”

“Alright, next round is 3 paint tubes!”

“....WHAT…”

Three rounds of trying to catch that one fish was all it took, that’s all it took for calm to in a lack of better words go from calm to crazy as he grabbed the fish not caring if it ripped up his own hand or not and started squeezing it. Not noticing his surroundings a couple of what would be assumed guards that were wearing a bit of orange, but who knows they could most likely afford the luxuries of the island. They rushed at him and tackled him putting him in an armlock and holding his legs down as the owner of the stand was yelling for them about how he was damaging his property and assaulting his stand.Yelling out calm just said "YOUR STAND IS A DAMN SCAM, WATCH I’LL BE BACK."
Soon calm was almost completely immobilized except for his hands that were pretty much useless since he had soon found out after a few moments that the fish turned out to have a poison which most likely wasn’t that strong but considering how many times the fish managed to stab calm with it’s sharp needles that dug their way into his hands and he was soon not able to move on the floor with the guards lifting him up by his arms and legs. Even though he wasn’t able to move at the moment he could see slightly since his eyes were open slightly but his vision was blurry
He was soon thrown out of the festival and the village as he rolled down a hill and somewhat later he was able to move somewhat normally but he was a little sluggish but that didn’t matter all that was going on in his head was how he was gonna get payback on the owner of that stand and the fish along with the guards. Standing up as he started walking while not paying much attention to where he was walking since he was mostly thinking in his head about how to get payback when he found himself nearing the village again where he just used his super hearing (or devil fruit) to listen in on certain conversations about the village and also found out quite a few people thought the festival and stands were a scam as well.
In his head all he was thinking of was a plan to get the citizens to also realize that it was a scam and start a riot. "While they are also rioting I can sneak in and destroy that stand that scammed and probably so many others along with those damn fish I swear if I get my hands on those rainbow fish i’m selling them within a second."

Sylvia was finding the grand line boring. Maybe she would meet someone soon. She didn't know who or where this man called Roofie was yet, but Sylvia was in no rush at all to find him. Gesso Island was the same, Sylvia picked to stay here and learn more about the island, but all that has happened so far. Is many people wishing to steal her colorful items? Sylvia could see a festival and thought it could be fun to see it for herself. Many of her well she wouldn't call them crew mates, more like, tools.

As they when inside and play some of the games she thought it was fun until she entered a small Chinese restaurant, Sylvia would enter with some of her members and tried it, but as she took a bite. She looked upset, walking to the owner. The place was dull and the food was bad. "You're really calling this fun and a restaurant, it's a festival outside, and I hate when a restaurant can't match that energy, and the food is bad." The man would speak up looking mad, not knowing who she was. "Oh like you could do any better. If you get this place full of customers. I will let you take over." Sylvia would smile, as she would walk away inside. "Sounds like fun, you have a deal." Before this took place and she was forced to be a pirate. Sylvia owned many restaurants.

In time the restaurant would look much better inside, even the outside looked better from the Chinese touch she given it. The people outside were looking towards the new place. Sylvia when inside now to see the food, looking at all the chefs. She could tell one thing the order was wrong. As she pointed towards two people. "You two, will take over as the head chefs, also forget anything your old boss asked you to cook, add one thing each you would like on the menu, anything else I will show you how to cook." Everyone would think how was this possible.

Sylvia started to cook, her words and way she showed them were clear. "When you cook, focus on all the details, never let one item down or you will fail the food. If you put more care into just one item, then it will overpower the rest making it lose flavor." She would be cooking the meat, cutting it all up with everything else. "Items we will be making. Sweet and Sour Pork, Gong Bao Chicken, Peking Roasted Duck. We will also make Spring Rolls because people might what something they can hold as they enjoy the festival." (if you two enter, you can pick any two things you have on your mind lol to add I didn't but it has to be Chinese style.) It was one last thing she needed to change. As she looked towards the members of her ship. "Everyone head back towards the ship and grab the Chinese restaurant style clothes." They would go, and within five minutes they came back dressed. Even Sylvia was going to join. The place looks more colorful as many entered. All you could hear is people enjoying it. "Wow, this is one of the best things I have eaten."

Sylvia would be wearing a dress as well it was red and gold. As she would say hello to all the people who enter making them feel at home. Her dress would get many looks. As she would look at the old place who ruined this place. "Well, did I win." The man didn't say a word as he walked away, but he did look happy. He could keep the money from it all. Alexis would keep standing outside trying to get people to come in. Sylvia was not far, from the other two people Calm and Corrida. She did like taking over. She did this in the blues with a restaurant.

It didn’t take very long for the situation that Corrida was in to get much worse, as he found himself running down the street with a stuffed animal concealed poorly on the inside of his jacket while lame festival enforcers tried to catch him and make an example of the little kid who decided to steal from a game stand. It was only fair! Corrida ended up buying seven rounds of that game and didn’t win anything comparable to his newest piece of loot. He came across a lucky find while being chased down by these burly men. There was a stand giving away ice cream to kids at the festival. Rushing into the middle of them, he did his best to duck down and blend in as he waded through the rather annoying kids around him.

He may not have lost them, but he certainly slowed down his pursuers, as they had a more difficult time trying to part the sea of children. Corrida made his way further down the street before ducking behind some barrels of another stand to hide. He remained as still as he possibly could until he heard the passing of hurried footsteps. He could finally breathe.

Pulling out the rabbit, Corrida examined it. Just what the hell was it about this that was so damn alluring? The black beady eyes? The ears, perhaps? The poor imitation of fur? After looking it over, he came to the conclusion that it wasn’t that great, yet he couldn’t bring himself to stop clutching it. In fact, he hugged it tightly, not because he was drawn to it, but because he had just come to the realization he had stolen something intrinsically worthless. All he ever wanted was to find a way to clear his bounty, with that number over his head, there was no way he’d be able to get back to living a normal life. And here he was digging himself deeper. Sure now it’s only a toy, but tomorrow it could be someone’s money or even someone’s life. “I need to stop being so… fatalistic…” he sighed to himself, shoving the rabbit back into his jacket. There was no point in leaving it behind now.

As he began to stand up, he noticed an odd girl leaning against a building. Was it a restaurant? He walked up to the building, looking through the window next to Sylvia at the food being served inside. “Maybe I can lay low in here.” he rubbed his chin while thinking about this. As he walked in, he didn’t say anything to Sylvia, thinking she was taking her break. Once inside, he didn’t order any food, just carefully chose a seat that would give him cover from the windows. He pulled his legs up close on the seat and went to sleep. He felt like he hadn’t slept for a long time even though he had only woken up less than an hour ago.

After he stopped listening in on the conversations for a little bit he was walking around looking at the areas in the town with idea’s of how to do the most damage with and also noticing some nice colors as calm yawned and continued walking and ignored a few glares until one man bumped him on the shoulder intentionally and calm pulled his staff out of his kimono then beat the man over the head with it leaving him a bloody mess and then started walking off while whistling.
Eventually he found himself on another darker part of the town with a intricate system of alleyways and wondered who designed them they were almost perfect for hiding at night but then calm chuckled slightly as he said his thought out loud "I wonder if any assassins or thieves will come out of nowhere and attack me." he sat there for a minute before walking away while laughing the whole way until he got a slightly weird looking restaurant.
The first thing he noticed about the odd restaurant was the lopsidedness of it all as the building was tipped a little to the right, Walking in he noticed the place the place being super loud with the sizzling of pans and the talking of customers and was wondering who brought the whole damn festival into the restaurant that had old looking paint but atleast it wasn’t completely white like a lot of buildings on the odd island and he hoped the rest weren’t like this otherwise he might just retire as a pirate and go back to his home island Ketsuraku.
Deciding to take a seat he walked near the small window which showed a medium sized kitchen through it as all sorts of food were cooked and calm saw one girl wearing a chinese dress and assumed she was a waiter as he asked her "Don’t suppose ya would have some Ketsuraku Rice Wine, and while i'm on that order can I also get some rice with bacon and eggs mixed in? " Sitting back after ordering he looked around at the people who dressed in all sorts of festive clothes that all seemed to care about more than any normal clothes as they took great care to not spill any alcohol or food on them, except for a quiet guy in the back with what looked like a scar that was caused by a bear clawing at his chest and he walked over to the man sitting at his table. "Don’t suppose ya could tell me where you got the scar from?, looks like it might have an interesting story behind it."
The man did a small laugh as he started talking to calm and told him “Aren’t from these parts are you?, well this scar was given to me by a great white beast as tall as several full grown men that had claws made out of iron it’s sort of a legend now but it was named the yasha bear, don’t know where it got the name from but I know it’s a beast that could kill an entire town and the next 3 with it if it didn’t live up in the mountains."
"didn’t expect something like that to be on this island but I wonder if you also believe in this saying, humans are more dangerous than any beast." with the man responding "That’s for damn sure ain’t ever heard of a bear robbing me of my money or stealing the clothes off my back."
With that calm walked back to the seat he was originally at and sat back down finding it hard to imagine the giant bear and thought it might be interesting to meet it, well at a safe distance atleast.

Sylvia was finding it fun to run her own restaurant again. Sylvia would see a small boy headed inside, having a rest on one of the chairs, but Sylvia took note of her own life at that point, she took her first restaurant when she was really young, and nobody in her family was a match for her at all. Maybe this boy had the same type of life.

One of the crew members would ask Sylvia a question. "Should I kick him outside." Sylvia's Eye's would change into that of a leopard. "Never say filth like that again, if you say anything about kicking a child out. I will make sure you swim in the sea, do you understand?" The man would nod and walk away knowing to never do something that cruel with her around.

Sylvia had a soft spot for children. Before the crew member was gone, Sylvia would give an order. "The moment this child wakes up get him anything he would like, and don't ask me a stupid question like is it free because he's a little young to have money on him." It was rare to see Sylvia serious, but she did have her times.

Then a man who was good looking wearing a kimono entered. As Sylvia would let out a smile. "Yes coming right away." His order was up as it was being made by the staff, rice wine and rice with bacon and eggs mixed. Sylvia would bring his food over on her own placing it next to him. "Here is your food and drink." Sylvia thought it could be time for some fun, as she took a seat. "Tell me, you don't look like your from here? You dress a lot like a samurai, but unlike the one I knew, you don't wear a suit. I hope you're not like him, he looked like he was in a bad mood most of the time, not really fun at parties type of person."

She would then look at what he was going to drink. "That drink, you do know it's a lot of alcohol in it. Don't tell me you're going to get drunk and destroy the place." Sylvia would say having a smile.

Corrida was finally roused from his sleep when an older gentleman who was concerned about his family began pestering him. In fact, the man was insistent on helping Corrida find his family that was nowhere to be found, Corrida held back tears as he thought of them, and kept trying to get the man to leave. In a fit of frustration, Corrida’s hands unraveled into ribbons as he shoved the man away, causing him to fall into a waiter carrying a tray of food.

His hands returned to normal slowly, but there’s no way anyone inside missed that bit of action. He wavered between his hands and the man, and just felt defeated. “I’m sorry, just... leave me alone.” He had trouble shaking off the feeling that he was being watched after that, he was getting glances from all around, and hearing the murmurs. He receded into his seat, and sighed, so much for laying low.

One of the waiters, who was very apologetic despite the situation being his fault approached him and asked him if he was hungry. “Oh… sure.” He dug into his pocket and pulled out a small pouch of 5,000 beli and handed it over to the man. “I’ll eat anything, but I prefer beef.” Corrida ate almost half of whatever was given to him, the quality wasn’t really important to him, but it did taste good.

He caught the word “samurai” being used in conversation, and couldn’t help but look for the person in question. The man being questioned by some woman, the same one he had seen outside earlier. He stared at the man and his newest companion from where he sat. Was he really a samurai? He didn’t see a sword on him and he only looked the part vaguely. What would he be doing here anyway?

Calm saw the woman and chuckled as she started threatening a crew member and her eyes changed as he decided to enjoy the show, a little bit after he gained a small grin and then his food was put down in front of him as he blowed on it slightly considering it had a giant steam trail reaching all the way to the roof and calm commented on it saying “That’s a cool trick."
The first thing he did while he was waiting was he grabbed the wine and opened it as he smelled the familiar smell from his childhood that he often drank even though he wasn’t allowed to drink it. He was soon questioned by the woman in a chinese dress as he turned over to her direction “"Tell me, you don't look like your from here? You dress a lot like a samurai, but unlike the one I knew, you don't wear a suit. I hope you're not like him, he looked like he was in a bad mood most of the time, not really fun at parties type of person." as calm responded to her saying "i’m not really a samurai although I have been asked that question quite a bit, and as for the man in the suit I don’t think he would appreciate you talking behind his back like that but since you already said it, i assure you i'm not like him have you ever met a person with this sort of face who is evil? And as for the drink it’s more of me drinking it for old memories but I assure you I can handle it."
Soon calm saw a man who was trying to help a young boy who was sleeping in the restaurant find his family as he looked at the man "Hey I don’t think you should bother him." Soon the boy threw the man into a waiter with a tray full of food as calm sighed but what calm mostly took notice of was that his hands turned into ribbons as he wondered in his mind "Another devil fruit user?" Walking over to the man and helping him up he just said “Let me handle the kid alright." The man on the ground nodded and accepted his help as he walked back to his table and grabbed two cups sitting in between the kid and the girl from before.
Calm waited until the kid finished eating which he only finished half of everything “You should eat more than that if you want to grow taller and especially if you wanna make it to that family of yours eventually." He moved one cup across the table towards the kid and the other towards the woman filling them with the wine “Don’t suppose you could speak your troubles could you kid?" Drinking from his own cup after he said that he turned to the kid waiting for his response.

Sylvia was looking at the kid who was being bothered by an older looking man, but the child didn't look like he wished for any help, she only thought he would throw a fit, but what happened was shocking, his hands turn into ribbons how was that possible? It had to be a devil fruit. "That child has a devil fruit?" Not many things could make Sylvia shocked, but this did. She was not sure, if she liked the idea of someone so young having this power, losing your ability to swim, Sylvia already knew how to swim and knew the risk of traveling the sea with this weakness, but someone so young couldn't really understand, what he has done and how dangerous his life would be.

Sylvia would see all the food on the floor as she would tell all the waiters to clean it up. The waiter was handed money, but then he would start to sweat, saying to the child in a nice tone. "It's okay, it's free." He would say moving away, coming back with the food. The comment about her eye's changing Sylvia would only say to him. "What trick?" She would say with a playful smile sitting down.

"I'm sure he wouldn't." She would say letting out a laugh. As she saw the child Sylvia would smile at him. "Hello, I hoped you liked my food, but please don't try and use your devil fruit here, it's dangerous." The man who is known as Calm, passed her a drink, it was not the first time a guy has tried this but why give it to a small child? As she would look towards Calm, with her looking at him with a smile. "This is not the first time a guy has tried giving me a drink, but why are you giving wine to a small child?" She would say facing him, what would he say?

At first, Corrida was apprehensive when the supposed samurai sat down at his table after he had just dealt with that man. He felt like they were trying to keep him tame, which only frustrated him a bit, he already felt calm… mostly. He had a lot of trouble figuring Calm out until, the man passed him a cup sake, which connected a few dots for him. Corrida took one hand, and carefully wafted the scent of the drink before covering his nostrils. The aroma left his nose with a burning sensation. “Wow, that’s powerful! No thanks…” Corrida looked down at his plate when Calm talked about him eating more.

What he said was mostly true, but he had just lost his appetite at the moment. “Miss,” the boy said looking at Sylvia, “your food tastes great, thank you! Is there any way I can take this with me?” She seemed to be all over this place, she worked here but she hadn’t handled many orders personally. Was she the boss? “But please, sir. Don’t talk about my family as if you know them. I’m sick of it.” he stared down into the cup of sake. “I know people I trying to be nice, and are concerned for my well-being, but it becomes a burden having to listen to strangers lament things they don’t understand.”

Calm asked Corrida to tell him his troubles, and he only sighed. It was refreshing that someone actually asked rather than assuming the answers, yet his mood didn’t lighten. “My parents abandoned me. I’m not upset at them, I still live okay I guess. But I want to find them if anything just to ask why they left. To ask them what was more important than their son. And now I’m wanted, because I’ve had to do things I wish I could have avoided, there’s always some obstacle that puts me deeper in this hole. I stole this devil fruit power, and it’s helped me get past many of those obstacles, but I think me stealing is becoming a habit…” his voice grew quieter the more he spoke, concerned as to who might hear him, but he unveiled the stuffed rabbit hidden in his jacket. He blushed as he held it close to him. Why was it so comforting?

Calm leaned back slightly thinking on Sylvia’s question about why he would give wine to a child and after a few seconds said “It would most likely be because i’ve always felt that any sort of alcohol can make you reveal your problems in one way or another be it through words or actions hell you don’t even need to drink it for that to happen. Hope that’s a good enough answer had a few problems with people getting offended at my answers and trying to kill me." He chuckled saying the last sentence and then took a drink again.
Looking at Corrida as he started talking about his family he sighed slightly and responded saying “It can be hard sometimes to have your own family abandon you but I believe that no parent will leave their child behind willingly, I know that perfectly well the island I was born on only about 10% of people actually had a father figure in their life and 5% lost them as the men went out to sea when they were still kids. Well as for the goal of finding them and asking them that question I can probably help you with that, besides stealing isn’t that bad of a thing just gotta be smart about it and not get caught. Also since we’re on the topic of devil fruits I have one of my own you could say although it isn’t that special, mine just allows me to have a power along the lines of super hearing although I can sometimes hear people's hearts beating or the cracking of bones, truly a gruesome sound."
Standing up and stretching calm looked at the kid “One thing though your powers could come in handy, we’re gonna go bear hunting although the bear is 4 times the height of a human." Waiting for their reaction he chuckled with an evil grin.

Sylvia would smile as the boy didn't wish to drink, of course, if he tried, Sylvia was not sure if she would allow it because he was way too young to even go near something like this, it was double more and your usual drink. As the young boy called her Miss, she smiled at him, focusing her red eyes on the young boy. "Thank you, and sure you can." Sylvia would hear what he said, but she kind of had the same deal with her family. "Well, when I was about your age, maybe younger. My family left me on an island in the blues, but I didn't let it worry me, I showed the island, by taking over a restaurant and kicking the old owner out, but shown my skills first, and allowed them to agree to the change of ownership. As I need to pay for it, but my point is you might not like the answer. My family just didn't like my talent."

"One day I wish to go back and see my family on a island, that is close by, but they wouldn't be to happy to see I have a bounty of 80,000,000." She would say that like it was not big news, having a smile on her. "I don't wish to kill you for that, but don't give wine to a child." She would say, not liking it still. His devil fruit was really odd, he could hear things from far away, that could come in handy if you had a bounty and knowing if your attacks did any damage. "You're going to fight a bear? Sounds like you could die, if you go after something like that. If you go after something with the power of an animal you should be really careful." Sylvia couldn't help but let out a small laugh at what she just said. Having the zoan devil fruit of the leopard.

Corrida looked askance at Calm after he made his suggestion, forgetting the plushie for a moment. “I suppose that’s your way of asking for my help? I don’t really think I’d be of much use to you fighting a bear... “ he said as he considered the situation. Devil fruit or not, Calm didn’t look like the type to wrestle with something bigger than him. Maybe he ought to be there, just to make sure he didn’t get himself killed. If something were to happen he might be able to get him to safety. He wasn’t doing anything anyway, and getting away from the city would keep him from being spotted so easily.

Hearing Sylvia talk made him very… concerned. There was something about this girl that he didn’t really like. Maybe it was her attitude or the way she spoke about herself. She at least agreed with his sentiment, the proposition of taking on this bear was rather crazy. That was until she laughed, and then he really couldn’t tell what she was thinking.

“Alright. I guess I’ll come with you. I’ve got nothing better to do.” He did his best to stuff the bundle of food and the rabbit into his already very small traveling bag, noticing just how little carry space he had in there, be he made it fit. Getting up from the table, he adjusted his sunglasses to lay on the bridge of his nose instead of on his forehead. He still harbored some concerns, and he had no idea why his gut wouldn’t tell him to just leave, so he was along for the ride. “After you.”
