The expression on the male’s face who stood before Shugo said it all. He could see the burning fighting spirit in his eyes. His face engraved with a large smile, Shugo knew he was feeling the rush of battle. Shugo always felt that rush when facing someone stronger than him, someone of worth. Combat now ah days was getting boring. Sometimes his opponent could be strong, but stupid, making the battle easy again. It was rare for him to find someone strong in brains and might, yet he could see that this male carried that potential. Shugo could not help himself, he slightly chuckled. This guy looked older than him now that he took a closer look, it was odd, but different upbringing craft different people. Shugo grew up in an environment where he had to fight to live, he had to kill to survive. Forced against his will by the government. He sailed the seas with his parents from a young age, he was meant to fight. He bathed in the pages of the art of war one might say, but the way he carried himself did not make that apparent.

His personality unstable, he could flip shit at a moment's notice, oddly rebought he had been calm since his training. Or was it that he had found another person to travel with? “A rush eh? Wait till you meet some of the people I hang with, they Tango better than him. I removed him being allot stronger, but eh time I guess.” He shrugged his shoulders as he sheathed both of his swords, just as he did, Shugo would hear the ringing of a den den. The sound resonated from the back right pocket of Anti, who was still lying in the ground. “My name, I go by Shugo, but the Government liked to call me Needle Mouth Nagasaki.” His right hand would pull down the bandages in front of his mouth to show his sharp teeth, thus the reason for his name.

Shugo, would retrieve the Den Den immediately after displaying his teeth, he answered it and was greeted by a loud scream. “Aghhhh boss! Where are you! You were suppose to meet us at the dock. We can't take the ship without you! They are pushing us back! They marines are calling for backup! Hur--- .” The call suddenly ending, Anti having enough strength to grab and crush the den den suddenly. After doing so his form would revert. Unable to talk he wrote in blood “You and I may not be allies, but my subordinates have nothing to do without dispute. If you can… help them get off. I'll be go-.” Shugo could care less about this man's last wishes so he dragged his foot through his words. “Eh, help them? Tsk, I'm not a fan of you KKK boys. You're the reason I got trapped here, they can help me though and exchange I will let them live. Uhhh you, guy with the head band. I didn't get your name. What is it? Matter fact tell me on the way, we got a ship and a crew waiting for us. “

As the two continued to talk it seemed like the kind of group he was getting into was more and more of his kind. It was kind of weird when Joseph really thought about it but in the end he really wanted to get off this island and anyone would do for the moment. Also who knows what would come out of this alliance. It seemed like this guy was strong and if he had equally as strong friends it would build up his strength. In no time at all a den den began to ring and it was then that Joseph realized this guy wasnt the main dude but a subordinate. As he began to speak to his boss it became apparent that there were others stronger then him.

However, as the captain was about to speak Anti color grabbed the den den and crushed it within his grasp. Quickly after killing the poor snail the man reverted to his weaker form. Without access to his voice he was only able to spell out his need. Joseph thought abotu why this man would ask for such things but Shugo paid no mind to the mans dying wish and with a swift kick disrupted the words that were sprayed out on the ground.

At that moment Joseph saw the perfect opportunity to cement his thoughts and intentions. With all his remaining strength he bent his right leg backwards and with all the torque of his trunk he landed a dead shot on Anti-Color's ribcage. The feeling of the ribs breaking at his feet was almost beautiful. It felt great for Joseph and it was time he realized his destiny.

Names Joseph, Joseph the smith. Now lets get that ship. The confident smith stated as he followed the lead of Shugo. It seemed like the beginning of a bright future.

“Shit, kicking him while he is down. That's what I like to see.”Shugo thought as he finally took his leave. He was now aware of his tag alongs name. It would make conversation easier now that he was aware of this, but Shugo wasn't much of a talker in actually. His actions often spoke for him, so he would not really exchange too many words with Joseph unless needed. Shugo could only hope Joseph wasn't too chatty. He turned his head slightly to the left to peek behind himself. Joseph was within his line of site, keeping up with his pace quite well, but Shugo wasn't even using a quarter of his speed. “I might as well make things interesting.” His words could be heard from a distance, but would Joseph catch on to what he meant.

With a flick of the wrist Shugo would draw Kaze, the first of the Kaze Blades. He swiftly maneuvered his hand across his body aiming at the trunk of the trees he ran by, leaving a trail of collapsing white trees. The purpose of this was to test Joseph's evasive maneuverability. If he was unable to dodge such obstacles on his own he would prove to be only a nuisance to Shugo, it was tough love right out the gate. With a total of four collapsing trees he would need to think fast so they would. It crush him. Each tree would be falling at different times. The furthest tree (4) being the last to fall and the closest tree to Joseph, currently the tree right over him would be the first to fall (1). The next tree (2) would fall at the same time tree (3) did.

Shugo had accurately cut the trees to fall this way. It was all about timing, for Joseph to get through he would have to quickly take in his surrounding and act accordingly. Shugo was not gonna stand around and wait, instead he continued onward. His blade still in hand and a smile on his face. He may have went overboard, but he had true faith that Joseph would overcome this small challenge, for it was the first of many.

The words that resonated through Shugo as he continued on their journey gave Joseph a little time to prepare for what was going to happen next. Joseph wasn’t the fastest individual but he was also not the smartest. In his own right his strength came from his endurance and there was only hope that he could endure what was about to happen next. In a blink of an eye Shugo had unsheathed his sword and cut the trees in front of him. It was no doubt a test for Joseph to pass and it would come to fruition that he passed said test if he wanted to continue on his journey.

Speeding up Joseph easily cleared the first tree considering that he was right next to it but the second and third tree would prove to be a little more haphazard. With great speed he rushed towards the two falling trees and by the skin of his teeth he passed them. With no time to stop he continued to rush after Shugo but with the final tree nearly completely fallen Joseph had a completely different idea. This wasn’t some game of cat and mouse and with a quick jump he landed atop the falling tree. Right as it was about to land on the ground Joseph pushed off and accelerated himself up into the air. With no grace at all Joseph came rolling in front of Shugo.

So, what the hell was that for? You trying to kill me? Lucky for you I am not so stupid to go running under trees that often. I don’t think you noticed, I don’t have a fancy blade to chop trees and I doubt my body can blast through them just yet. I hope following you I could accomplish that some day. Anyways, was this some type of test? Joseph stated annoyed at the situation. Waiting patiently for his answer.

His face did not show it, but he was glad to see Joseph made it through this small test. Shugo didn't waste time replying to his words, he let his actions speak for him. He sheathed his sword and chuckled slightly. Although he wasn't fond of staring at the back of Joseph. Yes he may have proved himself twice today, but not enough to lead the way. With ease, Shugo would up his pace, the look and his eye said keep up. Being extremely agile due to his intensive training, he took to the high ground. His right foot dimly planting on the trunk of the tree, he would launch himself up ward. The bandages around his right arm unraveling as he motioned his arm, moving it much like a whip, just as he did with his Thorned Kazed when fighting Anti. His bandages would act in ways that allowed him to swing himself tree to tree until he had desired to land on the branches.

Much like a ninja he jumped tree to tree, only landing when he was just outside the Turpintown limits. The pace was fast, but he moved at a rate where Joseph would still be able to see him, although keeping up with Shugo speed would still prove difficult for some like Joseph. Shugo knew this, but it was all to teach him. Shugo was no Five star teacher, but eventually he himself would get better. Now standing just outside the main village, he waited for Joseph, once the two had met up, no time would be wasted. Shugo didn't discuss a game plan or nothing. He simply waved his hand, signaling Joseph to follow. Shugo was never one to really plan ahead, he often rushed into thing, so it was common for him to bite off more than he can chew.

Making his way through the white village again eyes would be attracted to the both of them, of course it was color that they wanted. Shugo could only rest his hand on the hilt of his blade again. He hated coming to this beat down place, he felt Color blinded when he was here. All the white made him feel like he was in an insane asylum. Oddly enough no one approached them, maybe it was because of Shugo s earlier display. Now getting closer to the docks, the marines had made a barricade. They were keeping people out of the docking area and directing them out. The battle at the dock was actually causing considerable damage.

Shugo could hear the cannon fire and see the smoke. The civilians exiting the area screamed with terror, some suffering from injuries. Shugo wondered just who was giving the marines a run up fight like this, but first he would need to carve his way there. He made his way through the thick of the crowd and stood before the marines policing the area. His demeanor said it all, he was pushing his way inside no matter what. With his sword drawn Shugo to a single step forward before suddenly exploding forward at full speed. The marine before him would not be able to even witness the next chain of events, yet he would find him self looking at his body from a low angle. Shugo had cut his head clean off. His blade moved so fast it seemingly vanished, the wind guiding his strike to easily pass through his foes neck.

He created a single hole in the barricade and upon doing the the wall would fall apart sending the marines into a panic, now was the time to attack. On a battle scale like this he would not be able to pay much attention to his prodigy, he would have to fend for himself, but lucky Shugo took most of the attention with his actions. It would be very possible for Joseph to go undetected, but Shugo was honestly expecting Joseph to raise hell alongside him.

There were times in a mans lie when he realized he had to do something or he would never accomplish anything. This was the time that Joseph was waiting for and even though it seemed like a bad idea at the time it was obvious that this was what he was was meant to do. He held no ill intentions towards the Marines that were in front of him but he felt like he held an allegiance with Shugo. He had only known him for a few moments but he was already feeling like a brother to him and because of this he would follow his lead; even if it meant to take the Marines head on.

There was no doubt in Joseph's mind at this point that the man he had become allies with was a strong individual. In fact it became so apparent as the head of a Marine began to roll on the ground near him. It wasn't the most subtle way of escape but deep down it felt right to Joseph. It was as if he was meant to do this and he would full accept the fact that he was ready to follow.

He had never killed a man before but if he saw Anti as a grand example he would make these Marines fall if it meant that he could get to his dream. No sooner did the head of one Marine fall that another would have the same fate ushered to him. With much warning and without much preparation Joseph made a running lunge towards an expecting Marine and with all his force he landed a skull crushing attack on the man. His head caved in and he could feel the brain matter separate.

It was an unsuspecting result as he continued to fight his way through the fodders.

I am going to follow your lead Shogu, hope you have a plan. Joseph stated as he continued to mash in the brains of the marines around him.

There was no turning back now...He was a Pirate

Shugo knew he had chosen the right person, although he did not know how long this would last. He was the type to grow bored quickly, the type to lose interest in someone in a matter of minutes. Although, as long Joseph showed promise and resolve, Shugo may just enjoy keeping him around in the long run. He smiled under the bandages which covers his face, thinking to himself of the future endeavors. This was really just the start, but it was not time to show Joseph the world he was entering. Shugo would rush ahead sword drawn “ Keep up, we are gonna cut our way straight to the ship where the main battle is. I'll leave the rear to you Jospeh make sure no one gets past you. If I get hit in the back, that means you failed.” His words carried volume. With no hesitation his sword moved along the currents of the wind.

His eyes narrowing as his breathing became calm, as if time had stopped Shugo would taken in his surrounding areas using the blessed site of observation Haki. True, the surrounding enemies were entry level marines, but even ants can be might in numbers. The first to jump in his path would quickly meet his end. A swift strike across the chest would put an end to this marine story. As his body hit the ground, Shugo eyes would immediately race to his left, now looking into the eye of the charging marine. The marine quickly halted his approach and attempted to retreat, Shugo would use Thorned Kaze to stop this from happening. For seeing his opponents moves and choice of retreat, Shugos blade would extend to grab the marine by the leg and drag him in.

Once he was close enough Shugo would have his sword release its grip on the marines ankle and stab him through the chest with not just one sword, but two. He used the marine for a meet shield for the next upcoming event. Shots would be rapidly fired at him, but Shugo had foreseen such acts. Maneuvering properly to face the bullets head on, his marine meat shield would take the damage. 6 bullets would penetrate his meat shield, one actually making it all the way through and scratching the right side of Shugo face. He sighed, it was another scar to add to the books. Even with foresight he was not untouchable.

He disarmed himself of his shield by removing his swords from the chest of the marine. His next plan of attack was to get rid of the 6 marines guarding the ship docking. He would need to dispose of them before he could. These six were the one who just shot at him, using the standard military rifle. He could tell they too were entry level, he was growing confused on who was giving Anti Colors men such trouble. On his way through, he had only encounter marines. Meaning Anti’s crew had to be the ones causing trouble on the ships. He did see some of their bodies laying around scattered among the dead Marines, but for every one of them were three marines meaning Anti’s crew had to carry some skill, so whoever made them scream like that had to be strong. This ideas made Shugo smile. He wanted to see who was making this place rock. “I'll give you all the chance to move out o- “ Shugo moved his head suddenly, with his Haki still active he would be able to dodge the sudden attack from one of the Six marines. A simple shot aimed for his head. There was no talking with these people, so he continued with his usual approach. Using the technique Blix Vortex Assault he would easily slice and dice his way through the six. His blade delivered multiple strikes each stroke releasing crescent blades of wind to dismember the insects before him. The pathway to the ship was open, he could only hope Joseph had made it this far.

Shifting through the crowd of Marines it seemed like no one took much interest in Joseph, and he almost preferred it. However, he wanted to be the center of attention and he could only hope that he would be one day. However, right now he just wanted to get off this island and make it into the world of piracy. Punch after punch and kick after kick Joseph began to flatten out some of the more distracted Marines and it was getting him excited. However, as he continued his onslaught the sound of guns began to cry out in the air and it was at that moment that things felt real. He could actually die but as he looked on at Shugo and his skill with a sword he felt more at ease.

Currently the man was fighting six Marines with weapons and it was with ease that they began to fall by his sword. At that moment he realized that the way to their destination was now open and he was not far behind his friend. The blades of Shugo had made quick work of all six Marines but one seemed to have survived the onslaught and it would be that one man that would cement Joseph as a criminal. The poor Marine was barely able to sit up as it was but his iron will allowed him to pick up his gun and aim it at Shugo who had his back turned. Luckily, Joseph spotted it way before it was a threat and was already high up in the air. With a crash landing Joseph's feet landed on the mans skull and blood began to spurt out of the mans orifices.

Watch out Shugo, that guys almost shot at you. You see how I jumped on his skull? Anyways, let get to your friends. We have a world to explore. Joseph stated as he patted his comrade on the back.

The shoulder of the rifle be charged would make Shugo’s ears twitch much like an wild animal. For once he had let down his guard. Even with his Haki, because he had already solidified that his enemies were dead, he did not bother to actually confirm this. His choice to push ahead would come back to bite him. He needed to act quickly, spinning in the ball of his right foot, ready to counter, but at this range, he would not be able to make the maneuver in time. “Shit, this gonna h-” The sound of bones cracking would halt his thoughts. He was saved by a very unexpected person, Jospeh, “Well I did tell him to watch my back, but damn!” He voiced under his breath.

Shugo was quite embarrassed, he never actually imagined himself being saved by Joseph. He wanted to laugh, but instead he played it cool. Sheathing his swords after wiping the blood off the blades on his pants. “Me get shot? Tsk I was waiting for you to take him out. You were taking so long I was gonna have to do it myself.” His words were filled with holes. Even an armature could see that Shugo was not expecting an attack from the rear after he dropped his guard, but maybe Joseph was a little dense...yet he had proved to be actually smart. Shugo on the other hand was not so smart, unless it was on the field of battle. He had no ideas how to do everyday things, like make his own food or even count past 100.

“Yet, you are right we need to move. The den den message said something about Reinforcements. So let's do away with just the marines in the ship. We can enslave the others to man the ship for us.” Shugo had actually come up with a plan for once, which was odd. He didn't bother to wait for an answer. He boarded the ship on his own and what he saw was what he expected. The remaining members of Anti’s crew had been forced into a corner. Completely surrounded by a Dozen marines. One of the 11 stood out, this had to be who was causing the most trouble. Shugo smiled, his blood began to boil. There were only 6 of Anti’s crew man left and Shugo planned to enslave every one of them, only after his thirst had be satisfied.

“Oi.” Shugo let his presence be known drawing attention to himself: “You with the fucking coat! I can tell your strong why waste your time with these scrubs?” Shugo said as lowered his stance, his right foot now positioned in the rear and his left foot forward. He squatted down and began to stretch his legs. “You see, I'll be taking this ship, Me and this guy here and we will be taking those fools with us.” Shugos voice sounded very cheerful at the moment as if he was joking about the situation. After stretching he would remove his top piece, he did not want it getting in the way of his battle.

“Wait who the hell is thi-” “Shut up, your boss Anti, he is dead. We killed em. I'm your new boss, more like master. Meaning those marines are now messing with my property.” His voice calm and cold, his mood now tilting.

The marine would raise his right hand, giving his soldiers the signal to halt. He turned to face Shugo revealing his appearance. He was quite stylish, dressed in a all grey suit and tie, with wet black hair, a smooth goatee and stylish designer glasses. He appears to be in his late thirties, from looks alone Shugo could tell he had experience, so Shugo would watch him closely.

Posted Image

The marine would move his left hand down into his pocket, Shugo quickly reacting by placing his hand on his sword.:”Calm down, I'm checking something.” The marine said as he pulled out a small bounty book and began to flip through the pages. He was unaware of Shugo’s name so he went off looks:”Ha, Shugo Needle Mouth Nagasaki, Yes? Only 13 Mil. Ya not much, so you really aren't worth my time, but since you wanna be put down so bad...I'll execute you and these dogs now. I Commander Greyhound will be bringing you all into the custody of the marines for the crimes you committed. With that being said I'll handle Shugo, the rest of you finish off these six and that one standing next to Shugo.” With his orders begin given the battle would commence.

The six remaining KKK members would use the time he spent talking to regroup, creating a circular formation to watch each other's back. 7 marines would be focused on the 6 of them, the other 4 would quickly rush at Joseph surrounding him. Crooked smiles on there face showed that they meant business and they weren't as easy as the marines he had fought moments against. This would actually prove challenging if he did not act accordingly.

Shugo would not be able to pay much attention to the 6 remaining KKK members and Jospeh. He had felt with a Commander before, back when he did the red hand tournament. Possible his strongest opponent considering Shugo had to run away, although he did take one of his arms. Although this time would be different, there would be no running, it was either win or lose, live or die. For Shugo win and live was the only option. His foe had already underestimated him because of his low bounty. The two of them would let these eyes meet, with a bat of the eye, the two would clash, Shugo using Moeru Kaze. His sword would clash with the forearm of his opponent, his skin was as hard as steel. Shugo was aware that his enemy was using Haki. Oddly Shugo had yet to learn how to use armaments, thus putting him in a dis advantage.

While training he focused more on his observational skills, this may prove to be fatal if he took any critical damage. He would have to be fast with each of his strikes, he would need to stay on top of his foe.

There was something to be said about the actions of Joseph as of late and it was obvious that within the next few moments more actions would continue to pile onto his already increasing experience. However, Joseph loved every second of it and he was unaware of how amazing it would feel to kill a person. He only got so far as punching a guy into submission before today but he had already killed two people. Albeit with the help of Shugo, but it was also Shugo that gave him a chance and he didn’t want to mess it up for him. The Marines in front of him seemed strong but not nearly as intimidating as the one facing Shugo. A commander was nothing to joke about and in that moment Joseph would realize it was such a bigger world.

Four of the Marines surrounded him and though he was at a massive disadvantage with numbers, he was sure he could beat his enemy with his wit and strength. They circled Joseph like a vulture and one quickly pounced. He rushed at Joseph and with quick thinking Joseph kicked a weak board up from the deck, which tripped the man forward. It was already too late for the Marine at that point as Joseph had his body turned to deliver a massive kick.

The loud thud of the kick landed on the falling Marine and the force was so strong it pushed him back tripping and falling over another one of the Marines. With that opportunity Joseph ran. He ran not because he was ready to quit but because he needed to fight this group in a more confided space.

I am heading down below Shugo, Beat that old fart. Joseph screamed over to Shugo, hoping his comment would reach the Commander.

Meanwhile, another shot rang out and it was aimed at Joseph. Grazing his left arm he winced with pain.

Come get me Marines! Joseph stated as he licked his wound. He went below deck with three of the remaining Marines following.

With the. Style already beginning, there would be no time for conversation, well on Shugo's end. While in battle he was not very talkative. He was not the type exchange words with some e he was trying to kill. Just from this clash, he could tell that his opponent carried son actual skill. This man was equal or even stronger than Shugo. The idea of him being stronger made the needles mouth swordsman smile. His blood boiled with intensity. Adrenaline raced through his vein like a high speed drug. A self induced high would take over his body as his eyes began to widen. Bright yellow eyes showed signs of joy. Shugo let of a long groan as his eyes rolled back to his head. At that moment Greyhound would take advantage of Shugo's stimulation. Maneuvering his forearm so that his blade would grind against its surface, redirecting the attack downward toward the ship flooring.

Doing so would force Shugo's momentum forward, throwing him off balance, Greyhound quickly following up with a strong knee to the center of Shugo's chest. The blow being enough to send him rolling back along the ship deck floor. His body would continued to roll until he hit the port side of the ship. His eyes would be closed, and he would look to be unconscious:” Well what should I expect from a 13 mil bounty? The boys back at base may call me a bully for this one. Tsk, it will contribute to my ra.”

Wicked laughter would escape the lips of Shugo, laughter which would bring shock into the heart of Greyhound. He was surprised to see Shugo wasn't down for the count, he had no idea just how strong Shugo was. Shugo would stand up slowly, his body rising from the ground as if he was rising from the dead. His arms seeming lifeless as he arched his back to the sky, slowly shifting his weight forward so that he could now look at the one in front of him. Words would not be needed to carry out what Shugo was thinking, his sudden, halt in his laughter would say it all. His eyes narrowing and the large smile on his face disappearing just as fast as it came. His blood lust could be felt through the air, the surrounding area becoming thick, his malice expelled from his body as if he was a demon from hell.

His chooses blade being drawn he was prepared to pounce on his prey. Greyhound began to smile, he could see that the Shugo had some fighting spirit, that this may prove to be more interesting than he thought. The idea of that even brought him to the edge of his seat, one might say. He removed his marine coat in a flashy fashion, a gust of wind would allow for the coat to dance on its current soaring high. A moment of silence would happen between the two, the sea waters and the breeze being as still as the night. Upon the coat hitting the ground the two would race forward, booth quick to act and change their direction or approach. Shugo putting enough force in his right foot, so that the moment it strikes the ground the wood beneath him would splinter, cracking down the middle as he used the base to shift his direction. Greyhound would surprisingly not be able to keep up with the sudden burst of speed, so he acted accordingly.

He halted his pursuit of the devil known as Shugo and braced himself. His eyes would able to follow Shugo, so he read his actions accordingly. Shugo quick change in direction was much like a wild animal, he tried to confuse Greyhound, constantly changing his approach, to the point wooden splints would be covering the air, he needed an opening and he would have to make one. He decided to attack his enemies back. With a burst of speed he rushed at Greyhound’s backside. The blade aimed to impel him, Greyhound predicting the Assault would create a barrier along his skin at the point of contact, Shugo had expected this, thus why he needed to create and opening. Quickly changing his plan of attack before his blade would strike, his right hand would release the blade allowing it to fall in his left hand to be caught in an alternate grip, now holding the blade in reverse, he lowered his body to the ground spinning counter clockwise so that the blunt side of his blade could connect with Greyhound’s ankles, Forcibly tripping him up.

Greyhound being caught off guard by the attack was actually impressed, but he was still quick to react, this was not his first rodeo. As his feet left the ground, he would lean back, allowing his hands to connect to the ground, performing a handstand, Greyhound was known for his strength and style, so supporting his body weight with his hands was nothing. He continued his rebound by jumping of his hands ascend into the air. His body would spin much like a top as he raised off the ground. Once he reached the highest point, his head would still be facing the ground. He set his sights on Shugo. Using the incredible strength he would kick of the air with such force air within his vicinity would ripple creating a shockwave. As he descended he would spin at such high speed his body would burst into flames. This was Greyhound’s Flaming Tornado technique.

Shugo would have to act quickly, using a technique known as Shift: Rotation.Shugo motioned his blade properly, while spinning counter-clockwise to create a perfect sphere, just outside of the swords reach, any attack that comes in contact with the sphere is repelled back a the foe with additional power along, with the effects. This being the same technique he used earlier against Anti, it was currently his strongest defensive move. The two attack collided creating a wave of destruction. The ship would rock back and forth as small tides around the ship would turn into waves. The surface below them would crack sending them down to the second deck of the ship. Both the two of them being blown back by the force of there techniques colliding, Shugo stabbing his sword in the ground to stop himself from skidding back, but no time would be wasted, a hard kick would be delivered to his face from Greyhound sending him flying through the ship's wall. Shugo would find himself covered in a pile of wood as he dug his way out with ease.

Again, his foe would be right on top of him as he exited the pile of wood. Greyhound knew he could not keep up with Shugo's speed but none of that mattered if he kept him down. His right hand would be aimed at Shugo's head, using the foresight of Haki his eyes would be open to the incoming attack. He performed a swift head moment to dodged the punch, the strikes carried enough force that he displaced the air, blowing a hole in the side of the ship, Shugo took advantage of this opening as an operation of attack. With all the force he had, while rising up he would deliver a hard kick to Greyhound’s chin. The hit carried just enough force to lift him off the ground. Shugo was not one to throw punches and kicks so this was unexpected, but while he delivered his kick. He would have already drawn his next sword. As his enemy was knocked up and back, Shugo would use Thorned Kazes ability to extend to wrap around his foes leg and slam him along the ground, dragging him across the flooring of ship before throwing him in the air.

These two warriors were having a battle that made the ship shake, both of their lives were on the line, yet they were having the time of their lives. Meanwhile 2 floors below him would be Joseph who was also fighting for his life. The two of them made a strong pair, yet the battle was not won yet.

His heart was beating for the first time in a long time and he could really feel himself becoming stronger as the day had passed. It was almost surreal if he really thought about the situation that got him in where he was right now. All his life he had been searching for a way off this island, whether it be pirate or merchant he had always wanted off this piece of white land he had called his home for so long. It was also until this day that he truly realized he belonged with the pirates. The simple idea of being lawless and doing what he wanted really tickled his fancy and he was ready to take the next step. He had killed two men in the day and a couple more wouldn’t really bother him.

Remembering back to the defeat of Anti, he realized he needed a friend like Shugo to mentor and protect him until he was strong enough; even though he had grown alone. Joseph was ready for the next step and he felt the only way to accomplish this was to prove that Marines were not people to him but instead steps to climb to the top of the list.

The deck below was an interesting area and though it looked confined there seemed to be plenty of room for Joseph to handle his enemies. As he descended down the steps he continued to think of his next plan and there it was. A pistol lying on the floor of the stairs seemed to be destiny as he picked up the weapon without losing a second in stride. Reaching the bottom of his descent he waited for the Marines. His plan would be a sneaky and horrible one but it would be one that would give him the upper hand.

The sound of the Marines echoed through the chambers of the underbelly and even though it was difficult to pinpoint where it was coming from Joseph knew. He knew well enough to lift the weapon and aim it right at the door form the side. He had assumed the height of each Marine and he was positive that despite the small discrepancy he would be successful in his next attack.

Over here, I think he went over he… The Marine yelled out before his sentence was interrupted by the sound of a gunshot. A direct hit left Joseph almost in excitement as the brains of the Marine painted the wall next to them. The unique mural would be a chilling reminder that this was a game of life and death.

Lets keep this going for you guys…I say we do this for real now. Two against one, how does that one sound? Joseph stated confidently as his eyes pointed at the slumped over Marine on the floor next to him.

The evident fear in the face of the Marines made it seem like they were ready to run but they knew that if they did they might get worse from on the deck where both of their superiors were fighting. There was no doubt that the individuals that left this fight weren’t leaving without blood on their hands.

The two Marines looked at themselves and nodded before taking in a large gulp for courage. The two rushed Joseph in a coordinated attack and would have been quite successful if they realized first that Joseph had a weapon still. Despite the rifle only having one shot it was still an excellent club. Swinging for the hand of one of the Marines he was able to catch his fist. The sound of breaking bone echoed through the cabin as a smug look washed over Josephs face. However, the other Marine was able to catch a good fist onto the cheek of the blacksmith. This sent him staggering away to reclaim his position.

The screaming from the crippled Marine was a deterrent for the next attack but they were a tough group of individuals. Given morale from his partner the two attacked again with no regard for their own safety. As the clash continued Joseph was able to land another hit with his pistol. The face of the crippled Marine had met the iron weapon again and it seemed like he was out for the count.

It was now just Joseph and the healthy Marine. His opponent had not suffered any injuries with in the fight and Joseph was beginning to feel the stress of the altercation. Heavy breathes started to come out and it was beginning to get really hot within the cabin.

Screaming the Marine threw wild punches. Though the punches were not very skilled they still landed on their mark and provided Joseph with more to think about as he continued to stagger back towards the unconscious Marine. Suddenly, without notice the Marine that was lying on the floor grabbed at Joseph’s leg. Unable to let go it seemed like he was in trouble as the other Marine rushed at the two with a cannonball.

The Marine with the ball seemed unsteady on his feet due to the lack of strength but he had enough to begin waddling awkwardly at Joseph. There was no doubt as he picked up more steam and tossed the ball towards his shoulder that he was going to throw it right at Joseph’s body.

With no time to think and still weak from the fight to escape the other Marines grasp he noticed a piece of wood near him. With a swift kick he flung it towards the rushing Marine and with the grace of a blind bat he stepped on the wooden plank and began to slip towards the two.

Suddenly he lost grip of the ball and Joseph closed his eyes. It seemed like he was in for it. However, a few seconds passed and nothing hurt and as he began to open his eyes he noticed the grip on his leg had ceased. Looking down Joseph saw the ball on the skull of the fallen Marine. Not believing his luck he laughed.

As Greyhound crashed through the ceiling be being back in the main deck of the ship- where the fight started- he quickly twisted his body so that he would be able to land of the ship's surface. His clothing tattered and his fashionable glasses now broken. He slowly removed them to look at the damage with his own eyes. He balled his hand up into a strong clad fist, glass from his glasses cutting into his rough hand. Blood would drop down into the wood just as he let his glasses fall to the surface. He used his boot to finish off his glasses, his eyes now filled with anger: ”Shugoooo! he howled his name into the afternoon sky. He had underestimated his opponent and could not deny Shugo had got the best of him in their brief exchange.

Wicked laughter would come from the lower deck, this laughter being Shugo. He loved the sound of Greyhound sounding irritated. He wanted to hear more, he needed to hear more! His lust for blood and a just opponent had not been satisfied just yet. He would not be satisfied till he found death, nor would Greyhound. He wanted justice, he began to question just how Shugo went unnoticed all this time, why was his bounty so low. He began to question the values of the military, as if someone was pulling strings. These thoughts would lead him nowhere, but to second guess his peers. Shugo was a former assassin, trained by the marines themselves, so he knew exactly how to cover his track if he need to, but lately he just was lucky with being untraceable. Although the underground circuit is very familiar with his action and want his head just as much as the military does, but Greyhound knew not of the underground circle.

” I'm not done with you just yet! I wanna hear you beg!!” Shugo voice would force Greyhound to snap out of his daze, he peered down the hole to see Shugo standing. There eyes would meet and no words would be needed. They understood each other, Shugo showing sign that promised him to be future trouble if not stopped here. Motivated and driven by his undying will to justice, Greyhound threw himself into the fray once more:” I underestimated you Nagasaki, but prepare yourself! From here on out, you will receive nothing but a beating. I can admit that you are skilled, but the pages to your story end here. I, Greyhound will bring you to justice.” Greyhound meant every word he said, his words carried strength and his true feelings. Shugo's wicked laughter would come to an ultimate halt. He didn't like the idea of being restrained, he refused to be chained down again, to be a dog of the military.

As he thought about his conflicting past, he could not help but be filled with anger. Shugo was always once to switch moods on a dime:”No! No! Nooo! To hell with your justice!!!Words invoked by anger, his freedom was all he had and his journey is what kept him alive. He maneuvered his hand in ways that allowed for his Throned Kaze to extend to its maximum. It's blade would be aimed for the surface which Greyhound stood. His sword ripped through the ground as it carved a path to its target, chasing down the fleeing Greyhound viciously. The blade would only extend so far before retracting, once at its maximum length, Greyhound would take advantage of this. He coated his hand in a thick layer of armaments and grabbed ahold of the blade. With all his might he pulled it, forcing Shugo to crash through the deck.

”You're Mine!” Greyhound yelled as Shugo drew closer against his own will. With his freehand he threw a straight punch coated in Haki at the gut of Shugo. Nagasaki still having his other sword in his left hand, he would be able to move it into the path of the incoming punch. He was able to reduce the damage done, but the attack carried such force, upon hitting Shugo it released a shockwave. The shockwave carried through the entire ship, creating cracks along the deck surface. Wind typhoned around the area tearing holes in the sails and even ripping the marine flag to shreds. Shugo's body spiraled through the air before crashing into the bow of the ship. Blood spewed from his mouth as he groaned in pain.

He had took some hard hits in his life, but that was by far the hardest, if it wasn't for him putting one of his blades in the path of the attack, that punch would have ripped through him. He had never imagined a punch could be so strong. He questioned if it was the armaments that assisted in such powerful punch. He began to see his grandfather was right, one can not win with site alone. The power of a King.. he whispered as he struggled to his feet. He knew that he needed such power. He through the would need no such thing for so long, but Greyhound opened his eyes:”I will conquer everything!” A bow was now made to the world. Shugo eyes swelling with ambitious fire! Sheathing both his blades only to draw Flaming Kaze. His sword burned with intensity, although there was no actual flame, a heat wave expelled from his sword. A force so strong that within the rage of his sword, air would turn to steam.

”Stubborn are you, I really hoped that would put you down, but I Guess you don't learn. I can see you can barely stand from that last hit… you can fight me on the level you ha-” His words cut short as his eyes began to follow the blade of Shugo, who had just raised the blade above his head: “Be devoured by the wind! Kenjin No Michi, Blix: Kaze Strike.”Shugo delivered a single stroke with such ferociousness, the wind itself began to bend, creating a sphere around the area. The wind than acted as his blade, delivering a single deadly slash to any enemy within the encompassed area. Once the sphere of wind has been made anything/one who passes through its enclosure also get cut

Within the area would be Greyhound, as if the wind had directed all its attention on him, a mighty blade would assault his torso. A gash so deep his rips became visible. The ship it self also being a victim to Shugo's display of power, completely severing one of the main pole that held up the sails. Falling into the see it created a wave to splash onto the ship. Due to using Flaming Kaze -his katana of choice- the wind would carry extreme heat, being able to ignite the sails along the ship. Greyhound would be laying on the ground once the wind stopped howling. He gazed upon his burning sails with animosity. He struggled to move his body, but with no prevail. The unexpected attack caused him fatal damage. Breathing heavily, Shugo would be standing on both his feet, his eye along the burning sail, but for him this was an accomplishment. He won this battle on his own, so he roared to let his victory be know. This was truely the start to his story.

Joseph was wondering about the life of the men that he had killed that day and it was almost getting to him that there might be something to this whole pirate thing that he wouldn’t be able to take psychologically. However, there was still a fight involved in the underbelly of the ship. He had killed more than three people that day and one more wouldn’t really do more to his psyche. As Joseph prepared to kill the final Marine of the crew he noticed that the man was down on his knees crying. It was as if the whole life of the man had come crumbling down and he had no more will to fight ever again after killing his Marine friend.

Then a moment of peace rained over the small cabin as above them another fight was happening. The ship had been shaking this whole time and Joseph was just hoping that it was Shugo that was winning. He knew that the man above him, the commander would be too much for him to handle and it would be the end of the story.

Listen dude, I have grown bored with this whole thing and it doesn’t look like you can really do anything anymore. In fact I want you to give the Marines my name. I want you to tell them that Joseph “White Ghost” Roy did all this. Will you do that or should I kill you now? Joseph stated before he grabbed the man from his collar.

I will do it. I can’t do this no more. Just please go I will tell them of you. The Marine stated as he groveled at Joseph’s feet.

With that in mind Joseph punched the Marine and headed upstairs to see what happened with the fight as there was no more sounds coming from the deck. As Joseph walked up the stairs he witnessed a sight that gave him a smile. Shugo stood triumphant but a little roughed up, however, compared to the Commander that was eviscerated he seemed to have had a better result.

Where to boss man? We need to get out of here before something bad happens to us. By the way, all the dudes that I had are done for. I left one alive to tell the Marines my name, I want one of those bounties if I am going to be a real pirate. Joseph stated smiling at his pirate friend.

Shugo would smile as he finally was able to relax. The battle was hard fought but he came out ontop. His training had prevailed, but he could see the flaws in his approach. Only being proficient in Observation Haki, he could see that his Grandfather was right. He felt as if he was meant for more, the power of a King. He thought back to when he first encountered Anti, he could feel such power surge through his body, yet he struggled to project such power. It's was as if his will to live was screaming, becoming a powerful super natural force. He was unsure of how to use it back than, but he felt like he knew the answer now, or only that, but he could see how valuable it was to have Armaments Haki. He felt he was incomplete, a self proclaimed master of swordsmanship, yet he felt so incompetent now.

He laughed under his breath slightly as he lowered his head. Sheathing both of his blade he than would take a seat, his injures getting the best of him he was too weak to stand any longer:”Well Dad, guess I'm just not as good as I thought.” He thought to himself as he continued to laugh, although he was unsure of his own abilities, he was happy. For some reasoned he felt relieved. Maybe because he now knew there was so much more for him to learn? Shugo knew his peak was far from where he is now, he knew there was a whole other world of power out there. The wind began to whisper to him as it suddenly blew, he close his eyes only for a moment to embrace its breeze, once he opened his eyes his face would be burning bright like the sun, he knew what he needed to do. ”The New Word eh. That where I'll reach my end point. That's where I'll find my greatest foe...that's where I'll truly become the God Of Swordsmen. ”

Being deep within thought he would not notice Jospeh until he spoke. He nodded his head repeatedly as he crossed his arms. Joseph was right, now was the time to get the fuck out of here, but the ship was badly damaged after the battle. It's Sails now burned to ash, so how would it even catch wind? “Hey you! Just how the hell do you know Anti is dead!” Shugo almost forgot about Anti’s remnant crew mates. He counted them and they all were alive, they were able to fight off the marines with no help, they proved to be quite admirable. Shugo smiled this may just be easier than he thought. “Your boss, we killed em. There a new chain of command now and I'm the head, and Jospeh is the next. You all will listen to us or die. Now make use of your self. Try me if you want to, I could beat you all with just one arm.”

Hesitant in their answer, they each looked away and pouted much like children. They knew they didn't stand a chance against Shugo, there was no reason to die a pointless death. The unwillingly agreed to his terms but it was only to carry on the name of Anti. They did not want to die and such place and leave his legacy as just another failed story. They still wished to sail the sea and spread their recklessness, they actually had a deeper reason for following Anti, each being personal.
Yet the truth on Shugo's part was, his injures had took a toll on him, so fighting them would be complicated, winning was a possible, but it would require too much effort right now and oddly all he wanted to do was rest.

“Well, appreciation the cooperation, now we need to replace these sails, I'm sure that they have spares. Back when I was on a Marine ship of my own, they kept it all in storage. I'll leave that up to you guys and your not KKK or what ever the fuck members anymore. While traveling with me you are yourself. I'm not a fan of crews, they piss me off..but you do belong to me until I say otherwise. Now replace my fucking sails and take us somewhere nice. This route is fucking terrible… well don't just stand there hurry up! Joseph...uh, i don't care what you do, just make sure they don't try to abandon us at sea.”

These were the last orders Shugo gave before walking to the captain's quarters, his new crew member would throw Greyhounds body back along the dock along with the rest of the marine bodies before angrily doing what they were told. Oddly the group was fast at work and very obedient. Even though they carried hate for Shugo and Joseph they wanted to get the fuck out of here just as much as anyone on the ship. Shugo rested his head on the pillow as he closed his eyes to soothe his pain. With a smile he would drift into a slumber. Singing would sound from the ship deck as they finally changed the sails and raised the anchor. That had left the port and set out to the sea, destination unknown. A ragtag group of individuals with the worst possible leader were now on the sea, none had no idea what awaited them in the distant future , but they really didn't care. Well Shugo didn't.

Going undetected, one had been watching from a distance. Watching the full exchange and battle that took place. His hand moved rapidly as he scribbled words into a notepad. Snickering softly to himself, he was planning something devious.
”Well how about that. You're gonna pay for what you did to me earlier Shugo. You took my shiny gold Dragon Hair Pen! And I want it back! Now knowing who you are, you better watch your back! You are gonna die for disrespecting a royal like me. Not only will the marine know of you and your but buddy, but I know some guys from the underground waiting to get a punk like you.” laughing wickedly as he watched Shugo sail in the sun set, this small man was setting things into action.
